Once roof caving and collapse accidents occur, they will inevitably affect the subsequent construction safety. During this process, the light ones will cause delays in the project construction period, causing certain economic losses, while the heavy ones will cause mass deaths and mass injuries, with very serious consequences. According to the real example of the construction treatment of the roof falling accident in the loess tunnel construction process of a highway project in northwest China, this paper specifically analyzes the causes of the roof falling accident, formulates a targeted treatment plan based on the actual situation, expounds the construction method of the loess tunnel collapse and roof falling in the construction process of the highway, and puts forward the corresponding construction points and corresponding preventive measures, which provides a reference for the construction of similar projects.展开更多
