This paper proposes a modeling system developed in order to analyze the urban freight transport and logistics within urban and metropolitan areas. A review of models developed to simulate this segment of mobility is also reported. The review analysis highlights the limits of models for the ex-ante assessment of city logistics measures. For this reason this paper proposes a new modeling system approach for the assessment of city logistics measures. It is made of different steps approaching problems related to quantity OD (Origin-Destination) flows, restocking type OD flows, delivery OD flows, delivery OD flows for time slice and vehicle type, and vehicle OD flows. This modeling system has been specified and calibrated using some surveys carried out in the inner area of Rome where more than 500 truck drivers and more than 600 retailers have been interviewed. 展开更多

Modal choice models applied to interregional or international freight transportation network models are often based on rather coarse origin-destination matrices, containing annual transported tonnages between (sub)regions, for instance. Generally, only basic (sometimes constructed) independent variables (transportation costs or transit times) are used because other variables such as shipment sizes, service frequencies, etc. are not available. Using origin-destination matrices and an assignment model, it is also possible to compute spatial accessibility measures that can further be used as additional explanatory variables. Indeed, several published studies have identified network accessibility as an important element in the mode-choice decision. This paper also shows that the inclusion of an accessibility measure in the utility functions of a logit model substantially improves the performance of a transportation network model, both in the modal choice and the assignment levels of the classical four-step model. Consequently, the assignment of the estimated modal demands results in more accurate estimated traffic on the networks. The model presented in this paper is to be considered as a proof of concept because its workflow should further be streamlined to make it easily useable by modelers. 展开更多

Modeling Freight Truck Trips in Birmingham Using Tour-Based Approach

This research study explores the use of an innovative freight tour-based approach to model truck trips as an alternative to the conventional trip-based approach. The tour-based approach is more realistic as it captures the intermediate stops of each truck and reflects the implications of those stops on vehicle miles traveled (VMT). The paper describes the truck tour-based model concept, and presents the framework of a truck tour-based travel demand forecasting approach. As a case study, Global Positioning System (GPS) truck data are used to determine origin, destination, and truck stops for trucks moving within the Birmingham, Alabama region. Such information is then utilized to model truck movements within the study region as individual truck tours. The tour-based model is ran, and the resulting performance measures are contrasted to those obtained from the conventional trip-based planning model used by the Regional Planning Commission of Greater Birmingham (RPCGB). This case study demonstrates the feasibility of using a tour-based freight demand forecasting model as an alternative to the conventional 4-step process currently used to estimate truck trips in the Birmingham region. The results and lessons learned from the Birmingham case study are expected to improve truck movement modeling practices in the region and advance the accuracy of truck travel demand forecasting models at other locations in the future. 展开更多

This paper presents a general framework that can be used to estimate direct and cross elasticities for freight transport using a network model. This methodology combines operational research (network assignments in a geographical information system) with more classical econometrics (multinomial logit choice models). The application of the method to a real-world case is illustrated by a simple model that relies on the generalized cost of transport as the only explanatory variable in the utility function. The methodological framework allows, however, for the implementation of more complex functions. Beside the generalized cost functions for road, rail and inland waterways transport, the network model needs origin-destination matrixes and digitized networks. They are imported from ETIS Plus, a European transport policy information system. A set of direct and cross elasticities is presented. The estimated values are obtained using two methods: the first computes standard elasticities, while the second estimates arc elasticities. Figures are presented for Europe and for a large region around the Benelux countries, where more competition exists between the three modes of interest. 展开更多

以X_(70)型集装箱专用平车(转K6转向架)为研究对象,基于车辆多体动力学仿真与能耗数学建模相结合的方法,通过构建4车连挂小编组SIMPACK平车模型,经满载车辆分别以20 km/h、40 km/h、60 km/h和80 km/h速度直线线路仿真运行后,提取相关结... 以X_(70)型集装箱专用平车(转K6转向架)为研究对象,基于车辆多体动力学仿真与能耗数学建模相结合的方法,通过构建4车连挂小编组SIMPACK平车模型,经满载车辆分别以20 km/h、40 km/h、60 km/h和80 km/h速度直线线路仿真运行后,提取相关结果数据用于车辆能耗数学模型计算,得到了平车的常规摩擦源、轮轨系统、阻尼元件、轴承元件以及车钩冲击等能耗贡献情况,系统性揭示了X_(70)型集装箱专用平车满载直线运行时不同速度下的结构能耗特征。研究结果表明:结构总能耗和总能耗功率均随速度呈线性增长,结构总能耗与TB/T 1407.1-2018标准中计算结构总能耗的相对差小于5%;轮轨系统能耗呈现出“滑动能耗增,滚动能耗和总体能耗减”的反向演变趋势;缓冲器、斜楔摩擦、二系弹簧和一系橡胶等结构能耗随车速正增长,是车辆耗散振动能量的重要部分。 展开更多

Unfortunately, it is difficult to collect this data in a timely, cost-effective manner. This paper presents a methodology that uses matrix estimation techniques from existing traffic counts to develop origin/destination pairs that can be used to statistically develop truck trip generation models. Typically, freight transportation is indirectly modeled or as an after-thought. Increasing freight volumes, coupled with cost saving strategies such as just-in-time delivery systems, require that transportation policymakers analyze infrastructure needs and make investment decisions that explicitly include freight volumes as a component. This paper contains a case study using a medium sized urban area travel model and the QRFM trip generation and a distribution methodology to provide a framework for freight planning that can be used to improve resource allocation decisions. 展开更多

It is part of a series of research projects on a distribution system we developed to deal with cases in a public service obligation state-owned company (PSO-SOC). This current research is characterized by the consideration of background traffic of the entire time period of planning rather than one certain time target on location model. It is aimed that the location decision to be more applicable and accommodative to the dynamic of the traffic condition. Once the decision is implemented, it will give the best outcome for the entire time period, not only for the initial time, end time or certain time of time period. A heuristic approach is proposed to simplify complexity of the model and network representation technique is applied to solve the model. A hyphotetical example is discussed to illustrate the mechanism of finding the optimal solution in term of both its objective function and applicability. 展开更多

The algorithm of combining elite competition strategy with multi-objective particle swarm optimization technology is introduced, and the winning particles are obtained through the competition between two elite particles to guide the update of other particles, so as to balance the convergence and distribution of multi-objective particle swarm optimization. The performance comparison experimental results verify the superiority of the proposed algorithm. 为预测CCFI提供新的视角,将2018年1月~2023年2月中国出口集装箱运价指数美东航线(CCFI美东航线)和中国出口集装箱运价指数美西航线(CCFI美西航线)同克拉克森集装箱港口拥堵指数(CPCI)构建向量自回归模型(VAR),定量分析港口拥堵对集装箱... 为预测CCFI提供新的视角,将2018年1月~2023年2月中国出口集装箱运价指数美东航线(CCFI美东航线)和中国出口集装箱运价指数美西航线(CCFI美西航线)同克拉克森集装箱港口拥堵指数(CPCI)构建向量自回归模型(VAR),定量分析港口拥堵对集装箱运价的影响机制。结合VEC模型来研究变量之间长期的均衡关系。考虑到国际原油价格、进出口贸易额等都会对CCFI波动产生影响,因而在建立VAR模型前,本文采用OLS方法检验港口拥堵指数是否能独立于控制变量(布伦特原油价格、进出口贸易额)对CCFI波动产生影响。研究结果表明:(1)港口拥堵导致集装箱运力和港口资源被占用,中-美出口集装箱航线上的运力分布及运输策略发生变化,继而引起分航线上CCFI出现不同程度的波动;(2)港口拥堵对集装箱运价产生的影响效应会维持近三个月;(3)无论美东航线还是美西航线,美国港口拥堵比中国港口的拥堵更能推动集装箱运价指数的攀升。 展开更多

为应对日益复杂多变的市场环境带来的航空货运市场供需不平衡问题,提高航空货运量预测精度对于航线规划和供应链优化等具有重要意义。首先基于2000年1月—2022年12月的月度航空货运数据作为训练集,通过季节性分解法(seasonal and trend ... 为应对日益复杂多变的市场环境带来的航空货运市场供需不平衡问题,提高航空货运量预测精度对于航线规划和供应链优化等具有重要意义。首先基于2000年1月—2022年12月的月度航空货运数据作为训练集,通过季节性分解法(seasonal and trend decomposition using loess, STL)捕捉季节性波动规律和长期变化趋势,然后基于深度学习的时间序列预测模型(long short-term memory-support vector regression, LSTM-SVR)来拟合因突发事件下的货运量引起的非线性变化,最后基于2023年全年的月度数据对预测模型进行检验。结果表明:基于季节和组合预测模型(STL-SVR-LSTM)相比于传统方法如自回归移动平均(autoregressive integrated moving average, ARIMA)、SVR或LSTM在突发事件下对航空货运量的预测更为准确。2023年的数据检验得出季节和组合预测模型均方根误差和平均绝对百分比误差分别为3.53和3.53%,拟合优度为0.79,LSTM模型预测结果次优,均方根误差和平均绝对百分比误差分别为5.66和7.73%,拟合优度为0.58,显著优于其他两种传统预测模型。可见该预测模型能适应复杂环境下的航空货运量预测,有助于在突发事件下为企业经营和增强供应链的稳定提供参考建议。 展开更多

重载货车在长期的服役过程中,车辆悬挂参数因为老化、疲劳等原因,与设计初始值之间会存在较大差异。而传统面向固定工况的多体动力学仿真模型,难以准确评估实际的车辆—轨道系统安全状态。针对这一问题,提出了对在役重载货车悬挂参数进... 重载货车在长期的服役过程中,车辆悬挂参数因为老化、疲劳等原因,与设计初始值之间会存在较大差异。而传统面向固定工况的多体动力学仿真模型,难以准确评估实际的车辆—轨道系统安全状态。针对这一问题,提出了对在役重载货车悬挂参数进行估计的方法。首先,以国内某型C80货车为原型,构建多体动力学仿真模型;其次,通过Sobol全局敏感性分析选取了10个对轮轨力影响较大的关键悬挂参数;再次,构建基于RBFNN的数据驱动代理模型,并以实际轮轨力为基准,结合NSGA-Ⅱ算法对关键悬挂参数进行估计;最后,将所估计参数代入多体动力学仿真模型,并进行了对比试验。研究结果表明:将估计后的结果带入模型,其仿真结果与实测的轮轨力进行对比,在直线工况下,轮轨横向力误差由9.28%降低到6.13%;在曲线工况下,这一误差由6.24%降低到4.95%;而在长大下坡工况下,误差由18.11%降低到16.24%,仿真轮轨力精度得到提升,表明了所提方法在估计重载货车悬挂参数上的有效性。 展开更多

为精确刻画匝道合流区客货混行条件下的车辆微观换道行为,本文以量化客货交互为切入点,构建并验证考虑货车影响的微观换道模型。首先,引入“压迫”概念,构建改进Morse势函数模型描述周边货车行驶对小汽车横纵驾驶行为产生的“压迫”影响... 为精确刻画匝道合流区客货混行条件下的车辆微观换道行为,本文以量化客货交互为切入点,构建并验证考虑货车影响的微观换道模型。首先,引入“压迫”概念,构建改进Morse势函数模型描述周边货车行驶对小汽车横纵驾驶行为产生的“压迫”影响;随后,分析小汽车换道过程中的横纵向“压迫”变化,提出一种考虑货车“压迫”影响的车辆换道决策模型(Modified Morse-Based Lane-Changing model,MMBLC);最后,基于实测轨迹数据进行数值仿真,验证模型的稳定性与有效性,并进一步利用Python与SUMO(Simulation of Urban Mobility)联合仿真,对比MMBLC模型和现有换道模型在交通流中的表现。结果表明:在稳定性分析中,MMBLC模型对交通流的影响更小,恢复稳定的速度更快;在货车占比30%和交通量3600 veh·h-1的主路3车道客货混行匝道合流区中,MMBLC模型相比LC2013和MOBIL(Model of Optimal Control Based on Interacting Trajectories)模型,换道成功率分别提高11.9%和53.1%,危险场景占比分别降低10.5%和52.8%。 展开更多
