文摘Background:Parenting exerts a profound influence on children’s mental health and behavioral development.Despite the high prevalence of children’s emotional and behavioral problems(CEBP)in China,evidence-based parenting interventions remain scarcely investigated as preventive public health strategies. This pilot study evaluated a school-based intervention for preventing CEBP.Methods:We employed a quasi-experimental design with propensity score matching(PSM)to select 28 families(intervention:n=13;control:n=15)from two matched urban primary schools.Quantitative data from seven validated scales were analyzed using t-tests and ANCOVA.Qualitative insights were derived from 10 semi-structured interviews via thematic analysis. Results:Compared to the control group, the intervention group demonstrated significantly greater improvements in CEBP(p=0.020,Cohen’s d=0.92),parental adjustment(p=0.031,Cohen’s d=0.80),parenting confidence(p=0.003,Cohen’s d=1.04),and parentchild relationships(p=0.001,Cohen’s d=1.46).Non-significant effects were observed for parenting style, parental relationship, and parenting conflict(p>0.05).Qualitative analysis corroborated these findings and further identified contributing factors for non-significant outcomes, including challengeswithmeasurement adaptability and inconsistent co-parenting practices. Conclusions:This pilot study suggests that an authoritative parenting style may be effective and culturally adaptable in China.Positive parenting interventions appear to mitigate CEBP by reducing risk factors and enhancing protective factors. However, improving parental relationships and parenting conflict may require targeted strategies.Given the pilot nature of this PSM-matched study(n=28),the findings should be interpreted as exploratory and used primarily for intervention refinement.
文摘This study examines the interaction between emotional states(anxiety and depression)and tinnitus severity in individuals undergoing a four-month sound therapy intervention.43 participants(28 males and 15 females)of a study on four-month sound therapy of tinnitus were recruited and their tinnitus severity(Tinnitus Handicap Inventory,THI,and Tinnitus Functional Index,TFI)and emotional state(Hospitalary Anxiety and Depression Scale,HADS)were assessed before and after finishing the treatment. The participants, predominantly with moderate tinnitus, showed a significant reduction in tinnitus-related distress, with a mean reduction of approximately 30 points on both the THI and the TFI.Analysis revealed significant gender differences, with women experiencing higher baseline tinnitus distress but higher response to sound therapy.Emotional state assessments revealed moderate levels of anxiety and depression at baseline, which decreased significantly after therapy, particularly in women.Correlational analyses revealed a strong relationship between changes in emotional state and tinnitus severity, with reductions in anxiety and depression associated with improved tinnitus outcomes. The results highlight the complex relationship between emotional well-being and tinnitus severity and underline the potential of sound therapy to alleviate both emotional distress and tinnitus symptoms.

文摘Although numerousfindings show that people experience both positive and negative experiences with regards to solitude, the relationship between solitude capacity and emotional experience remains unclear. The current study investigated the extent to which emotion regulation may play a suppressive role in the relationship between solitude capacity and emotional experience.Questionnaires on solitude capacity, emotion regulation, and emotional experience were completed by a sample of Chinese college students(n=844;432 females;Meanage=19.79 years,SD=1.43 years). The results of the indirect effect test showed that cognitive reappraisal suppresses the prediction of solitude capacity on positive emotions, while the solitude capacity prediction of negative emotions was suppressed by both cognitive reappraisal and expressive suppression. This suggests that solitude capacity does not predict emotional experience directly, but instead is realized through an antagonistic system consisting of adaptive and nonadaptive emotion regulation strategies.Thesefindings provide cross-sectional empirical support for the ecological niche hypothesis of solitude, and are of theoretical significance in clarifying the role of internal mechanisms of solitude capacity on the human emotional experience.
文摘In the wave of internet culture, short videos have become an indispensable medium for social communication. The metaphorical hot words contained within them serve as a unique linguistic phenomenon that leads topics and focuses attention, greatly enriching the expressive layers and rhetorical charm of short videos, and significantly enhancing the video’s theme orientation and emotional identification. This research aims to explore the relationship between the use of metaphorical Internet buzzwords in short videos and the thematic and emotional orientation. The study adopts a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods, taking 10 videos with over 10,000 likes posted by a well-known blogger on Xiaohongshu in 2024 as the research object, transcribing the text, forming research corpora, and conducting multi-dimensional cognitive analysis on them. The study shows that about half of short videos contain metaphorical hot words.Different types of metaphorical hot words can trigger different emotional reactions from fans, especially humorous metaphorical hot words that can stimulate fans’emotional identification and resonance. In addition,in terms of fan participation, videos using metaphorical hot words tend to attract more fan attention than those that do not:these videos not only attract more fans to watch and like, but also trigger more comments and sharing behaviors. In summary, short videos cleverly use metaphors to create internet hot words, significantly enhancing the video’s thematic guidance and emotional resonance, manifested in creating popular topics, clarifying guiding themes, enhancing content attractiveness, and stimulating strong emotional identification, thereby promoting interactive behaviors such as likes and shares. These findings provide a reference for research in related fields such as metaphor, communication studies, and sociology.
文摘Rapid technological advancements are driving embodied intelligent robots from laboratories to real-life applications to serve as a key force reshaping the future way of life.Like many other revolutionary technologies, while sparking utopian visions of the future, the development of embodied intelligence has aroused concerns about safety risks, emotional ethics, and socio-cultural implications.
文摘Narrative nursing(NN)is emerging as a critical approach in modern healthcare, addressing the complex interplay between psychological well-being and physical recovery. This manuscript discusses a study on NN and its role in alleviating psychological distress in patients with acute pancreatitis, published in the World Journal of Psychiatry.Their research demonstrates that NN,through structured storytelling, significantly reduces anxiety and depression, thereby enhancing patient satisfaction and fostering emotional resilience. This therapeutic approach extends beyond symptom management, offering a comprehensive strategy that supports the mental and emotional recovery of patients facing severe health challenges.NN provides a unique framework for engaging patients in their care journey, promoting a sense of agency, and strengthening the patient-provider relationship. In this manuscript,we explore the broader implications of NN by synthesizing findings from various studies, showing that NN is effective not only in acute settings but also in oncology, chronic illness management, and palliative care. The evidence indicates that integrating NN into standard clinical practice could enhance healthcare outcomes by addressing the holistic needs of patients, supporting psychological resilience, and fostering a compassionate healthcare environment.

文摘In robotics and human-robot interaction,a robot’s capacity to express and react correctly to human emotions is essential.A significant aspect of the capability involves controlling the robotic facial skin actuators in a way that resonates with human emotions. This research focuses on human anthropometric theories to design and control robotic facial actuators, addressing the limitations of existing approaches in expressing emotions naturally and accurately. The facial landmarks are extracted to determine the anthropometric indicators for designing the robot head and is employed to the displacement of these points to calculate emotional values using Fuzzy C-Mean(FCM).The rotating angles of skin actuators are required to account for the smaller emotions, which enhance the robot’s ability to perform emotions in reality. In addition, this study contributes a novel approach based on facial anthropometric indicators to tailor emotional expressions to diverse human characteristics, ensuring more personalized and intuitive interactions. The results demonstrated howfuzzy logic can be employed to improve a robot’s ability to express emotions, which are digitized into fuzzy values. This is also the contribution of the research, which laid the groundwork for robots that can interact with humans more intuitively and empathetically. The performed experiments demonstrated that the suitability of proposed models to conduct tasks related to human emotions with the accuracy of emotional value determination and motor angles is 0.96 and 0.97,respectively.
文摘This study investigates how artificial intelligence(AI)algorithms enable mainstream media to achieve precise emotional matching and improve communication efficiency through reconstructed communication logic. As digital intelligence technology rapidly evolves, mainstream media organizations are increasingly leveraging AI-driven empathy algorithms to enhance audience engagement and optimize content delivery. This research employs a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative analysis of algorithmic performance metrics with qualitative examination of media communication patterns.Through systematic review of 150 academic papers and analysis of data from 12 major media platforms, this study reveals that algorithmic empathy systems can improve emotional resonance by 34.7%and increase audience engagement by 28.3%compared to traditional communication methods. The findings demonstrate that AI algorithms reconstruct media communication logic through three primary pathways:emotional pattern recognition, personalized content curation, and real-time sentiment adaptation. However, the study also identifies significant challenges including algorithmic bias, emotional authenticity concerns, and ethical implications of automated empathy. The research contributes to understanding how mainstream media can leverage AI technology to build high-quality empathetic communication while maintaining journalistic integrity and social responsibility.
