The experimental results could provide the basis for quantitative analysis, development and application of polysaccharides from D. opposite "Qi".展开更多

Background:Rhizoma Dioscoreae bulbiferae could cause liver damage,which limited its application in the clinic.Aims and Objectives:To explore the mechanism of hepatotoxicity of Rhizoma Dioscoreae bulbiferae in mice.Mat...Background:Rhizoma Dioscoreae bulbiferae could cause liver damage,which limited its application in the clinic.Aims and Objectives:To explore the mechanism of hepatotoxicity of Rhizoma Dioscoreae bulbiferae in mice.Materials and Methods:In the present study,the water extraction of Rhizoma Dioscoreae bulbiferae(W.E.R)was administrated via intragastrical with Low(19.6 g/kg),Middle(28.0 g/kg),and High(40.0 g/kg)dose in mice.At each time point 14 days,21 days,and 28 days,the body weight,liver coefficient,indexes of liver function alkaline phosphatase(ALP),alanine aminotransferase(ALT)and aspartate transaminase(AST),various biochemical biomarkers of liver tissue and mitochondria were detected and analyzed.Results:We found that W.E.R could decrease the body weight,increase the liver coefficient and the expression levels of indexes of liver function in mice.Next,we investigated that W.E.R could increase the expression levels of reactive oxygen species(ROS)and malondialdehyde(MDA),decrease the expression levels of adenosine triphosphate(ATP)and improve the enzyme activities of total superoxide dismutase(SOD).Third,we found that W.E.R could increase the enzyme activities of manganese-superoxide dismutase,decrease the enzyme activities of sodium-potassium adenosine triphosphatase(Na+-K+-ATPase)and calcium-magnesium adenosine triphosphatase(Ca 2+-Mg 2+-ATPase).Finally,we analyzed that there were significant negative correlations between body weight,expression level of ATP,activity of Na+-K+-ATPase,activity of Ca 2+-Mg 2+-ATPase and time,dose.There were significant positive correlations between liver coefficient,ALP,ALT,AST,expression levels of ROS,MDA and time,dose.Conclusion:All the results above indicated that W.E.R could cause the hepatotoxicity based on the oxidative damage in mice,which and mitochondria might be the main targets.展开更多
Evolutionary transitions from sexual to asexual reproduction should have significant influences on genetic divergence and polymorphism at the genome level.Plant lineages with diverse reproductive systems provide oppor...Evolutionary transitions from sexual to asexual reproduction should have significant influences on genetic divergence and polymorphism at the genome level.Plant lineages with diverse reproductive systems provide opportunities to investigate this question using comparative approaches and studies of molecular evolution.We investigated evidence for differences among the transcriptomes of 19 Dioscorea species(wild yams)with diverse reproductive systems.These included sexual species,those that propagate primarily by bulbils,and those with mixed sexual and asexual reproductive modes.We examined how transitions between these reproductive systems affected between-species divergence and within-species polymorphism.Primarily asexual species exhibited a reduced efficacy of natural selection and accumulation of deleterious mutations for both divergence and polymorphism.In contrast,species with mixed reproductive strategies involving both seed and clonal reproduction showed no evidence of an increased fixation of harmful mutations at the divergence level,while an accumulation of genetic load present in polymorphism was evident.Our study indicates that the genetic consequences of evolutionary transitions from sexual to predominantly clonal reproduction is likely to depend on both the duration and extent of asexuality occurring in populations.展开更多
Objective:To investigate the therapeutic effects and safety of Dioscorea Decoction combined with Coix Seed in treating cancer cachexia(spleen-kidney Yang deficiency syndrome)in malignant tumor patients.Methods:A total...Objective:To investigate the therapeutic effects and safety of Dioscorea Decoction combined with Coix Seed in treating cancer cachexia(spleen-kidney Yang deficiency syndrome)in malignant tumor patients.Methods:A total of 90 patients with cancer cachexia admitted between June 2024 and June 2025 were randomly divided into a control group and a study group(45 cases each)using a random number generator.Both groups received antitumor therapy,oral megestrol acetate capsules,and conventional nutritional intervention.The study group additionally received oral Dioscorea Decoction combined with Coix Seed.Differences in TCM syndrome scores,nutritional indicators(serum albumin,hemoglobin),and adverse reactions were compared before and after treatment.Results:Baseline TCM syndrome scores and nutritional indicators were comparable between the two groups before treatment.After treatment,both groups showed significant reductions in TCM syndrome scores and increases in serum albumin and hemoglobin levels.The study group exhibited lower TCM syndrome scores and higher serum albumin and hemoglobin levels than the control group,with statistically significant differences.No significant difference in adverse reaction rates was observed between the two groups.Conclusion:Dioscorea Decoction combined with Coix Seed can further improve nutritional status,alleviate clinical symptoms,and demonstrate good safety in treating cancer cachexia patients.展开更多

T. Ting. On the basis of spectroscopic and chemical methods, its structure was elucidated as (25R)-26-O-β-glucopyranosyl-furost-5-en-3β,22ξ,26-triol 3-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl (1→3)-β-D-glucopyranosyl (1→4)-[α-L-rhamnopyranosyl (1→2)]-β-D-glucopyranoside. Six prosapogenins (2-7)were obtained from the enzymatic degradation of 1by cellulase, but only 3 and 4 were obtained by β-glucosidase. The structures of all compounds were determined by spectroscopic data. The activity of the isolated compounds on deformation of mycelia germinated from Pyricularia oaryzae P-2b conidia was evaluated.展开更多
