The occurrence of strong earthquakes along Chile and the sunspots activity are analyzed to inspect possible influence of solar cycles on earthquakes. Dengue is one of the most prominent tropical epidemic diseases present in the Rio de Janeiro city and Southeast part of Brazil, due to the widespread conditions of occurrence of the dengue vector, the mosquito Aedesae...Dengue is one of the most prominent tropical epidemic diseases present in the Rio de Janeiro city and Southeast part of Brazil, due to the widespread conditions of occurrence of the dengue vector, the mosquito Aedesaegypti, such as high-temperature days interlaced with afternoon or nocturnal rainstorms in summer. This work has the objective of investigating the relationships between variabilities of the El Ni?o-South Oscillation (ENSO) and greater epidemics of dengue in Rio de Janeiro city. To accomplish this goal, the analysis and signal decomposition by cross-wavelet transform (WT) was applied to obtain the cross variability associated with variations of power and phase of both signals by characteristic periods and along with the time series. Data considered in the analysis are (the decimal logarithm of normalized value) of the monthly available notifications of dengue worsening, provided by the public health system of Brazil, and the Southern Oscillation Index (SOI) Ni?o 3.4 data, provided by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), in the period 2000-2017. A maximum cross-wavelet power close to 0.45 was obtained for the representative period of 1 year and also to periods between 3 and 4 years, associated with the positive phase of the SOI index (i.e. , La Ni?a) or with a transition to the positive phase. The evolution of the combined variability of SOI and dengue can be expressed by progressive differences in phase along the time, eventually resulting in yielding phases (i.e., La Niña-Dengue epidemic).展开更多

Existing methods monitor overall signal variation. However, the signals produced by metal burn are always weak. Therefore, the detection rate of grinding burn still needs to be improved. The paper presents a novel grinding burn detection method basing on acoustic emission(AE) signals. It is achieved by establishing the coherence relationship of pure metal burn and grinding burn signals. Firstly, laser and grinding experiments were carried out to produce pure metal burn signals and grinding burn signals. No-burn and burn surfaces were generated and AE signals were captured separately. Then, the cross wavelet transform(XWT) and wavelet coherence(WTC) were applied to reveal the coherence relationship of the pure metal burn signal and grinding burn signal. The methods can reduce unwanted AE sources and background noise. Novel parameters based on XWT and WTC are proposed to quantify the degree of coherence and monitor the grinding burn. The grinding burn signals were recognized successfully by the proposed indexes under same grinding condition.展开更多

针对真实环境下采集的病害图像中存在的大量噪声和复杂背景干扰,导致作物病害识别准确性和泛化性低的问题,该研究提出基于自适应BayesShrink和频-空特征融合的作物病害识别方法(adaptive BayesShrink and frequencyspatial domain featu...针对真实环境下采集的病害图像中存在的大量噪声和复杂背景干扰,导致作物病害识别准确性和泛化性低的问题,该研究提出基于自适应BayesShrink和频-空特征融合的作物病害识别方法(adaptive BayesShrink and frequencyspatial domain features fusion, AFSF-DCT)。首先,设计了自适应BayesShrink算法(Ad-BayesShrink)以减少噪声干扰,同时保留更多细节,降低识别模型提取病害特征的难度。然后提出基于频-空特征融合和动态交叉自注意机制的作物病害识别模型(crop leaf disease identification model based on frequency-spatial features fusion and dynamic cross-self-attention,FSF-DCT)。为实现全面的频-空特征映射,设计了基于离散小波变换(discrete wavelet transform,DWT)和倒残差结构(bneck)的频-空特征映射(DWT-Bneck)分支以捕获多尺度病害特征。频域分支设计了基于2D DWT的特征映射模块(2D DWT-based frequency-features decomposition module, DWFD)以捕获病害细节和纹理,用于补充空间域特征在全局信息表达上的不足。空间域分支在bneck中引入CBAM(convolutional block attention module)和Dynamic Shift Max激活函数以实现全面的空间特征映射。最后设计了动态交叉自注意特征融合模块(multi-scale features fusion network based on dynamic cross-self-attention, MDCS-DF)融合频-空特征并增强模型对病害特征的关注。结果表明,Ad-BayesShrink获得了35.78的最高峰值信噪比,优于VisuShrink和SUREShrink。FSF-DCT在自建数据集和2个开源数据集(PlantVillage和AI challenger 2018)上分别获得了99.20%、99.90%和90.75%的识别精度,且具有较小的参数量(7.48 M)和浮点运算数(4.62 G),优于当前大部分的主流识别模型。AFSF-DCT可为复杂背景下的作物叶片病害的快速精准检测提供模型参考。展开更多

In this paper,the Multi-Temporal Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar(MT-InSAR)technology is adopted to monitor the Line of Sight(LOS)displacement of Fushun West Opencast Coal Mine(FWOCM)and its surrounding areas ...In this paper,the Multi-Temporal Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar(MT-InSAR)technology is adopted to monitor the Line of Sight(LOS)displacement of Fushun West Opencast Coal Mine(FWOCM)and its surrounding areas in northeast China using Sentinel-1 Synthetic Aperture Radar(SAR)images acquired from 2018 to 2022.The spatial-temporal evolution of urban subsidence and the south-slope landslide are both analyzed in detail.Comparison with ground measurements and cross-correlation analysis via cross wavelet transform with monthly precipitation data are also conducted,to analyze the influence factors of displacements in FWOCM.The monitoring results show that a subsidence basin appeared in the urban area near the eastern part of the north slope in 2018,with settlement center located at the intersection of E3000 and fault F1.The Qian Tai Shan(QTS)landslide on the south slope,which experienced rapid sliding during 2014 to 2016,presents seasonal deceleration and acceleration with precipitation,with the maximum displacement in vicinity of the Liushan paleochannel.The results of this paper have fully taken in account for the complications of large topographic relief,geological conditions,spatial distribution and temporal evolution characteristics of surface displacements in opencast mining area.The wide range and long time series dynamic monitoring of opencast mine are of great significance to ensure mine safety production and geological disaster prevention in the investigated mining area.展开更多
