Some ablation experiments of Ethylene-Propylene-Diene Monomer(EPDM)insulator were carried out in quasi-static low temperature gas environment,gas-phase environment,two-phase environment with Al2O3 grain and high concentration Al2O3 grain gas environments.Their charring ablation rate,thickness,surface morphology and main ingredient of the charring layer were analyzed.The experiment results show that the main influent factors for the charring ablation rate are the gas temperature,grain concentration and state of grain impact;the main influent factors for the charring layer thickness are the gas velocity and environment pressure;and the process of SiO2 migrating in the charring layer occur commonly in different gas environments.They provide a foundation for the ablation mechanism research and modeling of EPDM insulator. 展开更多

We report on the transmission spectra of a sausage-like microresonator(SLM)in aqueous environment,where a fiber taper is used as a light coupler.The transmission spectra show an interesting dependence on the coupling position between the SLM and the fiber taper.When the SLM is moved along the fiber taper,the line shape can evolve periodically among symmetric dips,asymmetric Fano-like resonance line shapes,and symmetric peaks.A coupled-mode theory with feedback is developed to explain the observation.The observation of Fano-like resonance in aqueous environment holds great potential in biochemical sensing. 展开更多

This study investigates the relationship between sidewalk space and pedestrians,as well as how the design and improvement of sidewalk visual landscapes can enhance pedestrians’psychological restoration.Sidewalk quality in China varies,making it challenging to meet the urban residents’expectations for sidewalk environments.In this research,psychological perception experiments were conducted on 60 sidewalks in the core functional area of Beijing.The visual landscape of the sidewalk was divided into four dimensions:canopy,ground plane,roadside plane,and building wall.In this study,a total of 52 spatial elements were extracted and evaluated based on the dimensions of fascination,being-away,coherence,and scope in relation to pedestrians’psychological perception.The findings confirm that urban greenery and street accessibility,among other spatial elements,significantly positively influence pedestrians’willingness to walk.Furthermore,a balanced distribution of elements within sidewalk space can better enhance pedestrians’psychological restoration capabilities. 展开更多
