In recent years, significant advancements in educational technology, particularly the rise of online learning platforms, have transformed the way students engage with educational content. Most students currently access learning materials through live streaming or pre-recorded courses, but live sessions are often confronted with scheduling conflicts between instructors and students, thereby limiting their accessibility. This compels numerous students to opt for pre-recorded lessons, which, despite offering flexibility, lack real-time interaction and direct guidance. The unavailability of professional educators creates a challenge for parents, who are frequently unable to assist their children effectively with academic difficulties.Consequently, when students encounter obstacles during self-paced learning involving pre-recorded materials, their motivation to continue diminishes considerably. To address these challenges, this study developed an intelligent digital human-based teaching system that leverages the capabilities of large language models to provide personalized, interactive, and real-time support. It is designed to simulate the presence of a human instructor, enhancing the learning experience by offering tailored guidance, answering queries, and adapting to individual progress, features that ultimately foster a more engaging and efficient educational process. The proposed solution seeks to bridge the gap between the flexibility of pre-recorded lessons and the interactive, instantaneous engagement typically associated with live courses. 展开更多

The right to digital development, rooted in the fundamental right to development, emerges in response to the transformations of our era and serves as a catalyst for Chinese modernization.Building upon the traditional right to development, the right to digital development aims to meet the people’s aspirations for a better life in the context of digital development.By integrating a technological perspective, this concept advances the theoretical evolution of the right to development in line with contemporary realities. In terms of generation logic, the right to digital development is grounded in policies supporting Chinese modernization, guided by the development of new quality productive forces, and oriented toward addressing the people’s aspirations for a better life and society’s sustainable digital transformation.Ultimately, this framework constructs a normative structure encompassing the right to digital development opportunity, the right to digital development condition, and the right to digital development realization as a cohesive whole. From a value-oriented perspective, the right to digital development adheres to a people-centered philosophy of development, grounded in practical considerations. It addresses the digital divide as a focal point, gradually mitigating digital exclusion and circumventing digital malpractices, thereby fostering digital sharing.Integrating the right to digital development into the conceptual framework of the right to development can complete the institutional construction of digital development through the theoretical architecture of“condition-opportunity-realization.”This integration helps to better safeguard people’s rights and interests in digital development and promotes the free and comprehensive development of individuals. 展开更多

With the increasing attention to the state and role of people in intelligent manufacturing, there is a strong demand for human-cyber-physical systems (HCPS) that focus on human-robot interaction. The existing intelligent manufacturing system cannot satisfy efcient human-robot collaborative work. However, unlike machines equipped with sensors, human characteristic information is difcult to be perceived and digitized instantly. In view of the high complexity and uncertainty of the human body, this paper proposes a framework for building a human digital twin (HDT) model based on multimodal data and expounds on the key technologies. Data acquisition system is built to dynamically acquire and update the body state data and physiological data of the human body and realize the digital expression of multi-source heterogeneous human body information. A bidirectional long short-term memory and convolutional neural network (BiLSTM-CNN) based network is devised to fuse multimodal human data and extract the spatiotemporal features, and the human locomotion mode identifcation is taken as an application case. A series of optimization experiments are carried out to improve the performance of the proposed BiLSTM-CNN-based network model. The proposed model is compared with traditional locomotion mode identifcation models. The experimental results proved the superiority of the HDT framework for human locomotion mode identifcation. 展开更多

The three core issues in the“digital human rights”debate are whether“digital human rights”are possible, necessary, and feasible. Both sides of the debate focus on discovering the value of“digital human rights”to individuals from a semantic level, but ignore the significance of“digital human rights”to the whole society and its subsystems at the level of social structure.By introducing Niklas Luhmann's System Theory, this observation blind spot can be eliminated.Fundamental rights are devoted to directly shaping not a physiological-psychological“individual”as a social environment but a social“person”that can be included by social systems. It is clear that digital human rights are the right to participate in digital communication of a“human”as a“person”,so they are possible in terms of conceptual definition.Digital human rights can help“people”lower the threshold for participation in digital communication, limit the excessive expansion of social systems, and promote the free and complete expression of body and mind,so they are necessary for social functions. There are limitations in the existing two ideas of“incorporating digital human rights into the constitution”.Based on the new construction idea of System Theory of Law,digital human rights as the right to participate in digital communication can be typified into digital communication in social sub-fields such as politics, economy, science, and art.The right to participate constructs a complete digital human rights system, making it feasible on the basis of the constitution. 展开更多

In the digital age,the rise of digital human rights has become an important expansion in the field of human rights. When advancing digital prosecution strategies, prosecutorial agencies should pay greater attention to the protection of digital human rights. The fragile state of digital human rights and the unique position of prosecutorial agencies in human rights protection make it imperative that prosecutorial agencies place more emphasis on fulfilling their responsibilities in legal oversight to promote the protection of digital human rights.Currently, prosecutorial agencies have strengthened the protection of digital human rights through such measures as promoting legal oversight with big data, enhancing the handling of criminal cases involving citizens'digital human rights, expanding the scope of public interest litigation protecting digital human rights, and improving their roles in civil and administrative prosecution. However, there are still challenges related to the inadequacy of updating the mindset, the incompleteness of measures, and the lack of innovation in mechanisms and systems. Therefore, prosecutorial agencies should further align with the implementation of digital prosecution strategies, update their human rights protection concepts, intensify efforts to combat cybercrime, strengthen the protection of citizens'personal information through prosecution, enhance public interest protection of collective digital human rights through public interest litigation, and actively innovate prosecutorial work mechanisms and systems to bolster the protection of digital human rights. 展开更多

Whether a new generation of human rights emerges in the digital age has sparked widespread debate.Academic understanding of digital technology remains confined to thinking about network technology and products, often overlooking the revolutionary nature of digital media.Digital media has the sweeping potential to unify all forms of media and reshape social life, giving rise to new demands for a new generation of human rights. The concept of digital human rights can be defined as the legitimate rights of human's infinitely extended personalities through digital media. Its core characteristic is its transcendency, where every person lives in a networked space that surpasses physical boundaries, nations, and individual personalities.Human rights are generally considered the foundation for basic constitutional rights, which,in turn, form the basis for legislative acts across various sectors. In recent years,China has enacted numerous laws in the digital domain to keep pace with the times, but due to the lack of guidance on digital human rights, these laws tend to be fragmented and disjointed. It is urgent to unify digital legislation at all levels on the basis of reshaping basic constitutional rights. Thus,it is essential to reshape the basic rights based on the concept and characteristics of digital human rights and streamline legislation at all levels under the unified guidance of basic rights. This can help establish a comprehensive digital human rights protection system that meets the demands of the modern era. 展开更多

This action research which situates itself in the context of Digital Humanities focuses on engaging students of Introductory Chinese course with an assignment to create podcasts in the form of an interview.Requiring students to integrate the aural, oral, and textural information via technology so as to carry a conversation with an interlocutor challenges them to convey their thoughts from the language they think in into meaningful ideas using the target language. In this way, students are“pushed”to convert their listening, speaking, and writing from being isolated components into a more dynamic and cohesive mode of communicating. As they explore expressing their ideas in the language they are learning, they develop the skills and sensibility needed to critically analyze their own work.Although limited in scale, the podcast format urges students to transform what they need to learn into a familiar product. 展开更多

The aim of this study was to develop an adequate mathematical model for long-term forecasting of technological progress and economic growth in the digital age (2020-2050). In addition, the task was to develop a model for forecast calculations of labor productivity in the symbiosis of “man + intelligent machine”, where an intelligent machine (IM) is understood as a computer or robot equipped with elements of artificial intelligence (AI), as well as in the digital economy as a whole. In the course of the study, it was shown that in order to implement its goals the Schumpeter-Kondratiev innovation and cycle theory on forming long waves (LW) of economic development influenced by a powerful cluster of economic technologies engendered by industrial revolutions is most appropriate for a long-term forecasting of technological progress and economic growth. The Solow neoclassical model of economic growth, synchronized with LW, gives the opportunity to forecast economic dynamics of technologically advanced countries with a greater precision up to 30 years, the time which correlates with the continuation of LW. In the information and digital age, the key role among the main factors of growth (capital, labour and technological progress) is played by the latter. The authors have developed an information model which allows for forecasting technological progress basing on growth rates of endogenous technological information in economics. The main regimes of producing technological information, corresponding to the eras of information and digital economies, are given in the article, as well as the Lagrangians that engender them. The model is verified on the example of the 5th information LW for the US economy (1982-2018) and it has had highly accurate approximation for both technological progress and economic growth. A number of new results were obtained using the developed information models for forecasting technological progress. The forecasting trajectory of economic growth of developed countries (on the example of the USA) on the upward stage of the 6th LW (2018-2042), engendered by the digital technologies of the 4th Industrial Revolution is given. It is also demonstrated that the symbiosis of human and intelligent machine (IM) is the driving force in the digital economy, where man plays the leading role organizing effective and efficient mutual work. Authors suggest a mathematical model for calculating labour productivity in the digital economy, where the symbiosis of “human + IM” is widely used. The calculations carried out with the help of the model show: 1) the symbiosis of “human + IM” from the very beginning lets to realize the possibilities of increasing work performance in the economy with the help of digital technologies;2) the largest labour productivity is achieved in the symbiosis of “human + IM”, where man labour prevails, and the lowest labour productivity is seen where the largest part of the work is performed by IM;3) developed countries may achieve labour productivity of 3% per year by the mid-2020s, which has all the chances to stay up to the 2040s. 展开更多

At the 2024 China-Europe Seminar on Human Rights, over 60 experts and scholars from 16 countries gathered to discuss“Safeguarding Emerging Rights:Perspectives from China and Europe.”The seminar highlighted that the global new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation, along with changes in production methods and social structures,as well as the rising awareness of human rights, have led to the emergence of many new rights. At the same time, these developments have also given traditional human rights new digital forms. The constant emergence of new rights concepts poses challenges to the traditional human rights theoretical framework and has sparked numerous debates within the international community regarding human rights theory and practice. On issues like economic equality and social rights, particularly emerging rights topics such as climate and human rights and digital human rights, countries should focus on balancing the relationship between individuals, society, and nature and seek a path for the sustainable existence and development of humanity. The core principle for protecting emerging rights should be“humanity first,”and true multilateralism should be embraced to prevent imbalances in the global governance of emerging rights.Open and fair cooperation should help build consensus and provide solutions for the global protection of emerging rights. 展开更多
