A hardware/software co-synthesis method is presented for SoC designs consisting of both hardware IP cores and software components on a graph-theoretic formulation. Given a SoC integrated with a set of functions and a ...A hardware/software co-synthesis method is presented for SoC designs consisting of both hardware IP cores and software components on a graph-theoretic formulation. Given a SoC integrated with a set of functions and a set of performance factors, a core for each function is selected from a set of alternative IP cores and software components, and optimal partitions is found in a way to evenly balance the performance factors and to ultimately reduce the overall cost, size, power consumption and runtime of the core-based SoC. The algorithm formulates IP cores and components into the corresponding mathematical models, presents a graph-theoretic model for finding the optimal partitions of SoC design and transforms SoC hardware/software co-synthesis problem into finding optimal paths in a weighted, directed graph. Overcoming the three main deficiencies of the traditional methods, this method can work automatically, evaluate more performance factors at the same time and meet the particularity of SoC designs. At last, the approach is illustrated that is practical and effective through partitioning a practical system.展开更多

Therefore, pure shear is dominant in the ESE part of the XMCC while simple shear becomes increasingly important towards WNW. However, the shear type does not change with the strain across the shear zone, thus the variation of shear type is of significance in indicating the formation mechanism. The granitic plutons within the XMCC came from the deep source and their emplacement was an active and forceful upwelling prior to the detachment faulting. The PTt path demonstrates that magmatism is an important cause for the formation of the XMCC. The formation mechanism of the XMCC is supposed to be active plutonism and passive detachment. Crustal thickening and magmatic doming caused necking extension with pure shear, and magmatic heating and doming resulted in detachment extension with simple shear and formed the XMCC.展开更多

The paper is devoted to mathematical modelling of static and dynamic stability of a simply supported three-layered beam with a metal foam core. Mechanical properties of the core vary along the vertical direction. The ...The paper is devoted to mathematical modelling of static and dynamic stability of a simply supported three-layered beam with a metal foam core. Mechanical properties of the core vary along the vertical direction. The field of displacements is for- mulated using the classical broken line hypothesis and the proposed nonlinear hypothesis that generalizes the classical one. Using both hypotheses, the strains are determined as well as the stresses of each layer. The kinetic energy, the elastic strain energy, and the work of load are also determined. The system of equations of motion is derived using Hamilton's principle. Finally, the system of three equations is reduced to one equation of motion, in particular, the Mathieu equation. The Bubnov-Galerkin method is used to solve the system of equations of motion, and the Runge-Kutta method is used to solve the second-order differential equation. Numerical calculations are done for the chosen family of beams. The critical loads, unstable regions, angular frequencies of the beam, and the static and dynamic equilibrium paths are calculated analytically and verified numerically. The results of this study are presented in the forms of figures and tables.展开更多
