In recent years,China’s private higher education has developed significantly,and private universities have become one of the“two schools”.However,due to the expansion of the scale of public schools,the limited supp...In recent years,China’s private higher education has developed significantly,and private universities have become one of the“two schools”.However,due to the expansion of the scale of public schools,the limited supply of teachers in private colleges,and the mismatch between the supply and demand of graduate employment,the crisis of students in private colleges and universities has become increasingly serious,and the pressure of survival and competition is increasing.The main purpose of this study is to explore the influence of Guangxi University of Foreign Languages marketing mix and brand awareness on brand loyalty,and to provide recommendations for Guangxi University of Foreign Languages private universities.The researchers will use a quantitative approach to study the effect of two independent variables(marketing mix and brand awareness)on the dependent variable(brand loyalty).A total of 414 questionnaires were distributed to students of Guangxi University of Foreign Languages and analyzed using statistical software SPSS.Perform descriptive statistical analysis to understand the sample of respondents;perform reliability and validity analysis to ensure the reliability and validity of the questionnaire;perform correlation analysis to determine the correlation between independent and dependent variables;and perform regression analysis,to explore the influence and degree of influence of various factors on the brand loyalty of private colleges and universities.Research shows that marketing mix and brand awareness have a significant positive impact on brand loyalty of private universities.Finally,based on the research results,five suggestions are put forward from the perspective of private universities to help private university brands improve customer brand loyalty and their own brand competitiveness.展开更多
This study investigates the inputs of multicultural awareness in the teaching of English as a foreign language in Togo.It posits that in multicultural contexts,the teaching and learning of foreign languages face vario...This study investigates the inputs of multicultural awareness in the teaching of English as a foreign language in Togo.It posits that in multicultural contexts,the teaching and learning of foreign languages face various challenges.These challenges can be successfully raised through an integration of local cultural elements while developing English learning materials.The study employed a structured questionnaire which was administered to 320 students and 8 lecturers from the two Togolese public universities.It also used interviews and classroom observations to access the English language teaching/learning system in Togo.The study is anchored on Vygotsky’s Social Constructivism Theory,which propounds that language and culture play essential roles both in human intellectual development and in how humans perceive the world.The analysis of the data showed that in a multicultural context,the designing of foreign language textbooks and learning tutorials and,classroom activities require an inclusion of foreign and local realities such as language features,culinary system,proverbs,stories and folktales,tradi-tional festivals,and wedding celebration.The integration of local material and non-material culture help reduce student’s fear and anxiety in English language class-rooms and boost their willingness to learn the language.展开更多

This study examines the predictive roles of foreign language classroom anxiety(FLCA),foreign language enjoyment(FLE),and foreign language boredom(FLB)in English achievement among Chinese senior high school students.De...This study examines the predictive roles of foreign language classroom anxiety(FLCA),foreign language enjoyment(FLE),and foreign language boredom(FLB)in English achievement among Chinese senior high school students.Despite extensive research on anxiety in language learning,less attention has been given to boredom,and the combined effects of these three emotions on English achievement remain under-explored,particularly among high school students in China.To address these gaps,a sample of 142 students from Guangzhou was surveyed using questionnaires to assess their emotional experiences and English achievement.The research found that FLE exhibited a positive correlation with academic performance,while FLCA and FLB showed negative associations.Notably,FLE was the most significant predictor of English achievement,followed by FLCA and FLB.Gender differences were observed,with male students reporting significantly higher levels of environmental enjoyment,while female students experienced significantly greater communication anxiety.On this basis,this paper offers suggestions on how to enhance senior high school students’FLE while mitigating FLCA and FLB,thereby promoting more effective and sustained English learning.展开更多

文摘The construction of new liberal arts emphasizes interdisciplinary integration and the cultivation of compound talents,providing new opportunities for the collaborative development of foreign language majors and tourism majors in universities.The“foreign language+tourism”teaching model,by integrating the instrumental nature of language and the applied nature of tourism,aims to cultivate compound talents with both cross-cultural communication skills and practical capabilities in the tourism industry.Based on the background of new liberal arts,this paper analyzes the current status and challenges of“foreign language+tourism”teaching in universities,and proposes specific teaching paths from the dimensions of curriculum system reconstruction,teaching model innovation,faculty team optimization,and evaluation mechanism improvement,aiming to provide a theoretical reference for cultivating high-quality talents adapted to the high-quality development needs of the cultural and tourism industry.

文摘Ideological and political education in courses is an important task of higher education in the new era.As a crucial part of higher education,foreign language teaching needs to actively explore effective integration with ideological and political education in courses.The AVIVA teaching model,a student-centered teaching model,provides new ideas for foreign language teaching.Based on an analysis of the current situation of foreign language courses in application-oriented universities,this article discusses the application strategies of the AVIVA teaching model from the perspective of ideological and political education in courses.Through specific teaching practice cases,it demonstrates the effectiveness of this model in improving students’foreign language proficiency and ideological and political literacy,providing a reference for the reform of foreign language teaching in application-oriented universities.

文摘This review interrogates empirical and theoretical research on agentic engagement in foreign language(FL)learning.Through synthesizing peer-reviewed studies from Web of Science and CNKI databases,it maps the theoretical evolution,methodological innovations,key influencing factors and proposed suggestion for further research on student agency.Future research should prioritize,longitudinal studies,culturally comparative designs,validity constructs and ethical evaluations of artificial intelligence’s impact on learner autonomy.This review calls for a holistic approach to FL education,where agentic engagement bridges individual initiative,pedagogical innovation,and sociocultural responsiveness to empower learners in multilingual global contexts.

文摘This paper selects the widely used New Practical Chinese Readers,a comprehensive teaching material for Chinese as a foreign language,analyzing its content selection,presentation format,and organizational characteristics.By reviewing the inclusion of Chinese opera cultural elements in this material,the study identifies existing issues and provides recommendations for improvement.Introducing opera culture into Chinese language teaching materials can align with global cultural exchanges,helping more people learn about traditional Chinese culture and enhancing China’s international influence.
文摘With the rapid evolution of information technology and the exponential development of artificial intelligence (AI), higher education has entered the age of digital intelligence. In this context, digital literacy has become an essential competency for educators. Grounded in Yoram Eshet-Alkalai’s five-dimensional framework of digital literacy-photo-visual literacy, reproduction literacy, branching literacy, information literacy, and socio-emotional literacy-this study explores the meaning, features, significance, and application of digital literacy for foreign language teachers in Chinese universities. Moreover, this paper uses several cases to elucidate how these five dimensions manifest in the professional practices of foreign language teachers in Chinese universities. Through clarifying what their digital literacy is, what dimensions it has, and what it can do, this study aims to provide theoretical foundations and practical insights for a comprehensive understanding and effective application of digital literacy for foreign language teachers in Chinese universities.
文摘Based on the definition and classification of modern Chinese cultural words,this paper expounds the necessity of paying attention to the teaching of cultural words in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.Then,the teaching strategies of cultural words are discussed from four aspects:vocabulary teaching,classification teaching,association teaching,and online teaching,in order to provide a reference for the actual teaching of teachers of Chinese as a foreign language.
