Firstly, the vibration frequency and mode of blade and runner in air and water are calculated. Secondly, the influences to runner frequency domain by large flow, small flow and design flow working conditions are compared. Finally the influences to runner modes by centrifugal forces under three rotating speeds of 400 r/rain, 500 r/min and 600 r/rain are compared. The centrifugal force and small flow working condition have greatly influence on the vibration of small runner. With the increase of centrifugal force, the vibration frequency of the runner is sharply increased. Some order frequencies are even close to the runner natural frequency in the air. Because the low frequency vibration will severely damage the stability of the turbine, low frequency vibration of units should be avoided as soon as possible.展开更多

With this fully coupled model, the rigid structure is taken as "fictitious" fluid with zero strain rate. Both fluid and structure are described by velocity and pressure. The whole domain, including fluid region and structure region, is modeled by the incompressible Navier-Stokes equations which are discretized with fixed Eulerian mesh. However, to keep the structure' s rigid body shape and behavior, a rigid body constraint is enforced on the "fictitious" fluid domain by use of the Distributed Lagrange Multipher/Fictitious Domain (DLM/ FD) method which is originally introduced to solve particulate flow problems by Glowinski et al. For the verification of the model presented herein, a 2D numerical wave tank is established to simulate small amplitude wave propagations, and then numerical results are compared with analytical solutions. Finally, a 2D example of fluid-structure interaction under wave dynamic forces provides convincing evidences for the method excellent solution quality and fidelity.展开更多

With the variation of aqueduct cross-section ratio of depth to width, the aqueduct transverse seismic response change. The transverse seismic response of a large-scale aqueduct in several work condition are calculated. It shows that the transverse seismic response is greatly influenced by the water mass in the aqueduct, but the shaking water play a TLD role. ff the whole water is appended aqueduct body, it will magnify seismic inertia action. When aqueduct cross-section is selected, the influence of ratio of depth and width to pier seismic response should be considered in order to reduce seismic action.展开更多

Be- cause the shape and rolling force distribution are very sensitive to strip thickness transverse distribution% variation, the iterative course is rather unstable and sometimes convergence cannot be achieved. In addition, the calculating speed of results coupling method is low, which restricts its usable range. To solve the problem, a new model cou- pling method is developed, which takes the force distribution between rolls, rolling force distribution and strip's exit transverse displacement distribution as basic unknowns, and integrates strip plastic deformation model and rolls elas- tic deformation model as a unified linear equations through their internal relation, so the iterative calculation between the strip plastic deformation model and rolls elastic deformation model can be avoided. To prove the effectiveness of the model coupling method, two examples are calculated by results coupling method and model coupling method re- spectively. The results of front tension stress, back tension stress, strip^s exit gauge, the force between rolls and rolling force distribution calculated by model coupling method coincide very well with results coupling method. How- ever the calculation course of model coupling method is more steady than results coupling method, and its calculating speed is about ten times as much as the maximal speed of results coupling method, which validates its practicability and reliability.展开更多

文摘Stony debris flows, characterized by coarse boulders embedded in a sediment-laden matrix, greatly amplify destructive potential by altering flow dynamics and impact forces.Conventional single-phase particle-fluidmixture models often struggle to capture the complexities introduced by coarse boulders and multi-phase interactions, while strong-coupling methods can be computationally prohibitive for practical hazard assessments. In this study,we propose a semi-hybrid,fully resolved coupling numerical framework for modeling boulder-laden debris flows. This framework conceptualizes debris flows as a composite system comprising a continuous viscous fluidphase(including finesediments)and a discrete phase of arbitrarily shaped coarse particles. The continuous phase is treated as a generalized nonlinear Coulomb-viscoplastic fluidusing the smoothed particle hydrodynamics(SPH)method, while coarse particles are modeled via the distributed contact discrete element method(DCDEM).These two phases are coupled through an efficienttwo-way resolved scheme, ensuring accurate simulation of flow-boulder interactions within a unifiedtimeframe. We validate the proposed method against two physical experiments:(1)gravity-driven concrete flows and(2)debris flowinteracting with slit-type barriers. Results confirmthe method's robustness in accurately capturing fluid-solid-structureinteractions and deposition processes. Its capabilities are further showcased through the simulation of a stony debris-flowevent inWenchuan County,China, highlighting its promise for real-world engineering applications and validating the effectiveness of the existing cascade dam system in mitigating debrisflowimpact and energy dissipation.

文摘Hydraulic fracturing technology has played an important role in the exploitation of unconventional oil and gas resources, however, its application to gas hydrate reservoirs has been rarely studied.Currently, there is still limited understanding of the propagation and extension of fractures around the wellbore during the fracturing process of horizontal wells in hydrate reservoirs,as well as the stress interference patterns between fractures. This study simulates hydraulic fracturing processes in hydrate reservoirs using a fluidsolid coupling discrete element method(DEM),and analyzes the impacts of hydrate saturation and geological and engineering factors on fracture extension and stress disturbance. The results show that hydraulic fracturing is more effective when hydrate saturation exceeds 30%and that fracture pressure increases with saturation. The increase in horizontal stress differential enhances the directionality of fracture propagation and reduces stress disturbance. The distribution uniformity index(DUI)reveals that injection pressure is directly proportional to the number of main fractures and inversely proportional to fracturing time, with fracturing efficiency depending on the spacing between injection points and the distance between wells. This work may provide reference for the commercial exploitation of natural gas hydrates.

文摘The vibration of a Francis turbine is analyzed with the additional quality matrix method based on fluid-structure coupling (FSC). Because the low frequency vibration will severely damage the stability of the turbine, low frequency vibration of units should be avoided as soon as possible.

文摘The dynamic characteristics of a single liquid-filled pipe have been broadly studied in the previous literature. The parallel liquid-filled pipe(PLFP)system is also widely used in engineering, and its structure is more complex than that of a single pipe. However, there are few reports about the dynamic characteristics of the PLFPs.Therefore, this paper proposes improved frequency modeling and solution for the PLFPs,involving the logical alignment principle and coupled matrix processing. The established model incorporates both the fluid-structure interaction(FSI)and the structural coupling of the PLFPs.The validity of the established model is verified by modal experiments. The effects of some unique parameters on the dynamic characteristics of the PLFPs are discussed. This work provides a feasible method for solving the FSI of multiple pipes in parallel and potential theoretical guidance for the dynamic analysis of the PLFPs in engineering.

文摘Based on global initiatives such as the clean energy transition and the development of renewable energy, the pumped storage power station has become a new and significant way of energy storage and regulation, and its construction environment is more complex than that of a traditional reservoir. In particular, the stability of the rock strata in the underground reservoirs is affected by the seepage pressure and rock stress, which presents some challenges in achieving engineering safety and stability.Using the advantages of the numerical simulation method in dealing deal with nonlinear problems in engineering stability,in this study, the stability of the underground reservoir of the Shidangshan(SDS)pumped storage power station was numerically calculated and quantitatively analyzed based on fluid-structure coupling theory, providing an important reference for the safe operation and management of the underground reservoir.First, using the COMSOL software,a suitablemechanicalmodel was created in accordance with the geological structure and project characteristics of the underground reservoir.Next, the characteristics of the stress field, displacement field, and seepage field after excavation of the underground reservoir were simulated in light of the seepage effect of groundwater on the nearby rock of the underground reservoir. Finally, based on the construction specifications and Molar-Coulomb criterion,a thorough evaluation of the stability of the underground reservoir was performed through simulation of the filling and discharge conditions and anti-seepage strengthening measures. The findings demonstrate that the numerical simulation results have a certain level of reliability and are in accordance with the stress measured in the project area. The underground reservoir excavation resulted in a maximum displacement value of the rock mass around the caverns of 3.56 mm in a typical section, and the safety coefficient of the parts,as determined using the Molar-Coulomb criterion, was higher than 1,indicating that the project as a whole is in a stable state.

文摘This paper, with a finite element method, studies the interaction of a coupled incompressible fluid-rigid structure system with a free surface subjected to external wave excitations. Finally, a 2D example of fluid-structure interaction under wave dynamic forces provides convincing evidences for the method excellent solution quality and fidelity.

文摘Based on the theory of Housner, the transverse seismic response of beam aqueduct considering fluid-structure coupling is established. When aqueduct cross-section is selected, the influence of ratio of depth and width to pier seismic response should be considered in order to reduce seismic action.

文摘A fluid-structure interaction approach is proposed in this paper based onNon-Ordinary State-Based Peridynamics(NOSB-PD)and Updated Lagrangian Particle Hydrodynamics(ULPH)to simulate the fluid-structure interaction problem with large geometric deformation and material failure and solve the fluid-structure interaction problem of Newtonian fluid. In the coupled framework, the NOSB-PD theory describes the deformation and fracture of the solid material structure.ULPH is applied to describe the flow of Newtonian fluids due to its advantages in computational accuracy. The framework utilizes the advantages of NOSB-PD theory for solving discontinuous problems and ULPH theory for solving fluid problems, with good computational stability and robustness.A fluidstructure coupling algorithm using pressure as the transmission medium is established to deal with the fluidstructure interface. The dynamic model of solid structure and the PD-ULPH fluid-structure interaction model involving large deformation are verified by numerical simulations. The results agree with the analytical solution, the available experimental data, and other numerical results. Thus, the accuracy and effectiveness of the proposed method in solving the fluid-structure interaction problem are demonstrated. The fluid-structure interactionmodel based on ULPH and NOSB-PD established in this paper provides a new idea for the numerical solution of fluidstructure interaction and a promising approach for engineering design and experimental prediction.

文摘A mathematical energy coupling model was developed to analyze the light transmission in the keyhole and energy distribution on the keyhole wall. The main characteristics of the model include:1) a prototype of the keyhole and the inverse Bremsstrahlung absorption coefficient in the keyhole plasma are obtained from the experiments;2) instead of using a parallel incident beam,a focused laser beam with real Gaussian intensity distribution is implemented;3) both Fresnel absorption and inverse Bremsstrahlung absorption during multiple reflections are considered. The calculation results show that the distribution of absorbed laser intensity by the keyhole wall is not uniform. The maximum laser energy is absorbed by the bottom of the keyhole, although no rays irradiate directly onto the bottom.According to analysis of beam focusing characteristics, the location of the focal plane plays a more important role in the laser energy absorption by the front wall than by the rear wall.

文摘The shape of strip is calculated by iterative method which combines strip plastic deformation model with rolls elastic deformation model through their calculation results, which can be called results coupling method. How- ever the calculation course of model coupling method is more steady than results coupling method, and its calculating speed is about ten times as much as the maximal speed of results coupling method, which validates its practicability and reliability.
文摘Fluid-structure interaction (FSI) is essentially a dynamic phenomenon and always exists in fluid-filled pipe system. The four-equation model, which has been proved to be effective to describe and predict the phenomenon of FSI due to friction coupling and Poisson coupling being taken into account, is utilized to describe the FSI of fluid-filled pipe system. Terse compatibility equations are educed by the method of characteristics (MOC) to describe the fluid-filled pipe system. To shorten computing time needed to get the solutions under the condition of keeping accuracy requirement, two steps are adopted, firstly the time step Δt and divided number of the straight pipe are optimized, sec-ondly the mesh spacing Δz close to boundary is subdivided in several submeshes automatically ac-cording to the speed gradient of fluid. The mathematical model and arithmetic are validated by com-parisons between simulation solutions of two straight pipe systems and experiment known from lit-erature.

文摘A new electrical method of conductive carbon-film(with waterproof and anticorrosion ability)was proposed to continuously measure crack propagation rate of brittle rock under THMC coupling condition.A self-designed coupling testing system was used to conduct THMC coupling fracture tests of the pre-cracked red sandstone specimens(where the temperature is only changed)by this new electrical method of conductive carbon-film.Calculation results obtained by the energy method coincide well with the test results. And the higher the temperature is,the earlier the crack is initiated and the larger the crack propagation rate and accelerated velocity are, which can prove the validity of the new electrical method. This new electrical method has advantages of continuously measuring crack propagation rate over the conventional electrical, optical and acoustic methods, and can provide important basis for safety assessment and cracking-arrest design of deep rock mass engineering.

文摘An adaptive finite element-element-free Galerkin (FE-EFG) coupling method is proposed and developed for the numerical simulation of bulk metal forming processes. This approach is able to adaptively convert distorted FE elements to EFG domain in analysis. A new scheme to implement adaptive conversion and coupling is presented. The coupling method takes both advantages of finite element method (FEM) and meshless methods. It is capable of handling large deformations with no need of remeshing procedures, while it is computationally more efficient than those full meshless methods. The effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated with the numerical simulations of the bulk metal forming processes including forging and extrusion.
