In addition, we have deeply investigated the real-time spectral evolutions of the mode-locked pulses through the dispersive Fourier transformation(DFT) technique. It can be found that the pulse regime can actually consist of a lot of small noise pulses with randomly varying intensities. We believe that these results will further enrich the nonlinear dynamical processes in the ultrafast lasers.展开更多

Bisphenol A(BPA)is an industrial pollutant that can cause immune impairment.Selenium acts as an antioxidant,as selenium deficiency often accompanies oxidative stress,resulting in organ damage.This study is the first t...Bisphenol A(BPA)is an industrial pollutant that can cause immune impairment.Selenium acts as an antioxidant,as selenium deficiency often accompanies oxidative stress,resulting in organ damage.This study is the first to demonstrate that BPA and/or selenium deficiency induce pyroptosis and ferroptosis-mediated thymic injury in chicken and chicken lymphoma cell(MDCC-MSB-1)via oxidative stress-induced endoplasmic reticulum(ER)stress.We established a broiler chicken model of BPA and/or selenium deficiency exposure and collected thymus samples as research subjects after 42 days.The results demonstrated that BPA or selenium deficiency led to a decrease in antioxidant enzyme activities(T-AOC,CAT,and GSH-Px),accumulation of peroxides(H2O2 and MDA),significant upregulation of ER stress-relatedmarkers(GRP78,IER 1,PERK,EIF-2α,ATF4,and CHOP),a significant increase in iron ion levels,significant upregulation of pyroptosis-related gene(NLRP3,ASC,Caspase1,GSDMD,IL-18 and IL-1β),significantly increase ferroptosis-related genes(TFRC,COX2)and downregulate GPX4,HO-1,FTH,NADPH.In vitro experiments conducted in MDCC-MSB-1 cells confirmed the results,demonstrating that the addition of antioxidant(NAC),ER stress inhibitor(TUDCA)and pyroptosis inhibitor(Vx765)alleviated oxidative stress,endoplasmic reticulum stress,pyroptosis,and ferroptosis.Overall,this study concludes that the combined effects of oxidative stress and ER stress mediate pyroptosis and ferroptosis in chicken thymus induced by BPA exposure and selenium deficiency.展开更多
The synchronous enhancement mechanism of the mechanical properties and degradation rate of as-extruded Mg−xEr−1.6Ni alloys(x=17,12,and 9.5,wt.%)was investigated by controlling Er content.Results indicate that,as the E...The synchronous enhancement mechanism of the mechanical properties and degradation rate of as-extruded Mg−xEr−1.6Ni alloys(x=17,12,and 9.5,wt.%)was investigated by controlling Er content.Results indicate that,as the Er content decreases,the overall content and the distribution of secondary phases did not change evidently,while the type of the secondary phases changed from single long-period stacking ordered(LPSO)phase to coexistence of the LPSO phase andγ'phase.Notably,the tensile yield strength(TYS)and degradation rate of the Mg alloy with a lower Er content(i.e.,Mg−9.5Er−1.6Ni alloy)are increased by 22.3%and 51.5%respectively compared to those of the Mg alloy with a higher Er content(i.e.,Mg−17Er−1.6Ni).The enhancement of mechanical properties of the Mg alloy with a lower Er content is attributed to the formation ofγ'phase,which can refine the grain size by inhibiting dynamic recrystallization,leading to enhanced TYS by secondary phase and grain boundary strengthening.Meanwhile,finer grains and theγ'phase also provide more corrosion sites and inhibit the formation of corrosion-resistant Er_(2)O_(3)film,thereby accelerating the corrosion of Mg alloy.展开更多
BACKGROUND Gastric cancer is a growing clinical challenge,particularly due to the increased risk of postoperative gastroesophageal reflux disease(GERD)following surgical treatment.traditional Chinese medicine(TCM),inc...BACKGROUND Gastric cancer is a growing clinical challenge,particularly due to the increased risk of postoperative gastroesophageal reflux disease(GERD)following surgical treatment.traditional Chinese medicine(TCM),including acupuncture and herbal medicine,has been proposed as an adjunctive therapy to promote gastrointestinal recovery and alleviate GERD symptoms.AIM To retrospectively study the clinical efficacy of modified Lou Bei Er Chen decoction combined with acupuncture in treating patients with GERD after radical gastrectomy due to gastric cancer.METHODS A retrospective study was conducted,including patients with gastric cancer or malignant tumors of the stomach from January 2019 to December 2023 in the Affiliated Taizhou People’s Hospital of Nanjing Medical University.Patients with a TCM diagnosis of qi depression and phlegm obstruction(n=128)were selected on the basis of prescription and treatment principles.They were then divided into a control group(n=61)and an observation group(n=67).The control group received treatment with Western medicine domperidone.The observation group were treated with Lou Bei Er Chen decoction orally,with acupuncture at specific RESULTS The observation group showed significantly shorter times for first flatus,defecation,bowel sound recovery,and initiation of nasogastric enteral nutrition than the control group(P<0.05).Upon treatment,the two groups demonstrated a significant reduction in gastrointestinal dysfunction scores,with a more significant reduction in the observation group(P<0.001).The GERD-Q scores significantly decreased after 8 weeks of treatment in the two groups(P<0.05),with a significant reduction in the observation group(P<0.05),compared with baseline.The TCM syndrome scores significantly decreased after 4 and 8 weeks of treatment in the two groups(P<0.05),with a significant reduction in the observation group(P<0.05).The effective rate of the observation group after 8 weeks of treatment was significantly higher than that after 4 weeks(χ2=13.648,P=0.003),and it was significantly higher than that of control group(χ2=13.879,P=0.003).CONCLUSION Lou Bei Er Chen decoction combined with acupuncture treatment can effectively alleviate clinical symptoms in patients GERD after gastric cancer surgery and improve their life quality.It is worthy of further promotion and application.展开更多
We demonstrate the growth,thermal,spectroscopy and laser performance of an Er3+doped Gdo.iYo.9AlO3(Er:GYAP)disorder crystal grown by Czochralski method.The crystal with space group Pbnm and lattice parameters of a=0.5...We demonstrate the growth,thermal,spectroscopy and laser performance of an Er3+doped Gdo.iYo.9AlO3(Er:GYAP)disorder crystal grown by Czochralski method.The crystal with space group Pbnm and lattice parameters of a=0.5185 nm,b=0.5327 nm,c=0.7378 nm,α=β=90°and V=0.203784 nm3 are obtained by fitting powder X-ray diffraction data.The Mohr's hardnesses along three axes are 6.94,7.27,and 7.44.The thermal expansion coefficient of b axis is 4.20×10^(-6)k^(-1)and the density is 5.88 g/cm3.The thermal conductivities are characterized as K_(a)=6.24,K_(b)=5.57,and K_(c)=6.83 W/(m·K).Meanwhile,the refractive index,absorption and emission spectra in triaxial di-rections are determined.Besides,level lifetimes of 4l11/2 and 413/2 are 0.86 and 2.83 ms.Finally,the~2.7μm multiwavelength laser outputs are observed with maximum average power of 628 mW and beam quality factors M_(x)^(2)/M_(y)^(2) of 1.42/1.45.The results prove that the Er:GYAP crystal is a promising gain medium for generating mid-infrared lasers.展开更多
