Feed efficiency(FE)is a crucial economic trait that significantly impacts profitability in intensive sheep production,and can be evaluated by the residual feed intake(RFI)and feed conversion ratio(FCR).However,the und...Feed efficiency(FE)is a crucial economic trait that significantly impacts profitability in intensive sheep production,and can be evaluated by the residual feed intake(RFI)and feed conversion ratio(FCR).However,the underlying genetic mechanisms that underlie FE-related traits in sheep are not fully understood.Herein,we measured the FE-related traits of 1,280 Hu sheep and conducted the phenotype statistics and correlation analysis,the result showcase that there was a large variation for FE-related traits,and RFI was significant positive correlation with average daily feed intake(ADFI)and FCR.Moreover,a genome-wide association study(GWAS)was conducted using whole-genome resequencing data to investigate the genetic associations of ADFI,FCR and RFI.For ADFI and FCR traits,2 and one single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs)exceeded the genome-wide significance threshold,whereas ten and 5 SNPs exceeded the suggestive significance threshold.For RFI traits,only 4 SNPs exceeded the suggestive significance threshold.Finally,a total of 8 genes(LOC101121953,LOC101110202,CTNNA3,IZUMO3,PPM1E,YIPF7,ZSCAN12and LOC105603808)were identified as potential candidate genes for FE-related traits.Simultaneously,we further analyzed the effects of 2 candidate SNPs associated with RFI on growth and FE traits in enlarged experimental population,the results demonstrated that these 2 SNPs was not significantly associated with growth traits(P>0.05),but significantly related to RFI traits(P<0.05).These findings will provide valuable reference data and key genetic variants that can be used to effectively select feed-efficient individual in sheep breeding programs.展开更多

The experiment was conducted at the animal experimental station of the Faculty of Animal Sciences,Royal University of Agriculture,commenced from 10 January to 14 March,2022.The CRD(Completely Randomized Design)was use...The experiment was conducted at the animal experimental station of the Faculty of Animal Sciences,Royal University of Agriculture,commenced from 10 January to 14 March,2022.The CRD(Completely Randomized Design)was used with 5 treatments and 4 replications.The 500 chicks at one-day-old,local bread,were purchased from farmers who run their small scale hatchery farm.The chicks were kept together till 21 days old,and then were allocated randomly into in five diets(treatments),25 chicks per replication.The feed formulas for this study were designed and calculated to maintain a protein content of approximately 17%,dividing into 5 feed formulas(Treatments),such as concentrated feed only(control treatment:T0),plus 10%of fresh sweet potato vine(T1),plus 20%of fresh sweet potato vine(T2),plus 30%of fresh sweet potato vine(T3)and plus 20%of sweet potato vine meal(T4).The results showed that the treatment T1,had a similar final weight with the treatment T4,but was slightly lower than the treatment T0 which used concentrated feed alone.Feed intake and FCR(Feed Conversion Ratio)were not significantly different among those treatments.In conclusion,the average daily weight gain of chickens seemed to decrease with increasing the level of fresh sweet potato vine.Thus,the optimum level of fresh sweet potato vine was 10%,which may have little effect on the growth performance of local chickens.In addition,it was not far different from the positive control treatment and the treatment using sweet potato vine meal.However,the producers can increase the amount of sweet potato vine in feed formula by processing it into meal and mixing with concentrated feed or using as feed ingredients.展开更多

The microstructure characteristics of 7075 aluminium alloy semisolid slurry at differe...A self-developed forced convection rheoforming (FCR) machine for the preparation of light alloy semisolid slurry was introduced. The microstructure characteristics of 7075 aluminium alloy semisolid slurry at different stirring speeds prepared by the FCR process were analyzed. The experimental results suggest that with the increase of the stirring speed, the mean grain size of the semisolid decreases and the shape factor as well as the number of primary grains increase. Meanwhile, the preparation process of semisolid slurry was numerically simulated. The flow characteristics of the melt in the device and the effect of the stirring speed on temperature field and solid fraction of the melt were investigated. The simulated results show that during the preparation process of semisolid slurry, there is a complex convection within the FCR device that obviously changes the temperature field distribution and solid fraction of the melt. When the convection intensity increases, the scope of the undercooling gradient of the melt is reduced and temperature distribution is improved.展开更多
目的探讨老年卵巢癌患者术后的复发恐惧(fear of cancer recurrence,FCR)现状及影响因素,为老年卵巢癌患者临床管理和心理干预提供参考。方法收集2018—2019年于新疆医科大学附属肿瘤医院接受卵巢癌手术治疗的老年患者临床资料,筛选出...目的探讨老年卵巢癌患者术后的复发恐惧(fear of cancer recurrence,FCR)现状及影响因素,为老年卵巢癌患者临床管理和心理干预提供参考。方法收集2018—2019年于新疆医科大学附属肿瘤医院接受卵巢癌手术治疗的老年患者临床资料,筛选出符合纳入、排出标准的60例患者作为研究对象。手术后一个月时,采用恐惧疾病进展简化量表(fear of progression questionnaire-short form,FoP-Q-SF)调查患者的FCR情况,使用社会支持评定量表(social support rating scale,SSRS)和健康素养管理量表(health literacy management scale,HeLMS)对患者的社会支持水平和癌症健康素养进行评价,并收集患者的临床资料,可能的影响因素,使用Pearson回归和多因素logistic回归寻找老年卵巢癌患者FCR的影响因素。结果60名老年卵巢癌患者的FoP-Q-SF均分为(35.18±6.89)分,有33例(55.00%)出现较为严重的FCR。Pearson回归显示,老年卵巢癌患者FoP-Q-SF得分与SSRS(r=-0.574,P<0.001)和HeLMS得分(r=-0.681,P<0.001)呈现负相关性。多因素logistic回归结果显示,年龄70~79岁(OR=0.671,95%CI:0.526~0.856)、年龄80岁以上(OR=0.543,95%CI:0.449~0.657)、高社会支持(OR=0.726,95%CI:0.627~0.841)、中等社会支持(OR=0.807,95%CI:0.670~0.973)、疾病健康素养Q2(OR=0.621,95%CI:0.532~0.725)、疾病健康素养Q3(OR=0.385,95%CI:0.315~0.470)等因素是老年卵巢癌患者高FCR水平的阻碍因素;而FIGO肿瘤Ⅱ期(OR=2.083,95%CI:1.618~2.683)、Ⅲ期(OR=3.077,95%CI:1.988~4.764)和Ⅳ期(OR=3.310,95%CI:2.189~5.006)等是高FCR水平的风险因素。结论新疆地区老年卵巢癌病人FCR处于较高水平且普遍存在,癌症健康素养和社会支持水平与FCR关系密切,临床医护人员可以从提高病人癌症健康素养、社会支持方面出发,降低患者FCR水平。展开更多
