The indices included heart rate (HR), high frequency (HF) of the R-R interval on an electrocardiogram, and the ratio of HF to LF (low frequency) (LF/HF). HR is an indicator of the degree of mental and physical activity, HF indicates the parasympathetic index and LF/HF indicates the sympathetic index. For the mediolateral oblique (MLO) view in mammography, autonomic function indices were measured before and during mammography. Statistical analysis was performed by the Mann-Whitney U test and the significance level was set at 5%. The autonomic function indices were compared before and during mammography and all showed no significant differences. The average value before imaging and the reference value at rest were compared. The results showed that HR increased 1.3-fold, HF increased 0.4-fold, and LF/HF increased 3.2-fold over reference values. Chronological changes during mammography showed that HF increased and LF/HF decreased from 120 seconds after the start of imaging. From these observations, it is evident that the state before mammography is not the same as the resting state and that the sympathetic index is dominant before imaging. They also suggest that some aspects of the psychological burden experienced during mammography are not due to the pain of breast compression alone.展开更多

There are prominent differences be- tween the roles of quadratic time-delayed feedback and cubic time-delayed feedback on the correlations of an autonomous stochastic system. Under quadratic time-delayed feedback, the nonlinear time delay fails to improve the noisy state of the autonomous stochastic system, the auto-correlation decreases monotonously to zero, and the cross-correlation increases monotonously to zero with the decay time. Under cubic time-delayed feedback, the nonlinear time delay can improve the noisy state of the autonomous stochastic system; the auto-correlation and the cross-correlation show periodical oscillation and attenuation, finally tending to zero with the decay time. Comparing the correlations of the system between with nonfinear time-delayed feedback and linear time-delayed feedback, we find that nonlinear time-delayed feedback lowers the correlation strength of the autonomous stochastic system.展开更多

Before, during and after imaging urodynamic examination with slow filling in supine position, blood pressure and ECG were monitored simultaneously. The symptoms of sweating, shivering, headache, flushing and chills were observed and recorded. The study of the relationship among the changes of blood pressure, heart rate and urodynamic indexes and the above symptoms was analyzed. <strong>Results:</strong> They were divided into three groups: group A (no obvious abnormality), group B (hyperactivity) and group C (hypoactivity) according to their BP, HR and existing the symptoms or not. <strong>Conclusion:</strong> The incidence of autonomic dysfunction in the high level SCI patients with dysuria was very high (79.17%), most of them were hyperactivity, and a few were low function. The changes of SBP and DBP in the hypoactivity group all appeared an increasing and then declining trend, while the change of HR in the low function one was lower than normal and decreased continuously. The main inducements of AD are neurogenic detrusor overactivity, detrusor sphincter dyssynergia, elevated abdominal pressure and abnormal bladder sensitivity. The asymptomatic patients had a higher occurrence rate (43.75%). Only by imaging urodynamic examination with slow filling and synchronous blood pressure monitoring, can autonomic nervous function of the patients be evaluated safely, objectively, early and accurately.展开更多

In this study, we aimed to investigate the association between residual b-cell function and CAN in patients newly diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. We enrolled 90 newly-diagnosed type 2 diabetic patients and 37 participants with normal glucose tolerance as controls. The patients were divided into a CAN? group(diabetic patients with CAN, n = 20) and a CAN-group(diabetic patients without CAN, n = 70) according to the standard Ewing battery of tests. Fasting and postprandial plasma glucose, insulin, and C-peptide were measured.Homeostasis model assessment-beta cells(HOMA-B) and HOMA-insulin resistance(IR) were calculated. The prevalence of CAN in this population was 22.2%. Compared with the CAN-group, the CAN? group had significantly lower fasting plasma insulin(6.60 ± 4.39 vs 10.45 ± 7.82 l/L, P = 0.029), fasting C-peptide(0.51 ± 0.20 vs0.82 ± 0.51 nmol/L, P = 0.004), and HOMA-B(21.44 ± 17.06 vs 44.17 ± 38.49, P = 0.002). Fasting C-peptide was correlated with the Valsalva ratio(r = 0.24, P = 0.043) and the 30:15 test(r = 0.26,P = 0.023). Further analysis showed that fasting C-peptide(OR: 0.041, 95% CI 0.003–0.501, P = 0.012) and HOMAB(OR: 0.965, 95% CI 0.934–0.996, P = 0.028) were independently associated with cardiovascular autonomic nerve function in this population. The patients with fasting C-peptide values \ 0.67 nmol/L were more likely to have CAN than those with C-peptide levels C0.67 nmol/L(OR:6.00, 95% CI 1.815–19.830, P = 0.003). A high prevalence of CAN was found in patients with newly-diagnosed type 2 diabetes. Decreased b-cell function was closely associated with CAN in this population.展开更多

Despite its high prevalence, the underlying pathophysiology of this condition is poorly understood.AIM To assess the role of gastric dysmotility and autonomic nervous system dysfunction in the pathophysiology of AP-FGIDs.METHODS One hundred children, fulfilling Rome III criteria for AP-FGIDs, and 50 healthy controls, aged 5 to 12 years, were recruited after obtaining parental consent. All patients were investigated for underlying organic disorders. Gastric motility and cardiovascular autonomic functions were assessed using validated non-invasive techniques.RESULTS The main gastric motility parameters assessed(gastric emptying rate [45.7 vs 59.6 in controls], amplitude [48.7 vs 58.2], frequency of antral contractions [8.3 vs 9.4],and antral motility index [4.1 vs 6.4]) were significantly lower in children with AP-FGIDs(P < 0.05). The post-prandial antral dilatation at 1 min after the test meal significantly correlated with the severity of abdominal pain(P < 0.05).Assessment of autonomic functions in AP-FGID patients showed neither a significant difference compared to the control group, nor a correlation with gastric motility abnormalities(P > 0.05). The duration of pain episodes negatively correlated with the parasympathetic tone(maladaptive parasympathetic tone)(P< 0.05).CONCLUSION Children with AP-FGIDs have abnormal gastric motility but normal cardiovascular autonomic functions. There is no relationship between abnormal gastric motility and autonomic functions. The pathogenesis of AP-FGIDs is not related to cardiovascular autonomic dysfunction.展开更多

In this paper, strain modal parameters are considered as random variables, and their uncertainty is analyzed by a Bayesian method based on the structural frequency response function (FRF). The estimates of strain modal parameters with maximal posterior probability are determined. Several independent measurements of the FRF of a four-story reinforced concrete flame structural model were performed in the laboratory. The ability to identify the stiffness change in a concrete column using the strain mode was verified. It is shown that the uncertainty of the natural frequency is very small. Compared with the displacement mode shape, the variations of strain mode shapes at each point are quite different. The damping ratios are more affected by the types of test systems. Except for the case where a high order strain mode does not identify local damage, the first order strain mode can provide an exact indication of the damage location.展开更多

文摘This study proposed a new and more flexible S-shaped rock damage evolution model from a phenomenological perspective based on an improved Logistic function to describe the characteristics of the rock strain softening and damage process.Simultaneously,it established a constitutive model capable of describing the entire process of rock pre-peak compaction and post-peak strain softening deformation, considering the nonlinear effects of the initial compaction stage of rocks, combined with damage mechanics theory and effective medium theory. In addition, this research verified the rationality of the constructed damage constitutive model using results from uniaxial and conventional triaxial compression tests on Miluo granite, yellow sandstone, mudstone, and glutenite. The results indicate that based on the improved Logistic function, the theoretical damage model accurately describes the entire evolution of damage characteristics during rock compression deformation, from maintenance through gradual onset, accelerated development to deceleration and termination,in a simple and unified expression. At the same time, the constructed constitutive model can accurately simulate the stress-strain process of different rock types under uniaxial and conventional triaxial compression, and the theoretical model curve closely aligns with experimental data.Compared to existing constitutive models, the proposed model has significant advantages. The damage model parameters a,r and β have clear physical meanings and interact competitively, where the three parameters collectively determine the shape of the theoretical stress−strain curve.
文摘The physical and psychological burden on patients during mammography was analyzed using the autonomic function index in 34 adult females. They also suggest that some aspects of the psychological burden experienced during mammography are not due to the pain of breast compression alone.

文摘The auto-correlation function and the cross-correlation of an autonomous stochastic system with nonlinear time-delayed feedback are investigated by using the stochastic simulation method. Comparing the correlations of the system between with nonfinear time-delayed feedback and linear time-delayed feedback, we find that nonlinear time-delayed feedback lowers the correlation strength of the autonomous stochastic system.
文摘Objective: To evaluate the influence of complete and incomplete pelvic autonomic nerve preservation (PANP) on urination function in patients with resection of rectal carcinoma. Methods: The changes of pre-and post-operative residual urine volume (RUV) in patient undergoing complete PANP (n = 15) and incomplete PANP (n = 17) were observed. Results: In fifteen cases with complete PANP, preoperative RUV was 4.09 ml, 14 days and 3 months after operation RUV were 8.00 ml and 7.02 ml (P 〉 0.05). In seventeen cases with incomplete PANP, preoperative RUV was 3.90 ml, 14 days and 3 months after operation RUV were 36.55 ml and 22.64 ml (P 〈 0.001 ). Conclusion: Complete and incomplete pelvic autonomic preservation may affect urination function in patients with resection of rectal carcinoma and RUV is an effective indicator if the pelvic autonomic nerves are preserved completely.
文摘Objective:To investigate and analyze the effect of laparoscopic pelvic autonomic nerve-preserving radical resection of rectal cancer on urinary and sexual function. Methods:Cases of laparoscopic radical resection of rectal cancer in our hospital from April 2018 to April 2023 were selected, and 60 patients who met the requirements were included as research subjects. The patients were divided into an experimental group and a reference group by a double-blind mechanism, with 30 cases in each group. The experimental group underwent laparoscopic pelvic autonomic radical resection, while the reference group underwent ordinary radical resection. The voiding function, urodynamics, sexual function, and blood indexes of the patients of both groups were compared. Results:The total incidence of voiding dysfunction in the experimental group was significantly lower than in the reference group(P<0.05).Urodynamics such as abdominal leak point pressure(ALPP),maximum urethral pressure(MUP),maximum urethral closure pressure(MUCP),and functional urethral length(FUL)in the experimental group were significantly better than those in the reference group(P<0.05).The incidences of erectile dysfunction and ejaculatory dysfunction in the experimental group were significantly lower than those in the reference group(P<0.05).Before the surgery, there were no significant differences in the blood indexes such as C-reactive protein(CRP),cortisol(Cor),and pre-albumin(PA)between the two groups(P>0.05);after the operation, the blood indexes of the patients in the experimental group were significantly better than those in the reference group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Laparoscopic pelvic autonomic nerve-preserving radical resection of rectal cancer has lesser effects on urinary and sexual functions.
文摘<strong>Objective:</strong> Explore the rule of autonomic nervous dysfunction in the patients with urination disorder after high level spinal cord injury, and seek a safe, objective and accurate method to evaluate autonomic nervous function. <strong>Patients and Method:</strong> 48 patients with dysuria after cervicothoracic SCI were selected. Only by imaging urodynamic examination with slow filling and synchronous blood pressure monitoring, can autonomic nervous function of the patients be evaluated safely, objectively, early and accurately.

文摘Heart rate variability(HRV)analysis is a common method to non-invasively evaluate autonomic nervous function. In many studies, low frequency variability(LF,<0.15 Hz as shown in the power spectrum produced by Fast Fourier Transformation)is taken as an indicator of sympa-thetic function and high frequency variability(HF,≥0.15 Hz)as an indicator of parasympathetic function.Based on studies on over 20 control subjects and 15 mind/body practitioners,we found that the following are important factors that influence HRV.First, the frequency of the breathing cy-cle is reflcted in the frequency of a peak in the power spectrum produced by respiratory sinus lar-rhythmia(RSA).In some cases involving younger subjects, multiple peaks can be seen in the pow-er spectrum even though they were strictly controlling their breathing at a single rate.Second, the size of the HRV peak produced by RSA is dependent on the tidal volume of each breath and the pos-ture of the subject.Third, under the same conditions, younger subjects(aging 20's-25's)general-ly show a larger RSA peak compared to older subjects(aging 50's-70's).This effect often over-shadows differences based on other considerations, such as years of experience in mind-body prac-tice.In conclusion, this study shows that HRV analysis can be a useful tool for assessing autonomic nervous function in mind-body research, but great care must be taken to control for all of the factors indicated above.
文摘Spinal cord injury(SCI) often results in permanent dysfunction of locomotion, sensation, and autonomic regulation, imposing a substantial burden on both individuals and society(Anjum et al.,2020).SCI has a complex pathophysiology:an initial primary injury(mechanical trauma, axonal disruption, and hemorrhage) is followed by a progressive secondary injury cascade that involves ischemia, neuronal loss, and inflammation.Given the challenges in achieving regeneration of the injured spinal cord, neuroprotection has been at the forefront of clinical research.

文摘The influence of b-cell function on cardiovascular autonomic neuropathy(CAN), an important diabetesrelated complication, is still unclear. Decreased b-cell function was closely associated with CAN in this population.
文摘This paper provides a review of methods of assessing a fragmentation weapon’s effectiveness against a point target or an area target with keeping the focus on the necessity of using the Carleton damage function with the correct shape factor.First,cookie-cutter damage functions are redefined to preserve the shape factor of and to have the same lethal area as the corresponding Carleton damage function.Then,closed-form solutions of the effectiveness methods are obtained by using those cookie-cutter damage functions and the Carleton damage function. Finally, the closed-form solutions are applied to calculate the probability of damaging a point target and the expected fractional damage to an area target for several attack scenarios by using cookie-cutter damage functions and the Carleton damage functions with different shape factors. The comparison of the calculation results shows that using cookie-cutter damage functions or the Carleton damage function with a wrong shape factor results in quite significant differences from using the original Carleton damage function with a correct shape factor when weapon’s delivery error deviations are less than or comparable to the lengths of the lethal area and the aim point is far from a target. The effectiveness methods improved in this paper will be useful for mission planning utilizing the precision-guided munitions in circumstances where the collateral damage should be reduced.

文摘BACKGROUND Abdominal pain-predominant functional gastrointestinal disorders(AP-FGIDs)are the most common cause of recurrent abdominal pain in children. The pathogenesis of AP-FGIDs is not related to cardiovascular autonomic dysfunction.

文摘Structural strain modes are able to detect changes in local structural performance, but errors are inevitably intermixed in the measured data. Except for the case where a high order strain mode does not identify local damage, the first order strain mode can provide an exact indication of the damage location.
