We report the results of the experiment on synthesizing ^(287,288)Mc isotopes (Z=115) using the fusionevaporation reaction ^(243)Am(^(48)Ca,4n,3n)^(287,288)Mc at the Spectrometer for Heavy Atoms and Nuclear Structure-... We report the results of the experiment on synthesizing ^(287,288)Mc isotopes (Z=115) using the fusionevaporation reaction ^(243)Am(^(48)Ca,4n,3n)^(287,288)Mc at the Spectrometer for Heavy Atoms and Nuclear Structure-2(SHANS2),a gas-filled recoil separator located at the China Accelerator Facility for Superheavy Elements(CAFE2).In total,20 decay chains are attributed to ^(288)Mc and 1 decay chain is assigned to ^(287)Mc.The measured oa-decay properties of ^(287,288)Mc as well as its descendants are consistent with the known data.No additional decay chains originating from the 2n or 5n reaction channels were detected.The excitation function of the ^(243)Am(^(48)Ca,3n)^(288)Mc reaction was measured at the cross-section level of picobarn,which indicates the promising capability for the study of heavy and superheavy nuclei at the facility. 展开更多

As an advanced 4^(th) generation synchrotron radiation facility,the Shenzhen Innovation Light-source Facility(SILF)storage ring is based on multi-bend achromat(MBA)lattices,enabling one to two orders of magnitude reduction in beam emittance compared to the 3^(rd) generation storage ring.This significantly enhance the radiation brightness and coherence.The multipole magnets of many types for SILF storage ring are under preliminary design,which require high integral field homogeneity.As a result,a dedicated pole tip optimization procedure with high efficiency is developed for quadrupole and sextupole magnets with Opera-2D^(■)python script.The procedure considers also the 3D field effect which makes the optimization more straightforward.In this paper,the design of the quadrupole and sextupole magnets for SILF storage ring is first presented,followed by a detailed description of the implemented pole shape optimization method. 展开更多

We investigated the psychological effects of nail treatments on children living in child welfare facilities.We performed a single nail treatment on children living in child welfare facilities.As a result,we found that feelings of“energy”,“relaxation”,and“comfort”tended to increase more strongly after the treatment than before.Furthermore,these feelings increased even more after the nail treatment.The effects of nail treatments were unrelated to gender or previous nail experience.Furthermore,nail treatments increased communication and interaction with facility staff and other children residing in the facility,promoting self-expression,and,as a result,increasing a sense of accomplishment,acceptance from others,and self-esteem.This suggests that positive emotions persisted even after nail treatments,leading to positive changes in daily life. 展开更多

This paper proposes an automated detection framework for transmission facilities using a featureattention multi-scale robustness network(FAMSR-Net)with high-fidelity virtual images.The proposed framework exhibits three key characteristics.First,virtual images of the transmission facilities generated using StyleGAN2-ADA are co-trained with real images.This enables the neural network to learn various features of transmission facilities to improve the detection performance.Second,the convolutional block attention module is deployed in FAMSR-Net to effectively extract features from images and construct multi-dimensional feature maps,enabling the neural network to perform precise object detection in various environments.Third,an effective bounding box optimization method called Scylla-IoU is deployed on FAMSR-Net,considering the intersection over union,center point distance,angle,and shape of the bounding box.This enables the detection of power facilities of various sizes accurately.Extensive experiments demonstrated that FAMSRNet outperforms other neural networks in detecting power facilities.FAMSR-Net also achieved the highest detection accuracy when virtual images of the transmission facilities were co-trained in the training phase.The proposed framework is effective for the scheduled operation and maintenance of transmission facilities because an optical camera is currently the most promising tool for unmanned aerial vehicles.This ultimately contributes to improved inspection efficiency,reduced maintenance risks,and more reliable power delivery across extensive transmission facilities. 展开更多

This study addresses a challenge of parametrizing a resolution function of a neutron beam from the neutron time of flight facility n_TOF at CERN.A difficulty stems from a fact that a resolution function exhibits rather strong variations in shape,over approximately ten orders of magnitude in neutron energy.To avoid a need for a manual identification of the appropri-ate analytical forms-hindering past attempts at its parametrization-we take advantage of the versatile machine learning techniques.Specifically,we parametrized it by training a multilayer feedforward neural network,relying on a key idea that such network acts as a universal approximator.The proof-of-concept is presented for a resolution function for the first experimental area of the n_TOF facility from the third phase of its operation.We propose an optimal network structure for a resolution function in question,which is also expected to be optimal or near-optimal for other experimental areas and for different phases of n_TOF operation.To reconstruct several resolution function forms in common use from a single para-metrized form,we provide a practical tool in the form of a specialized C++class encapsulating the computationally efficient procedures suited to the task. 展开更多

The stability of the plane grating monochromator in the Hefei Advanced Light Facility is highly important for beamline focusing,with angular vibration being a key indicator for assessing its stability.This paper proposes an elastic fitting method based on fifth-order polynomial fitting for the precise analysis of microangular vibrations on grating surfaces.Compared with the traditional rigid body method,this method fully considers the three major elastic characteristics exhibited by optical components during vibration:significant phase differences,nonuniform deformation gradients,and spatial distribution differences in angular deformation.The research results indicate that this method can accurately reflect the actual vibration state of the grating surface,not only enabling the quantitative prediction of local angular microvibration but also establishing a reliable theoretical analysis framework for the stability assessment of high-precision instruments. 展开更多

Feedforward compensation-based L1 adaptive control for aeropropulsion system test facility and hardware-in-the-loop verification

Aeropropulsion System Test Facility (ASTF) is required to accurately control the pressure and temperature of the airflow to test the performance of the aero-engine. However, the control accuracy of ASTF is significantly affected by the flow disturbance caused by aero-engine acceleration and deceleration. This would reduce the credibility of ASTF’s test results for the aero-engine. Therefore, first, this paper proposes a feedforward compensation-based L1 adaptive control method for ASTF to address this problem. The baseline controller is first designed based on ideal uncoupled closed-loop dynamics to achieve dynamic decoupling. Then, L1 adaptive control is adopted to deal with various uncertainties and ensure good control performance. To further enhance the anti-disturbance performance, a feedforward strategy based on disturbance prediction is designed in the L1 adaptive control framework to compensate for the unmatched flow disturbance, which cannot be measured directly. In addition, this strategy takes into account the effects of actuator dynamics. With this method, the feedforward term can be determined from the nominal model parameters despite uncertainties. Finally, to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method, various comparative experiments are performed on a hardware-in-the-loop system of ASTF. The experimental results show that the proposed method possesses excellent tracking performance, anti-disturbance performance and robustness. 展开更多

The Cooling Storage Ring of the Heavy Ion Research Facility in Lanzhou(HIRFL-CSR)was constructed to study nuclear physics,atomic physics,interdisciplinary science,and related applications.The External Target Facility(... The Cooling Storage Ring of the Heavy Ion Research Facility in Lanzhou(HIRFL-CSR)was constructed to study nuclear physics,atomic physics,interdisciplinary science,and related applications.The External Target Facility(ETF)is located in the main ring of the HIRFL-CSR.The gamma detector of the ETF is built to measure emitted gamma rays with energies below 5 MeV in the center-of-mass frame and is planned to measure light fragments with energies up to 300 MeV.The readout electronics for the gamma detector were designed and commissioned.The readout electronics consist of thirty-two front-end cards,thirty-two readout control units(RCUs),one common readout unit,one synchronization&clock unit,and one sub-trigger unit.By using the real-time peak-detection algorithm implemented in the RCU,the data volume can be significantly reduced.In addition,trigger logic selection algorithms are implemented to improve the selection of useful events and reduce the data size.The test results show that the integral nonlinearity of the readout electronics is less than 1%,and the energy resolution for measuring the 60 Co source is better than 5.5%.This study discusses the design and performance of the readout electronics. 展开更多

The first experiments on laser-driven cylindrical gold foam hohlraums have been performed at the 100 kJ SG-Ⅲ laser facility.Measurements of the expanding plasma emission show that there is less expanding plasma fill in foam hohlraums with a wall density of 0.8 g/cm^(3) than in solid gold hohlraums.The radiation temperatures at different angles confirm these results.Simulation results show that the expanding plasma density in the foam hohlraums is lower than in the solid hohlraums,resulting in less expanding plasma emission and higher radiation temperature.Thus,foam gold hohlraums have advantages in reducing wall plasma filling and improving X-ray transmission,which has potential applications in achieving a higher fusion yield. 展开更多
