Purpose:This study introduces the Global Education Quality Index(GEQl)to evaluate education quality and development worldwide.We compare strengths and weaknesses across representative countries/regions.Our analysis offers a global snapshot of education quality and provides insights for educational improvement.Design/Approach/Methods:This study pools data from 6l countries/regions from 2009 and 2018,utilizing an"Educational Input-Process-Outcome"framework to construct the GEQl.Comparison of regional education quality is conducted based on GEQI scores.Findings:Overall,the GEQI encompasses three components.First,Quality of Basic Education Assurance assesses basic education accessibility and government investment in educational infrastructure.Second,Quality of School Education Operation evaluates resource allocation and students'academic performance.Third,Quality of Postsecondary Education Development measures educational attainment and development at an advanced and professional level.Furthermore,descriptive analysis indicates that European Union countries consistently dominate the top positions across multiple GEQI sub-indices,while other countries or regions exhibit distinct patterns in specific quality dimensions.These variations may be attributed to differences in cultural contexts,social policy practices,and regional educational reforms.Originality/Nalue:This study introduces a robust quantitative tool for global education quality assessment.The GEQI maps the global education landscape and offers actionable insights into systemic educational improvements. 展开更多

Lecturer’s capacity has been evaluated using different parameters in Assosa University, Ethiopia. Mandatorily, lecturers are evaluated using printed check list. For the last few years we observed that, the lecturer efficiency score is found on the shelf and not checked by anyone to know the gaps and to establish follow-up system. The use of intranet based web system is better to use lecturer’s efficiency result to monitor their performance and to establish follow-up mechanism. In this study, a prototype of web based yearbook efficiency management system for evaluating and monitoring the performance of lecturers was designed and developed. The evaluation process in the system was presented according to the university evaluation format. The output generated by the proposed system can be used by lecturers, HoD, HRM and academic managers to monitor teaching performance.</span> </div> 展开更多

This sphere forces us to implement new methods and approaches in everyday learning process. The following academic research done on psycho-pedagogical sphere in higher education showed that the enhancement in the educational system is developing slowly because of the lack of research. By all means, it is the right time to follow the objectives and try to develop and suggest the current teaching process using technology that of course will be based on the development of quality control and thesaurus-agency approaches. As mentioned in Bolkan and Goodboy, their research showed that teachers who promote intellectual stimulation empower and enrich students both cognitive and affective getting knowledge and experience process in the classroom. The main objective of current experiment is that it suggests intellectual stimulation which is linked to intrinsic motivation, and that intrinsic motivation has all the advantages to influence students' use of effective studying behaviors. According to Dunlosky, Marsh, Nathan, Willingham and Rawson, there are specific techniques which can influence on the overall process of higher education. 展开更多

The scale of higher vocational education in China is expanding,and the problem of education quality has become the focus of general concern in all aspects of society.Promoting the improvement of education quality within higher vocational colleges and universities is an important way to realise the high-quality development of higher vocational education.Based on the stakeholder theory,we constructed afive-dimensional conceptual model of the factors influencing the improvement of the quality of education within higher vocational colleges,and used SPSS27.0 software to conduct an empirical study on the teacher groups and student groups within 13 higher vocational colleges in Hainan Province.The results show that there are different degrees of differences in the dimensions of governance level,education and teaching,industry-education integration,student development and policy protection among groups of teachers of different genders,titles,ages,academic qualifications and subject disciplines,and among groups of students of different genders and admission modes;teacher groups and student groups have different degrees of perceived differences in the effect of internal education quality improvement.In order to promote the improvement of internal education quality in higher vocational colleges and universities,it is necessary to improve the construction of modern university system to raise the level of gover-nance,deepen the industry-education integration in order to innovate the mode of education and training of talents,promote the development of the whole chain of education to improve the overall quality of students,strengthen the construction of teachers to deepen the reform of education and teaching,and innovate the internal education policies and systems in order to regulate the order of management. 展开更多
