Pathological quality control chips for tuberculosis

Globally,approximately 10 million new tuberculosis(TB)cases are reported annually.Delayed diagnosis due to low detection rates is the primary cause of mortality.Although pathological examination is commonly used for diagnosing TB,5%-30%of cases remain undiagnosed,emphasizing the urgent need to establish quality control(QC)standards to reduce rates of misdiagnosis and missed diagnoses.To address this,we introduced a novel QC chip for detecting Mycobacterium tuberculosis(MTB).A quantitative pathological QC model was constructed by precisely and uniformly integrating MTB and HeLa cells into a photocurable hydrogel.This model was then sliced into uniform sections to create QC chips.It demonstrated that the QC chips exhibited no significant differences in intra-batch or inter-batch variation(coefficient of variation<5%),and remained stable at−80°C for one year.Furthermore,these chips were found to be 100%effective when tested with 240 clinical samples(200 with special staining and 40 with polymerase chain reaction).In addition to enhancing TB detection rates,this approach offers visualization,quantification,and sustainable production.Overall,this work provides a novel framework for developing QC chips for pathological testing,offering a reliable solution to enhance clinical diagnostic workflows. 展开更多

In order to improve the quick-resixmse characteristic, independent thread technique is adopted. The high-speed computational performance is gained at the cost of huge hardware resource,which restricts the application of high-accuracy algorithms because of the limited hardware cost in practical use.To solve the problem,a novel method for designing the field programmable gate array(FPGA)-based non-uniform rational B-spline(NURBS) interpolator and motion controller,which adopts the embedded multiprocessor technique,is proposed in this study.The hardware and software design for the multiprocessor,one of which is for NURBS interpolation and the other for position servo control,is presented.Performance analysis and experiments on an X-Y table are carried out,hardware cost as well as consuming time for interpolation and motion control is compared with the existing methods.The experimental and comparing results indicate that,compared with the existing methods,the proposed method can reduce the hardware cost by 97.5% using higher-accuracy interpolation algorithm within the period of 0.5 ms.A method which ensures the real-time performance and interpolation accuracy,and reduces the hardware cost significantly is proposed,and it’s practical in the use of industrial application. 展开更多

In this system two fuzzy controller are designed. The PID parameter self adjusting fuzzy controller is used to compensate welding current deviation in the process of arc voltage optimized control. To obtain the optimum result of ultimate frequency of short circuit transfer, the self optimizing fuzzy controller carries out the arc voltage self optimizing by under the condition of the given welding current. In order to ensure the reliability of network-on-chip (NoC) under faulty circumstance, a dynamic fault tolerant routing algorithm is proposed. This algorithm can implement detour routing when there are both static and dynamic permanent faults in the network. That means the packet is able to move around the fanlts to the destination with a non-minimum path. In addition, the multi-level congestion control mechanism gives the algorithm the ability to distribute the load over the whole network and to avoid hotspots around the faults. Simulation results demonstrate the advantage of the proposed routing algorithm in terms of average packet latency and packet loss rate compared with negative-first routing algo- rithm and DyAD routing algorithm in the presence of permanent faults. For the proposed algorithm, it can get much less average packet latency and lead to less than 20% packet loss rate. 展开更多

In this paper, the method of designing a control system based on Single Chip Microcomputer (SCM) and Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) is introduced according to its main requirements.
