Fault Type Analysis along the San Andreas Fault Zone: A Numerical Approach 被引量:1

Finite Element (FE) modeling under plane stress condition is used to analyze the fault type variation with depth along and around the San Andreas Fault (SAF) zone. In this simulation elastic rheology was used and was thought justifiable as the variation in depth from 0.5 km to 20 km was considered. Series of calculations were performed with the variation in domain properties. Three types of models were created based on simple geological map of California, namely, 1) single domain model considering whole California as one homogeneous domain, 2) three domains model including the North American plate, Pacific plate, and SAF zone as separate domains, and 3) Four domains model including the three above plus the Garlock Fault zone. Mohr-Coulomb failure criterion and Byerlee's law were used for the calculation of failure state. All the models were driven by displacement boundary condition imposing the fixed North American plate and Pacific plate motion along N34°W vector up to the northern terminus of SAF and N50°E vector motion for the subducting the Gorda and Juan de Fuca plates. Our simulated results revealed that as the depth increased, the fault types were generally normal, and at shallow depth greater strike slip and some thrust faults were formed. It is concluded that SAF may be terminated as normal fault at depth although the surface expression is clearly strike slip. 展开更多

This paper reviews diverse types of faults that might appear in the SGS and gives a survey about the impact of renewable energy resources (RERs) on the behavior of the system. Moreover, this paper offers different fault detection and localization techniques that can be used for SGSs. Furthermore, a potential fault management case study is proposed in this paper. The SGS model in this paper is investigated using both of the Matlab/Simulink and the Real Time Digital Simulation (RTDS) to compute the fault management study. This paper proposes a novel controllable crowbar based on fault type(CBFT)protection technique for doubly fed induction generator(DFIG)wind energy conversion system connected to grid.The studied system consists of six DFIG wind turbines with a capacity of 1.5 MW for each of them.The operation mechanism of proposed technique is used to connect a set of crowbar resistors in different connection ways via activation of controllable circuit breakers(CBs)depending on the detected fault type.For each phase of DFIG,a crowbar resistor is connected in parallel with a controllable CB and all of them are connected in series to grid terminals.The adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system(ANFIS)networks are designed to detect the fault occurrence,classify the fault type,activate the CBs for crowbar resistors associated with faulted phases during fault period,and deactivate them after fault clearance.The effectiveness of proposed CBFT protection technique is investigated for different fault types such as symmetrical and unsymmetrical faults taking into account the single-phase to ground fault is the most frequently fault type that occurs in power systems.Also,a comparison between the behaviours of studied system in cases of using traditional parallel rotor crowbar,classical outer crowbar,and proposed CBFT protection techniques is studied.The fluctuations of DC-link voltage,active power,and reactive power for studied system equipped with different protection techniques are investigated.Moreover,the impacts of different crowbar resistance values on the accuracy of proposed technique are studied.The simulation results show that,the proposed technique enhances the stability of studied wind turbine generators and contributes in protection of their components during faults. 展开更多

In displacement-based seismic design, inelastic displacement ratio spectra (IDRS) are particularly useful for estimating the maximum lateral inelastic displacement demand of a nonlinear SDOF system from the maximum elastic displacement demand of its counterpart linear elastic SDOF system. In this study, the characteristics of IDRS for near-fault pulse-type ground motions are investigated based on a great number of earthquake ground motions. The influence of site conditions, ratio of peak ground velocity (PGV) to peak ground acceleration (PGA), the PGV, and the maximum incremental velocity (MIV) on IDRS are also evaluated. The results indicate that the effect of near-fault ground motions on IDRS are significant only at periods between 0.2 s - 1.5 s, where the amplification can approach 20%. The PGV/PGA ratio has the most significant influence on IDRS among the parameters considered. It is also found that site conditions only slightly affect the IDRS. 展开更多

Continental Dynamics in High Tibetan Plateau: Normal Faulting Type Earthquake Activities and Mechanisms

Various earthquake fault types were analyzed for this study on the crust movement in the high region of the Tibetan plateau by analyzing mechanism solutions and stress fields. The results show that a lot of normal faulting type earthquakes are concentrated in the central High Tibetan plateau. Many of them are nearly perfect normal fault events. The strikes of the fault planes of normal faulting earthquakes are almost in an N-S direction based on the analyses of the Wulff stereonet diagrams of fault plane solutions. It implies that the dislocation slip vectors of the normal faulting type events have quite great components in the E-W direction. The extensions probably are an eastward extensional mo- tion, being mainly a tectonic active regime in the plateau altitudes. The tensional stress in the E-W or NWW-SEE direction predominates earthquake occurrences in the normal event region of the central plateau. The eastward extensional motion in the high Tibetan plateau is attributable to the gravitational collapse of the high plateau and the eastward extrusion of hotter mantle materials beneath the east boundary of the plateau. Extensional motions from the relaxation of the topography and/or gravitational collapse in the high plateau hardly occurred along the N-S direction. The obstruction for the plateau to move eastward is rather weak. 展开更多

In this paper, an adaptive type-2 fuzzy sliding mode control to tolerate actuator faults of unknown nonlinear systems with external disturbances is presented. Based on a redundant actuation structure, a novel type-2 adaptive fuzzy fault tolerant control scheme is proposed using sliding mode control. Two adaptive type-2 fuzzy logic systems are used to approximate the unknown functions, whose adaptation laws are deduced from the stability analysis. The proposed approach allows to ensure good tracking performance despite the presence of actuator failures and external disturbances, as illustrated through a simulation example. 展开更多

In order to solve the problems of rotor overvoltage,overcurrent and DC side voltage rise caused by grid voltage drops,a coordinated control strategy based on symmetrical and asymmetrical low voltage ride through of rotor side converter of the doubly-fed generator is proposed.When the power grid voltage drops symmetrically,the generator approximate equation under steady-state conditions is no longer applicable.Considering the dynamic process of stator current excitation,according to the change of stator flux and the depth of voltage drop,the system can dynamically provide reactive power support for parallel nodes and suppress the rise of DC side voltage and rotor over-current.When the grid voltage drops asymmetrically,the positive and negative sequence components are separated in the rotating coordinate system.The doubly fed generator model is established to suppress the rotor positive sequence current and negative sequence current respectively.At the same time,the output voltage limit of the converter is discussed,and the reference value is adjusted within the allowable output voltage range.In order to adapt to the occurrence of different types of power grid faults and complex operating conditions,a fast switching module of fault type detection and rotor control mode is designed to detect the type of power grid faults and voltage drop depth in real time and switch the rotor side control mode dynamically.Finally,the simulation model of the doubly fed wind turbine is constructed in Matlab/Simulink.The simulation results verify that the proposed control strategy can improve the low-voltage ride through performance of the system when dealing with the symmetrical and asymmetric voltage drop of the power grid and identify the power grid fault type and provide the correct control strategy. 展开更多

目的 研究不同类型裂纹故障对双齿圈人字行星齿轮传动系统接触力特性和均载性能的影响规律。方法 基于SolidWorks和ADAMS进行故障联合仿真研究,分别建立健康状态和行星轮上具有贯穿型、非贯穿型和端面贯穿型3种不同裂纹故障的双齿圈人... 目的 研究不同类型裂纹故障对双齿圈人字行星齿轮传动系统接触力特性和均载性能的影响规律。方法 基于SolidWorks和ADAMS进行故障联合仿真研究,分别建立健康状态和行星轮上具有贯穿型、非贯穿型和端面贯穿型3种不同裂纹故障的双齿圈人字行星齿轮传动系统精确虚拟样机模型,采用GSTIFF积分法求解健康和不同典型裂纹故障状态下的轮齿接触力,计算系统均载系数,分析内、外啮合副在时频域上的接触力特性和系统均载特性的变化规律。结果 结果表明,健康状态下各齿轮副的接触力呈稳定的周期性变化,仿真基频与啮合频率数值相差仅1%;系统内、外啮合副均载系数为1.006和1.007,啮合传动表现出良好的均载性能。存在裂纹故障时,贯穿型裂纹深度扩展到30 mm时,内、外啮合副均载系数增大6.2%和9.2%;贯穿型裂纹角度扩展到60°时,内、外啮合副均载系数增大6.6%和7.8%;非贯穿型裂纹有效长度扩展到120 mm时,内、外啮合副均载系数增大4.3%和4.1%;端面贯穿型裂纹有效宽度扩展到150 mm时,内、外啮合副均载系数增大10.8%和11.4%。结论 随着裂纹故障程度加深,均载系数逐渐增大,即均载性能逐渐变差。系统外啮合均载性能受到的影响比内啮合更大,行星轮存在端面贯穿型裂纹故障对系统的均载性能影响显著大于贯穿型和非贯穿型裂纹。 展开更多

This paper presents a methodology for constructing seismic design spectra in near-fault regions. By analyzing the characteristics of near-fault pulse-type ground motions, an equivalent pulse model is proposed, which can well represent the characteristics of the near-fault forward-directivity and fling-step pulse-type ground motions. The normalized horizontal seismic design spectra for near-fault regions are presented using recorded near-fault pulse-type ground motions and equivalent pulse-type ground motions, which are derived based on the equivalent pulse model coupled with ground motion parameter attenuation relations. The normalized vertical seismic design spectra for near-fault regions are obtained by scaling the corresponding horizontal spectra with the vertical-to-horizontal acceleration spectral ratios of near-fault pulse-type ground motions. The proposed seismic design spectra appear to have relatively small dispersion in a statistical sense. The seismic design spectra for both horizontal and vertical directions can provide alternative spectral shapes for seismic design codes. 展开更多

Terrestrial faulted lacustrine basin is considered as a favorable place for the development of source rocks,especially the fault basins in eastern China.Based on molecular composition study of saturated and aromatic hydrocarbons in the extracts of source rocks of the Yingcheng and Shahezi formations in the Lishu Fault Depression,it is revealed that the extracts of source rocks are provided with low ratio of Pr/Ph,low content of C24 tetracyclic terpanes,high content of tricyclic terpanes and gammacerane,relatively high content of C27 steranes in the sag belt and its periphery;relatively high ratio of Pr/Ph,relatively high content of tetracyclic terpanes and gammacerane,low content of C27 steranes and obvious advantages of C29 steranes in its gentle slope belt;with high ratio of Pr/Ph,high content of C19,C20 tricyclic and C24 tetracyclic terpanes,very low content of gammacerane and C27 steranes,and high content of C29 steranes in the edge of fault depression.According to the organic matter input and sedimentary environment,three types of source rocks have been established,which,respectively,are the mode of mixing organic matter input in deep and semi-deep lake,the advantage of terrigenous input in shallow lake and terrigenous input in shore-shallow lacustrine.The first mode is supposed to generate oil and gas,while the second one tends to generate oil.The distribution characteristics of oil and gas in the Lishu Fault Depression are very likely to be controlled by hydrocarbon generating characteristic of different source rock types. 展开更多

为保障铁路机车用变压器正常运行,提出一种铁路机车用变压器牵引故障识别与保护方法。首先,通过启动元件对故障区域进行识别,并依据故障趋势辨识结果建立变压器故障的判断依据,以精准识别故障类型。接着,基于已确定的变压器故障类型,设... 为保障铁路机车用变压器正常运行,提出一种铁路机车用变压器牵引故障识别与保护方法。首先,通过启动元件对故障区域进行识别,并依据故障趋势辨识结果建立变压器故障的判断依据,以精准识别故障类型。接着,基于已确定的变压器故障类型,设计专门的变压器故障识别与保护装置。在确定变压器不同保护段的整定值后启动保护元件,确定对应的保护距离段,并启动保护装置,以实现对变压器牵引故障的精准识别与保护。然后,在完成初步保护后,根据差动保护原理进一步确定保护装置差动保护动作的区间,并建立相应的保护动作逻辑,以对变压器实施二次保护,从而提升牵引变压器故障的整体识别与保护效果。在试验过程中,应用该方法进行变压器故障识别与保护时,成功地将电流和电压的波动幅度异常范围控制在了1.2%以内。该方法在实际应用中展现出良好的保护效果,能够有效地限制故障引起的电流和电压波动,确保变压器及整个电力系统的稳定运行。 展开更多

超高压输电线路架线位置高、架设回数多及输送距离远,其运行中容易受到雷电袭扰,从而威胁系统稳定性和可靠性,不同雷击类型会对线路不同部位产生损伤。针对雷击类型的准确识别问题,提出一种超高压线路雷击类型识别方法。以500 kV同塔双... 超高压输电线路架线位置高、架设回数多及输送距离远,其运行中容易受到雷电袭扰,从而威胁系统稳定性和可靠性,不同雷击类型会对线路不同部位产生损伤。针对雷击类型的准确识别问题,提出一种超高压线路雷击类型识别方法。以500 kV同塔双回路鼓型杆塔为例,在ATP-EMTP平台中建立了考虑多因素的仿真模型,分析不同故障工况下雷电绕击、反击的特征,以雷击线路后故障信号通过杆塔入地的暂态信号作为研究对象,提出一种基于改进希尔伯特黄变换的雷击类型识别方法,利用故障信号的固有模态函数(IMF)在方差贡献率的不同分布趋势构造判据。通过不同参数验证分布规律的稳定性,发现分布趋势基本不受雷电流幅值大小及接地电阻的影响,且具有稳定清晰的界限,可准确识别雷电故障类型。对及时发现线路绝缘薄弱点以及制定更有针对性的防雷措施都具有十分重要的意义。 展开更多

Seismic fault rupture can extend to the surface,and the resulting surface deformation can cause severe damage to civil engineering structures crossing the fault zones.Coseismic Surface Rupture Prediction Models(CSRPMs)play a crucial role in the structural design of fault-crossing engineering and in the hazard analysis of fault-intensive areas.In this study,a new global coseismic surface rupture database was constructed by compiling 171 earthquake events(Mw:5.5-7.9)that caused surface rupture.In contrast to the fault classification in traditional empirical relationships,this study categorizes earthquake events as strike-slip,dip-slip,and oblique-slip.CSRPMs utilizing Bayesian ridge regression(BRR)were developed to estimate parameters such as surface rupture length,average displacement,and maximum displacement.Based on Bayesian theory,BRR combines the benefits of both ridge regression and Bayesian linear regression.This approach effectively addresses the issue of overfitting while ensuring the strong model robustness.The reliability of the CSRPMs was validated by residual analysis and comparison with post-earthquake observations from the 2023 Türkiye earthquake doublet.The BRR-CSRPMs with new fault classification criteria are more suitable for the probabilistic hazard analysis of complex fault systems and dislocation design of fault-crossing engineering. 展开更多

辐向永磁电机的齿槽转矩会增大电机的转矩脉动,从而影响辐向永磁容错伺服电机的可靠运行和整个控制系统的控制精度。为了减小电机的齿槽转矩,提高电机的控制精度,首先,基于能量法分析齿槽转矩与槽极组合之间的关系以及齿槽转矩产生的原... 辐向永磁电机的齿槽转矩会增大电机的转矩脉动,从而影响辐向永磁容错伺服电机的可靠运行和整个控制系统的控制精度。为了减小电机的齿槽转矩,提高电机的控制精度,首先,基于能量法分析齿槽转矩与槽极组合之间的关系以及齿槽转矩产生的原理,进而讨论定子开辅助槽、转子开辅助槽两种方法对永磁电机齿槽转矩的影响。结果表明,在倒“T”形辐向永磁体两端增加不规则辅助槽有助于将齿槽转矩降至最低。主要原因是增加辅助槽可以改变转子磁通路径的方向,根据磁通路径可以选择合适的辅助槽。此外,它还能增大气隙磁密的基波幅值,减小其谐波分量,从而改善电机性能,所提电机的齿槽转矩为4.1 mN·m、转矩脉动为0.16%。齿槽转矩和转矩脉动达到了最优,满足伺服电机精度高和稳定性要求。最后,制造并测试转子上带有不规则辅助槽的24槽/22极样机,相应的试验验证了所提方法的有效性。 展开更多

塔里木盆地超深层碳酸盐岩储层研究新进展

塔里木盆地勘探以典型喀斯特岩溶缝洞型和主干走滑断裂断控缝洞型储层为特色,形成了以塔河-轮南为代表的岩溶型、以顺北-富满为代表的构造型2个典型优势成储条件下油气勘探经典案例,但随着油气勘探向超深层甚至万米特深层进军,非典型优... 塔里木盆地勘探以典型喀斯特岩溶缝洞型和主干走滑断裂断控缝洞型储层为特色,形成了以塔河-轮南为代表的岩溶型、以顺北-富满为代表的构造型2个典型优势成储条件下油气勘探经典案例,但随着油气勘探向超深层甚至万米特深层进军,非典型优势成储条件下是否能发育规模储集体,是制约后续勘探决策与实现突破的关键问题。为此,通过系统分析盆地近10多年来在岩溶型、断控型、相控型勘探新进展与典型案例,探讨了非典型优势成储条件下不同成储要素的表现形式与成储机制,丰富和完善了超深层-万米特深层海相碳酸盐岩储层成因机理认识。研究结果表明:①完善了盆内中小尺度走滑断裂与逆冲断裂控储作用认识,建立了多序级走滑断裂带储集体栅状结构模型,指出了逆冲断裂带控储作用受断裂平面分带、垂向分层与岩溶作用差异共同控制;②深化了盆地岩溶复杂区储层形成、改造与保存动态过程研究,剖析了以于奇西为代表的复杂岩溶区4种古地貌组合单元(岩溶平原、浅峰丛洼地、深峰丛洼地和溶丘洼地)缝洞体发育特征及差异,指出了浅峰丛洼地区为规模缝洞储层保存最有利区;③与内幕不整合相关的岩溶储层正在成为盆地重要的勘探类型,揭示了上震旦统—中下奥陶统碳酸盐岩内幕多期次、不同级别不整合面及暴露溶蚀作用,在中下寒武统台缘带及台内不整合面附近发育较好储集体深度已突破万米。结论认为:①首次在盆地发现石灰岩孔隙型储层,突破了以往石灰岩基质物性较差的传统认识,进一步开拓了新的油气储层勘探新类型;②指出了盆地碳酸盐岩储层形成受走滑-逆冲及复合断裂活动、有利沉积环境与相带、多类型岩溶作用的协同控制,提出了断-相-溶“多元复合”联控规模成储新模式并在顺北隆2井油气勘探实践中得以证实,上述模式及成功实践为中国超深-万米特深层海相碳酸盐岩油气勘探提供新的借鉴。 展开更多

近断层脉冲型地震动较远场地震动对桥梁产生更为严重的地震破坏,研究恢复力模型为双折线的减隔震支座和桥梁地震响应的匹配关系,可有效提高临近断层高铁桥梁的抗震性能。以某32 m跨径高铁双线简支梁桥为研究对象,采用OpenSees建立五墩... 近断层脉冲型地震动较远场地震动对桥梁产生更为严重的地震破坏,研究恢复力模型为双折线的减隔震支座和桥梁地震响应的匹配关系,可有效提高临近断层高铁桥梁的抗震性能。以某32 m跨径高铁双线简支梁桥为研究对象,采用OpenSees建立五墩四跨有限元模型,研究在破裂前方向脉冲、滑冲脉冲以及远场地震动作用下,减隔震支座屈服强度F_(y)、初始刚度与桥墩刚度的比值λ,以及屈服后刚度与初始刚度的比值η的变化对支座位移、支座残余位移、墩底弯矩和支座耗能等抗震指标的影响;探究不同类型地震动作用下结构随减隔震支座参数变化的响应规律,并确定近断层地区高铁简支梁桥减隔震支座参数的合理取值范围。结果表明:在不同类型速度脉冲作用下,结构响应随减隔震支座参数变化的规律基本一致,且滑冲脉冲地震动造成的响应大于破裂前方向脉冲地震动;增大F_(y)可以显著减小支座最大位移,但会导致支座残余位移和墩底弯矩增大;增大λ可以减小支座最大位移并且增大墩底弯矩和支座耗能;增大η可以显著减小支座残余位移。针对研究的具体桥梁,当减隔震支座F_(y)取330~370 kN、λ取0.1-0.15、η取0.08~0.12时有较好的减震效果。 展开更多
