To adapt to national climate change strategies,understanding the thermal vulnerability of urban functional zones(UFZs)is critical for enhancing the livability and sustainable development of cities.We address the limit...To adapt to national climate change strategies,understanding the thermal vulnerability of urban functional zones(UFZs)is critical for enhancing the livability and sustainable development of cities.We address the limitations of existing thermal vulnerability assessments by incorporating human perception into the analysis.Specifically,we introduce the sky openness index to reflect human perception of the thermal environment and examine variations in thermal vulnerability across different UFZs.Using the Extreme Gradient Boosting(XGBoost)-SHapley Additive exPlanations(SHAP)model,we analyze the contributions of 2D and 3D urban form indicators to thermal vulnerability and link these contributions to the unique needs and vulnerability characteristics of UFZs of Foshan City,China in 2023.The results reveal that:1)high-value heat-fragile areas(1.74–2.00]constitute 10.42%of Foshan City;2)traffic zone and publiccommercial zone exhibit the highest levels of thermal vulnerability;and 3)building height and the normalized building index are the most influential factors,with contributions of|0.06|and|0.03|,respectively.We provide a scientific foundation for developing governance strategies to promote urban resilience.展开更多

In general, fertilizer effects from high to low were N fertilizer〉K ferUlizer〉P fertilizer. Background:Triatomines,also known as kissing bugs,which are found throughout the world and especially in Latin America,are well known natural vectors that transmit American trypanosomiasis,also called Chagas disease.I...Background:Triatomines,also known as kissing bugs,which are found throughout the world and especially in Latin America,are well known natural vectors that transmit American trypanosomiasis,also called Chagas disease.In China,the presence of two species of Triatoma(Triatoma rubrofasciata and T.sinica)was recorded in the past.Due to the growing population and the increasing risk of the global spread of Chagas disease,triatomines became a potential public health nuisance,and in 2016,we started monitoring triatomine activities in southern China.Methods:Triatomine specimens were collected by the National Institute of Parasitic Diseases,Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention,and identified by their morphological characteristics under a dissecting microscope.In addition to morphological analysis,the genomic DNA of the specimens was extracted,and the mitochondrial 16S rRNA,the cytochrome b(CytB)gene and the nuclear ribosomal 28S rRNA gene were PCRamplified to analyze and confirm the species genetically.Results:One female adult insect and one male adult insect were collected in a dwelling in the rural area of Shunde County,Foshan City,Guangdong Province,China(22°42′44.63″N,113°08′45.34″E).The results from the morphological and genetic analyses indicated that these triatomines were T.rubrofasciata.Conclusions:This is the first time that the occurrence of T.rubrofasciata has been confirmed in Foshan City,Guangdong Province in southern China.Further studies are needed to reach a clearer understanding of the ecology of this species of triatomine,since it has been found to be naturally infected by Trypanosoma cruzi and T.conorhini and there is evidence of its domiciliation capabilities.展开更多

文摘Background:Triatomines,also known as kissing bugs,which are found throughout the world and especially in Latin America,are well known natural vectors that transmit American trypanosomiasis,also called Chagas disease.In China,the presence of two species of Triatoma(Triatoma rubrofasciata and T.sinica)was recorded in the past.Due to the growing population and the increasing risk of the global spread of Chagas disease,triatomines became a potential public health nuisance,and in 2016,we started monitoring triatomine activities in southern China.Methods:Triatomine specimens were collected by the National Institute of Parasitic Diseases,Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention,and identified by their morphological characteristics under a dissecting microscope.In addition to morphological analysis,the genomic DNA of the specimens was extracted,and the mitochondrial 16S rRNA,the cytochrome b(CytB)gene and the nuclear ribosomal 28S rRNA gene were PCRamplified to analyze and confirm the species genetically.Results:One female adult insect and one male adult insect were collected in a dwelling in the rural area of Shunde County,Foshan City,Guangdong Province,China(22°42′44.63″N,113°08′45.34″E).The results from the morphological and genetic analyses indicated that these triatomines were T.rubrofasciata.Conclusions:This is the first time that the occurrence of T.rubrofasciata has been confirmed in Foshan City,Guangdong Province in southern China.Further studies are needed to reach a clearer understanding of the ecology of this species of triatomine,since it has been found to be naturally infected by Trypanosoma cruzi and T.conorhini and there is evidence of its domiciliation capabilities.

文摘An index system for evaluation of technologies for urban river rehabilitation was proposed and discussed.The index system includes indicators of cost,resources,environmental improvement,and social effects.The calculation method for an objective value of each index based on its attributes and weights was presented.The Foshan Channel,which is a seriously polluted,black and malodorous urban river in Foshan City,China,was selected as a case study.The values of the attributes and the weights of the indices for the Foshan Channel were determined.The technologies for the rehabilitation of the Foshan Channel were evaluated based on this index system.Finally,a rehabilitation scheme for the Foshan Channel was proposed.
