Objectives: This study was aimed to document the comparison of menopausal-related symptoms among educated and non educated women of Rawalpindi, Pakistan. Methods: MRS was used to measure the intensity of menopausal symptoms. 100 educated and 100 uneducated women were selected for study purpose. Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences, Military Hospital and Combined Military Hospital were selected as a study setting. Findings: Correlation & Fisher exact test was applied for statistical analysis. The intensity of symptoms reported by Educated women as: sleeping problems (93.0%);heart discomfort (80.0%);hot flushes and sweating (70.0%);joint and muscular pain (52.0);depressive mood (63.0%);irritability (42%);anxiety (60.0%). physical and mental exhaustion;(48.0%);sexual problem (61.0%);dryness of vagina (57.0%);and bladder problem (65.0%). The severity of symptoms in uneducated women;sleeping problems (77.0%);heart discomfort (73.0%);hot flushes (69.0%);joint and muscular pain (66.0);depressive mood (71.0%);irritability (58%);anxiety (80.0%). physical and mental exhaustion (70.0%);sexual problem (66.0%);dryness of vagina (70.0%);and bladder problem (83.0%). Conclusions: Somatic symptoms were high in educated women as compare to uneducated women while the prevalence of psychological and Urogenital symptoms were high in uneducated women as compare to educated women.展开更多
Floating population plays an important role in the development of cities,regions,and countries.The economic growth path with Guangdong characteristics is inseparable from the support of highly educated groups.Studying...Floating population plays an important role in the development of cities,regions,and countries.The economic growth path with Guangdong characteristics is inseparable from the support of highly educated groups.Studying the long-term residence intention of the highly educated floating population is helpful for the city to attract and retain talents.From the perspective of social integration,using CMDS 2017 data and taking Guangdong Province for example,this paper studies the influencing factors of long-term residence intention through SPSS logistic regression,taking intra-provincial and inter-provincial floating population with a bachelor’s degree or above as sample.The main conclusions are:(1)Marital and childbearing status is the primitive influencing factor of long-term residence intention among intra-provincial and inter-provincial floating population.Samples with high income,under social insurance system,being female and having non-agricultural hukou,are tend to prefer long-term residence.Samples who connect with the locals and participate in social public welfare are more likely to stay.(2)Personal age and city livability have a significant positive impact on the long-term residence intention of the inter-provincial highly educated floating population,but agricultural hukou and self-employed laborer status will weaken the long-term residence intention of this group.(3)Participation in townsmen/alumni association has a positive effect on the long-term residence intention of the intra-provincial highly educated floating population,and connection with outlanders also promotes the long-term residence intention of this group.(4)The long-term residence intention of inter-provincial highly educated floating population is usually based on reality,therefore they pay more attention to the development,changes,and livability of the destination city.However,the long-term residence intention of intra-provincial highly educated floating population is usually based on perception,so they pay more attention to whether they like the city.Compared with intra-provincial flows,inter-provincial flows have higher economic and emotional migration costs,more institutional barriers,and more life adaptation problems.Therefore,the government should introduce targeted measures to promote social integration and improve long-term residence intention.展开更多

Un- fortunately, most discourse within the profession about the term physically ...In the 2013 release of the U.S. National Physical Education Standards the term ＂physically literate＂ replaced ＂physically educated＂. Un- fortunately, most discourse within the profession about the term physically literate occurred primarily after its adoption. While we agree with the spirit and intent of the term, we feel it is essential to discuss not only what has been potentially gained but also lost. In our paper, we illustrate the similarity of the terms physically educated and physically literate and essentially, from a definitional perspective, find little difference--but are these terms interchangeable？ We provide a critical review of the standards and conclude that the change to physical literacy has produced a shift away from psychomotor outcomes to cognitive outcomes. Our concerns about this are many, but most importantly they are about the need to emphasize the ＂physical＂ in physical education （PE）. It is our belief that the key to elevating the profession and maintaining and increasing support for PE is in its ability to promote and provide physical activity. Without physical activity and physical fitness as main outcomes, PE increases its vulnerability to extinction as a standard part of the U.S. K-12 education curriculum.展开更多
Aim:Review the impact of master's-educated nurses on inpatient care in different healthcare systems and specialties.Background:Improved healthcare service quality and efficiency are needed due to a number of facto...Aim:Review the impact of master's-educated nurses on inpatient care in different healthcare systems and specialties.Background:Improved healthcare service quality and efficiency are needed due to a number of factors,including an aging population,advancing medical technology and increasingly complex methods of healthcare delivery.Overcoming these challenges requires nurses with more than a basic nursing education.However,masters training for Chinese nurses is a relatively new development,and,therefore,the cost effectiveness of master's-educated nurses in China and extent to which they contribute to improvements in access to Chinese healthcare services and the quality of those services remains unknown.Method:A systematic review of quantitative studies was conducted using PubMed and the China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI).Studies were included in this review if they met the inclusion criteria.Results:Nine papers met the inclusion criteria and were included in this review.These studies indicated that palliative care,continuity of care,mental health,transition care,post-transplant care and central venous catheter care were improved when patient care was delivered by master's-educated nurses.Conclusion:Developing master's education for nurses may improve the current standard of health care and help meet modern challenges.This topic deserves additional attention at the academic and policy level.This review provides an important reference for Chinese nursing educators and policy makers.展开更多
Objective:This research examines the socio-educational and acculturation experiences of Filipino nurse-migrants within the context of international healthcare systems.It seeks to understand the multifaceted emotional ...Objective:This research examines the socio-educational and acculturation experiences of Filipino nurse-migrants within the context of international healthcare systems.It seeks to understand the multifaceted emotional and professional system-related difficulties they face and how these impact their adaptation strategies and integration processes elsewhere.Methods:A qualitative phenomenological strategy,as described by Colaizzi's 7-step analysis method,was employed.A purposeful sample of 10 Filipino nurses deployed to Saudi Arabia,Oman,the United States,Finland,Australia,Ireland,Norway,and Germany was chosen.Par ticipants took part in video conferencing structured interviews,which were conducted remotely.Manually and using NVivo(Version 15,Lumivero,2024),thematic analysis was conducted to identify impor tant themes from the par ticipants'stories.Results:Seven major themes emerged:(1)emotional and cultural dimensions of guilt,isolation,and professional identity negotiation;(2)language and communication barriers,which comprise code-switching and cultural deference challenges;(3)systematic barriers such as credential recognition,licensing examinations,and bureaucratic obstacles;(4)gaps in clinical practice standards,patient care ethics,and discrepancy;(5)family and finances as motivation and resilience;(6)bridging programs and adaptation to student-centered learning as educational transitions;and(7)cultural adaptation depicts discrimination,the workplace hierarchical order,discerning and pragmatically fluent challenges.Despite systemic inequities,participants demonstrated remarkable adaptability,which was visibly rooted in Filipino cultural values such as pakikisama,utang na loob,and bayanihan.Conclusions:The migration experience of Filipino nurses is associated with profound and emotional changes on professional and cultural levels.While these individuals adapt remarkably well due to their multifaceted resilience,they face unforgiving barriers,including credentialing,cultural,and systemic issues.Policies that foster intercultural understanding alongside psychosocial suppor t and fair recognition of foreign credentials would enhance the positive impact of migrant nurses on international healthcare.These considerations will enhance the integration experience for migrant nurses and have a positive impact on patient care worldwide.展开更多

Large language models(LLMs)show great potential in educational scenarios but face challenges like hallucination,knowledge gaps,and reasoning discontinuities.This study proposes a dynamic knowledge enhancement framewor...Large language models(LLMs)show great potential in educational scenarios but face challenges like hallucination,knowledge gaps,and reasoning discontinuities.This study proposes a dynamic knowledge enhancement framework.By integrating local knowledge graphs and stepwise prompting mechanisms,it improves LLMs’accuracy and interpretability in solving professional domain problems.The framework has two core modules:an LLM-driven knowledge graph construction system for incremental updates and a unified reasoning engine for generating enhanced prompts.Experiments on 680 educational questions show that the method boosts accuracy by 4.5%and 4.3%for multi-step reasoning and knowledge-dependent questions respectively,and increases reasoning step completeness from 68.2%to 83.7%.It also reduces hallucination problems.Key contributions include the followings:①validation of an effective framework synergizing knowledge graphs with retrieval mechanisms to enhance LLM reliability;②a stepwise prompting strategy enforcing explicit reasoning chain generation,addressing pedagogical requirements for process interpretability;③a lightweight deployment solution for educational systems such as adaptive learning platforms.展开更多

The study applied both qualitative and quantitative research methods. The target respondents of the survey questionnaire in the study were instructors, graduates, students, administrative personnel of all higher education institutions. The findings reveal that, institutes of higher education in Eritrea are currently confronting low quality of education, shortage of senior national faculties, dependence on fixed government budget, lack of digitalized governance and weak technology infrastructure. The study concludes that, the higher education institutions after reform achieved commendable results in human resource development, narrowing gender inequality, linkage with domestic and external stakeholders in various areas of cooperation. Moreover, students’ admission rate and enrollment rate increased steadily, academic programs, departments, courses, research projects and consultancy services flourished and the advent of massification in general brought positive returns to Eritrea.展开更多

文摘Objective:This research examines the socio-educational and acculturation experiences of Filipino nurse-migrants within the context of international healthcare systems.It seeks to understand the multifaceted emotional and professional system-related difficulties they face and how these impact their adaptation strategies and integration processes elsewhere.Methods:A qualitative phenomenological strategy,as described by Colaizzi's 7-step analysis method,was employed.A purposeful sample of 10 Filipino nurses deployed to Saudi Arabia,Oman,the United States,Finland,Australia,Ireland,Norway,and Germany was chosen.Par ticipants took part in video conferencing structured interviews,which were conducted remotely.Manually and using NVivo(Version 15,Lumivero,2024),thematic analysis was conducted to identify impor tant themes from the par ticipants'stories.Results:Seven major themes emerged:(1)emotional and cultural dimensions of guilt,isolation,and professional identity negotiation;(2)language and communication barriers,which comprise code-switching and cultural deference challenges;(3)systematic barriers such as credential recognition,licensing examinations,and bureaucratic obstacles;(4)gaps in clinical practice standards,patient care ethics,and discrepancy;(5)family and finances as motivation and resilience;(6)bridging programs and adaptation to student-centered learning as educational transitions;and(7)cultural adaptation depicts discrimination,the workplace hierarchical order,discerning and pragmatically fluent challenges.Despite systemic inequities,participants demonstrated remarkable adaptability,which was visibly rooted in Filipino cultural values such as pakikisama,utang na loob,and bayanihan.Conclusions:The migration experience of Filipino nurses is associated with profound and emotional changes on professional and cultural levels.While these individuals adapt remarkably well due to their multifaceted resilience,they face unforgiving barriers,including credentialing,cultural,and systemic issues.Policies that foster intercultural understanding alongside psychosocial suppor t and fair recognition of foreign credentials would enhance the positive impact of migrant nurses on international healthcare.These considerations will enhance the integration experience for migrant nurses and have a positive impact on patient care worldwide.

文摘In the context of large language model(LLM)reshaping software engineering education,this paper presents OSSerCopilot,a LLM-based tutoring system designed to address the critical challenge faced by newcomers(especially student contributors)in open source software(OSS)communities.Leveraging natural language processing,code semantic understanding,and learner profiling,the system functions as an intelligent tutor to scaffold three core competency domains:contribution guideline interpretation,project architecture comprehension,and personalized task matching.By transforming traditional onboarding barriers-such as complex contribution documentation and opaque project structures-into interactive learning journeys,OSSerCopilot enables newcomers to complete their first OSS contribution more easily and confidently.This paper highlights how LLM technologies can redefine software engineering education by bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical OSS participation,offering implications for curriculum design,competency assessment,and sustainable OSS ecosystem cultivation.A demonstration video of the system is available at https://figshare.com/articles/media/OSSerCopilot_Introduction_mp4/29510276.

文摘Nursing education is undergoing a paradigm shift from skill training to clinical thinking cultivation.The integration of artificial intelligence technology offers technical possibilities for this transformation,but it also brings about a deep tension between the cultivation of humanistic qualities and a standardized training.Based on the analysis of the practical forms of nursing smart education,this paper examines the cognitive gap between the deterministic feedback of virtual simulation systems and the complexity of real clinical scenarios,reveals the potential narrowing effect of data-driven ability profiling on the all-round development of nursing students,and then proposes the design logic of intelligent teaching resources centered on real clinical problems,a hierarchical teaching model with clear human-machine division of labor,and a dynamic assessment mechanism for technology application led by professional nursing teachers,in an attempt to find a balance between technological empowerment and humanistic commitment in smart nursing education.
文摘In the rapidly evolving landscape of digital transformation and industrial integration,higher education faces the challenge of cultivating applied talents equipped with interdisciplinary knowledge,engineering skills,and innovative thinking.Traditional teaching models often fail to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application,resulting in passive learning and limited problem-solving capabilities.This paper proposes a three-dimensional integrated teaching model centered on“Information Technology-Domain Knowledge-Outcome Production”(the“2+2+2”credit framework)to address these challenges.Drawing on constructivist theories,Bloom’s Taxonomy,and the CDIO model,the framework uses real projects to drive learning,facilitating the seamless integration of theoretical teaching and practical innovation.The model emphasizes tiered teaching objectives and interdisciplinary pathways,supported by dynamic assessment systems that track students’growth in knowledge,skills,and abilities.Applied in smart health and financial technology domains,this approach enhances students’comprehensive capabilities,aligning educational outcomes with industry demands.This study offers replicable strategies for educational reform in new engineering disciplines,aiming to transform students into proactive innovators and versatile talents.

文摘Large language models(LLMs)show great potential in educational scenarios but face challenges like hallucination,knowledge gaps,and reasoning discontinuities.This study proposes a dynamic knowledge enhancement framework.By integrating local knowledge graphs and stepwise prompting mechanisms,it improves LLMs’accuracy and interpretability in solving professional domain problems.The framework has two core modules:an LLM-driven knowledge graph construction system for incremental updates and a unified reasoning engine for generating enhanced prompts.Experiments on 680 educational questions show that the method boosts accuracy by 4.5%and 4.3%for multi-step reasoning and knowledge-dependent questions respectively,and increases reasoning step completeness from 68.2%to 83.7%.It also reduces hallucination problems.Key contributions include the followings:①validation of an effective framework synergizing knowledge graphs with retrieval mechanisms to enhance LLM reliability;②a stepwise prompting strategy enforcing explicit reasoning chain generation,addressing pedagogical requirements for process interpretability;③a lightweight deployment solution for educational systems such as adaptive learning platforms.

文摘This paper discusses how the literature was created based on the experiences of the ＂Educated Youth＂ in the reform and opening-up era. Firstly, the author summarizes the network and literary activities of the Educated Youth. Second, he analyzes the poetry of literary magazines that they expressed their own experiences in the reform era, and thirdly, he discusses the trial by the magazine＇s editorial staff to describe their experiences in fiction and its difficulties. Furthermore, this paper examines the origin of Chinese literature on 198os, especially the origin of modernism literature in China.

文摘This study intends to address the advent of higher education massification in Eritrea following the restructuring of higher education in 2004-2005. The study applied both qualitative and quantitative research methods. The target respondents of the survey questionnaire in the study were instructors, graduates, students, administrative personnel of all higher education institutions. The findings reveal that, institutes of higher education in Eritrea are currently confronting low quality of education, shortage of senior national faculties, dependence on fixed government budget, lack of digitalized governance and weak technology infrastructure. The study concludes that, the higher education institutions after reform achieved commendable results in human resource development, narrowing gender inequality, linkage with domestic and external stakeholders in various areas of cooperation. Moreover, students’ admission rate and enrollment rate increased steadily, academic programs, departments, courses, research projects and consultancy services flourished and the advent of massification in general brought positive returns to Eritrea.

文摘In a world growing ever more cruel and violent as nihilism becomes generalized,a world in which the disintegration of the human assumes dimensions that threaten its very cohesion,the demand for the humanization of the Western individual asserts itself as an urgent historical task.Among the institutions implicated in this process,education assumes a central role,as it is within it that wonder and critical thinking are gradually eliminated,together with the demand for shared deliberation,coherent meaning,and the tragic dimension of human existence,while an education of cruelty comes to permeate it from end to end.In order to prevent the full entrenchment of evil in the social world,from which only destruction can be expected,a decisive role could be played by caring thinking that would be coordinated with corresponding action and would come to deeply characterize the educational institution.Such a form of thinking was proposed in the second half of the twentieth century and took flesh and bones within the framework of the Philosophy for Children movement.Its contemporary application within educational practice could reactivate phronesis(practical wisdom)and contribute to enabling the Western human being to re-create themselves as a democratic human being-one who desires the creation of a world of freedom,equality,and justice,and who acts accordingly to bring it about:the creation of a compassionate and prudent world,the preservation of which would be the responsibility of all.
