Formation control remains a critical challenge in cooperative multi-agent systems,particularly for Unmanned Underwater Vehicles(UUVs).Conventional approaches often suffer from several limitations,including reliance on...Formation control remains a critical challenge in cooperative multi-agent systems,particularly for Unmanned Underwater Vehicles(UUVs).Conventional approaches often suffer from several limitations,including reliance on global information,limited adaptability,high computational complexity,and poor scalability.To address these issues,we propose a novel bio-inspired formation control method for UUV swarms,drawing inspiration from the self-organizing behavior of fish schools.Our method integrates three key components:(1)a coordinated motion strategy without predefined targets that enables individual UUVs to align their movements via simple left or right rotations based solely on local neighbor interactions;(2)a target-directed movement strategy that guides UUVs toward specified regions;and(3)a dispersion control strategy that prevents overcrowding by regulating local spatial distributions.Simulation results confirm that the method achieves robust formation control and efficient area coverage using only local perception.Validation in a 9-UUV simulation environment demonstrates the approach’s flexibility,decentralization,and computational efficiency,making it particularly suitable for large-scale swarms with limited sensing and processing capabilities.展开更多

Soft rock is one of the common geological conditions in coal mine underground water reservoir engineering.The cross-scale correlation analysis of water erosion soft lithology deterioration is very important for the sa...Soft rock is one of the common geological conditions in coal mine underground water reservoir engineering.The cross-scale correlation analysis of water erosion soft lithology deterioration is very important for the safety and stability of coal mine underground reservoir(CMUR)engineering.To address the issues of grain crowding and segmentation difficulties in cross-scale corelation analysis,as well as the limitations of traditional etching methods,this study proposes an image grain segmentation method based on deep learning algorithms,utilizing scanning electron microscopy and image process-ing techniques.The method successfully segments crowded grains and eliminates the interference from misplaced particles.In addition,indoor uniaxial compression tests were conducted to obtain the mechanical properties of sandstone samples with different water content.By quantitatively characterizing the macroscopic and microscopic deterioration degree of red sandstone samples with different water contents,the relationship between the strength changes of rock samples and the pet-rographic parameters such as grain size and grain shape is analyzed,and the influence law of soft lithology deterioration in CMUR engineering is revealed.The results indicate:(1)Water significantly weakens the mechanical properties and stability of soft rock.With increasing water content,the strength of sandstone samples continuously decreases,and the failure mode transitions from brittle to ductile failure.(2)The deterioration of micro-micro structures is the main cause of the decrease in mechanical properties of water-eroded soft rock.Grain size,grain area,and aspect ratio are negatively correlated with water content,indicating that hydrophilic minerals in soft rock dissolve under the action of water,leading to rock damage.(3)Grain size,area,and aspect ratio can serve as significant indicators for quantifying the strength changes of water-eroded soft rock.The research findings can be applied to stability assessment and disaster prevention in CMUR engineering.展开更多

Within the method, the experimental design criterion directly affects the accuracy of...Experiment design method is a key to construct a highly reliable surrogate model for numerical optimization in large-scale project. Within the method, the experimental design criterion directly affects the accuracy of the surrogate model and the optimization efficient. According to the shortcomings of the traditional experimental design, an improved adaptive sampling method is proposed in this paper. The surrogate model is firstly constructed by basic sparse samples. Then the supplementary sampling position is detected according to the specified criteria, which introduces the energy function and curvature sampling criteria based on radial basis function (RBF) network. Sampling detection criteria considers both the uniformity of sample distribution and the description of hypersurface curvature so as to significantly improve the prediction accuracy of the surrogate model with much less samples. For the surrogate model constructed with sparse samples, the sample uniformity is an important factor to the interpolation accuracy in the initial stage of adaptive sam- pling and surrogate model training. Along with the improvement of uniformity, the curvature description of objective function surface gradually becomes more important. In consideration of these issues, crowdness enhance function and root mean square error (RMSE) feedback function are introduced in C criterion expression. Thus, a new sampling method called RMSE and crowd- ness enhance (RCE) adaptive sampling is established. The validity of RCE adaptive sampling method is studied through typical test function firstly and then the airfoil/wing aerodynamic opti- mization design problem, which has high-dimensional design space. The results show that RCE adaptive sampling method not only reduces the requirement for the number of samples, but also effectively improves the prediction accuracy of the surrogate model, which has a broad prospects for applications.展开更多
