We have tagged this new class of compounds TACCs (Trisubstituted Aryl Cyclohexanecarboxylate). These new molecules are structural analogues of an Activators of Self-Compartmentalizing Proteases 4 and 5 (ACP 4 and 5), and were synthesized to circumvent the drug-like property (drug-ability) challenges and liability noted in ACP 4 and 5. A pseudo-Robinson annulation protocol was used to furnish this new class of potential antibiotics. Structure-activity relationship (SAR) study was done to identify the pharmacophore(s) in this molecular scaffold. A selection of these compounds was used in our preliminary antibacterial inhibitory activities’ studies on Bacillus mycoides and Bacillus subtilis. These preliminary studies show that the TACCs exhibited equal, and in some cases better, antibacterial activity than ACP 4 and 5.展开更多

The crystal is triclinic,Pspace group with the cell parameters:a=1.2385(6),b=1.2385(6),c=0.9421(5) nm.α=91.69(4)°,β=98.49(4)°,γ=99.16(5)°,Z=2,V=1.436 nm^3.The structure was refined to R value of 0.0866.Each Nd atom is connected with other two Nd atoms by two bidentate and two tridentate carboxyl groups to form a linear polymer. The Nd atom is further coordinated by a chelating carboxyl and two ethanol molecules. So the central atom is nine-coordinated with a distorted monocapped square-antiprism geometry. The infrared spectra and the thermal analysis of the complexes were also studied.展开更多

However, whether they influence eosinophilic airway inflammation-associated cough remains unclear. The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of selective phosphodiesterase 4 inhibitor SB207499 on cough response and airway inflammation in guinea pigs sensitized and challenged with ovalbumin. METHODS: Forty sensitized guinea pigs were randomly divided into four groups: control (n = 10), challenge (n = 10), SB207499 (n = 10) and aminophylline (n = 10), then challenged with aerosol of 1% ovalbumin or saline. Two hours later, animals were intraperitoneally injected with either saline, 25 mg/kg of SB207499 or aminophylline. At the 24th hour, the injection was repeated with 2.5 mg/kg and 25 mg/kg SB207499 or aminophylline, then cough response to inhaled capsaicin and airway responsiveness to methacholine inducing a 150% of the peak airway pressure to the baseline (PC150) was measured. Finally, total cell number and differentials in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid were analysed. RESULTS: The cough frequency per 3 minutes and PC150 in the challenge group were (22 +/- 4) times/3 minutes and (198 +/- 54) microg/ml, which were significantly different from (6 +/- 2) times/3 minutes and (691 +/- 81) microg/ml in the control group (P展开更多
