High-frequency magnetic materials are crucial for realizing anti-electromagnetic interference in GHz communication devices and electronic equipment.Current mainstream strategy to enhance highfrequency magnetic losses is shape anisotropy, and it is still difficult to obtain an improvement in intrinsic magnetic loss through electronic structure design. In this paper, the effects of 4f-3d interaction between Er and Fe/Co on magnetic moment, charge migration, and spin polarization were investigated based on density functional theory(DFT).The results show that Er 4f-Fe 3d orbitals undergo significant hybridization at around-4 eV,which increase the electronic locality of Fe and enhance the spin of Fe from 2.86 h/2 to 2.91 h/2.The Fe_(0.5-x)Co_(0.5)Er_(x)(0≤x≤0.05)alloys were further prepared by vacuum induction melting and mechanical alloying methods. The saturation magnetization intensity(Ms)increases from 0.141 to 0.182 A·m^(2)/g with increasing Er content. The μ"of Fe_(0.47)Co_(0.5)Er_(0.03)at 16.7 GHz increases from 0.55 to 0.93,and the frequency range over which tanδ_μvalues are greater than 0.5covers 8.0-18.0 GHz,with the maximum value being 0.83 at 17.0 GHz.These results indicate that the Fe_(0.5-x)Co_(0.5)Er_(x)/paraffin composite materials have excellent high-frequency magnetic losses and are promising candidates in the field of microwave-absorbing materials. 展开更多

The interaction between geogrid and soil is crucial for the stability of geogrid-reinforced earth structure. In finite element (FE) analysis, geogrids are usually assumed as beam or truss elements, and the interaction between geogrid and soil is considered as Coulomb friction resistance, which cannot reflect the true stress and displacement developed in the reinlbrcement. And the traditional Lagrangian elements used to simulate soil always become highly distorted and lose accuracy in high-stress blocks. An improved geogrid model that can produce shear resistance and passive resistance and a soil model using the Eulerian technique, in combination with the coupled Eulerian-Lagrangian (CEL) method, are used to analyze the interaction between geogrid and soil of reinforced foundation test in ABAQUS. The stress in the backfill, resistance of geogrid, and settlement of foundation were computed and the results of analysis agree well with the experimental results. This simulation method is of referential value for FE analysis of reinforced earth structure. 展开更多

In this paper,we present a novel data-driven design method for the human-robot interaction(HRI)system, where a given task is achieved by cooperation between the human and the robot. The presented HRI controller design is a two-level control design approach consisting of a task-oriented performance optimization design and a plant-oriented impedance controller design. The task-oriented design minimizes the human effort and guarantees the perfect task tracking in the outer-loop,while the plant-oriented achieves the desired impedance from the human to the robot manipulator end-effector in the inner-loop.Data-driven reinforcement learning techniques are used for performance optimization in the outer-loop to assign the optimal impedance parameters. In the inner-loop,a velocity-free filter is designed to avoid the requirement of end-effector velocity measurement. On this basis,an adaptive controller is designed to achieve the desired impedance of the robot manipulator in the task space. The simulation and experiment of a robot manipulator are conducted to verify the efficacy of the presented HRI design framework. 展开更多

Corrosion of reinforcement has a significant effect on the deformation of reinforced concrete beams by deteriorating the bond-slip characteristics, diminishing the cross-sectional area of reinforcement, and causing cracking. The traditional way of quantifying the load capacity and simulating deflection is the moment-curvature(M/χ) approach. The problem is that the M/χ approach is semi-empirical after cracking as it is strain-based and cannot allow for tension stiffening. This paper introduces the new displacement-based moment-rotation(M/θ) approach which directly simulates the development of cracks and hence allows for tension stiffening. This M/θ approach is then used to predict the load-deflection behavior of reinforced concrete beams with corrosion effect by incorporating the corrosion-affected bond-slip model. The bond-slip model only considers the corrosion effect but ignores the confinement effect. It is used here as an example to describe the procedure of how to quantify the corrosion effect on reinforced concrete beam behavior. The load-deflection curves obtained from the numerical simulation show a good agreement with test results. For reinforced concrete beams with confinement, the only difference is to replace the bond-slip model with the one which includes both corrosion and stirrup effects. Additionally, the paper shows how to use the M/θ approach with the bond-slip model to predict the real corrosion level of reinforcement in some tests in which only the theoretical corrosion levels are provided. 展开更多

The model of dislocations was used to construct the model of grain boundary (GB) with pure rare earths, and rare earth elements and impurities. The influence of the interaction between rare earth elements and impurities on the cohesive properties of 5.3° low angle GB of Fe was investigated by the recursion method. The calculated results of environment sensitive embeding energy( E ESE ) show that the preferential segregation of rare earth elements towards GBs exists. Calculations of bond order integrals (BOI) show that rare earth elements increase the cohesive strength of low angle GB, and impurities such as S, P weaken the intergranular cohesion of the GB. So rare earth element of proper quantity added in steel not only cleanses other harmful impurities off the GBs, but also enhances the intergranular cohesion. This elucidates the action mechanism of rare earth elements in steel from electronic level and offers theoretical evidence for applications of rare earth elements in steels. 展开更多

As demonstrated by a great amount of geologic and experimental evidences, RE of rock systems may be mobilized during fluid-rock interaction when solutions are rich in F -, Cl -, CO 3 2-, HCO 3 -, CO 2, HPO 4 2-, HS -, S 2-, SO 4 2-, though little has been known about the mobilizing mechanism of these anions or ligands. The fractionation of RE resulted from hydrothermal alterations, i. e., fluid-rock interactions, are distinctive. One set of field data implies the preferential mobility of the LRE, while another set of field observations demonstrates the dominant mobilization of the HRE, and some theoretical prediction is not consistent with the field evidence. The Eu anomalies caused by fluid-rock interaction are complex and compelling explanation is not available due to inadequate experimental approaches. To know the exact behavior of RE during fluid-rock interaction and to solve the contradiction between some theoretical predictions and field observations, the following works remain to be done: (1) experimental investigations of RE mobility and fractionation as a function of fluid chemistry, e.g., the activity of F -, Cl -, CO 3 2-, HCO 3 -, CO 2, HPO 4 2-, HS -, S 2-, SO 4 2-, etc.; (2) experimental determination of RE mobility and fractionation as a function of T, P, pH, E h and water/rock ratios; (3) investigation of the mechanism and the controlling factors of RE partitioning between hydrothermal minerals and fluids. It was demonstrated that RE mobility is a potentially useful method for exploration. 展开更多

The intermetallic compounds formation at interface between rare earth elements and clad material were investigated to demonstrate the effects of rare earth elements on fuel-cladding chemical interaction (FCCI) behavior. Mischmetal (70Ce-30La) and Nd were prepared as rare earth elements. Diffusion couple testing was performed on the rare earth elements and cladding (9Cr2W steel) near the operation temperature of (sodium-cooled fast reactor) SFR fuel. The performance of a diffusion barrier consisting of Zr and V metallic foil against the rare earth elements was also evaluated. Our results showed that Ce and Nd in the rare earth elements and Fe in the clad material interdiffused and reacted to form intermetallic species according to the parabolic rate law, describing the migration of the rare earth element. The diffusion of Fe limited the reaction progress such that the entire process was governed by the cubic rate law. Rare earth materials could be used as a surrogate for high burnup metallic fuels, and the performance of the barrier material was demonstrated to be effective. 展开更多

Low Earth orbit(LEO)satellite networks exhibit distinct characteristics,e.g.,limited resources of individual satellite nodes and dynamic network topology, which have brought many challenges for routing algorithms. To satisfy quality of service(QoS)requirements of various users,it is critical to research efficient routing strategies to fully utilize satellite resources. This paper proposes a multi-QoS information optimized routing algorithm based on reinforcement learning for LEO satellite networks, which guarantees high level assurance demand services to be prioritized under limited satellite resources while considering the load balancing performance of the satellite networks for low level assurance demand services to ensure the full and effective utilization of satellite resources. An auxiliary path search algorithm is proposed to accelerate the convergence of satellite routing algorithm.Simulation results show that the generated routing strategy can timely process and fully meet the QoS demands of high assurance services while effectively improving the load balancing performance of the link. 展开更多

Back-to-back mechanically stabilized earth walls (BBMSEWs) are encountered in bridge approaches, ramp ways, rockfall protection systems, earth dams, levees and noise barriers. However, available design guidelines for BBMSEWs are limited and not applicable to numerical modeling when back-to-back walls interact with each other. The objective of this paper is to investigate, using PLAXIS code, the effects of the reduction in the distance between BBMSEW, the reinforcement length, the quality of backfill material and the connection of reinforcements in the middle, when the back-to-back walls are close. The results indicate that each of the BBMSEWs behaves independently if the width of the embankment between mechanically stabilized earth walls is greater than that of the active zone. This is in good agreement with the result of FHWA design guideline. However, the results show that the FHWA design guideline underestimates the lateral earth pressure when back-to-back walls interact with each other. Moreover, for closer BBMSEWs, FHWA design guideline strongly overestimates the maximum tensile force in the reinforcement. The investigation of the quality of backfill material shows that the minor increase in embankment cohesion can lead to significant reductions in both the lateral earth pressure and the maximum tensile force in geosynthetic. When the distance between the two earth walls is close to zero, the connection of reinforcement between back-to-back walls significantly improves the factor of safety. 展开更多

The mechanism of interaction relation between the rare-earth element Ce and elements Pb and Bi in Ag-based filler metal has been studied. The results show that the compounds CePb and CeBi with high melting point can be easily produced between these three elements in the filler metal, which greatly limited the formation of the isolated phase Pb or Bi and also eliminated the bad effect of impurity elements Pb and Bi on the spreading property of Ag-based filler metal. In this paper, the interaction parameters in the subregular solution model, λ1 and λ2, are regarded as a linear function of temperature, T. Therefore, the molar excess Gibbs energy of A-B binary system may be reexpressed as follows:Gm^E=xAxB[(λ11+λ12T)+(λ21+λ22T)xB]The calculation of the model parameters, λ11, λ12, λ21and λ22, was carried out numerically from the phase diagrams for 11 alkali metal-alkali halide or alkali earth metal-halide systems. In addition, artificial neural network trained by known data has been used to predict the values of these model parameters. The predicted results are in good agreement with the .calculated ones. The applicability of the subregular solution model to the alkali metal-alkali halide or alkali earth metal-halide systems were tested by comparing the available experimental composition along the boundary of miscibility gap with the calculated ones which were obtained by using genetic algorithm. The good agreement between the calculated and experimental results across the entire liquidus is valid evidence in support of the model. 展开更多

Information spreading has been investigated for many years, but the mechanism of why the information explosively catches on overnight is still under debate. This explosive spreading phenomenon was usually considered driven separately by social reinforcement or higher-order interactions. However, due to the limitations of empirical data and theoretical analysis, how the higher-order network structure affects the explosive information spreading under the role of social reinforcement has not been fully explored. In this work,we propose an information-spreading model by considering the social reinforcement in real and synthetic higher-order networks, describable as hypergraphs.Depending on the average group size(hyperedge cardinality)and node membership(hyperdegree),we observe two different spreading behaviors:(i)The spreading progress is not sensitive to social reinforcement, resulting in the information localized in a small part of nodes;(ii)a strong social reinforcement will promote the large-scale spread of information and induce an explosive transition. Moreover,a large average group size and membership would be beneficial to the appearance of the explosive transition.Further,we display that the heterogeneity of the node membership and group size distributions benefit the information spreading. Finally,we extend the group-based approximate master equations to verify the simulation results. Our findings may help us to comprehend the rapidly information-spreading phenomenon in modern society. 展开更多

Rare earths in ores, altered and unaltered sericite phyllite, altered and unaltered dacite porphyry were determined in order to examine behaviors of rare earths in hydrothermal alteration associating with ore-forming processes of Yinshan deposit. It is not sufficient to show the mobility only by the absolute abundance of trace elements changes before and after alteration. This can simply result from dilution or concentration if other elements are added to or removed from the rock. As shown by that in Yinshan deposit, less than 20% of the increment of RE was caused by the 'condensed' of leaching some of major elements (e.g. Si, Na) from the rock. The principal factor which should be responsible for the higher contents of RE in altered rock is the addition of RE into the rock by hydrothermal fluids. Eu is selectively leached from the altered sericite phyllite by a mild acidity and reducing fluid which is characterized by much lower LRE/HRE ratio and a large positive Eu anomaly. A major effect on the RE patterns is the tendency to develop relatively flatter chondrite-normalized patterns. The RE characteristics may be used to distinguish between small and large ore bodies at a later stage of exploration. 展开更多

Low earth orbit (LEO) satellite networkscan provide wider service coverage and lower latencythan traditional terrestrial networks, which haveattracted considerable attention. However, the unevendistribution of human population and data trafficon the ground incurs unbalanced traffic load inLEO satellite networks. To this end, we proposea load-balancing routing algorithm for LEO satellitenetworks based on ant colony optimization and reinforcementlearning. In the ant colony algorithm,we improve the pheromone update rule by introducingload-aware heuristic information, e.g., the currentnode transmission overhead, delay and load status, andreinforcement learning-based link quality evaluation. It enables the routing algorithm to select the lightlyloaded node as the next hop to balance the networkload. We simulate and verify the proposed algorithmusing the NS2 simulation platform, and the resultsshow that our algorithm improves the data delivery ratioand throughput while ensuring lower latency andtransmission overhead. 展开更多

In this work,a numerical study of the effects of soil-structure interaction(SSI)and granular material-structure interaction(GSI)on the nonlinear response and seismic capacity of flat-bottomed storage silos is conducted.A series of incremental dynamic analyses(IDA)are performed on a case of large reinforced concrete silo using 10 seismic recordings. The IDA results are given by two average IDA capacity curves, which are represented,as well as the seismic capacity of the studied structure, with and without a consideration of the SSI while accounting for the effect of GSI.These curves are used to quantify and evaluate the damage of the studied silo by utilizing two damage indices, one based on dissipated energy and the other on displacement and dissipated energy. The cumulative energy dissipation curves obtained by the average IDA capacity curves with and without SSI are presented as a function of the base shear, and these curves allow one to obtain the two critical points and the different limit states of the structure. It is observed that the SSI and GSI significantly influence the seismic response and capacity of the studied structure, particularly at higher levels of PGA.Moreover, the effect of the SSI reduces the damage index of the studied structure by 4%. 展开更多

Refractories have an important effect on the cleanliness of molten steel. The interaction between CeAlO_(3) refractories and Ce treated steel was explored and compared with that between Al_(2)O_(3) refractories and Ce treated steel. The results show that the Ce content in steel decreases sharply after contact with Al_(2)O_(3) refractories and the pick-up of dissolved Al occurs.Compared with the test of Al_(2)O_(3) refractories, the loss of Ce content is less in the test of CeAlO_(3) refractory, and the total oxygen content and dissolved Al content in steel increase less. The dense and continuous Ce_(2)O_(2)S interface layer is observed at the CeAlO_(3) refractories/steel interface, which can serve as the metallurgical isolation layer and hinder the further interaction between refractories and steel. Therefore, the higher steel cleanliness and less penetration of refractories by molten steel are obtained in the test of CeAlO_(3) refractories. The CeAlO_(3) refractories show a promising prospect in the production of clean Ce treated steel. 展开更多
