Compositing a secondary phase in Ag_(2)Se can usually tune the electron and phonon scattering to improve the thermoelectric performance.However,the intrinsically high carrier concentration still limits the performance...Compositing a secondary phase in Ag_(2)Se can usually tune the electron and phonon scattering to improve the thermoelectric performance.However,the intrinsically high carrier concentration still limits the performance optimization.Here,we employ a modulation decoration strategy to simultaneously achieve submicron-scale constituents and compositional modification for synergistic optimization of thermoelectric properties.Amorphous nano Sb_(2)S_(3) has been decorated on the surface of Ag_(2)Se powders,and S was added into the Ag_(2)Se matrix through an ion exchange reaction accompanied by the formation of a crystal/amorphous mixed secondary phase of Sb_(2)(S,Se)_(3).The S doping reduced the excessive intrinsic carrier concentration,leading to modified electrical transport properties and significantly reduced electrical thermal conductivity.On the other hand,introducing the S dopants and the crystal/amorphous interfaces into the Ag_(2)Se matrix could increase the lattice anharmonicity,further contributing to the reduced thermal conductivity.Consequently,the Ag_(2)Se-0.4%Sb_(2)S_(3) sample obtains a high average zT value of>1 in the temperature range of 300–390 K.In addition,the maximum cooling temperature difference of over 85 K can be predicted in an Ag_(2)Se/Ag_(2)Se-0.4%Sb_(2)S_(3) segregated module at the hot side temperature of 350 K.展开更多

The as-prepared TiO2 samples were thoroughly characterized by...Anatase TiO2 nanocrystals and sub-microcrystals with truncated octahedral bipyramidal morphologies were prepared by direct calcination of TiOF2 precursors. The as-prepared TiO2 samples were thoroughly characterized by X-ray diffraction, Raman spectroscopy, field-emission scanning electron microscopy, N2 adsorption-desorption isotherms, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and UV-visible diffuse spectroscopy. It was found that the crystallinity, grain size, and {001}/{101} ratio of the samples can be increased by raising the calcination temperature from 500 to 800℃. The higher crystallinity and {001}/{101} facet ratio resulted in an increase in both aqueous and gas-phase photocatalytic activities, by inhibiting the recombination and separation of electrons and holes. After selecting two TiO2 samples with high crystallinity and {001}/{101} ratio, Au nanoparticles were decorated on their surfaces, and the photocatalytic activity of the resulting samples under visible light illumination was studied. It was found that the visible light-induced photocatalytic activity increased by 2.6 and 4.8 times, respectively, upon Au decoration of the samples prepared by calcination of TiOF2 at 700 and 800℃.展开更多

Many orb-web spiders of the genus Cyclosa add prey remains, plant debris, moults, and/or eggsacs to their webs called web decorations. Web decorations resembling spider body colour pattern have been considered to camouflage the spider from predators. While this camouflage is obvious from a human's perspective, it has rarely been investigated from a predator's perspective. In this study, we tested the visibility of web decorations by calculating chromatic and achromatic contrasts of detritus and eggsae decorations built by Cyclosa octotubereulata, against four different backgrounds viewed by both bird (e.g., blue tits) and hymenopteran (e.g. wasps) predators. We showed that both juvenile and adult spiders on webs with detritus or egg-sac deco- rations were undetectable by both hymenopteran and bird predators over short and long distances. Our results thus suggest that decorating webs with detritus or eggsacs by C octotuberculata may camouflage the spiders from both hymenopteran and bird predators in their common habitats [Current Zoology 56 (3): 379-387, 2010].展开更多
Different types of polymer films were used in the combined in-mold decoration and microcellular injection molding(IMD/MIM)process.The multiphase fluid-solid coupled heat transfer model was established to study the the...Different types of polymer films were used in the combined in-mold decoration and microcellular injection molding(IMD/MIM)process.The multiphase fluid-solid coupled heat transfer model was established to study the thermal response at the melt filling stage in the IMD/MIM process.It was found that the temperature distributed asymmetrically along the thickness direction due to the changed heat transfer coefficient of the melt on the film side.When polyethylene terephthalate(PET)films were applied,the temperature of the melt-film interface increased faster and to be higher at the end of melt filling stage in comparison with the application of polycarbonate(PC)and thermoplastic polyurethane(TPU)films.And the effects of film types on the cellular structure,forming defects and mechanical properties of IMD/MIM parts were also studied experimentally.The results showed that the film types had no obvious effect on the cells size in the transition layer and the mechanical properties of the parts.Under certain film thickness,the offset distance of core layer was the largest with PET film used,while the offset distance was the smallest with TPU film used.And similar results were found for the warpage of the parts.However,an exactly opposite change occurred for the thickness of film-side transition layer and the bubble marks on the surface of the parts.展开更多
Surface modification of graphite anode with electroactive matters has been proven of a more practical strategy in enhancing the performance of Li-ion batteries than exploring alternative novel anode materials.Herein,r...Surface modification of graphite anode with electroactive matters has been proven of a more practical strategy in enhancing the performance of Li-ion batteries than exploring alternative novel anode materials.Herein,rutile TiNbO_(4-x) nanoparticles with a tunnel structure are employed as multifunctional decoration substances in combination with a carbon coating layer to improve the rate and cycle properties of mesocarbon microbeads(MCMBs).As compared to pristine MCMB,the Li^(+)diffusion coefficients of the composite anodes are enhanced due to the synergistic effect of TiNbO_(4-x)@C.Meanwhile,the overcharge and voltage polarization of the composite anodes at high rate are obviously minimized due to the current sharing effect of the high-potential TiNbO_(4-x).Moreover,the amorphous Li_(y)TiNbO_(4-x) converted from TiNbO_(4-x) in the initial lithiation process can deliver pseudocapacitive capacity to the composite anodes from the second cycle.All of these functions of TiNbO_(4-x)@Ccoating layer have directly contributed to the improved rate and cycle performance of the MCMB/TiNbO_(4-x)@C composite anodes.The one containing 12.0 wt%TiNbO_(4-x) exhibits a high reversible specific capacity of 118 m Ah·g^(-1)at 10C(1C=372 m A·g^(-1)),together with a high capacity retention of 90.9%after 300 cycles at 3C,which are all much superior to those of pristine MCMB.展开更多
Transition metal nitrides have become the focus of research in sodium ion batteries(SIBs)due to their unique metal properties and high theoretical capacity.However,the low actual capacity is still the main bottleneck ...Transition metal nitrides have become the focus of research in sodium ion batteries(SIBs)due to their unique metal properties and high theoretical capacity.However,the low actual capacity is still the main bottleneck for their application.Herein,using Mo-aniline frameworks as precursors,the carbon encapsulated nitrogen-rich Mo_(x)N is decorated by few-layered MoSe_(2) nanosheets(MoSe_(2)@Mo_(x)N/C-I)after the facile calcinating,selenizing,and nitriding.The carbon encapsulation can effectively strengthen the structural stability of Mo_(x)N.The nitrogen-rich Mo_(x)N and decoration of few-layered MoSe_(2) can create rich heterointerfaces and extra active sites for rapid sodium-ion storage,thus promoting reaction kinetics and improving actual capacity.The MoSe_(2)@Mo_(x)N/C-I as an anode achieves a large reversible capacity of 522.8 mAh g^(-1)at 0.1 A g^(-1),and 254.3 mAh g^(-1)capacity is obtained after 6000 cycles at 5.0 A g^(-1),showing signally improved sodium-ion storage properties.The storage mechanisms and kinetic behaviors are described systematically via the advanced testing techniques and density functional theory(DFT)calculations.It is found that the nitrogen-rich Mo_(x)N as the substrate is the basis of long cycling stability,and the few-layered MoSe_(2) are the key to improving actual capacity.This work indicates that the decoration of few-layered selenides has a broad application prospect in high-performance metal-ion batteries.展开更多

Herein, we employ polymers of intrinsic microp...Metal-organic frameworks(MOFs) show great potential for various applications, but many of them suffer from the drawbacks of hydrolysis propensity and poor processability. Herein, we employ polymers of intrinsic microporosity(PIMs) with hydrophobic pores to decorate MOFs toward substantially improved water stability and shapeability. Through simple PIM-1 decoration, the sub-5 nm polymer layers can be uniformly deposited on MOF surfaces with almost no deterioration in porosity. Owing to the existence of superhydrophobic coating and the obstruction of water entrance into MOFs, the PIM-1 coated Cu BTC exhibits impressive water resistance and excellent pore preservation ability after exposure in water, even in acidic and alkaline solutions. Moreover, polymer decoration improves the processability of MOFs, while various MOF/PIM-1 bulk wafers and oil-water separators can be obtained straightforwardly.展开更多

文摘Different types of polymer films were used in the combined in-mold decoration and microcellular injection molding(IMD/MIM)process.The multiphase fluid-solid coupled heat transfer model was established to study the thermal response at the melt filling stage in the IMD/MIM process.It was found that the temperature distributed asymmetrically along the thickness direction due to the changed heat transfer coefficient of the melt on the film side.When polyethylene terephthalate(PET)films were applied,the temperature of the melt-film interface increased faster and to be higher at the end of melt filling stage in comparison with the application of polycarbonate(PC)and thermoplastic polyurethane(TPU)films.And the effects of film types on the cellular structure,forming defects and mechanical properties of IMD/MIM parts were also studied experimentally.The results showed that the film types had no obvious effect on the cells size in the transition layer and the mechanical properties of the parts.Under certain film thickness,the offset distance of core layer was the largest with PET film used,while the offset distance was the smallest with TPU film used.And similar results were found for the warpage of the parts.However,an exactly opposite change occurred for the thickness of film-side transition layer and the bubble marks on the surface of the parts.

文摘Surface modification of graphite anode with electroactive matters has been proven of a more practical strategy in enhancing the performance of Li-ion batteries than exploring alternative novel anode materials.Herein,rutile TiNbO_(4-x) nanoparticles with a tunnel structure are employed as multifunctional decoration substances in combination with a carbon coating layer to improve the rate and cycle properties of mesocarbon microbeads(MCMBs).As compared to pristine MCMB,the Li^(+)diffusion coefficients of the composite anodes are enhanced due to the synergistic effect of TiNbO_(4-x)@C.Meanwhile,the overcharge and voltage polarization of the composite anodes at high rate are obviously minimized due to the current sharing effect of the high-potential TiNbO_(4-x).Moreover,the amorphous Li_(y)TiNbO_(4-x) converted from TiNbO_(4-x) in the initial lithiation process can deliver pseudocapacitive capacity to the composite anodes from the second cycle.All of these functions of TiNbO_(4-x)@Ccoating layer have directly contributed to the improved rate and cycle performance of the MCMB/TiNbO_(4-x)@C composite anodes.The one containing 12.0 wt%TiNbO_(4-x) exhibits a high reversible specific capacity of 118 m Ah·g^(-1)at 10C(1C=372 m A·g^(-1)),together with a high capacity retention of 90.9%after 300 cycles at 3C,which are all much superior to those of pristine MCMB.

文摘Transition metal nitrides have become the focus of research in sodium ion batteries(SIBs)due to their unique metal properties and high theoretical capacity.However,the low actual capacity is still the main bottleneck for their application.Herein,using Mo-aniline frameworks as precursors,the carbon encapsulated nitrogen-rich Mo_(x)N is decorated by few-layered MoSe_(2) nanosheets(MoSe_(2)@Mo_(x)N/C-I)after the facile calcinating,selenizing,and nitriding.The carbon encapsulation can effectively strengthen the structural stability of Mo_(x)N.The nitrogen-rich Mo_(x)N and decoration of few-layered MoSe_(2) can create rich heterointerfaces and extra active sites for rapid sodium-ion storage,thus promoting reaction kinetics and improving actual capacity.The MoSe_(2)@Mo_(x)N/C-I as an anode achieves a large reversible capacity of 522.8 mAh g^(-1)at 0.1 A g^(-1),and 254.3 mAh g^(-1)capacity is obtained after 6000 cycles at 5.0 A g^(-1),showing signally improved sodium-ion storage properties.The storage mechanisms and kinetic behaviors are described systematically via the advanced testing techniques and density functional theory(DFT)calculations.It is found that the nitrogen-rich Mo_(x)N as the substrate is the basis of long cycling stability,and the few-layered MoSe_(2) are the key to improving actual capacity.This work indicates that the decoration of few-layered selenides has a broad application prospect in high-performance metal-ion batteries.
文摘By interpreting the definition of "soft decoration",this study puts forward that such a decoration way can keep the weaknesses of a house unexposed,highlight the smart designs,re-divide and recombine interior spaces and fill empty spaces,so that deficiencies of hard decoration in a house can be made up,by playing the role of soft decoration in refining interior spaces and improving their functions.Moreover,it is proposed that "devoting less in hard decoration but more in soft decoration" will be a new trend of interior decoration.

文摘Architectural decoration in Sakya County of post Tibetan area has been included in the treasure house of Tibetan culture and art with its unique charm and characteristics,and it is a wonderful work of Tibetan culture and art.Via the research on temple and residential buildings in Sakya County,taking features of architectural decoration as an opportunity,the style characteristics of decoration of temple and residential buildings in Sakya County are explored.Combining knowledge of color theory,application of architectural decoration in residential houses is explored,and characteristics of architectural decoration in Sakya County are analyzed.

文摘Metal-organic frameworks(MOFs) show great potential for various applications, but many of them suffer from the drawbacks of hydrolysis propensity and poor processability. Herein, we employ polymers of intrinsic microporosity(PIMs) with hydrophobic pores to decorate MOFs toward substantially improved water stability and shapeability. Through simple PIM-1 decoration, the sub-5 nm polymer layers can be uniformly deposited on MOF surfaces with almost no deterioration in porosity. Owing to the existence of superhydrophobic coating and the obstruction of water entrance into MOFs, the PIM-1 coated Cu BTC exhibits impressive water resistance and excellent pore preservation ability after exposure in water, even in acidic and alkaline solutions. Moreover, polymer decoration improves the processability of MOFs, while various MOF/PIM-1 bulk wafers and oil-water separators can be obtained straightforwardly.
