Using recently observed data: the Constitution dataset of type supernovae Ia (SNIa), the observational Hubble data (OHD), the measurement results of baryon acoustic oscillation (BAO) from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) and the Two Degree Field Galaxy Redshift Survey (2dFGRS), and the current cosmic microwave background (CMB) data from the five-year Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe (WMAP), we apply the Markov Chain Monte Carlo method to investigate the observational constraints on the generalized Chaplygin gas (GCG) model as the unification of dark matter and dark energy. For this unified model, the constraints on GCG mixture are discussed by considering the different expressions of current matter density or considering constraints as being independent of the matter quantity Ωm. 展开更多

In this paper bulk viscosity is introduced to describe the effects of cosmic non-perfect fluid on the cosmos evolution and to build the unified dark energy (DE) with (dark) matter models. Also we derive a general relation between the bulk viscosity form and Hubble parameter that can provide a procedure for the viscosity DE model building. Especially, a redshift dependent viscosity parameter ζ ∝ λ0 +λ1(1 +z)n proposed in the previous work [X.H. Meng and X. Dou, Commun. Theor. Phys. B2 (2009) 377] is investigated extensively in this present work. Further more we use the recently released supernova dataset (the Constitution dataset) to constrain the model parameters. In order to differentiate the proposed concrete dark energy models from the well known ACDM model, statefinder diagnostic method is applied to this bulk viscosity model, as a complementary to the Om parameter diagnostic and the deceleration parameter analysis performed by us before. The DE model evolution behavior and tendency are shown in the plane of the statefinder diagnostic parameter pair {τ, s} as axes where the fixed point represents the A CDM model The possible singularity property in this bulk viscosity cosmology is also discussed to which we can conclude that in the different parameter regions chosen properly, this concrete viscosity DE model can have various late evolution behaviors and the late time singularity could be avoided. We also calculate the cosmic entropy in the bulk viscosity dark energy frame, and find that the total entropy in the viscosity DE model increases monotonously with respect to the scale factor evolution, thus this monotonous increasing property can indicate an arrow of time in the universe evolution, though the quantum version of the arrow of time is still very puzzling. 展开更多

The universe content is considered as a non-perfect fluid with bulk viscosity and can be described by a general equation of state (endowed some deviation from the conventionally assumed cosmic perfect fluid model). An explicitly bulk viscosity dark energy model is proposed to confront consistently with the current observational data sets by statistical analysis and is shown consistent with (not deviated away much from) the concordant A Cold Dark Matter (CDM) model by comparing the decelerating parameter. Also we compare our relatively simple viscosity dark energy model with a more complicated one by contrast with the concordant ACDM model and find our model improves for the viscosity dark energy model building. Finally we discuss the perspectives of dark energy probes for the coming years with observations. 展开更多

Recent astronomical observations of high redshift quasars, dark matter-dominated galaxies, mergers of neutron stars, glitch phenomena in pulsars, cosmic microwave background and experimental data from hadronic colliders do not rule out, but they even support the hypothesis that the energy-density in our universe most likely is upper-limited by <span style="white-space:nowrap;"><i>pmaxuni</i> </span>which is predicted to lie between 2 to 3 the nuclear density <em>p</em>0. Quantum fluids in the cores of massive NSs with <em>p </em><span style="white-space:nowrap;"><span style="white-space:nowrap;">≈</span><i> <span style="white-space:nowrap;"><i>pmaxuni</i> </span></i><span style="white-space:nowrap;">e</span>a</span>ch the maximum compressibility state, where they become insensitive to further compression by the embedding spacetime and undergo a phase transition into the purely incompressible gluon-quark superfluid state. A direct correspondence between the positive energy stored in the embedding spacetime and the degree of compressibility and superfluidity of the trapped matter is proposed. In this paper relevant observational signatures that support the maximum density hypothesis are reviewed, a possible origin of <span style="white-space:nowrap;"><i>pmaxuni</i> </span>i<span style="white-space:nowrap;">s pr</span>oposed and finally the consequences of this scenario on the spacetime’s topology of the universe as well as on the mechanisms underlying the growth rate and power of the high redshift QSOs are discussed. 展开更多

We test the Wu gauge theory of gravity with massive gravitons in the perturbing topological field theory framework. We show that the computation of the correlation function between massive and massless gravitons is reported up to 4-loop and appears to be unaffected by radiative correction. This result ensures the stability of the linking number between massive and massless gravitons with respect to the local perturbation,a result with potential wider applications in cosmology. 展开更多

Current observations indicate that 95% of the energy density in the universe is the unknown dark component. The dark component is considered composed of two fluids:dark matter and dark energy.Or it is a mixture of these two dark components,i.e.,one can consider it an exotic unknown dark fluid. With this consideration, the variable generalized Chaplygin gas(VGCG)model is studied with not dividing the unknown fluid into dark matter and dark energy parts in this paper.By using the Markov Chain Monte Carlo method, the VGCG model as the unification of dark sectors is constrained, and the constraint results on the VGCG model parameters are,n=0.00057+0.0001+0.0009-0.0006-0.0006,α=0.0015+0.0003+0.0017-0.0015-0.0015and B s=0.778+0.016+0.030-0.016-0.035,obtained by the cosmic microwave background data from the 7-year WMAP full data points, the baryon acoustic oscillation data from Sloan Digital Sky Survey(SDSS)and 2-degree Field Galaxy Redshift(2dFGRS)survey,and the Union2 type Ia supernova data with systematic errors. At last, according to the evolution of deceleration parameter it is shown that an expanded universe from deceleration to acceleration can be obtained in VGCG cosmology. 展开更多

Gauge theory of gravity is formulated based on principle of local gauge invariance. Because the model hasstrict local gravitational gauge symmetry, and gauge theory of gravity is a perturbatively renormalizable quantum model. However, in the original model, all gauge gravitons are massless. We want to ask whether there exist massive gravitonsin Nature. In this paper, we will propose a gauge model with massive gravitons. The mass term of gravitational gaugefield is introduced into the theory without violating the strict local gravitational gauge symmetry. Massive gravitons canbe considered to be possible origin of dark energy and dark matter in the Universe. 展开更多

The author of this paper once attempted to propose a unified framework for gauge fields based on the mathematical and physical picture of the principal fiber bundle: that is, to believe that our universe may have more fundamental interactions than the four, and these fundamental gauge fields are only components on the bottom manifold (i.e. our universe) projected by a unified gauge potential of the principal fiber bundle manifold;these components can satisfy the transformation of gauge potential, or even be transformed from one basic interaction gauge potential to another basic interaction gauge potential, and can be summarized into a unified equation, namely the generalized gauge equation expression, corresponding to gauge transformation invariance;so the invariance of gauge transformation is a necessary condition for unified field theory, and the four (or more) fundamental interaction fields of the universe are unified in a unified gauge field defined by the connection on the principal fiber bundle. In this paper, the author continues to propose a model of large-scale (gravitational) fundamental interactions in the universe based on the mathematical and physical picture of the principal fiber bundle, attempting to explain that dark matter and dark energy are merely reflections of these gravitational fundamental interactions that deviate in intensity from the gravitational fundamental interactions of the solar system at galaxy scales or some cosmic scales which are much larger than the solar system. All these “gravitational” fundamental interactions originate from the unified gauge field of the universe, namely the connection or curvature on the principal fiber bundle. These interactions are their projected representations on the bottom manifold (i.e. our universe) by different cross-sections (gauge transformations). These projection representations of the universe certainly are described by the generalized gauge equation or curvature similarity equation, and under the guidance of curvature gauge transformation factors, oscillate and evolve between the curvatures 1→0→-1→0→1 of the universe. 展开更多
