Immersion cooling is known for high efficiency and excellent temperature uniformity. To address the high energy consumption of secondary cooling loops in vehicles for cooling immersion oil, this paper proposes a method of immersion coupled cooling tubes. Battery heat is directly absorbed by the immersion liquid and rapidly dissipated via cooling water in the S-type cooling tube(SCT). This work investigated the effects of structural parameters, immersion fluid medium, and operating parameters on the cooling performance of the BTMS. The results showed that the fin height(h_(f)) has no significant effect on the cooling performance. Both Transformer Oil and HFE-7100 delivered outstanding thermal management, reaching a maximum of 36.73℃ and 41.39℃ while maintaining narrow temperature differences of only 3.70℃ and 2.09℃ apart, respectively. When the ambient temperature reached 40℃ and HFE-7100 was used as the immersion liquid, the maximum temperature difference remained consistently below 3℃. Subsequently, a sensitivity analysis was conducted on the respective influential parameters. It was found that inlet water temperature(T_(in)) and immersion fluids exert the most significant influence on the system performance. Finally, different immersion cooling schemes were compared, which demonstrated the advantages of the system proposed in this study under harsh condition, thereby supporting the application of different schemes under various scenarios. It can be directly integrated with the vehicle-mounted cooling circuit system, thereby reducing energy consumption and weight, and offering new insights for research on thermal management systems for EVs.展开更多

文摘Radiative cooling textiles with spectrally selective surfaces offer a promising energy-efficient approach for sub-ambient cooling of outdoor objects and individuals. However, the spectrally selective mid-infrared emission of these textiles significantly hinders their efficient radiative heat exchange with self-heated objects, thereby posing a significant challenge to their versatile cooling applicability.Herein,we present a bicomponent blow spinning strategy for the production of scalable,ultra-flexible,and healable textiles featuring a tailored dual gradient in both chemical composition and fiber diameter. The gradient in the fiber diameter of this textile introduces a hierarchically porous structure across the sunlight incident area, thereby achieving a competitive solar reflectivity of 98.7%on its outer surface.Additionally, the gradient in the chemical composition of this textile contributes to the formation of Janus infrared-absorbing surfaces:The outer surface demonstrates a high mid-infrared emission, whereas the inner surface shows a broad infrared absorptivity, facilitating radiative heat exchange with underlying self-heated objects.Consequently, this textile demonstrates multi-scenario radiative cooling capabilities, enabling versatile outdoor cooling for unheated objects by 7.8℃ and self-heated objects by 13.6℃,compared to commercial sunshade fabrics.

文摘The high-alloyed wrought superalloy GH4975 tends to form coarse MC carbides and eutectic(γ+γ′)phases, which adversely affect the cogging and homogenization process. To provide theoretical guidance for control of MC carbides and eutectic(γ+γ′)formation, differential thermal analysis(DTA)was utilized to investigate the effect of cooing rate(10-90℃·min^(-1))on solidification behavior and micro-segregation of GH4975 alloy.According to the thermodynamic calculation and distribution characteristics of precipitates, the MC carbides can act as nucleation sites forγdendrites, but the nucleation ofγdendrites becomes less dependent on the MC carbide primers at higher cooling rates. As theγdendrites grow, the elements including Ti and Nb gradually accumulate in the residual liquid and leads to the formation of more MC carbides near the interdendritic region. Finally, the solidification is terminated with the formation of eutectic(γ+γ′).With an increase in cooling rate, the liquidus temperature rises, but the solidus temperature decreases, and thus the solidification range is obviously enlarged. The dendritic structure is significantly refined by the increase of cooling rate. The secondary dendrite arm spacing,λ_(2),as a function of cooling rate,T,can be expressed asλ_(2)=216.78T^(-0.42).Moreover,the increasing cooling rate weakens the back diffusion of Al,Ti,and Nb,increases the undercooling, and limits the growth of precipitates.Consequently, the sizes of MC carbides, eutectic(γ+γ′),and primaryγ′significantly decrease, but the area fraction of eutectic(γ+γ′)linerly increases as the cooling rate rises. Thus moderate cooling rate(such as 30℃·min^(-1))should be selected during the solidification process of GH4975 alloy.

文摘Van der Waals(vdW)heterostructures have attracted much attention due to their distinctive optical, electrical, and thermal properties, demonstrating promising potential in areas such as photocatalysis, ultrafast photonics, and free electron radiation devices.Particularly, they are promising platforms for studying thermionic emission. It is illustrated that using vdW heterostructure-based thermionic emission can enhance heat transfer in vacuum devices. As a proof of concept, the approach is demonstrated to offer a promising solution for the long-standing overheating issue in X-ray tubes.Specifically,it is shown that the saturated target temperature of a 2000 W X-ray tube can be reduced from around 1200℃ to 490℃.Additionally,it is also demonstrated that by reducing the height of the Schottky barrier formed in the vdW heterostructures, the thermionic cooling performance can be enhanced. The findings pave the way for the development of high-power X-ray tubes.

文摘This work examines the microstructure and corrosion properties of fine-grained Al 7075 across different regions under varying cooling conditions during friction stir welding. The findings demonstrate that forced cooling significantly improves the corrosion resistance of the welded joints.Specifically, the corrosion resistance was the highest in the stir zone, followed by the thermo-mechanical affected zone, and then the heat affected zone.Forced cooling mitigates grain growth by controlling the welding thermal effects, thereby increasing the proportion ofΣ3 grain boundaries. The modification of these microstructural characteristics promotes the formation of a dense oxide layer, thereby enhancing the corrosion resistance.Furthermore, forced cooling mitigates the precipitation and coarsening of the anodic phase in the stir zone, which in turn reduces the susceptibility of the joint to pitting corrosion.Additionally, the lower recrystallization texture content in the joint, resulting from forced cooling, contributes to a reduction in the number of corrosion-active sites, thereby further improving the corrosion performance of the welded joint.
文摘This article presents an adaptive intelligent control strategy applied to a lumped-parameter evaporator model,i.e.,a simplified dynamic representation treating the evaporator as a single thermal node with uniform temperature distribution, suitable for control design due to its balance between physical fidelity and computational simplicity. The controller uses a wavelet-based neural proportional, integral, derivative(PID)controller with IIR filtering(infinite impulse response). The dynamic model captures the essential heat and mass transfer phenomena through a nonlinear energy balance, where the cooling capacity“Qevap”is expressed as a non-linear function of the compressor frequency and the temperature difference,specifically,Q_(evap)=k_(1)u(T_(in)−T_(e))with u as compressor frequency,Te evaporator temperature, and Tin inlet fluid temperature. The operating conditions of the system,in general terms, focus on the following variables, the overall thermal capacity is 1000 J/K,typical for small-capacity heat exchangers,The mass flow is 0.05 kg/s,typical for secondary liquid cooling circuits, the overall loss coefficient of 50 W/K that corresponds to small evaporators with partial insulation, the temperatures(inlet)of 10℃and the temperature of environment of 25℃,thermal load of 200 W that corresponds to a small-scaled air conditioning applications. To handle system nonlinearities and improve control performance,aMorlet wavelet-based neural network(Wavenet)is used to dynamically adjust the PID gains online. An IIR filter is incorporated to smooth the adaptive gains, improving stability and reducing oscillations. In contrast to prior wavelet-or neural-adaptive PID controllers in HVAC applications, which typically adjust gains without explicit filtering or not tailored to evaporator dynamics, this work introduces the first PID–Wavenet scheme augmented with an IIR-based stabilization layer, specifically designed to address the combined challenges of nonlinear evaporator behavior, gain oscillation, and real-time implementability. The proposed controller(PID-Wavenet+IIR)is implemented and validated inMATLAB/Simulink,demonstrating superior performance compared to a conventional PID tuned using Simulink’s auto-tuning function.Key results include a reduction in settling time from 13.3 to 8.2 s,a reduction in overshoot from 3.5%to 0.8%,a reduction in steady-state error from 0.12℃ to 0.02℃and a 13%reduction in energy overall consumption. The controller also exhibits greater robustness and adaptability under varying thermal loads. This explicit integration of wavelet-driven adaptation with IIR-filtered gain shaping constitutes the main methodological contribution and novelty of the work. These findings validate the effectiveness of the wavelet-based adaptive approach for advanced thermal management in refrigeration and HVAC systems, with potential applications in controlling variable-speed compressors, liquid chillers, and compact cooling units.

文摘This study aims to mitigate crosswind-induced performance degradation in Natural Draft Dry Cooling Towers used in power plants by developing and assessing windbreak configurations that enhance ventilation while minimizing additional airflow resistance.Three novel windbreak designs, namely single-windbreak configuration with curved profile,double-windbreak configuration with curved profile, and double-windbreak configuration with inverted curved profile, are proposed accordingly and evaluated against conventional solutions.Three-dimensional numerical models of a 120 m high NDDCT equipped with these windbreaks, together with a conventional Y-shaped windbreak, are developed for systematic comparison. The results demonstrate that windbreak effectiveness strongly depends on crosswind intensity. At low crosswind speeds of 0-6 m/s,the Y-shaped windbreak provides the greatest enhancement, increasing the ventilation rate by 25.45%and the heat rejection rate by 21.37%at 6 m/s compared with the no-windbreak configuration. In contrast, under moderate to strong crosswinds of 6-18 m/s,the single-windbreak configuration with curved profile exhibits superior performance. At 18 m/s,it increases the ventilation rate by 148.88%and the heat rejection rate by 79.74%relative to the baseline case, outperforming the Y-shaped windbreak by 26.59%in ventilation rate and 17.01%in heat rejection capacity.Analysis of airflow structure, temperature fields, and velocity distributions confirms that the single-windbreak configuration with curved profile more effectively suppresses crosswind penetration and promotes stable upward airflow at higher wind speeds.Based on a comprehensive assessment of aerodynamic and thermal performance, the Y-shaped windbreak is recommended for regions where crosswind speeds remain below 6 m/s,whereas the single-windbreak configuration with curved profile is preferable for sites exposed to stronger crosswinds exceeding this threshold.

文摘Energy-saving buildings(ESBs)are an emerging green technology that can significantly reduce building-associated cooling and heating energy consumption, catering to the desire for carbon neutrality and sustainable development of society.Smart photovoltaic windows(SPWs)offer a promising platform for designing ESBs because they present the capability to regulate and harness solar energy. With frequent outbreaks of extreme weather all over the world, the achievement of exceptional energy-saving effect under different weather conditions is an inevitable trend for the development of ESBs but is hardly achieved via existing SPWs.Here,we substantially reduce the driving voltage of polymerdispersed liquid crystals(PDLCs)by 28.1%via molecular engineering while maintaining their high solar transmittance(T_(sol)=83.8%,transparent state)and solar modulating ability(ΔT_(sol)=80.5%).By the assembly of perovskite solar cell and a broadband thermal-managing unit encompassing the electrical-responsive PDLCs,transparent high-emissivity SiO_(2) passive radiation-cooling,and Ag low-emissivity layers possesses,we present a tri-band regulation and split-type SPW possessing superb energy-saving effect in all-season.The perovskite solar cell can produce the electric power to stimulate the electrical-responsive behavior of the PDLCs,endowing the SPWs zero-energy input solar energy regulating characteristic, and compensate the daily energy consumption needed for ESBs.Moreover, the scalable manufacturing technology holds a great potential for the real-world applications.

文摘To achieve the goals of sustainable development of the energy system and the construction of a lowcarbon society, this study proposes a multi-energy storage collaborative optimization strategy for industrial park that integrates the laddered carbon trading mechanism with demand response.Firstly,a dual dimensional DR model is constructed based on the characteristics of load elasticity. The alternativeDRenables flexible substitution of energy loads through complementary conversion of electricity/heat/cold multi-energy sources, while the price DR relies on timeof-use electricity price signals to guide load spatiotemporal migration;Secondly, the LCT mechanism is introduced to achieve optimal carbon emission costs through a tiered carbon quota allocation mechanism. On this basis,an optimization decision model is established with the core objective of maximizing the annual net profit of the park. The objective function takes into account energy sales revenue, generator unit costs, and investment and operation costs of multiple types of energy storage facilities.Themodel constraint system covers three key dimensions:dynamic operation constraints of power generation units, including unit output limits, ramping capability, and minimum start-stop time;the physical boundary of an electric/hot/cold multi-energy storage system involves energy storage capacity and charge/discharge efficiency; The multi-energy network coupling balance equation ensures that the energy conversion and transmission process satisfies the law of conservation of energy.Using CPLEX mathematical programming solver for simulation verification, construct an energy storage capacity configuration decision process that includes LCT-DR synergistic effect. The research results show that compared with the traditional single energy storage configuration mode, this strategy effectively enhances the economic feasibility and engineering practicality of industrial park operation by coordinating demand side resource scheduling and finely controlling carbon costs, while maintaining stable system operation. Its methodological framework provides a technical path that combines theoretical rigor and practical operability for the low-carbon transformation of regional integrated energy systems.
文摘Shared energy storage helps lower user investment costs and enhances energy efficiency, which is considered a pivotal driver in accelerating the green transition of energy sectors. In view of the increasing demand for hydrogen, this paper proposes a bi-level optimization of configurations and scheduling for combined cooling, heating, and power(CCHP)microgrid systems considering shared hybrid electric-hydrogen energy storage service. The upper-level model addresses the capacity allocation problem of energy storage stations, while the lower-level model optimizes the operational strategies for the multi-microgrid system(MMS).To resolve the complexity of the coupled bi-level problem,Karush-Kuhn-Tucker(KKT)conditions and the Big-M method are applied to reformulate it into a solvable mixed-integer linear programming(MILP)model, compatible with CPLEX.The economic viability and rationality of the proposed approach are verified through comparisons of three cases.Numerical results show that the proposed approach reduces user annual costs by 20.15%compared to MMS without additional energy storage equipment and achieves 100%renewable absorption. For operators,it yields 5.71 M CNY annual profit with 3.02-year payback.Compared to MMS with electricity sharing,it further cuts user costs by 3.84%,boosts operator profit by 60.71%,and shortens payback by 15.88%.

文摘High-concentration photovoltaic(HCPV)systems present significant thermal management challenges due to the intense heat fluxes generated under concentrated solar irradiation, especially in arid environments.Effective heat dissipation is critical to prevent performance degradation and structural failure. This study investigates the thermal performance and design optimization of an enhanced HCPV module, integrating numerical, analytical, and experimental methods.A coupled optical-thermal-electrical model was developed to simulate ray tracing, heat transfer, and temperature-dependent electrical behaviour, with predictions validated under real-world desert conditions.Compared to a baseline commercial module operating at 106℃,the optimized design achieved a peak temperature reduction of 16℃,lowering the cell temperature to 90℃under a concentration ratio of 961×and direct normal irradiance(DNI)of 950 W/m^(2).The total thermal resistance was reduced from 0.25 to 0.15 K/W(a 40%improvement),and the electrical efficiency increased from 37.5%to 38.6%,representing a relative gain of approximately 3.1%.The system consistently maintained a fill factor exceeding 78%,underscoring stable performance under high thermal load. These findings demonstrate that targeted thermal design, informed by integrated modeling,is essential for unlocking the reliability and efficiency of high-flux solar energy systems.
