Method: This study is exploratory and descriptive qualitative research. We...Objective: Verify if the educational technology based on Just in Time Education is relevant to Permanent Health Education in Workers’ Health. Method: This study is exploratory and descriptive qualitative research. Were performed semi-structured interviews were carried out with the worker’s health team of a large company from the South of Brazil region. The collected data were carried out in 2021, between January and May, through the virtual environment, with eight participants from the Work Health Team of Eletrosul, located in Florianópolis, who agreed to participate in the research by signing the Free and Informed Consent Term, in accordance with the data saturation criterion. The research was approved by the Ethics Committee (n. 4079133) and the data were submitted to Bardin for thematic content analysis. Result: The results are presented from three categories: 1) Expansion and inclusion in Permanent Education needs;2) Tools adopted in educational processes;3) Just in Time Education: educational technology for workers’ health. Conclusion: The active methodology Just in Time Education helps the processes of Permanent Education in Health, which moved from a face-to-face model to e-learning and required the knowledge renewal in the technology area to maintain efficient communication. This methodology allows quick and accurate access to information from a reliable, adequate, and up-to-date source, causing a positive impact on the qualified and problem-solving work process, in line with the needs of the employer and the company. Therefore, Just in Time Education can provide standardization, organization, and informational and operational quality necessary in this context, in addition to serving as an indicator and data generator (management tool).展开更多

As a h...This study attempts to characterize the China meteorological administration training hosted by China Meteorological Administration Training Centre (CMATC) and relates it to the current international settings. As a higher education & training organization previously, CMATC has been serving as the national base for higher continued education and on-the-job training in the meteorological field. The main tasks of CMATC are to pro- mote the training for the administrative staff at middle or higher levels in Chinese meteorological departments, such as the novel and high-level tech- nicians, operational backbones and instructors, and compile the meteorological training materials. On the other hand, a remote education & training system of the meteorological division has been formed and largely improved. Additionally, we concluded that it should be a long-term development process for Chinese social education in meteorological field to entirely integrate into the current international settings.展开更多

The purpose of this study was to construct and to validate a distance course for...Mammary health is issue faced by public health nurses and the science follows new ways into this thematic area of learning course wares. The purpose of this study was to construct and to validate a distance course for mammary health promotion for nurses. Methodological proposal has been composed of five stages: 1) analysis and planning, 2) modeling, 3) implementation, 4) evaluation and maintenance and 5) distribution. A total of nine experts as research population were consulted who were expert judges of nursing, pedagogy and web designer, three of each specific area, which were included in the study. The variables that had concordance index of 50% were: graphic designer pages favors learning, the user has easy navigation, the learning of the student experience, the environment provides interdisciplinary, content is built on process rather than there is a unique sequence, allows access to the available environment and holds a discussion on the subject. The distance learning course is intended to broaden and to enrich the living spaces and construct their own knowledge, favors interactivity, communication, autonomy and cooperation between the participants and provides access to educational technologies.展开更多
Advanced artificial intelligence technologies such as ChatGPT and other large language models(LLMs)have significantly impacted fields such as education and research in recent years.ChatGPT benefits students and educat...Advanced artificial intelligence technologies such as ChatGPT and other large language models(LLMs)have significantly impacted fields such as education and research in recent years.ChatGPT benefits students and educators by providing personalized feedback,facilitating interactive learning,and introducing innovative teaching methods.While many researchers have studied ChatGPT across various subject domains,few analyses have focused on the engineering domain,particularly in addressing the risks of academic dishonesty and potential declines in critical thinking skills.To address this gap,this study explores both the opportunities and limitations of ChatGPT in engineering contexts through a two-part analysis.First,we conducted experiments with ChatGPT to assess its effectiveness in tasks such as code generation,error checking,and solution optimization.Second,we surveyed 125 users,predominantly engineering students,to analyze ChatGPTs role in academic support.Our findings reveal that 93.60%of respondents use ChatGPT for quick academic answers,particularly among early-stage university students,and that 84.00%find it helpful for sourcing research materials.The study also highlights ChatGPT’s strengths in programming assistance,with 84.80%of users utilizing it for debugging and 86.40%for solving coding problems.However,limitations persist,with many users reporting inaccuracies in mathematical solutions and occasional false citations.Furthermore,the reliance on the free version by 96%of users underscores its accessibility but also suggests limitations in resource availability.This work provides key insights into ChatGPT’s strengths and limitations,establishing a framework for responsible AI use in education.Highlighting areas for improvement marks a milestone in understanding and optimizing AI’s role in academia for sustainable future use.展开更多

The Systematic review of research...Systematic Review and Meta-analysis are techniques which attempt to associate the findings from similar studies and deliver quantitative summaries of the research literature [1]. The Systematic review of research literature identifies the common research methods, research design, sample size, parameters used, survey instruments, etc. used by the group of researchers. This study intends to fulfill this purpose in order to identify common research mythologies, dependent variables, sample sizes, moderators and mediators used in the field of analysing technology adoption based studies that utilizes the UTAUT2 model. This research collected over 59 published articles and conducted descriptive analytics. The results have revealed performance expectancy/perceived usefulness, trust and habit as the best predictors of consumer behavioural intentions towards the adoption of mobile application. Behavioural intention was the best predictor of use behaviour among the 57 articles selected. 274 was the mean sample size of research with 25 mean questionnaire items. SPSS and AMOS were the most common softwares used in all 57 studies, and 32 of those studies used UTAUT1 model while 14 researches incorporated the UTAUT2 model. There were also two promising predictors such as perceived risk on behavioural intention and habit on use behaviour.展开更多

It ensures interdisciplinarity, multi...GeoQuest Project is the design of a new teaching and learning technology based on Computer Class Role Playing Games (RPG) to teach Earth Science in a STEAM educational approach. It ensures interdisciplinarity, multilinguai approach (CLIL compliance) and interactive activities in classrooms. This educational game uses students' personal tablets and smartphones to interact with the game, with a system more comprehensible and funny for young people compared to traditional methodologies. Students are bringing "in situation" by the adventure, so teachers can get a rigorous assessment of their skills. The Game includes several adventure paths, suitable for different age students. They are focused on scientific topics, humanities, hands-on activities in interdisciplinary way. If used conditions do not allow practical or laboratorial activities provided by the game, players can see some videos to understand the activities. Experimental results were outstanding: the RPG appreciation is in agreement with the experiments outcome. This work experience gets excellent feedbacks by teachers, in terms of efficacy of this new teaching methodology and of results achieving.展开更多

文摘Advanced artificial intelligence technologies such as ChatGPT and other large language models(LLMs)have significantly impacted fields such as education and research in recent years.ChatGPT benefits students and educators by providing personalized feedback,facilitating interactive learning,and introducing innovative teaching methods.While many researchers have studied ChatGPT across various subject domains,few analyses have focused on the engineering domain,particularly in addressing the risks of academic dishonesty and potential declines in critical thinking skills.To address this gap,this study explores both the opportunities and limitations of ChatGPT in engineering contexts through a two-part analysis.First,we conducted experiments with ChatGPT to assess its effectiveness in tasks such as code generation,error checking,and solution optimization.Second,we surveyed 125 users,predominantly engineering students,to analyze ChatGPTs role in academic support.Our findings reveal that 93.60%of respondents use ChatGPT for quick academic answers,particularly among early-stage university students,and that 84.00%find it helpful for sourcing research materials.The study also highlights ChatGPT’s strengths in programming assistance,with 84.80%of users utilizing it for debugging and 86.40%for solving coding problems.However,limitations persist,with many users reporting inaccuracies in mathematical solutions and occasional false citations.Furthermore,the reliance on the free version by 96%of users underscores its accessibility but also suggests limitations in resource availability.This work provides key insights into ChatGPT’s strengths and limitations,establishing a framework for responsible AI use in education.Highlighting areas for improvement marks a milestone in understanding and optimizing AI’s role in academia for sustainable future use.
文摘As higher education undergoes rapid digital transformation,new technologies are reshaping the way institutions teach,support,and engage with students.This paper explores how intelligent systems are being used to personalize learning,improve academic support,and streamline administrative processes.While these tools offer clear benefits,they also raise important concerns around access,equity,privacy,and institutional readiness.Drawing on recent literature and case studies from various countries,the study highlights both the promise and complexity of integrating new technologies into higher education.It concludes with a call for thoughtful,inclusive strategies that ensure innovation supports all learners and strengthens the core values of education.
文摘This article explores the transformative role of digital education in overcoming geographic and systemic challenges in the Maldives,an archipelagic nation facing unique educational constraints.Leveraging digital tools offers a critical solution to bridge these barriers and ensure accessible,quality education across the islands.The Maldives National University(MNU)has undertaken initiatives to expand digital education offerings,accelerated during the COVID-19 pandemic to facilitate online learning across the Maldives.Drawing on MNU’s 2021 study,“The Impact of COVID-19 Pandemic on the Higher Education Sector of Maldives:Responses and Challenges,”this paper examines challenges such as infrastructure limitations,digital literacy gaps,and student engagement,alongside MNU’s strategies to address these issues.This article also highlights MNU’s ongoing research initiatives,including participation in the EU Erasmus project DIGITAsia and a completed e-learning project with the EU,and discusses the value of international collaboration in advancing digital education.Furthermore,it outlines current government initiatives aimed at enhancing digital literacy among citizens.Future directions are discussed,including the integration of adaptive technologies to further personalize learning and prepare students for the demands of a global digital economy.
文摘Systematic Review and Meta-analysis are techniques which attempt to associate the findings from similar studies and deliver quantitative summaries of the research literature [1]. The Systematic review of research literature identifies the common research methods, research design, sample size, parameters used, survey instruments, etc. used by the group of researchers. This study intends to fulfill this purpose in order to identify common research mythologies, dependent variables, sample sizes, moderators and mediators used in the field of analysing technology adoption based studies that utilizes the UTAUT2 model. This research collected over 59 published articles and conducted descriptive analytics. The results have revealed performance expectancy/perceived usefulness, trust and habit as the best predictors of consumer behavioural intentions towards the adoption of mobile application. Behavioural intention was the best predictor of use behaviour among the 57 articles selected. 274 was the mean sample size of research with 25 mean questionnaire items. SPSS and AMOS were the most common softwares used in all 57 studies, and 32 of those studies used UTAUT1 model while 14 researches incorporated the UTAUT2 model. There were also two promising predictors such as perceived risk on behavioural intention and habit on use behaviour.
文摘GeoQuest Project is the design of a new teaching and learning technology based on Computer Class Role Playing Games (RPG) to teach Earth Science in a STEAM educational approach. It ensures interdisciplinarity, multilinguai approach (CLIL compliance) and interactive activities in classrooms. This educational game uses students' personal tablets and smartphones to interact with the game, with a system more comprehensible and funny for young people compared to traditional methodologies. Students are bringing "in situation" by the adventure, so teachers can get a rigorous assessment of their skills. The Game includes several adventure paths, suitable for different age students. They are focused on scientific topics, humanities, hands-on activities in interdisciplinary way. If used conditions do not allow practical or laboratorial activities provided by the game, players can see some videos to understand the activities. Experimental results were outstanding: the RPG appreciation is in agreement with the experiments outcome. This work experience gets excellent feedbacks by teachers, in terms of efficacy of this new teaching methodology and of results achieving.
