This paper focuses on the practice of building ceramics industry in Foshan City in the clean energy transition from coal to gas,and discusses the challenges and solutions in the transition process.As an important base of China’s building ceramics industry,Foshan City’s energy transformation is of great importance to regional energy security and environmental protection.This paper summarizes the practical background and effect of Foshan’s energy transformation and points out the challenges in the process of natural gas supply stability,technological renewal,and market competition.By comparing the experience of coal to gas at home and abroad,the paper summarizes the enlightenment of policy promotion,technological innovation,and upstream and downstream cooperation in the industrial chain.Based on this,the paper puts forward policy suggestions on strengthening policy support and supervision,promoting technological innovation,and research and development.Finally,it emphasizes the importance of promoting energy transformation to Foshan’s sustainable development and puts forward practical solutions. 展开更多

Under the guidance of national policies,the“coal to gas”project has become one of the important measures to promote the transformation of energy structure in China.Foshan,an important industrial town in Guangdong province,the implementation of the“coal to gas”policy has demonstrated significance for the optimization of the national energy structure.Through the analysis of the change in Foshan’s energy consumption structure and the implementation of the policy,this paper found that there were some challenges in the policy implementation process,such as high economic cost,lagging infrastructure,low social acceptance,and lack of technical personnel.To address this,suggestions are put forward,including increasing financial subsidies,improving laws and regulations,promoting technological innovation,and encouraging social inclusion policies.These recommendations aim to provide guidance and reference for the remaining“coal to gas”projects and the development of clean energy. 展开更多

To adapt to national climate change strategies,understanding the thermal vulnerability of urban functional zones(UFZs)is critical for enhancing the livability and sustainable development of cities.We address the limitations of existing thermal vulnerability assessments by incorporating human perception into the analysis.Specifically,we introduce the sky openness index to reflect human perception of the thermal environment and examine variations in thermal vulnerability across different UFZs.Using the Extreme Gradient Boosting(XGBoost)-SHapley Additive exPlanations(SHAP)model,we analyze the contributions of 2D and 3D urban form indicators to thermal vulnerability and link these contributions to the unique needs and vulnerability characteristics of UFZs of Foshan City,China in 2023.The results reveal that:1)high-value heat-fragile areas(1.74–2.00]constitute 10.42%of Foshan City;2)traffic zone and publiccommercial zone exhibit the highest levels of thermal vulnerability;and 3)building height and the normalized building index are the most influential factors,with contributions of|0.06|and|0.03|,respectively.We provide a scientific foundation for developing governance strategies to promote urban resilience. 展开更多

The results of regression analysis showed F〉F0.05, indicating that fertilizer quantity is of significant regression relationship with yield. It was analyzed that yield-increasing range of N fertilizer was directly proportional to fertilizer quanti- ty, and negative yield even occurs if excessive P fertilizer is applied. In general, fertilizer effects from high to low were N fertilizer〉K ferUlizer〉P fertilizer. Besides, on equation aralysls, it was proposed the optimal fertilizer quantities included N fertilizer (N) of 270 kg, P fertilizer (PUs) of 165 kg and K fertilizer (K20) of 225 kg for achieving ideal yield of 2 500 kg/hm2 of luffa in Foshan. [Objectives]The study aims to provide important reference for the breeding and research of new varieties of functional broad-shoulder bitter gourd.[Methods]8 pure varieties of local broad-shoulder bitter gourd landraces in Foshan were used as experimental materials,in which polysaccharide,cellulose and vitamin C content were measured.[Results]Among the 8 varieties of local self-selected broad-shoulder bitter gourd in Foshan,the polysaccharide content of Foxuan 6 was the highest,up to 113.78 mg/100 (g·FW),which was significantly higher than that of the other 7 varieties.The polysaccharide content of Foxuan 2 was the lowest.The cellulose content of Foxuan 8 was the highest,reaching 24.50 mg/100 (g·FW),which was significantly higher than that of the other 7 varieties.The cellulose content of Foxuan 4 was the lowest.The vitamin C content of Foxuan 5 was the highest,reaching 74.24 mg/100 (g·FW),which was significantly higher than that of the other 7 varieties.The vitamin C content of Foxuan 4 was the lowest,only 7.05 mg/100 (g·FW).In a word,there were big differences between the 8 varieties of broad-shoulder bitter gourd in terms of polysaccharide,cellulose and vitamin C content.[Conclusions]It is possible to make full use of their own quality differences and develop new varieties of functional broad-shoulder bitter gourd by means of cross combination. 展开更多

Chikungunya fever(CF)is caused by chikungunya virus(CHIKV),which is transmitted to humans through the bites of infected female Aedes mosquitoes.CHIKV has been documented in over 110 countries across Asia,Africa,Europe,and the Americas(1).China reported its first imported case of CF in 2008.Between 2010 and 2019,local outbreaks resulting from imported cases were documented in Guangdong(2),Zhejiang(3),and Yunnan provinces(4).On July 9,2025,Foshan City,Guangdong Province reported a cluster of CF cases.As of July 26,a total of 4,824 confirmed cases had been reported(5)across 12 prefecture-level cities in Guangdong,with 4,754 cases(98.5%)occurring in Foshan and 70 cases(1.5%)distributed among the other 11 prefectures.The majority of cases were concentrated in Shunde District of Foshan,which accounted for 4,208 cases(87.2%of all provincial cases). 展开更多

Introduction:Chikungunya virus(CHIKV),an arthropod-borne alphavirus transmitted by Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus,causes fever,severe joint pain,and rash.By 2025,it has triggered outbreaks in 119 countries,endangering 5.5 million people.Recent epidemics in Foshan,China,have strained healthcare systems,underscoring the need to characterize viral load dynamics across infection phases.Methods:We collected 1,156 clinical samples from four Foshan hospitals in July 2025,spanning 6 days before to 12 days after symptom onset.Specimens included serum(904 valid),saliva(22),urine(4),throat swabs(3),and stool(37).CHIKV RNA was quantified via qRT-PCR;timepoints and specimen types with insufficient samples were excluded.Results:Serum showed the highest positivity(90%),followed by saliva(68%),throat swabs(15%),and urine(11%);stool was negative(0%).Serum also had the highest viral loads,confirming its optimal utility.Viral RNA was detectable as early as 1 day presymptom onset(day-1).Days 0–7 post-onset marked explosive replication and elevated loads,representing the optimal sampling window.From Day 8 onward,loads declined,requiring IgG testing to avoid false negatives.Conclusions:Serum is the gold standard for acute CHIKV diagnosis,with superior positivity and viral loads.Pre-symptomatic viral shedding(day-1)supports enhanced port-of-entry screening to intercept imported cases.Days 0–7 post-onset is the optimal sampling window for acute infection.During clearance(day 8+),IgG testing complements molecular diagnostics to reduce gaps.These findings inform evidence-based diagnosis,outbreak control,and resource allocation. 展开更多

Background:Triatomines,also known as kissing bugs,which are found throughout the world and especially in Latin America,are well known natural vectors that transmit American trypanosomiasis,also called Chagas disease.In China,the presence of two species of Triatoma(Triatoma rubrofasciata and T.sinica)was recorded in the past.Due to the growing population and the increasing risk of the global spread of Chagas disease,triatomines became a potential public health nuisance,and in 2016,we started monitoring triatomine activities in southern China.Methods:Triatomine specimens were collected by the National Institute of Parasitic Diseases,Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention,and identified by their morphological characteristics under a dissecting microscope.In addition to morphological analysis,the genomic DNA of the specimens was extracted,and the mitochondrial 16S rRNA,the cytochrome b(CytB)gene and the nuclear ribosomal 28S rRNA gene were PCRamplified to analyze and confirm the species genetically.Results:One female adult insect and one male adult insect were collected in a dwelling in the rural area of Shunde County,Foshan City,Guangdong Province,China(22°42′44.63″N,113°08′45.34″E).The results from the morphological and genetic analyses indicated that these triatomines were T.rubrofasciata.Conclusions:This is the first time that the occurrence of T.rubrofasciata has been confirmed in Foshan City,Guangdong Province in southern China.Further studies are needed to reach a clearer understanding of the ecology of this species of triatomine,since it has been found to be naturally infected by Trypanosoma cruzi and T.conorhini and there is evidence of its domiciliation capabilities. 展开更多

目的:分析佛山市新生儿地中海贫血(简称地贫)发生情况。方法:采用整群抽样法,选择佛山市妇幼保健院2023年1月—2024年11月的104827例佛山地区新生儿,出生后48 h~7 d采集足跟血,先进行地贫电泳筛查,对筛查异常患儿经家长同意后行基因检测... 目的:分析佛山市新生儿地中海贫血(简称地贫)发生情况。方法:采用整群抽样法,选择佛山市妇幼保健院2023年1月—2024年11月的104827例佛山地区新生儿,出生后48 h~7 d采集足跟血,先进行地贫电泳筛查,对筛查异常患儿经家长同意后行基因检测,采用统计方法分析数据。结果:对104827例佛山地区新生儿进行筛查,共确诊地贫2133例,其中α地贫1667例(占比78.15%)、β地贫393例(占比18.42%)、α复合β地贫73例(占比3.42%)。α地贫基因类型中,--^(SEA)/αα占47.63%、-α^(3.7)/αα占27.53%、-α^(4.2)/αα占11.40%、αα^(CS)/αα占3.78%、αα^(WS)/αα占3.30%、αα^(QS)/αα占2.40%;β地贫基因类型中,β^(CD41-42)/β占48.85%,β^(IVS-Ⅱ-654)/β占18.58%,β^(CD17)/β占12.47%,β^(-28)/β占9.67%,β^(CD26)/β占4.58%;α复合β地贫基因类型中,(--^(SEA)/αα)(β^(CD41-42)/β)占15.07%,(-α^(3.7)/αα)(β^(CD41-42)/β)占13.70%,(-α^(3.7)/αα)(β^(IVS-Ⅱ-654)/β)占13.70%。α地贫基因以--^(SEA)/αα占比最高;β地贫基因以β^(CD41-42)/β占比最高。2023年1—12月β地贫的发病率为0.44%,高于2024年1—11月的0.32%(P<0.05)。三水区、高明区、禅城区及南海区的确诊占比分别为24.94%、21.38%、26.11%、27.57%。胎龄<32周地贫确诊占比为49.41%,32~<37周地贫确诊占比为31.74%,而胎龄≥37周地贫确诊占比仅为18.85%。体重≤2500 g新生儿的地贫确诊占比为57.71%,体重>2500 g地贫确诊占比为42.29%。结论:佛山市新生儿地贫发病率因年份不同而有所差异,胎龄<32周、体重≤2500 g的新生儿地贫确诊占比较高,需有关部门高度关注。 展开更多

目的:对佛山地区的社会人群进行献血等相关问题的调查分析,以期采取有针对性的措施招募和保留献血者,从而改善临床用血紧张的现状。方法:采取线上整群抽样法问卷调查的方式对佛山地区献血人数减少的原因进行调查,调查对象共1570位,调查... 目的:对佛山地区的社会人群进行献血等相关问题的调查分析,以期采取有针对性的措施招募和保留献血者,从而改善临床用血紧张的现状。方法:采取线上整群抽样法问卷调查的方式对佛山地区献血人数减少的原因进行调查,调查对象共1570位,调查内容包括年龄、性别、职业、户籍及封闭性和开放性问题等几个方面。进行必要的描述性统计,采用多因素Logistic回归分析影响献血的主要因素。结果:结合有无献血经历的人员比较,差异无统计学意义(P>0.05);多因素Logistic回归分析表明,献血的安全性(OR=2.032,P<0.05)、个人健康状况(OR=1.876,P<0.05)、献血点是否方便(OR=0.542,P<0.05)及工作人员的态度和技术(OR=0.621,P<0.05)差异有统计学意义。结论:献血的安全性、个人健康状况、献血便利性、工作人员的态度和技术是影响献血意愿的主要因素,应采取相应的措施招募和保留献血者。 展开更多
