The research selected 13 factors from individual and family characters, construction site characters and work characters and analyzed the influences on the willingness of purchasing houses on construction sites with Logistic regression mod- el. The results showed that gender, age differences, personality, willingness on fami- ly land conversion, management of enterprises on construction sites, relatives and friends on construction lands, and Job satisfaction were approved by significant testing, but marital status, annual household income, the rate of migrant worker in a household, transportation in work city, and corporate reputation were not approved by significant testing. 展开更多

Therefore, there are many index systems for evaluating the construction quality. The anti-leakage index of the building is one of the important ones, which is mainly to evaluate the anti-seepage and waterproof ability of the building. If the anti-leakage capability of the building is not up to standard, it may cause the wall skin to fall off, affecting its aesthetic appearance, shortening its service life and causing interference to the owners' living activities. Although many constructors realize the necessity of applying anti-leakage technology, some problems are still exposed in the concrete operation, which not only weakens the functional value of anti-leakage technology, but also is not conducive to the smooth progress of engineering construction activities and impairs the construction quality. 展开更多

In order to prevent soil collapse, the foundation pit needs to be reinforced, among which the safety of deep foundation pit is particularly important. If the supporting structure of deep foundation pit is unqualified or non-standard, it will cause serious consequences. Therefore, the quality and safety of deep foundation pit support structure should attract the attention of relevant construction personnel. According to different geological conditions, formulate appropriate support schemes, and apply the existing construction technology to make the foundation pit stable and safe, which lays a foundation for later construction projects. 展开更多

Rapid excavation with a newly developed retaining system: Spiral assembly steel structure

The spiral assembly steel structure, a newly developed retaining wall for the rapid excavation of small-sized foundation pits in unsaturated soil, is presented. This new type of retaining structure is prefabricated in the factory and is assembled on site in the excavation of a pit. This retaining structure is composed of several prefabricated steel structural units, in which the adjacent steel structural units are joined with connectors. Each steel structural unit has one steel pipe in the radial direction and is welded to a single piece of steel plate. After full installation in situ, the retaining structure becomes a cylindrical steel structure. With the protection afforded by this new type of retaining structure, excavation work can be completed within 24 h to a depth up to 5 m. In order to verify the reliability and effectiveness of this new retaining structure, field construction tests were conducted in Beijing, China. The test construction was monitored. The monitoring program included measuring stress in the structure, lateral earth pressure, and lateral deformation of the surrounding soil. The monitoring data from the field test were compared with the theoretical results. The results show that the proposed new structure is reliable and effective. 展开更多
