This system integrates the technologies of sensor, signal process, communication, network, computer, control, instrument structure and mass knowledge of experts. Comparing with conventional off-line yarn test, the new system can find the quality defects of yarn online in time and compensate for the lack of expert knowledge in manual analysis. It can save a lot of yarn wasted in off-line test and improve product quality. By using laser sensor to sample the diameter signal of yarn and doing wavelet analysis and FFT to extract fault characteristics, a set of reasoning mechanism is established to analyze yarn quality and locate the fault origination. The experimental results show that new system can do well in monitoring yarn quality online comparing with conventional off-line yarn test. It can test the quality of yarn in real-time with high efficiency and analyze the fault reason accurately. It is very useful to apply this new system to upgrade yarn quality in cotton textile industry at present.展开更多

The Ansys CFX commercial software package and the Scale-Adaptive Simulation (SAS) hybrid turbulence model are used for numerical analyses. The paper is focused on an analysis that the pressure wave generation resulting from unsteady flow phenomena. In order to present the problem, the Fast Fourier Transformation (FFT) analysis of pressure fluctuation is carried out at selected points of the turbine stage computational domain. A comparison of values of individual components for subsequent control points allows an approximate determination of the place of generation of pressure waves, the direction of their propagation and the damping rate. Moreover, the numerical analyses make it possible to evaluate the justification for the use of the SAS model, which is rather demanding in terms of equipment, in simulations of unsteady flow fields where generation and propagation of noise waves occur.展开更多

The predicted aerodynamic performances show noticeable differences when simulating the turbine stages simultaneously or separately. By considering the multi-blade per row and the scaling technique, the Computational fluid dynamics(CFD) produced better results concerning the effect of pitchwise positions between vanes and blades. The recorded pressure fluctuations exhibit a high unsteadiness characterized by a space–time periodicity described by a double Fourier decomposition. The Fast Fourier Transform FFT analysis of the static pressure fluctuations recorded at different interfaces reveals the existence of principal harmonics and their multiples, and each lobed structure of pressure wave corresponds to the number of vane/blade count. The potential effect is seen to propagate both upstream and downstream of each blade row and becomes accentuated at low mass flow rates. Between vanes and blades, the potential effect is seen to dominate the quasi totality of blade span, while downstream the blades this effect seems to dominate from hub to mid span. Near the shroud the prevailing effect is rather linked to the blade tip flow structure.展开更多

Based on this method a magnetic rotor is measured. The authors point out that the main cause to affect radial rotating accuracy of the rotating shaft at a high speed is the dynamic imbalance of the shaft itself. Finally the feedforward control scheme is suggested to improve the accuracy of the shaft in an active magnetic bearing ( AMB ) system.展开更多
