As an advanced 4^(th) generation synchrotron radiation facility,the Shenzhen Innovation Light-source Facility(SILF)storage ring is based on multi-bend achromat(MBA)lattices,enabling one to two orders of magnitude reduction in beam emittance compared to the 3^(rd) generation storage ring.This significantly enhance the radiation brightness and coherence.The multipole magnets of many types for SILF storage ring are under preliminary design,which require high integral field homogeneity.As a result,a dedicated pole tip optimization procedure with high efficiency is developed for quadrupole and sextupole magnets with Opera-2D^(■)python script.The procedure considers also the 3D field effect which makes the optimization more straightforward.In this paper,the design of the quadrupole and sextupole magnets for SILF storage ring is first presented,followed by a detailed description of the implemented pole shape optimization method. 展开更多

We investigated the psychological effects of nail treatments on children living in child welfare facilities.We performed a single nail treatment on children living in child welfare facilities.As a result,we found that feelings of“energy”,“relaxation”,and“comfort”tended to increase more strongly after the treatment than before.Furthermore,these feelings increased even more after the nail treatment.The effects of nail treatments were unrelated to gender or previous nail experience.Furthermore,nail treatments increased communication and interaction with facility staff and other children residing in the facility,promoting self-expression,and,as a result,increasing a sense of accomplishment,acceptance from others,and self-esteem.This suggests that positive emotions persisted even after nail treatments,leading to positive changes in daily life. 展开更多

This paper proposes an automated detection framework for transmission facilities using a featureattention multi-scale robustness network(FAMSR-Net)with high-fidelity virtual images.The proposed framework exhibits three key characteristics.First,virtual images of the transmission facilities generated using StyleGAN2-ADA are co-trained with real images.This enables the neural network to learn various features of transmission facilities to improve the detection performance.Second,the convolutional block attention module is deployed in FAMSR-Net to effectively extract features from images and construct multi-dimensional feature maps,enabling the neural network to perform precise object detection in various environments.Third,an effective bounding box optimization method called Scylla-IoU is deployed on FAMSR-Net,considering the intersection over union,center point distance,angle,and shape of the bounding box.This enables the detection of power facilities of various sizes accurately.Extensive experiments demonstrated that FAMSRNet outperforms other neural networks in detecting power facilities.FAMSR-Net also achieved the highest detection accuracy when virtual images of the transmission facilities were co-trained in the training phase.The proposed framework is effective for the scheduled operation and maintenance of transmission facilities because an optical camera is currently the most promising tool for unmanned aerial vehicles.This ultimately contributes to improved inspection efficiency,reduced maintenance risks,and more reliable power delivery across extensive transmission facilities. 展开更多

Feedforward compensation-based L1 adaptive control for aeropropulsion system test facility and hardware-in-the-loop verification

Aeropropulsion System Test Facility (ASTF) is required to accurately control the pressure and temperature of the airflow to test the performance of the aero-engine. However, the control accuracy of ASTF is significantly affected by the flow disturbance caused by aero-engine acceleration and deceleration. This would reduce the credibility of ASTF’s test results for the aero-engine. Therefore, first, this paper proposes a feedforward compensation-based L1 adaptive control method for ASTF to address this problem. The baseline controller is first designed based on ideal uncoupled closed-loop dynamics to achieve dynamic decoupling. Then, L1 adaptive control is adopted to deal with various uncertainties and ensure good control performance. To further enhance the anti-disturbance performance, a feedforward strategy based on disturbance prediction is designed in the L1 adaptive control framework to compensate for the unmatched flow disturbance, which cannot be measured directly. In addition, this strategy takes into account the effects of actuator dynamics. With this method, the feedforward term can be determined from the nominal model parameters despite uncertainties. Finally, to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method, various comparative experiments are performed on a hardware-in-the-loop system of ASTF. The experimental results show that the proposed method possesses excellent tracking performance, anti-disturbance performance and robustness. 展开更多

The Cooling Storage Ring of the Heavy Ion Research Facility in Lanzhou(HIRFL-CSR)was constructed to study nuclear physics,atomic physics,interdisciplinary science,and related applications.The External Target Facility(ETF)is located in the main ring of the HIRFL-CSR.The gamma detector of the ETF is built to measure emitted gamma rays with energies below 5 MeV in the center-of-mass frame and is planned to measure light fragments with energies up to 300 MeV.The readout electronics for the gamma detector were designed and commissioned.The readout electronics consist of thirty-two front-end cards,thirty-two readout control units(RCUs),one common readout unit,one synchronization&clock unit,and one sub-trigger unit.By using the real-time peak-detection algorithm implemented in the RCU,the data volume can be significantly reduced.In addition,trigger logic selection algorithms are implemented to improve the selection of useful events and reduce the data size.The test results show that the integral nonlinearity of the readout electronics is less than 1%,and the energy resolution for measuring the 60 Co source is better than 5.5%.This study discusses the design and performance of the readout electronics. 展开更多

The first experiments on laser-driven cylindrical gold foam hohlraums have been performed at the 100 kJ SG-Ⅲ laser facility.Measurements of the expanding plasma emission show that there is less expanding plasma fill in foam hohlraums with a wall density of 0.8 g/cm^(3) than in solid gold hohlraums.The radiation temperatures at different angles confirm these results.Simulation results show that the expanding plasma density in the foam hohlraums is lower than in the solid hohlraums,resulting in less expanding plasma emission and higher radiation temperature.Thus,foam gold hohlraums have advantages in reducing wall plasma filling and improving X-ray transmission,which has potential applications in achieving a higher fusion yield. 展开更多

Industrial coking facilities are an important emission source for volatile organic compounds(VOCs).This study analyzed the atmospheric VOC characteristics within an industrial coking facility and its surrounding environment.Average concentrations of total VOCs(TVOCs)in the surrounding residential activity areas(R1 and R2),the coking facility(CF)and the control area(CA)were determined to be 138.5,47.8,550.0,and 15.0μg/m^(3),respectively.The cold drum process and coking and quenching areas within the coking facility were identified as the main polluting processes.The spatial variation in VOCs composition was analyzed,showing that VOCs in the coking facility and surrounding areas were mainly dominated by aromatic compounds such as BTX(benzene,toluene,and xylenes)and naphthalene,with concentrations being negatively correlated with the distance from the coking facility(p<0.01).The sources of VOCs in different functional areas across the monitoring area were analyzed,finding that coking emissions accounted for 73.5%,33.3% and 27.7% of TVOCs in CF,R1 and R2,respectively.These results demonstrated that coking emissions had a significant impact on VOC concentrations in the areas surrounding coking facility.This study evaluates the spatial variation in exposure to VOCs,providing important information for the influence of VOCs concentration posed by coking facility to surrounding residents and the development of strategies for VOC abatement. 展开更多

As a crucial economic crop in Guangxi region,chili pepper is facing increasingly severe challenges of continuous cropping obstacles.In this paper,the causes of continuous cropping obstacles in chili pepper soil are deeply analyzed,covering multiple dimensions such as the dynamic changes in soil physicochemical properties,the imbalance of soil microbial community structure,and the gradual accumulation of soil borne diseases and pests.Subsequently,a set of comprehensive prevention and control strategy is proposed:soil improvement through the application of organic fertilizers,biological fertilizers,and soil conditioners;implementing agricultural strategies of crop rotation and intercropping,flexibly adjusting planting density and methods,to optimize crop layout and improve planting management measures;actively introducing natural enemies for biological control,while promoting the use of biopesticides and microbial preparations for biological control.In response to the actual situation of continuous cropping obstacles in chili pepper soil of Guangxi,it is suggested that innovative soil improvement technologies,improved planting management measures,and promotion of biological control methods should also be considered. 展开更多

Incorporating Big Data of Public Service Facilities into Flood-seismic Exposure Assessment in China

Public service facilities are fundamental to our society,and their disruption could amplify losses and cause cascading effects during natural disasters.However,there is little knowledge about the exposure of public service facilities to natural disasters,and even less under the scenarios of multiple hazards.This study integrated big data of public service facilities into a multi-hazard exposure as-sessment of floods and earthquakes of China in 2021.Results show that public service facilities in China are disproportionally exposed to floods and earthquakes.Flood and seismic exposure reach 50.36%and 10.69%,which are 4.14 times and 1.05 times of the shares of the two hazard zones;in the overlapping zone 4.76%of the facilities are concentrated,5.17 times of the overlapping zone’s share.Par-ticularly,exposure of public service facilities is relatively high in Northwest China,where both the protection standards for floods and earthquakes are relatively weak.Furthermore,financial facilities contribute the most to flood exposure,while scientific and educational facilities contribute most to the overlapping exposure.We further propose location-specific optimization measures for different types of public service facilities.Our findings shed light on a comprehensive understanding and proper risk management of multi-hazard expos-ure of public service facilities.The incorporation of big data into multi-hazard exposure analysis of public service facilities can be exten-ded to various regions,thereby offering a valuable tool for informed management of natural disaster risk. 展开更多

Facile synthesis of all-carbon fluorinated backbone polymers containing sulfide linkage as proton exchange membranes for fuel cells

Aryl-ether bonds are facile to attack by oxidizing radicals,thus stimulating the exploitation of ether-free polymers as proton exchange membranes(PEMs)for the long-lasting operation of fuel cells.In this study,a novel class of PEMs derived from all-carbon fluorinated backbone polymers containing sulfide-linked alkyl sulfonic acid side chains have been developed through a straightforward and effective synthetic procedure.The sulfide-linked alkyl sulfonate groups were tethered to the poly(triphenylene pentafluorophenyl)backbone through a quantified and site-specific para-fluoro-thiol click reaction.Owing to the existence of obvious phase separation morphology between hydrophobic main chain and hydrophilic sulfonate groups in the side chains,resulting PEMs demonstrated favorable proton conductivity of 142.5m S/cm at 80℃,while maintaining excellent dimensional stability with an in-plane swelling ratio of<17%as well as a through-plane swelling ratio of<25%.They also exhibit elevated thermal decomposition temperatures(Td5%exceeding 300℃)alongside high tensile strength(>50 MPa).Furthermore,the ether-free full-carbon fluorinated main chain and the-S-group in the side chain,which serves as an effective freeradical scavenger,providing good chemical stability during Fenton’s test.The PEMs achieved a maximum power density of 407 m W/cm^(2)in a single H^(2)/air fuel cell,and an open-circuit voltage decline rate of 0.275 m V/h in a durability test at 30%RH and 80℃.Concurrently,the hydrogen crossover current density is only 1/3 of that of Nafion 212.These findings reveal that the resulted PEMs display considerable antioxidative properties along with commendable performance,with prospective applications in proton exchange membrane fuel cells. 展开更多

Objectives:We systematically reviewed the rational use of medicines using the World Health Organization/International Network of Rational Use of Drugs(WHO/INRUD)core drug use indicators.We also assessed the impact of the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic and the National Drug Policy(NDP)2005 on the rational use of medicines.Methods:Searches were conducted in PubMed,Scopus,and Google Scholar databases to identify studies that met our eligibility criteria.Assessment of the quality of studies was conducted using the Joanna Briggs Institute criteria for analytical studies.We reported and compared the median values of WHO/INRUD core drug use indicators with standard thresholds.Data were presented with median,interquartile range(IQR),and percentages.MannWhitney and Kruskal-Wallis tests were conducted to assess for statistical significance(P<0.05)across variables.Results:Thirty-one studies were included in the review,comprising 50,931 patient encounters across 268 health facilities.Within prescribing indicators,average number of medicines per patient encountered[3.4(IQR:3.0to 4.0)],percentage of medicines prescribed by generic[50.4%(IQR:47.4%to 65.0%)],percentage of encounters with antibiotic prescribed[40.2%(IQR:30.5%to 52.7%)],percentage of encounters with injection prescribed[18%(IQR:3.2%to 30.0%)]and the percentage of medicines prescribed from essential medicines list[82.0%(IQR:66.4%to 89.3%)].The median percentage of encounters with antibiotics(P=0.04)and the median percentage of medicines prescribed by generics(P=0.03)increased during and after the COVID-19 pandemic.Prescribing indicators were worse in primary and secondary health facilities,with significant differences in the median percentage of encounters with antibiotics(P=0.007)and injections(P=0.0002)across primary,secondary,and tertiary health facilities.There were improvements across all prescribing indicators after the implementation of NDP 2005.Conclusions:Core drug use indicators in Nigerian health facilities deviated from the WHO/INRUD thresholds,with noticeable improvement after the implementation of NDP 2005.More efforts are needed to improve rational drug use in Nigerian hospitals. 展开更多

Based on the written survey of 597 agricultural machinery service organizations in Guizhou Province, the demand and demand gap of various facilities land use in agricultural machinery service organizations were analyzed and compared. In addition, based on the field survey and policy background, the main practices and experiences of agricultural machinery service organizations in Guizhou Province in the approval and use of facility land were sorted out, and the problems and causes of large gap in facility agricultural land, lack of standards and difficulty in policy implementation were analyzed. Finally, it recommended that the site selection of agricultural machinery service organization facilities needs to be standardized, the land demand needs to be coordinated, the land scale needs to be scientifically demonstrated, and financial support should be sought to promote Guizhou agricultural machinery service organization to become bigger, better and stronger. 展开更多

In response to the capabilities presented by the High-Intensity Heavy Ion Accelerator Facility(HIAF) and the Accelerator-Driven Subcritical System(Ci ADS), as well as the proposed Chinese Advanced Nuclear Physics Research Facility(CNUF), we are assembling a consortium of experts in relevant disciplines, both domestically and internationally,to delineate high-precision physics experiments that leverage the state-of-the-art research environment afforded by CNUF.Our focus encompasses six primary domains of inquiry: hadron physics—including endeavors such as the super eta factory and investigations into light hadron structures;muon physics;neutrino physics;neutron physics;the testing of fundamental symmetries;and the exploration of quantum effects within nuclear physics, along with the utilization of vortex accelerators.We aim to foster a well-rounded portfolio of large, medium, and small-scale projects, thus unlocking new scientific avenues and optimizing the potential of the Huizhou large scientific facility. The aspiration for international leadership in scientific research will be a guiding principle in our strategic planning. This initiative will serve as a foundational reference for the Institute of Modern Physics in its strategic planning and goal-setting, ensuring alignment with its developmental objectives while striving to secure a competitive edge in technological advancement. Our ambition is to engage in substantive research within these realms of high-precision physics, to pursue groundbreaking discoveries, and to stimulate progress in China's nuclear physics landscape, positioning Huizhou as a preeminent global hub for advanced nuclear physics research. 展开更多

[Objective] The aim was to establish a set of soilless cultivation and management method of facility strawberry cultivation in the south of China.[Method] In the research,strawberry species,substrate formulae,cultivation modes and nutri ent solutions were selected and optimized.[Result] Three-dimensional strawberry cultivation was much suitable for Frandy,Hongbao and Gumei No.1; substrate with coconut shred-mushroom residue-peat soil ratio at 2∶2∶1 was the optimal; the treatment C3,containing Ca(NO3)2·4H2O,KNO3,(NH4)2HPO4,MgSO4·7H2O,and NH4NO3 at 280,303,62,246 and 80 mg/L,promoted strawberry growth,and the cultivated strawberry was large and thick in leaves,thick in stem,dark green in leaf color,with best fruit yield and quality.Among three cultivation modes,the density,space use ratio and yield in the treatment with PVC pipes in A-shape were all higher and the strawberry was easier and more convenient for picking.[Conclusion] The research provides references for soilless cultivation of strawberry in the south of China. 展开更多

First a remanufactming logistics network is con- structed, in which the structure of both the forward logistics and the reverse logistics are of two levels and all the logistics facilities are capacitated. Both the remanufactming products and the new products can be used to meet the demands of customers. Moreover, it is assumed that homogeneous facilities can be designed together into integrated ones, based on which a mixed integer nonlinear programming (MINLP) facility location model of the remanufacturing logistics network with six types of facilities to be sited is built. Then an algorithm based on enumeration for the model is given. The feasible combinations of binary variables are searched by enumeration, and the remaining sub-problems are solved by the LP solver. Finally, the validities of the model and the algorithm are illustrated by means of an example. The result of the sensitivity analysis of parameters indicates that the integration of homogeneous facilities may influence the optimal solution of the problem to a certain degree. 展开更多

Micro-turbine engine has no enough space for measuring impeller characteristics,so the design and the construction of a new test facility of micro-turbo-machinery are presented for micro-centrifugal compressors and radial turbines.The facility is used for the full speed compressor test and the long duration hot turbine test.To rapidly adjust the testing condition,all regulations of the operating state are automatically completed by the control system.The facility is also used for testing the impeller performance with a series of diameter from 55 mm to 180 mm as a result of the modular design.A thermal protection system is designed to avoid the heat distortion caused by the high turbine inlet temperature over 1 100 K and provide a proper experimental environment for the electronic components.A photoelectric torque transducer with the accuracy of 1% is designed to measure the torque of rigid shaft at a high speed of 125 000 r/min.The designing techniques for micro-turbo-machineries are verified by the impeller testing of the facility. 展开更多

To smooth the correlation process from bio-virus diffusion to emergency relief response,the Gaussian plume model is used to describe the diffusion of dangerous sources,where the bio-virus concentration at any given point in affected areas can be calculated.And the toxic load rule is introduced to define the borderline of the dangerous area at different levels.Combined with this,different emergency levels of different demand points in dangerous areas are confirmed using fuzzy clustering,which allows demand points at the same emergency level to cluster in a group.Some effective emergency relief centers are chosen from the candidate hospitals which are located in different emergency level affected areas by set covering.Bioterrorism experiments which were conducted in Nanjing,Jiangsu province are simulated,and the results indicate that the novel method can be used efficiently by decision makers during an actual anti-bioterrorism relief. 展开更多

The protein complex crystallographic beamline BL19U1 at the Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility is one of the five beamlines dedicated to protein sciences operated by National Facility for Protein Science(Shanghai,China).The beamline,which features a small-gap invacuum undulator,has been officially open to users since March 2015.This beamline delivers X-ray in the energy range 7–15 keV.With its high flux,low divergence beam and a large active area detector,BL19U1 is designed for proteins with large molecular weight and large crystallographic unit cell dimensions.Good performance and stable operation of the beamline have allowed the number of Protein Data Bank(PDB)depositions and the number of articles published based on data collected at this beamline to increase steadily.To date,over 300 research groups have collected data at the beamline.More than 600 PDB entries have been deposited at the PDB(www.pdb.org).More than 300 papers have been published that include data collected at the beamline,including 21 research articles published in the top-level journals Cell,Nature,and Science. 展开更多
