And discretization of decision systems in rough set theory has some particular characteristics. Consistency must be satisfied and cuts for discretization is expected to be as small as possible. Consistent and minimal discretization problem is NP-complete. In this paper, an immune algorithm for the problem is proposed. The correctness and effectiveness were shown in experiments. The discretization method presented in this paper can also be used as a data pre- treating step for other symbolic knowledge discovery or machine learning methods other than rough set theory.展开更多

We propose the judgment theorem for the assignment reduct in the inconsistent incomplete decision system, which greatly simplifies judging this type reduct. On such basis, we derive a novel attribute significance measure and construct the fast assignment reduction algorithm (F-ARA), intended for com-puting the assignment reduct in inconsistent incomplete decision systems. Final y, we make a comparison between F-ARA and the discernibility matrix-based method by experiments on 13 Univer-sity of California at Irvine (UCI) datasets, and the experimental results prove that F-ARA is efficient and feasible.展开更多

Stealth security has always been considered as an important guarantee for the vitality and combat effectiveness of submarines.In accordance with the stealth requirements of submarines performing stealth voyage tasks,t...Stealth security has always been considered as an important guarantee for the vitality and combat effectiveness of submarines.In accordance with the stealth requirements of submarines performing stealth voyage tasks,this paper proposes a stealth assistant decision system.Firstly,the submarine stealth posture is acquired.A fuzzy neural network inference engine based on improved simplified particle swarm optimization is designed.The auxiliary decision-making scheme for state control and maneuver avoidance of submarine and its equipment is automatically generated.Secondly,the simulation and deduction of the assistant decision-making scheme are realized by the calculation modules of sound source level,propagation loss,and stealth situation.The assistant decision-making scheme and simulation result provide decision support for the commander.Thirdly,the simulation experiment platform of the submarine stealth assistant decision system is constructed.The submarine stealth assistant decision system described in this paper can quickly and efficiently produce assistant decision-making schemes,including submarine and equipment control and maneuver avoidance.The scheme is in line with the combat experience and the results of the pre-model simulation experiments,whereas the simulation deduction evaluates the rationality and effectiveness of the selected scheme.The submarine stealth assistant decision system can adapt to a complex battlefield environment in addition to rapidly and accurately providing assistance in decision-making.展开更多

Evaluating Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV)systems within a System-of-Systems(SoS)environment helps clarify their contribution to the overall combat capability and supports effectiveness-oriented system optimization.When ...Evaluating Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV)systems within a System-of-Systems(SoS)environment helps clarify their contribution to the overall combat capability and supports effectiveness-oriented system optimization.When assessing decision systems in such an environment,cross-level modeling and simulation are required,which often face a trade-off between low modeling cost and high simulation accuracy,while the credibility of results remains challenging to ensure.To address these issues,this study proposes a hybrid-granularity Hardware-In-the-Loop(HIL)SoS environment construction method based on Graphical Evaluation and Review Technique(GERT).The method employs GERT to analyze the relationships between simulation systems,the System Under Test(SUT),and mission outcomes,thereby determining the required model precision for different systems.A dynamic resource allocation algorithm is applied to adjust model granularity on demand,ensuring high-fidelity simulation under constrained total cost.Additionally,GERT estimates the computational frequency and communication bandwidth requirements of the SUT,guiding hardware selection to enhance simulation credibility.A UAV maritime combat case study was conducted for validation.The results demonstrate that,compared to the flat modeling approach,the hybrid-granularity scenario based on GERT analysis achieves higher simulation accuracy with lower overall model complexity.The coefficient of variation in evaluation results significantly decreases in HIL simulations compared to virtual simulations,confirming improved credibility.Under the hybrid-granularity HIL scenario,the decision system was evaluated from an effectiveness perspective,identifying the most sensitive performance parameter.Subsequent targeted optimization led to an 11.90%improvement in effectiveness,validating the method's practical utility.展开更多
Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)represents a paradigmatic approach to personalized medicine,developed through the systematic accumulation and refinement of clinical empirical data over more than 2000 years,and now en...Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)represents a paradigmatic approach to personalized medicine,developed through the systematic accumulation and refinement of clinical empirical data over more than 2000 years,and now encompasses large-scale electronic medical records(EMR)and experimental molecular data.Artificial intelligence(AI)has demonstrated its utility in medicine through the development of various expert systems(e.g.,MYCIN)since the 1970s.With the emergence of deep learning and large language models(LLMs),AI’s potential in medicine shows considerable promise.Consequently,the integration of AI and TCM from both clinical and scientific perspectives presents a fundamental and promising research direction.This survey provides an insightful overview of TCM AI research,summarizing related research tasks from three perspectives:systems-level biological mechanism elucidation,real-world clinical evidence inference,and personalized clinical decision support.The review highlights representative AI methodologies alongside their applications in both TCM scientific inquiry and clinical practice.To critically assess the current state of the field,this work identifies major challenges and opportunities that constrain the development of robust research capabilities—particularly in the mechanistic understanding of TCM syndromes and herbal formulations,novel drug discovery,and the delivery of high-quality,patient-centered clinical care.The findings underscore that future advancements in AI-driven TCM research will rely on the development of high-quality,large-scale data repositories;the construction of comprehensive and domain-specific knowledge graphs(KGs);deeper insights into the biological mechanisms underpinning clinical efficacy;rigorous causal inference frameworks;and intelligent,personalized decision support systems.展开更多
Artificial intelligence(AI)is rapidly transforming radiology and computed tomography(CT)imaging by enabling automated image analysis,improved diagnostic accuracy,and clinical decision-support.We performed a systematic...Artificial intelligence(AI)is rapidly transforming radiology and computed tomography(CT)imaging by enabling automated image analysis,improved diagnostic accuracy,and clinical decision-support.We performed a systematic review of peerreviewed studies published between January 1,2010 and March 31,2025 to quantify reported gains in diagnostic performance and workflow efficiency,to evaluate clinical decision-support benefits and risks,and to identify integration priorities.We searched PubMed,IEEE Xplore,Scopus,ScienceDirect,and Google Scholar and screened 128 records;26 studies met the inclusion criteria.Extracted data included study design,AI architecture,sample size,and quantitative performance metrics;study quality was assessed using Newcastle-Ottawa Scales(NOS),Cochrane RoB 2,or AMSTAR 2 as appropriate.Across included studies,AI applications in CT showed consistent improvements in sensitivity,specificity,and time-to-diagnosis in specific tasks(notably lung-nodule detection and intracranial hemorrhage triage),with reported detection-rate increases up to~20%and reduced turnaround times in several real-world implementations.Barriers include dataset bias,limited external validation,interpretability(“black-box”)concerns,workflow integration challenges,and evolving regulatory issues.Economic analyses suggest potentially favorable return on investment(ROI)in high-volume settings but are sensitive to licensing and infrastructure costs.To realize AI's benefits in CT imaging,rigorous multi-center validation,transparent reporting,humancentered workflow design,and post-deployment surveillance are essential.展开更多
Secure and automated sharing of medical information among different medical entities/stakeholders like patients,hospitals,doctors,law enforcement agencies,health insurance companies etc.,in a standard format has alway...Secure and automated sharing of medical information among different medical entities/stakeholders like patients,hospitals,doctors,law enforcement agencies,health insurance companies etc.,in a standard format has always been a challenging problem.Current methods for ensuring compliance with medical privacy laws require specialists who are deeply familiar with these laws'complex requirements to verify the lawful exchange of medical information.This article introduces a Smart Medical Data Exchange Engine(SDEE)designed to automate the extracting of logical rules from medical privacy legislation using advanced techniques.These rules facilitate the secure extraction of information,safeguarding patient privacy and confidentiality.In addition,SMDEE can generate standardised clinical documents according to Health Level 7(HL7)standards and also standardise the nomenclature of requested medical data,enabling accurate decision-making when accessing patient data.All access requests to patient information are processed through SMDEE to ensure authorised access.The proposed system's efficacy is evaluated using the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act(HIPAA),a fundamental privacy law in the United States.However,SMDEE's flexibility allows its application worldwide,accommodating various medical privacy laws.Beyond facilitating global information exchange,SMDEE aims to enhance international patients'timely and appropriate treatment.展开更多
Decision support systems(DSS)based on physically based numerical models are standard tools used by water services and utilities.However,few DSS based on holistic approaches combining distributed hydrological,hydraulic...Decision support systems(DSS)based on physically based numerical models are standard tools used by water services and utilities.However,few DSS based on holistic approaches combining distributed hydrological,hydraulic,and hydrogeological models are operationally exploited.This holistic approach was adopted for the development of the AquaVar DSS,used for water resource management in the French Mediterranean Var watershed.The year 2019 marked the initial use of the DSS in its operational environment.Over the next 5 years,multiple hydrological events allowed to test the performance of the DSS.The results show that the tool is capable of simulating peak flows associated with two extreme rainfall events(storms Alex and Aline).For a moderate flood,the real-time functionality was able to simulate forecast discharges 26 h before the flood peak,with a maximum local error of 30%.Finally,simulations for the drought period 2022-2023 highlighted the essential need for DSS to evolve in line with changing climatic conditions,which give rise to unprecedented hydrological processes.The lessons learned from these first 5 years of AquaVar use under operational conditions are synthesized,addressing various topics such as DSS modularity,evolution,data positioning,technology,and governance.展开更多

[Result] The decision support system established in this study could predict whether a wheat variety could live through the winter in a certain area of northern Hebei Province, as well as the growth conditions based on the previous meteorological data or local weather forecast, and provided corresponding cultivation and management measures, making it possible for the user to determine whether the variety could be planted in the region based on the predictions. 文摘Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)represents a paradigmatic approach to personalized medicine,developed through the systematic accumulation and refinement of clinical empirical data over more than 2000 years,and now encompasses large-scale electronic medical records(EMR)and experimental molecular data.Artificial intelligence(AI)has demonstrated its utility in medicine through the development of various expert systems(e.g.,MYCIN)since the 1970s.With the emergence of deep learning and large language models(LLMs),AI’s potential in medicine shows considerable promise.Consequently,the integration of AI and TCM from both clinical and scientific perspectives presents a fundamental and promising research direction.This survey provides an insightful overview of TCM AI research,summarizing related research tasks from three perspectives:systems-level biological mechanism elucidation,real-world clinical evidence inference,and personalized clinical decision support.The review highlights representative AI methodologies alongside their applications in both TCM scientific inquiry and clinical practice.To critically assess the current state of the field,this work identifies major challenges and opportunities that constrain the development of robust research capabilities—particularly in the mechanistic understanding of TCM syndromes and herbal formulations,novel drug discovery,and the delivery of high-quality,patient-centered clinical care.The findings underscore that future advancements in AI-driven TCM research will rely on the development of high-quality,large-scale data repositories;the construction of comprehensive and domain-specific knowledge graphs(KGs);deeper insights into the biological mechanisms underpinning clinical efficacy;rigorous causal inference frameworks;and intelligent,personalized decision support systems.
文摘Artificial intelligence(AI)is rapidly transforming radiology and computed tomography(CT)imaging by enabling automated image analysis,improved diagnostic accuracy,and clinical decision-support.We performed a systematic review of peerreviewed studies published between January 1,2010 and March 31,2025 to quantify reported gains in diagnostic performance and workflow efficiency,to evaluate clinical decision-support benefits and risks,and to identify integration priorities.We searched PubMed,IEEE Xplore,Scopus,ScienceDirect,and Google Scholar and screened 128 records;26 studies met the inclusion criteria.Extracted data included study design,AI architecture,sample size,and quantitative performance metrics;study quality was assessed using Newcastle-Ottawa Scales(NOS),Cochrane RoB 2,or AMSTAR 2 as appropriate.Across included studies,AI applications in CT showed consistent improvements in sensitivity,specificity,and time-to-diagnosis in specific tasks(notably lung-nodule detection and intracranial hemorrhage triage),with reported detection-rate increases up to~20%and reduced turnaround times in several real-world implementations.Barriers include dataset bias,limited external validation,interpretability(“black-box”)concerns,workflow integration challenges,and evolving regulatory issues.Economic analyses suggest potentially favorable return on investment(ROI)in high-volume settings but are sensitive to licensing and infrastructure costs.To realize AI's benefits in CT imaging,rigorous multi-center validation,transparent reporting,humancentered workflow design,and post-deployment surveillance are essential.

文摘Secure and automated sharing of medical information among different medical entities/stakeholders like patients,hospitals,doctors,law enforcement agencies,health insurance companies etc.,in a standard format has always been a challenging problem.Current methods for ensuring compliance with medical privacy laws require specialists who are deeply familiar with these laws'complex requirements to verify the lawful exchange of medical information.This article introduces a Smart Medical Data Exchange Engine(SDEE)designed to automate the extracting of logical rules from medical privacy legislation using advanced techniques.These rules facilitate the secure extraction of information,safeguarding patient privacy and confidentiality.In addition,SMDEE can generate standardised clinical documents according to Health Level 7(HL7)standards and also standardise the nomenclature of requested medical data,enabling accurate decision-making when accessing patient data.All access requests to patient information are processed through SMDEE to ensure authorised access.The proposed system's efficacy is evaluated using the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act(HIPAA),a fundamental privacy law in the United States.However,SMDEE's flexibility allows its application worldwide,accommodating various medical privacy laws.Beyond facilitating global information exchange,SMDEE aims to enhance international patients'timely and appropriate treatment.
文摘Decision support systems(DSS)based on physically based numerical models are standard tools used by water services and utilities.However,few DSS based on holistic approaches combining distributed hydrological,hydraulic,and hydrogeological models are operationally exploited.This holistic approach was adopted for the development of the AquaVar DSS,used for water resource management in the French Mediterranean Var watershed.The year 2019 marked the initial use of the DSS in its operational environment.Over the next 5 years,multiple hydrological events allowed to test the performance of the DSS.The results show that the tool is capable of simulating peak flows associated with two extreme rainfall events(storms Alex and Aline).For a moderate flood,the real-time functionality was able to simulate forecast discharges 26 h before the flood peak,with a maximum local error of 30%.Finally,simulations for the drought period 2022-2023 highlighted the essential need for DSS to evolve in line with changing climatic conditions,which give rise to unprecedented hydrological processes.The lessons learned from these first 5 years of AquaVar use under operational conditions are synthesized,addressing various topics such as DSS modularity,evolution,data positioning,technology,and governance.
文摘In order to solve existing problems about the method of establishing traditional system structure of decision support system(DSS), O S chart is applied to describe object oriented system structure of general DSS, and a new method of eight specific steps is proposed to establish object oriented system structure of DSS by using the method of O S chart, which is applied successfully to the development of the DSS for the energy system ecology engineering research of the Wangheqiu country. Supplying many scientific effective computing models, decision support ways and a lot of accurate reliable decision data, the DSS plays a critical part in helping engineering researchers to make correct decisions. Because the period for developing the DSS is relatively shorter, the new way improves the efficiency of establishing DSS greatly. It also makes the DSS of system structure more flexible and easy to expand.

文摘Though the dominance-based rough set approach has been applied to interval-valued information systems for knowledge discovery, the traditional dominance relation cannot be used to describe the degree of dominance principle in terms of pairs of objects. In this paper, a ranking method of interval-valued data is used to describe the degree of dominance in the interval-valued information system. Therefore, the fuzzy rough technique is employed to construct the rough approximations of upward and downward unions of decision classes, from which one can induce at least and at most decision rules with certainty factors from the interval-valued decision system. Some numerical examples are employed to substantiate the conceptual arguments.

文摘[Objective] This study was to provide methods to improve the scientificity and informatization level of agricultural decision-making system based on the study of Decision Support System for "Northing of Winter Wheat" in Hebei Province (DSS- NWWH). [Method] The functions, development process, operation guidance as well as input and output modes of DSSNWWH were introduced, and the simulated results of the system were verified by comparing with the actual situations. [Result] The decision support system established in this study could predict whether a wheat variety could live through the winter in a certain area of northern Hebei Province, as well as the growth conditions based on the previous meteorological data or local weather forecast, and provided corresponding cultivation and management measures, making it possible for the user to determine whether the variety could be planted in the region based on the predictions. [Conclusion] The established DSSNWWH in this study can effectively help decision makers make decisions, providing scientific instructions for the northing of winter wheat.
文摘Based on platform of GIS software ArcView and theory of management information system(MIS), a decision support system on urban landscape planning was designed via GIS technology, module design technique and object-oriented programming technique. The function of this system is realized by its two subsystems—one is for height limit model of city and another is for landscape belt planning, which can help administors in landscape planning.
