This study examined the effects of sublethal heat treatment on the decimal reduction time (D-values) of three L. monocytogenes serotypes (1/2a, 1/2b, 4c), and non-pathogenic L. innocua. The D70 (D-value at 70℃) values of heat-shocked (HS) and non-heat-shocked (NHS) Listeria grown in tryptic soy broth (TSB) were determined. The D70 values of HS L. monocytogenes serotype 1/2a and L. innocua were significantly higher compared to NHS cultures, although by 48 h, the values returned to NHS levels. When HS and NHS 1/2a and 1/2b were inoculated on crab meat and cooked shrimp, the D70 values of HS cultures were at least 2-fold higher, compared to when they were grown in TSB. This increase in heat resistance for the HS cultures may be attributed to the protective effect of the seafood matrix itself.展开更多

In this study, the effect of heat treatment on the native isolates of Yersinia enterocolitica CFR 2301 and Y. intermedia CFR 2303 revealed the D-values ranging from the lowest of 0.08 min at 65℃ in skim milk/beef gravy to the highest of 18.52 min at 50℃ in beef gravy. The heat sensitivity of both these cultures was in the order of Milli-Q water > 0.85% saline > skim milk > beef gravy. The z-values of the test cultures ranged from 7.55℃ for Y. intermedia to 12.08℃ for Y. enterocolitica. The heat sensitivity in Y. enterocolitica appeared to be related with growth incubation temperatures and also fatty acid profile of cell membrane. The effect of low temperature treatments (–20 ℃, 0℃ and 4℃ for 20 d) in water, saline and skim milk revealed the ability of Y. enterocolitica to survive more efficiently at –20℃, while Y. intermedia was more tolerant at 0℃. In packaged drinking water, Y. enterocolitica could survive and grow at 4℃ and 16℃, while at 30℃, inactivation was rapid. The findings did indicate that heat and cold treatments would not always ensure safety from Y. enterocolitica and Y. intermedia in the food chain.展开更多

This is the basis of combined gravity-magnetic-electric-seismic inversion of stochastic modeling. It is an uncertainty modeling technology of combining gravity-magnetic-electric-seismic inversion built on the basis of separation of field and source gravity-magnetic difference-value (D-value) trend surface, taking distribution-independent fault system as its unit, depths of seismic and electric interfaces of interests as its corresponding bivariate compound reverse function of gravity-magnetic anomalies and using high order polynomial (high order trigonometric function) approximating to its series distribution. The difference from current dominant inversion techniques is that, first, it does not respectively create gravity-seismic, magnetic-seismic deterministic inversion model from theoretical model, but combines gravity-magnetic-electric-seismic stochastic inversion model from stochastic model; second, after the concept of equivalent geological body being introduced, using feature of independent variable of gravity-magnetic field functions, taking density and susceptibility related to gravity-magnetic function as default parameters of model, the deterministic model is established owing to better solution to the contradiction of difficulty in identifying strata and less test analytical data for density and susceptibility in newly explored area; third, under assumption of independent parent distribution, a real modeling by strata, the problem of difficult plane closure arising in profile modeling is avoided. This technology has richer and more detailed fault and strata information than sparse pattern seismic data in newly explored area, successfully inverses and plots structural map of Indosinian discontinuity in Hefei basin with combined gravity-magnetic-electric-seismic inversion. With development of high precision gravity-magnetic and overall geophysical technology, it is certain for introducing new methods of stochastic modeling and computational intelligence and promoting the development of combined gravity-magnetic-electric-seismic inversion to open a new substantial path.展开更多

The result shows that there are obviously anomaly zones of A-value with better prediction effect in the mid-term of 2~3 years before most moderately strong earthquakes. Some problems regarding the mid-term prediction using A-value have been discussed.展开更多
