A Langevin delayed fractional system with multiple delays in control,is a delayed fractional system that includes delay parameters in both state and control,is first introduced.This paper is devoted to investigating the relative controllability of the Langevin delayed fractional system with multiple delays in control.For linear systems to be relatively controllable,necessary and sufficient circumstances are identified by introducing and employing the Gramian matrix.The sufficient conditions for the relative controllability of semilinear systems are ofered based on Schauder's fixed point theorem.As an unusual approach,the controllability results of the delayed system are built for the first time on the exact solution produced by the MittagLeffler type function although controllability ones in the literature are built on the Volterra integral equations or the mild solutions produced by resolvent families. 展开更多

Hilbert−Huang Time-Delay Compensation Control Strategy Based on Gauss-DeepAR for Ship Heave Motion Prediction

The prediction and compensation control of marine ship motion is crucial for ensuring the safety of offshore wind turbine loading and unloading operations.However,the accuracy of prediction and control is significantly affected by the hysteresis phenomenon in the wave compensation system.To address this issue,a ship heave motion prediction is proposed in this paper on the basis of the Gauss-DeepAR(AR stands for autoregressive recurrent)model and the Hilbert−Huang time-delay compensation control strategy.Initially,the zero upward traveling wave period of the level 4−6 sea state ship heave motion is analyzed,which serves as the input sliding window for the Gauss-DeepAR prediction model,and probability predictions at different wave direction angles are conducted.Next,considering the hysteresis characteristics of the ship heave motion compensation platform,the Hilbert−Huang transform is employed to analyze and calculate the hysteresis delay of the compensation platform.After the optimal control action value is subsequently calculated,simulations and hardware platform tests are conducted.The simulation results demonstrated that the Gauss-DeepAR model outperforms autoregressive integrated moving average model(ARIMA),support vector machine(SVM),and longshort-term memory(LSTM)in predicting non-independent identically distributed datasets at a 90°wave direction angle in the level 4−6 sea states.Furthermore,the model has good predictive performance and generalizability for non-independent and non-uniformly distributed datasets at a 180°wave direction angle.The hardware platform compensation test results revealed that the Hilbert–Huang method has an outstanding effect on determining the hysteretic delay and selecting the optimal control action value,and the compensation efficiency was higher than 90%in the level 4−6 sea states. 展开更多

Communication delays are inherently present in information exchange between space- craft and have an effect on the control performance of spacecraft formation. In this work, attitude coordination control of spacecraft formation is addressed, which is in the presence of multiple communication delays between spacecraft. Virtual system-based approach is utilized in case that a constant reference attitude is available to only a part of the spacecraft. The feedback from the virtual systems to the spacecraft formation is introduced to maintain the formation. Using backstepping control method, input torque of each spacecraft is designed such that the attitude of each spacecraft converges asymptotically to the states of its corresponding virtual system. Furthermore, the back- stepping technique and the Lyapunov-Krasovskii method contribute to the control law design when the reference attitude is time-varying and can be obtained by each spacecraft. Finally, effectiveness of the proposed methodology is illustrated by the numerical simulations of a spacecraft formation. 展开更多

This paper studied the application of minimum description length (MDL) criterion for estimating root-mean-squared (RMS) delay spread (RDS) for MIMO OFDM systems. The analytic relationship between the powers and the correlation matrix of multipath components established the feasibility of the application of the MDL criterion to RDS estimation. The estimator presented both the estimate of instantaneous RDS and the estimates of noise variance, channel power and SNR of current channel with low computational complexity. Given the powers of the estimated multipath components, the MDL criterion was adopted to acquire the number of paths and the time delays of each path of current channel without making eigendecomposition of the correlation matrix normally required by MDL criterion, following which the noise variance and the power of each path can be estimated. The power delay profile (PDP) and RDS of the current channel were achieved. Simulation results showed that the proposed estimator was insensitive to variance of SNR and robust against frequency-selectivity. 展开更多

In this paper,attitude coordinated tracking control algorithms for multiple spacecraft formation are investigated with consideration of parametric uncertainties,external disturbances,communication delays and actuator saturation.Initially,a sliding mode delay-dependent attitude coordinated controller is proposed under bounded external disturbances.However,neither inertia uncertainty nor actuator constraint has been taken into account.Then,a robust saturated delaydependent attitude coordinated control law is further derived,where uncertainties and external disturbances are handled by Chebyshev neural networks(CNN).In addition,command filter technique is introduced to facilitate the backstepping design procedure,through which actuator saturation problem is solved.Thus the spacecraft in the formation are able to track the reference attitude trajectory even in the presence of time-varying communication delays.Rigorous analysis is presented by using Lyapunov-Krasovskii approach to demonstrate the stability of the closed-loop system under both control algorithms.Finally,the numerical examples are carried out to illustrate the efficiency of the theoretical results. 展开更多

For the position tracking control of hydraulic manipulators,a novel method of time delay control(TDC) with continuous nonsingular terminal sliding mode(CNTSM) was proposed in this work.Complex dynamics of the hydraulic manipulator is approximately canceled by time delay estimation(TDE),which means the proposed method is model-free and no prior knowledge of the dynamics is required.Moreover,the CNTSM term with a fast-TSM-type reaching law ensures fast convergence and high-precision tracking control performance under heavy lumped uncertainties.Despite its considerable robustness against lumped uncertainties,the proposed control scheme is continuous and chattering-free and no pressure sensors are required in practical applications.Theoretical analysis and experimental results show that faster and higher-precision position tracking performance is achieved compared with the traditional CNTSM-based TDC method using boundary layers. 展开更多

According to some researches, time delay is not always constant and can be viewed as a periodic function of time for some cases. In this work, an internet congestion control model is consid- ered to study the time-varying delay induced bursting-like motion, which consists of a rapid oscillation burst and quies- cent steady state. Then, for the system with periodic delay of small amplitude and low frequency, the method of multiple scales is employed to obtain the amplitude of the oscillation. Based on the expression of the asymptotic solution, it can be found that the relative length of the steady state increases with amplitude of the variation of time delay and decreases with frequency of the variation of time delay. Finally, an effective method to control the bursting-like motion is pro- posed by introducing a periodic gain parameter with appropriate amplitude. Theoretical results are in agreement with that from numerical method. 展开更多

In this paper, a new model identification method is developed for a class of delay fractional-order system based on the process step response. Four characteristic functions are defined to characterize the features of the normalized fractional-order model. Based on the time scaling technology, two identification schemes are proposed for parameters U+02BC estimation. The scheme one utilizes three exact points on the step response of the process to calculate model parameters directly. The other scheme employs optimal searching method to adjust the fractional order for the best model identification. The proposed two identification schemes are both applicable to any stable complex process, such as higher-order, under-damped U+002F over-damped, and minimum-phase U+002F nonminimum-phase processes. Furthermore, an optimal PID tuning method is proposed for the delay fractional-order systems. The requirements on the stability margins and the negative feedback are cast as real part constraints U+0028 RPC U+0029 and imaginary part constraints U+0028 IPC U+0029. The constraints are implemented by trigonometric inequalities on the phase variable, and the optimal PID controller is obtained by the minimization of the integral of time absolute error U+0028 ITAE U+0029 index. Wide area damping controller(WADC) is usually utilized to damp interarea low frequency oscillation in power system. However, conventional WADC design method neglects the influence of signal transmission delay and damping performance of WADC designed by the conventional method may deteriorate or even has no effect when signal transmission delay is beyond delay margin, an index that denotes delay endurance degree of power system. Therefore, a new design method for WADC under the condition of expected damping factor and required signal transmission delay is presented in this work. An improved delay margin with less conservatism is derived by adopting a new Lyapunov-Krasovskii function and more compact bounding technique on the derivative of Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional. The improved delay margin, which constructs the correlation of damping factor and signal transmission delay, can be used to design WADC. WADC designed by the proposed method can ensure that power system satisfies expected damping factor when WADC input signal is delayed within delay margin. Satisfactory test results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. 展开更多

We first review the multi-objective optimization problem and its formulation for control design. We then introduce the cell mapping method and a hybrid algorithm for global optimal solutions. We studied the response of harmonically and stochastically excited strongly nonlinear oscillators with delayed feedback bang-bang control using the stochastic averaging method. First, the time-delayed feedback bang-bang control force is expressed approximately in terms of the system state variables without time delay. Then the averaged It6 stochastic differential equations for the system are derived using the stochastic averaging method. Finally, the response of the system is obtained by solving the Fokker-Plank-Kolmogorov (FPK) equation associated with the averaged lt6 equations. A Duffing oscillator with time-delayed feedback bang-bang control under combined harmonic and white noise excitations is taken as an example to illus- trate the proposed method. The analytical results are confirmed by digital simulation. We found that the time delay in feedback bang-bang control will deteriorate the control effectiveness and cause bifurcation of stochastic jump of Duffing oscillator. 展开更多

The reconstruction control of modular self-reconfigurable spacecraft (MSRS) is addressed using an adaptive sliding mode control (ASMC) scheme based on time-delay estimation (TDE) technology. In contrast to the ground, the base of the MSRS is floating when assembled in orbit, resulting in a strong dynamic coupling effect. A TED-based ASMC technique with exponential reaching law is designed to achieve high-precision coordinated control between the spacecraft base and the robotic arm. TDE technology is used by the controller to compensate for coupling terms and uncertainties, while ASMC can augment and improve TDE’s robustness. To suppress TDE errors and eliminate chattering, a new adaptive law is created to modify gain parameters online, ensuring quick dynamic response and high tracking accuracy. The Lyapunov approach shows that the tracking errors are uniformly ultimately bounded (UUB). Finally, the on-orbit assembly process of MSRS is simulated to validate the efficacy of the proposed control scheme. The simulation results show that the proposed control method can accurately complete the target module’s on-orbit assembly, with minimal perturbations to the spacecraft’s attitude. Meanwhile, it has a high level of robustness and can effectively eliminate chattering. 展开更多

This paper concerns with the master-slave exponential synchronization analysis for a class of general Lur'esystems with time delay.Different from the previous methods based on the differential inequality technique, a newapproach is proposed to derive some new exponential synchronization criteria.The restriction that the control widthhas to be larger than the time delay is removed.This leads to a larger application scope for our method.Moreover, notranscendental equation is involved in the obtained result, which reduces the computational burden.Two examples aregiven to validate the theoretical results. 展开更多
