On the basis of a simulated bright continuous annealing experimental machine, a process control model for heating system was built. The heating model was simplified and self-learning parameters were normalized to enhance the precision of temperature control. By means of the division of temperature layers and the exponential smoothing disposal of the annealing experimental data, the self-learning of the heating model was carried out. Through exponentially smoothing the deviation of self-learning parameters of the heated phase in heating process, dynamic modifications of self-learning parameters and heating electric current were carried out, and the precision of temperature control was confirmed. The application indicated that the process control model for the heating system can control temperature with high precision, and the deviation can be controlled within 8 ℃. 展开更多

This paper presents the design of an asymmetrically variable wingtip anhedral angles morphing aircraft,inspired by biomimetic mechanisms,to enhance lateral maneuver capability.Firstly,we establish a lateral dynamic model considering additional forces and moments resulting during the morphing process,and convert it into a Multiple Input Multiple Output(MIMO)virtual control system by importing virtual inputs.Secondly,a classical dynamics inversion controller is designed for the outer-loop system.A new Global Fast Terminal Incremental Sliding Mode Controller(NDO-GFTISMC)is proposed for the inner-loop system,in which an adaptive law is implemented to weaken control surface chattering,and a Nonlinear Disturbance Observer(NDO)is integrated to compensate for unknown disturbances.The whole control system is proven semiglobally uniformly ultimately bounded based on the multi-Lyapunov function method.Furthermore,we consider tracking errors and self-characteristics of actuators,a quadratic programmingbased dynamic control allocation law is designed,which allocates virtual control inputs to the asymmetrically deformed wingtip and rudder.Actuator dynamic models are incorporated to ensure physical realizability of designed allocation law.Finally,comparative experimental results validate the effectiveness of the designed control system and control allocation law.The NDO-GFTISMC features faster convergence,stronger robustness,and 81.25%and 75.0%reduction in maximum state tracking error under uncertainty compared to the Incremental Nonlinear Dynamic Inversion Controller based on NDO(NDO-INDI)and Incremental Sliding Mode Controller based on NDO(NDO-ISMC),respectively.The design of the morphing aircraft significantly enhances lateral maneuver capability,maintaining a substantial control margin during lateral maneuvering,reducing the burden of the rudder surface,and effectively solving the actuator saturation problem of traditional aircraft during lateral maneuvering. 展开更多

This papcr presents a new genetic algorithms(GAs)-based method for self-learniag fuzzy control rules. An improved GA is used to learn to optimally select the fuzzy membership functions of the linguistic labels in the condition portion of each rule, and to automatically generate fuzzy control actions under each condition. The dynamics of the controlled system is unknown to the GA. The only information for evaluating performance is a failure signal indicating that the controlled system is out of control. We compare its performance with that of other learning methods for the same problem. We also examine the ability of the algorithm to adapt to changing conditions. Simulation results show that such an approach for self-learning fuzzy control rules is both effective and robust. 展开更多

A neuron self-learning PSD controller for backside width of weld pool in pulsed GTAW with wire filler was designed. The PSD control arithmetic was analyzed, simulating experiment by MATLAB software was done, and the validating experiments on varied heat sink workpiece and varied gap workpiece were successfully implemented. The study results show that the neuron self-learning PSD control method can attain a perfect control effect under different set values and conditions, and is suitable for the welding process with the varied structure and coefficients of control model. 展开更多

We derived a switching control law t... In this paper, we proposed an output voltage stabilization of a DC-DC Zeta converter using hybrid control. We modeled the Zeta converter under continuous conduction mode operation. We derived a switching control law that brings the output voltage to the desired level. Due to infinite switching occurring at the desired level, we enhanced the switching control law by allowing a sizeable output voltage ripple. We derived mathematical models that allow one to choose the desired switching frequency. In practice, the existence of the non-ideal properties of the Zeta converter results in steady-state output voltage error. By analyzing the power loss in the zeta converter, we proposed an improved switching control law that eliminates the steady-state output voltage error. The effectiveness of the proposed method is illustrated with simulation results. 展开更多

An enhanced least mean square(LMS)error identification algorithm integrated with Kalman filtering is proposed to resolve accuracy degradation induced by nonlinear dynamics and parameter uncertainties in continuous rotary electro-hydraulic servo systems.This enhancement accelerates convergence and improves accuracy compared with traditional LMS.A fifth-order identification mod-el is developed based on valve-controlled hydraulic motors,with parameters identified using Kalman filter state estimation and gradient smoothing.The results indicate that the improved LMS effectively enhances parameter identification.An advanced disturbance rejection controller(ADRC)is de-signed,and its performance is compared with an optimal proportional integral derivative(PID)con-troller through Simulink simulations.The results show that the ADRC fulfills the control specifications and expands the system’s operational bandwidth. 展开更多

In air combat,one effective way to counter an incoming missile attacking an aircraft is to launch a defense missile compared with traditional passive defense strategies such as decoy and electronic countermeasures.To address this issue,this paper proposes a three-body cooperative active defense guidance law with overload constraints from the perspective of a small speed ratio.First,a cooperative guidance-oriented model for active defense is established and linearized to provide a foundation for the design of the guidance law.Then,the essential quantity known as Zero-Effort-Miss(ZEM)is analyzed during the engagement process.In order to minimize the influence of inaccurate estimates of remaining flight time in the ZEM,the concept of Zero-Effort-Velocity(ZEV)is introduced.Subsequently,utilizing the sliding mode control method,the guidance law is designed by selecting the ZEM and ZEV as sliding mode surfaces,combined with the fast power reaching law,and its finite-time stability is analyzed using the Lyapunov method.Furthermore,to quantitatively evaluate the performance of the proposed active defense guidance law,the interception rendezvous angle index is introduced.The proposed active defense guidance law considers integrating information from the incoming missile,aircraft,and defense missile with fewer simplifications and assumptions,and ensures that the aircraft is effectively protected with less overload required for the defense missile.Finally,simulation experiments demonstrate the effectiveness and adaptability of the proposed active defense guidance law. 展开更多

For the terminal guidance problem of missiles intercepting maneuvering targets in the three-dimensional space, the design of guidance laws for non-decoupling three-dimensional engage- ment geometry is studied. Firstly, by introducing a finite time integral sliding mode manifold, a novel guidance law based on the integral sliding mode control is presented with the target acceler- ation as a known bounded external disturbance. Then, an improved adaptive guidance law based on the integral sliding mode control without the information of the upper bound on the target accel- eration is developed, where the upper bound of the target acceleration is estimated online by a designed adaptive law. The both presented guidance laws can make sure that the elevation angular rate of the line-of-sight and the azimuth angular rate of the line-of-sight converge to zero in finite time. In the end, the results of the guidance performance for the proposed guidance laws are pre- sented by numerical simulations. Although the designed guidance laws are developed for the con- stant speed missiles, the simulation results for the time-varying speed missiles are also shown to further confirm the designed guidance laws. 展开更多

Transient control law ensures that the aeroengine transits to the command operating state rapidly and reliably. Most of the existing approaches for transient control law design have complicated principle and arithmetic. As a result, those approaches are not convenient for application. This paper proposes an extrapolation approach based on the set-point parameters to construct the transient control law, which has a good practicability. In this approach, the transient main fuel control law for acceleration and deceleration process is designed based on the main fuel flow on steady operating state. In order to analyze the designing feature of the extrapolation approach, the simulation results of several different transient control laws designed by the same approach are compared together. The analysis indicates that the aeroengine has a good performance in the transient process and the designing feature of the extrapolation approach conforms to the elements of the turbofan aeroengine. 展开更多

The mathematical model for online controlling hot rolled steel cooling on run-out table (ROT for abbreviation) was analyzed, and water cooling is found to be the main cooling mode for hot rolled steel. The calculation of the drop in strip temperature by both water cooling and air cooling is summed up to obtain the change of heat transfer coefficient. It is found that the learning coefficient of heat transfer coefficient is the kernel coefficient of coiler temperature control (CTC) model tuning. To decrease the deviation between the calculated steel temperature and the measured one at coiler entrance, a laminar cooling control self-learning strategy is used. Using the data acquired in the field, the results of the self-learning model used in the field were analyzed. The analyzed results show that the self-learning function is effective. 展开更多

This paper presents a novel guidance law to intercept non-maneuvering targets with impact angle and lateral acceleration command constraints. Firstly, we formulate the impact angle control to track the desired line-of-sight(LOS) angle, which is achieved by selecting the missile s lateral acceleration to enforce the sliding mode on a sliding surface at impact time. Secondly, we use the Lyapunov stability theory to prove the stability and finite time convergence of the proposed nonlinear sliding surface. Thirdly, we introduce the wavelet neural network(WNN) to adaptively update the additional control command and reduce the high-frequency chattering of sliding mode control(SMC). The proposed guidance law, denoted WNNSMC guidance law with impact angle constraint,combines the SMC methodology with WNN to improve the robustness and reduce the chattering of the system. Finally, numerical simulations are performed to demonstrate the validity and effectiveness of the WNNSMC guidance law. 展开更多

For the purpose of the line of sight(LOS) angle and its rate converging to the desired values, the second-order LOS angle is considered as a double-integral system. Then, this paper utilizes FTC to design a controller which can guarantee the states of the double-integral system converging to the desired values. Control over impact time constraints of guidance law(ITCG) is derived by using sliding mode control(SMC) and Lyapunov stability theorem. The expected impact time is realized by using the notion of attack process and estimated time-to-go to design sliding mode surface(SMS). ITCG contains equivalent and discontinuous guidance laws, once state variables arrive at SMS,the equivalent guidance law keeps the state variables on SMS,then the discontinuous guidance law enforces state variables to move and reach SMS.
