Furthermore, the program conslaw.mpl can be used to determine the preferences for a given parameterized nonlinear evolution systems. This paper first develops a Lyapunov-type theorem to study global well-posedness(existence and uniqueness of the strong variational solution)and asymptotic stability in probability of nonlinear stochastic evolution systems(SESs)driven by a special class of Levy processes,which consist of Wiener and compensated Poisson processes.This theorem is then utilized to develop an approach to solve an inverse optimal stabilization problem for SESs driven by Levy processes.The inverse optimal control design achieves global well-posedness and global asymptotic stability of the closed-loop system,and minimizes a meaningful cost functional that penalizes both states and control.The approach does not require to solve a Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman equation(HJBE).An optimal stabilization of the evolution of the frequency of a certain genetic character from the population is included to illustrate the theoretical developments. 展开更多

The optimal control design ensures global well-posedness and global practical K∞-exponential stability of the closed-loop system, minimizes a cost functional,which appropriately penalizes both state and control in the sense that it is positive definite(and radially unbounded) in the state and control, without having to solve a Hamilton-Jacobi-Belman equation(HJBE). The Lyapunov functional used in the control design explicitly solves a family of HJBEs. The results are applied to design inverse optimal boundary stabilization control laws for extensible and shearable slender beams governed by fully nonlinear partial differential equations. 展开更多

A complex system is inherently high-dimensional.Recent studies indicate that,even without complete knowledge of its evolutionary dynamics,the future behavior of such a system can be predicted using time-series data(data-driven prediction).This suggests that the essential dynamics of a complex system can be captured through a low-dimensional representation.Virus evolution and climate change are two examples of complex,time-varying systems.In this article,we show that mutations in the spike protein provide valuable data for predicting SARS-CoV-2 variants,forecasting the possible emergence of the new macro-lineage Q in the near future.Our analysis also demonstrates that carbon dioxide concentration is a reliable indicator for predicting the evolution of the climate system,extending global surface air temperature(GSAT)forecasts through 2500. 展开更多

Amid ongoing global environmental change and the critical pursuit of sustainable development,human-environment systems are exhibiting increasingly complex dynamic evolutions and spatial relationships,underscoring an urgent need for innovative research frameworks.Integrated geography synthesizes physical geography,human geography,and geographic information science,providing key frameworks for understanding complex human-environment systems.This editorial proposes an emerging research framework for integrated geography—“Composite driving-System evolution-Coupling mechanism-Synergistic regulation(CSCS)”—based on key issues such as climate change,biodiversity loss,resource scarcity,and social-ecological interactions,which have been highlighted in both recent critical literature on human-environment systems and UN assessment reports.The framework starts with diverse composite driving forces,extends to the evolution of human-environment system structures,processes,and functions that these drivers induce,explores couplings within human-environment systems,and calls for regulation aimed at sustainable development in synergies.Major research frontiers include understanding the cascading“evolution-coupling”effects of shocks;measuring system resilience,thresholds,and safe and just operating space boundaries;clarifying linkage mechanisms across scales;and achieving synergistic outcomes for multi-objective sustainability.This framework will help promote the interdisciplinary integration and development of integrated geography,and provide geographical solutions for the global sustainable development agenda. 展开更多

The Longmenshan structural belt on the eastern edge of the Tibetan Plateau experienced the impactful Mw7.92008 Wenchuan Earthquake,causing a 350 km surface rupture.Traditional models attribute this to the Beichuan and Pengguan faults,but our research reveals a complex fault system at the northern end,with inconsistencies in surface rupture,aftershock distribution,and focal mechanisms.We integrate shallow geology,active source seismic reflection,and magnetotelluric profiling to establish a deep structural model for the northern end of the Longmenshan structural belt.This area exhibits dominant reverse thrust nappe tectonics,and analyzing the tectonic evolution history provides insights into deformation propagation from the orogenic belt toward the Sichuan Basin.Focal mechanism analysis and relocated aftershock data reveals two distinct types of seismogenic structures in the northern end of the Longmenshan structural belt.In the middle to northern segments,the reverse fault type is attributed to reactivated pre-existing faults.Conversely,at the northern end,the strike-slip fault type originates from high-angle co-seismic rupture cutting through pre-existing reverse faults.This study enhances our understanding of fault complexity and seismic mechanisms in the northeastern Longmenshan structural belt,providing new insights into regional tectonics. 展开更多

High-performance 24CrNiMo steel was fabricated using Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF). Subsequent quenching treatment was applied and the influence of quenching temperatures on micro-structure evolution and properties was systematically characterised and analysed. The micro-structure of the as-built steel consisted of two parts. The first part comprised martensite with twins combined with ω-Fe nano-particles, and the second part consisted of lower bainite in the molten pool, as well as upper bainite, granular bainite and tempered martensite in the heat-affected zone. With the quenching temperatures varying from 800℃ to 950℃, the micro-structure gradually transformed from acicular ferrite + martensite to tempered martensite +θ-Fe3C carbides, and the grain size exhibited noticeable growth. Moreover, quenching treatments could eliminate the anisotropy and inhomogeneity of the micro-structure. The rod-shaped nanosized η-Fe2C and θ-Fe3C precipitates were clearly observed, which were converted from ω-Fe and distributed at multiple angles in the lath. The size and number of nano-precipitates, triggered by the high self-tempering degree of martensite, gradually increased. The relationships among grain size, the twins, dislocation density and nano-precipitation and the dramatically improved performance of quenched samples were analysed using strengthening mechanisms. After quenching at 850℃, the as-built 24CrNiMo steel attained ultra-high mechanical properties including hardness, Ultimate Tensile Strength (UTS), Elongation (El) and impact energy with values of 480.9 HV_(1), 1611.4 MPa, 9.8% and 42.8 J, respectively. Meanwhile, both the wear and thermal fatigue resistance increased by approximately 40%. This study demonstrated that LPBF-fabricated 24CrNiMo steel, with matching good performances, can be achieved using a subsequent one-step quenching process. 展开更多

The continental Asia is mainly composed of three major tectonic regimes,the Tethys,Paleo Asian Ocean,and West Pacific.It underwent multi-stage plate convergences,ocean-continent transformations,and subductions,collisions and/or collages,and post collisional(orogenic)extensions in Phanerozoic.Tectonic evolution of the Asia brings up a unique fault system and tectonic geomorphological features in the China's Mainland.Also,it provides a geodynamic background for the formation and evolution of metallogeneses and mineral systems,resulting in nonuniform distribution of tectono-metallogenic systems and metallogenic belts.The spatiotemporal distribution of mineral deposits in China and adjacent areas exhibits periodic variation under controlling of the full life Wilson cycle and tectonic evolution,forming the plate convergence-related mineral system in East Asia.Porphyry Cu deposits are mainly related to compressional systems in Paleozoic and early Mesozoic,and more closely related to post-collision extensional settings in late Mesozoic and Cenozoic.Orogenic Au deposits mainly formed in post-orogeny extensional setting.Alkaline rock related rare earth element deposits formed mainly at margins of the North China and Yangtze cratons.Granite-pegmatite Li and other rare metal deposits formed mainly in early Mesozoic,related to Indosinian post-orogeny extension.Tectono-metallogenic systems provide important basis for the prospecting of mineral resources. 展开更多

Taking the Paleozoic of the Sichuan and Tarim basins in China as example,the controlling effects of the Earth system evolution and multi-spherical interactions on the formation and enrichment of marine ultra-deep petroleum in China have been elaborated.By discussing the development of“source-reservoir-seal”controlled by the breakup and assembly of supercontinents and regional tectonic movements,and the mechanisms of petroleum generation and accumulation controlled by temperature-pressure system and fault conduit system,Both the South China and Tarim blocks passed through the intertropical convergence zone(ITCZ)of the low-latitude Hadley Cell twice during their drifts,and formed hydrocarbon source rocks with high quality.It is proposed that deep tectonic activities and surface climate evolution jointly controlled the types and stratigraphic positions of ultra-deep hydrocarbon source rocks,reservoirs,and seals in the Sichuan and Tarim basins,forming multiple petroleum systems in the Ediacaran-Cambrian,Cambrian-Ordovician,Cambrian-Permian and Permian-Triassic strata.The matching degree of source-reservoir-seal,the type of organic matter in source rocks,the deep thermal regime of basin,and the burial-uplift process across tectonic periods collectively control the entire process from the generation to the accumulation of oil and gas.Three types of oil and gas enrichment models are formed,including near-source accumulation in platform marginal zones,distant-source accumulation in high-energy beaches through faults,and three-dimensional accumulation in strike-slip fault zones,which ultimately result in the multi-layered natural gas enrichment in ultra-deep layers of the Sichuan Basin and co-enrichment of oil and gas in the ultra-deep layers of the Tarim Basin. 展开更多

The utilization of iron coke provides a green pathway for low-carbon ironmaking.To uncover the influence mechanism of iron ore on the behavior and kinetics of iron coke gasification,the effect of iron ore on the microstructure of iron coke was investigated.Furthermore,a comparative study of the gasification reactions between iron coke and coke was conducted through non-isothermal thermogravimetric method.The findings indicate that compared to coke,iron coke exhibits an augmentation in micropores and specific surface area,and the micropores further extend and interconnect.This provides more adsorption sites for CO_(2) molecules during the gasification process,resulting in a reduction in the initial gasification temperature of iron coke.Accelerating the heating rate in non-isothermal gasification can enhance the reactivity of iron coke.The metallic iron reduced from iron ore is embedded in the carbon matrix,reducing the orderliness of the carbon structure,which is primarily responsible for the heightened reactivity of the carbon atoms.The kinetic study indicates that the random pore model can effectively represent the gasification process of iron coke due to its rich pore structure.Moreover,as the proportion of iron ore increases,the activation energy for the carbon gasification gradually decreases,from 246.2 kJ/mol for coke to 192.5 kJ/mol for iron coke 15wt%. 展开更多

Brazing filler metals are widely applied,which serve as an industrial adhesive in the joining of dissimilar structures.With the continuous emergence of new structures and materials,the demand for novel brazing filler metals is ever-increasing.It is of great significance to investigate the optimized composition design methods and to establish systematic design guidelines for brazing filler metals.This study elucidated the fundamental rules for the composition design of brazing filler metals from a three-dimensional perspective encompassing the basic properties of applied brazing filler metals,formability and processability,and overall cost.The basic properties of brazing filler metals refer to their mechanical properties,physicochemical properties,electromagnetic properties,corrosion resistance,and the wettability and fluidity during brazing.The formability and processability of brazing filler metals include the processes of smelting and casting,extrusion,rolling,drawing and ring-making,as well as the processes of granulation,powder production,and the molding of amorphous and microcrystalline structures.The cost of brazing filler metals corresponds to the sum of materials value and manufacturing cost.Improving the comprehensive properties of brazing filler metals requires a comprehensive and systematic consideration of design indicators.Highlighting the unique characteristics of brazing filler metals should focus on relevant technical indicators.Binary or ternary eutectic structures can effectively enhance the flow spreading ability of brazing filler metals,and solid solution structures contribute to the formability.By employing the proposed design guidelines,typical Ag based,Cu based,Zn based brazing filler metals,and Sn based solders were designed and successfully applied in major scientific and engineering projects. 展开更多

Gradient magnetic heterointerfaces have injected infinite vitality in optimizing impedance matching,adjusting dielectric/magnetic resonance and promoting electromagnetic(EM)wave absorption,but still exist a significant challenging in regulating local phase evolution.Herein,accordion-shaped Co/Co_(3)O_(4)@N-doped carbon nanosheets(Co/Co_(3)O_(4)@NC)with gradient magnetic heterointerfaces have been fabricated via the cooperative high-temperature carbonization and lowtemperature oxidation process.The results indicate that the surface epitaxial growth of crystal Co_(3)O_(4) domains on local Co nanoparticles realizes the adjustment of magnetic-heteroatomic components,which are beneficial for optimizing impedance matching and interfacial polarization.Moreover,gradient magnetic heterointerfaces simultaneously realize magnetic coupling,and long-range magnetic diffraction.Specifically,the synthesized Co/Co_(3)O_(4)@NC absorbents display the strong electromagnetic wave attenuation capability of−53.5 dB at a thickness of 3.0 mm with an effective absorption bandwidth of 5.36 GHz,both are superior to those of single magnetic domains embedded in carbon matrix.This design concept provides us an inspiration in optimizing interfacial polarization,regulating magnetic coupling and promoting electromagnetic wave absorption. 展开更多

Hyperpycnal deposits has gradually emerged as a current research hotspot,with a special focus on lacustrine hyperpycnal deposits.However,our understanding of the formation mechanism and distribution of high-quality reservoirs in hyperpycnal deposits remains insufficient.In this study,the formation mechanism and distribution of high-quality reservoirs in the second member of the Sangonghe Formation are studied through sedimentology,petrology,and geochemistry,and 10 types of lithofacies were identified in the depositional sequences of the hyperpycnal flow.These can be summarized as gravelly bed to suspended load lithofacies association(GBS),gravelly reverse to normal compound-graded(GNR),coarse-grained sandy suspended load(CSS),and fine-grained sandy suspended load(FSS)lithofacies associations.The hyperpycnal system can be divided into four individual units:restricted channel,unrestricted channel,lobe,and levee.The reservoir quality varies with lithofacies.Gravelly bed load lithofacies has coarse grain sizes,high content of rigid minerals,and soluble components,such as magmatic rock fragments.Therefore,the gravelly bed load lithofacies reservoir has developed dissolution pores and well-preserved pore throats.Its reservoir quality is good.GBS and GNR are the main lithofacies associations in the restricted channel,where type I and type II reservoirs developed.The unrestricted channel is dominated by the CSS lithofacies association,with type III reservoirs developed.The lobe is dominated by the CSS and FSS lithofacies associations,with type III and type IV reservoirs developed.High-quality reservoirs mainly develop in the restricted and unrestricted channels,whereas reservoirs in the lobe have poor quality.The levees are dominated by siltstone and gray mudstone and are generally nonreservoirs. 展开更多

Seawater electrolysis is one most promising development directions for future hydrogen energy.How-ever,big challenges of active site poisoning,chloride oxidation(ClOR),and chloride corrosion on anode electrocatalysts,seriously impede seawater electrolysis development.Therefore,developing efficient an-odic oxygen evolution reaction(OER)electrocatalysts is an urgent task for seawater electrolysis.The ad-vanced strategies of improving OER kinetics,lowering ClOR kinetics,strengthening corrosion resistance,and recombining multifunction are summarized and analyzed to help researchers quickly grasp the re-cent progress on seawater oxidation.The outlooks for future research are put forward.The future research directions are proposed as internal and external cultivation,giving full play to the physicochemical prop-erties of electrocatalysts,making sense of structure evolution and OER mechanism,and elucidating the electrical double layer of electrocatalysts.A lot of room for scalable application of seawater electrolysis calls for persistent effort and devotion of related researchers to boost seawater electrolysis development and universal hydrogen energy application. 展开更多

Based on the“unidirectional break-up and convergence”geodynamic model,this study investigates the impact of the evolution of the Tethyan domain on the formation of petroleum systems in the Sichuan super basin and explores the enrichment pattern of natural gas.The results show that,firstly,the Sichuan Basin and its surrounding areas have experienced two unidirectional rifting-aggregation cycles triggered by the Proto-Tethys Ocean and the Paleo-Tethys Ocean during the Neoproterozoic to Triassic.During Jurassic–Cenozoic,the Sichuan Basin is incorporated in the circum-Tibetan plateau basin-mountain coupled tectonic domain system.The episodic tectonic movements within the plate control the sedimentary infill styles.Second,the evolution of the Tethyan domain,paleoclimatic environment and major geological events controlled the formation and distribution of high-quality source rocks within the basin.The rift valley and intracratonic rift,passive continental margin slope,and intracratonic sags are favorable areas for the development of source rocks.Third,the evolution of the Tethyan domain,supercontinent cycles,global sea level changes,and tectono-climatic events controlled the distribution of carbonate platform and reservoir-caprock combinations.The cratonic platform margins and sub-platform internal high terrains are key areas for finding carbonate high-energy facies belts.Syndepositional paleo-uplifts and surrounding slopes,regional unconformities,and later faults zone are areas where large-scale carbonate reservoirs are distributed.The regional evaporite or shale caprock are beneficial for the large-scale preservation of oil and gas in the basin.Fourth,the spatio-temporal matching relationship of reservoir forming factors influenced by the early tectonic-sedimentary evolution pattern and the degree of later tectonic modification is the key to oil and gas enrichment.Future oil and gas exploration should focus on potential gas systems during the Sinian rift period,Cambrian pre-salt gas systems in the eastern and southern Sichuan,as well as whole oil and gas systems of Permian and Triassic. 展开更多

The optimization of the rule base of a fuzzy logic system (FLS) based on evolutionary algorithm has achievednotable results. However, due to the diversity of the deep structure in the hierarchical fuzzy system (HFS) and thecorrelation of each sub fuzzy system, the uncertainty of the HFS’s deep structure increases. For the HFS, a largenumber of studies mainly use fixed structures, which cannot be selected automatically. To solve this problem, thispaper proposes a novel approach for constructing the incremental HFS. During system design, the deep structureand the rule base of the HFS are encoded separately. Subsequently, the deep structure is adaptively mutated basedon the fitness value, so as to realize the diversity of deep structures while ensuring reasonable competition amongthe structures. Finally, the differential evolution (DE) is used to optimize the deep structure of HFS and theparameters of antecedent and consequent simultaneously. The simulation results confirm the effectiveness of themodel. Specifically, the root mean square errors in the Laser dataset and Friedman dataset are 0.0395 and 0.0725,respectively with rule counts of rules is 8 and 12, respectively.When compared to alternative methods, the resultsindicate that the proposed method offers improvements in accuracy and rule counts. 展开更多
