Objective Current autosomal short tandem repeat(STR)assays can analyze the zygotic composition by comparing the allelic genes at each locus of complete hydatidiform moles(CHM),with a maternal genotype serving as an es...Objective Current autosomal short tandem repeat(STR)assays can analyze the zygotic composition by comparing the allelic genes at each locus of complete hydatidiform moles(CHM),with a maternal genotype serving as an essential reference for comparative analysis.However,their application in pathology represents a challenge because of deficiency or contamination of maternal-origin tissues.This study aimed to develop a novel STR genotyping method for identifying CHM genotypes without a maternal component.Methods Samples with the pathologic description of molar pregnancy were collected.Routine hematoxylin–eosin(HE)staining and p57 immunohistochemistry staining were conducted in accordance with standard guidelines.A novel 26-plex system was explored to classify CHM and diploid pregnancies.The system combined 22 STRs on chromosomes 21/18/13/X,3 sex loci,and 1 quality control marker(TAF9L),enabling molecular diagnosis in the absence of maternal tissue.At last,traditional DNA typing based on villi and decidua(maternal component)of each case was used for result consistency analysis.Results CHM and nonmolar abortus could not be distinguished by the basic HE staining with no fetal evidence or other prominent features.DNA typing was successfully processed for all cases according to the novel 26-plex and traditional system.CHM(46XX)diagnosis required single A-STR/X-STR peaks and absent Y-chromosome markers,excluding chromosomal abnormalities via TAF9L analysis.When the villous tissue analysis revealed single peaks at X-STR/SRY loci,a 1:1 amelogenin ratio,and a 2:1 TAF9L peak ratio,these results overlapped with those of 46XY hydropic abortus or CHM.Notably,p57 immunohistochemical staining resolved the ambiguity.Consistency with traditional DNA genotyping confirmed system accuracy.This multiplex assay enhanced reliability in mole diagnosis,supporting clinical differentiation and genetic counseling.Conclusion This study presents a rapid and cost-effective assay for the genotypic identification of CHM without the need for a maternal component.The method combined the characteristics of STR loci distributed across different chromosomes and developed the clinic application of forensic biomarkers.展开更多

UAV-mounted intelligent reflecting surface(IRS)helps address the line-of-sight(LoS)blockage between sensor nodes(SNs)and the fusion center(FC)in Internet of Things(IoT).This paper considers an IoT assisted by multiple...UAV-mounted intelligent reflecting surface(IRS)helps address the line-of-sight(LoS)blockage between sensor nodes(SNs)and the fusion center(FC)in Internet of Things(IoT).This paper considers an IoT assisted by multiple UAVs-mounted IRS(U-IRS),where the data from ground SNs are transmitted to the FC.In practice,energy efficiency(EE)and mission completion time are crucial metrics for evaluating system performance and operational costs.Recognizing their importance during data collection,we formulate a multi-objective optimization problem to maximize EE and minimize total mission completion time simultaneously.To characterize this tradeoff while considering optimization objective consistency,we construct an optimization problem that minimizes the weighted sum of the total mission completion time and the reciprocal of EE.Due to the non-convex nature of the formulated problem,obtaining optimal solutions is generally challenging.To tackle this issue,we decompose it into three subproblems:UAV-SN association,number of reflecting elements allocation,andUAVtrajectory optimization.An iterative algorithmcombining genetic algorithm,CS-BJ algorithm,and successive convex approximation technique is proposed to solve these sub-problems.Simulation results demonstrate that when the transmitted data amount is 10 and 30Mbits,compared to the static collection benchmark(the UAV hovers directly above each SN),the EE of the proposed method improves by more than 10.4% and 5.2%,while the total mission completion time is reduced by more than 5.4% and 3.3%,respectively.展开更多

Moreover, the above result is extended to a more general case. At last, the completeness of eigenfunction systems for the operators arising from the isotropic plane magnetoelectroelastic solids is described to illustrate the effectiveness of the criterion. METHODS We conducted an electronic search of the PubMed/MEDL...AIM To compare the effectiveness of laparoscopic complete mesocolic excision (CME) with central vascular ligation (L-CME) with its open (O-CME) counterpart. METHODS We conducted an electronic search of the PubMed/MEDLINE, Excerpta Medica Database, Web of Science Core Collection, Cochrane Center Register of Controlled Trails, Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews, SciELO, and Korean Journal databases from their inception until May 2017. We considered randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and controlled clinical trials (CCTs) that included patients with colonic cancer comparing L-CME and O-CME. Primary outcomes included the quality of the resected specimen (lymph nodes retrieved, complete mesocolic plane excision, tumor to arterial high tie, resected mesocolon surface). Secondary outcomes included the three-year and five-year overall and disease-free survival rates, recurrence of the disease, surgical data, and postoperative morbidity and mortality. Two authors of the review screened the methodological quality of the eligible trials and independently extracted data from individual studies. RESULTS A total of one RCT and eleven CCTs (four from Europe and seven from Asia) met the inclusion criteria for the current meta-analysis. These studies involved 1619 patients in L-CME and 1477 patients in O-CME. The L-CME was associated with the same quality of the resected specimen, with no differences regarding the retrieved lymphnodes (MD = -1.06, 95%CI: -3.65 to 1.53, P = 0.42), and tumor to high tie distance (MD = 14.26 cm, 95%CI: -4.30 to 32.82, P = 0.13); the surface of the resected mesocolon was higher in the L-CME group (MD = 11.75 cm<sup>2</sup>, 95%CI: 9.50 to 13.99, P < 0.001). The L-CME was associated with a lower rate of blood transfusions (OR = 0.45, 95%CI: 0.27 to 0.75, P = 0.002), faster recovery of gastrointestinal function, and less postoperative overall complication rate. The L-CME approach was associated with a statistical significant better three-year overall (OR = 2.02, 95%CI: 1.31 to 3.12, P = 0.001, I<sup>2</sup> = 28%) and disease-free (OR = 1.45, 95% CI: 1.00 to 2.10, P = 0.05, I<sup>2</sup> = 0%) survival. CONCLUSION The laparoscopic approach offers the same quality of the resected specimen as the open approach in complete mesocolic excision with central vascular ligation for colon cancer. The laparoscopic complete mesocolic excision with central vascular ligation is superior in all perioperative results and at least non-inferior in long-term oncological outcomes.展开更多

Based on the invariance principle of differential equations, sufficient conditions for the global asymptotic synchronization between two bi-directionally coupled chaotic systems via an adaptive feedback controller are given. Unlike other control schemes for bi-directionally coupled systems, this scheme is very simple to implement in practice and need not consider coupling terms. As examples, the autonomous hyperchaotic Chen systems and the new nonautonomous 4D systems are illustrated. Numerical simulations show that the proposed method is effective and robust against the effect of weak noise.展开更多

Moreover, the transformation between a unipolar signal and a bipolar signal is often required. In this paper, a more intelligent hardware implementation based on field programmable analog array (FPAA) is constructed for chaotic systems with complete amplitude control. Firstly, two chaotic systems with complete amplitude control are introduced, one of which has the property of offset boosting with total amplitude control, while the other has offset boosting and a parameter for partial control. Both cases can achieve complete amplitude control including amplitude rescaling and offset boosting. Secondly, linear synchronization is established based on the special structure of chaotic system. Finally, experimental circuits are constructed on an FPAA where the predicted amplitude control is realized through only two independent configurable analog module (CAM) gain values.展开更多

Firstly, according to the concurrent characteristics of Petri net model, we analyze the parallelism of Petri net system; then, by giving the solving process of place invariants and the function partitioning of Petri net, we propose the function partitioning conditions and determination theorem of Petri net parallelization, and conduct its theoretical proof and practical verification. On this basis, we conduct the theoretical study and analysis on the situation that Petri net system has several kinds of parallel function partitioning, propose the completeness theorem of parallelism function partitioning in Petri net system, and verify it. Finally, we give the algorithms, application examples and simulation experiment results of parallel function partitioning of Petri net systems based on place invariant. The theoretical proof and experimental results show that the function partitioning conditions and completeness theory of Petri net parallelization based on place invariant are correct, and the parallel algorithms under such theoretical basis are also correct and effective.展开更多

METHODS: We constructed bait plasmid expressing complete S protein of HBV by cloning the gene of complete S protein into pGBKT7, then the recombinant plasmid DNA was transformed into yeast AH109 (a type). The transformed yeast AH109 was mated with yeast Y187 (α type) containing liver cDNA library plasmid in 2×YPDA medium. Diploid yeast was plated on synthetic dropout nutrient medium (SD/-Trp-Leu-His-Ade) containing X-α-gal for selection and screening. After extracting and sequencing of plasmids from positive (blue) colonies, we underwent sequence analysis by bioinformatics. RESULTS: Nineteen colonies were selected and sequenced. Among them, five colonies were Homo sapiens solute carrier family 25, member 23 (SLC25A23), one was Homo sapiens calrer.iculin, one was human serum albumin (ALB) gene, one was Homo sapiens metallothionein 2A, two were Homo sapiens betaine-homocysteine methyltransferase, three were Homo sapiens Na+ and H+coupled amino acid transport system N, one was Homo sapiens CD81 antigen (target of anti-proliferative antibody 1) (CD81), three were Homo sapiens diazepam binding inhibitor, two colonies were new genes with unknown function. CONCLUSION: The yeast-two hybrid system is an effective method for identifying hepatocyte proteins interacting with complete S protein of HBV. The complete S protein may bind to different proteins i.e., its multiple functions in vivo.展开更多

Based on these properties, the concrete completeness formulation of the system of eigenvectors or root vectors of the Hamiltonian operator is proposed. It is shown that the completeness is determined by the system of eigenvectors of the operator entries. Background A virtual system that simulates the complete process of orthodontic bracket placement can be used for pre-clinical skill training to help students gain confidence by performing the required tasks on a virtu...Background A virtual system that simulates the complete process of orthodontic bracket placement can be used for pre-clinical skill training to help students gain confidence by performing the required tasks on a virtual patient.Methods The hardware for the virtual simulation system is built using two force feedback devices to support bi-manual force feedback operation.A 3D mouse is used to adjust the position of the virtual patient.A multi-threaded computational methodology is adopted to satisfy the requirements of the frame rate.The computation threads mainly consist of the haptic thread running at a frequency of>1000Hz and the graphic thread at>30Hz.The graphic thread allows the graphics engine to effectively display the visual effects of biofilm removal and acid erosion through texture mapping.Using the haptic thread,the physics engine adopts the hierarchy octree collision-detection algorithm to simulate the multi-point and multi-region interaction between the tools and the virtual environment.Its high efficiency guarantees that the time cost can be controlled within 1 ms.The physics engine also performs collision detection between the tools and particles,making it possible to simulate paint and removal of colloids.The surface-contact constraints are defined in the system;this ensures that the bracket will not divorce from or embed into the tooth during the adjustment of the bracket.Therefore,the simulated adjustment is more realistic and natural.Results A virtual system to simulate the complete process of orthodontic bracket bonding was developed.In addition to bracket bonding and adjustment,the system simulates the necessary auxiliary steps such as smearing,acid etching,and washing.Furthermore,the system supports personalized case training.Conclusions The system provides a new method for students to practice orthodontic skills.展开更多
Patients with complete spinal cord injury retain the potential for volitional muscle activity in muscles located below the spinal injury level.However,because of prolonged inactivity,initial attempts to activate these...Patients with complete spinal cord injury retain the potential for volitional muscle activity in muscles located below the spinal injury level.However,because of prolonged inactivity,initial attempts to activate these muscles may not effectively engage any of the remaining neurons in the descending pathway.A previous study unexpectedly found that a brief clinical round of passive activity significantly increased volitional muscle activation,as measured by surface electromyography.In this study,we further explored the effect of passive activity on surface electromyographic signals during volitional control tasks among individuals with complete spinal cord injury.Eleven patients with chronic complete thoracic spinal cord injury were recruited.Surface electromyography data from eight major leg muscles were acquired and compared before and after the passive activity protocol.The results indicated that the passive activity led to an increased number of activated volitional muscles and an increased frequency of activation.Although the cumulative root mean square of surface electromyography amplitude for volitional control of movement showed a slight increase after passive activity,the difference was not statistically significant.These findings suggest that brief passive activity may enhance the ability to initiate volitional muscle activity during surface electromyography tasks and underscore the potential of passive activity for improving residual motor control among patients with motor complete spinal cord injury.展开更多

This algorithm has clear physical concepts and is similar to the complex complete quadratic combination (CCQC) method previously established. Since it can consider the effect of repeated eigenvalues, it is called the CCQC-R method, in which the correlation coefficients of high-order modal responses are enclosed in addition to the correlation coefficients in the normal CCQC method. As a result, the formulas for calculating the correlation coefficients of high-order modal responses are deduced in this study, including displacement, velocity and velocity-displacement correlation coefficients. Furthermore, the relationship between high-order displacement and velocity covariance is derived to make the CCQC-R algorithm only relevant to the high-order displacement response spectrum. Finally, a practical step-by-step integration procedure for calculating high-order displacement response spectrum is obtained by changing the earthquake ground motion input, which is evaluated by comparing it to the theory solution under the sine-wave input. The method derived here is suitable for generally linear systems with classical or non-classical damping.展开更多

文摘UAV-mounted intelligent reflecting surface(IRS)helps address the line-of-sight(LoS)blockage between sensor nodes(SNs)and the fusion center(FC)in Internet of Things(IoT).This paper considers an IoT assisted by multiple UAVs-mounted IRS(U-IRS),where the data from ground SNs are transmitted to the FC.In practice,energy efficiency(EE)and mission completion time are crucial metrics for evaluating system performance and operational costs.Recognizing their importance during data collection,we formulate a multi-objective optimization problem to maximize EE and minimize total mission completion time simultaneously.To characterize this tradeoff while considering optimization objective consistency,we construct an optimization problem that minimizes the weighted sum of the total mission completion time and the reciprocal of EE.Due to the non-convex nature of the formulated problem,obtaining optimal solutions is generally challenging.To tackle this issue,we decompose it into three subproblems:UAV-SN association,number of reflecting elements allocation,andUAVtrajectory optimization.An iterative algorithmcombining genetic algorithm,CS-BJ algorithm,and successive convex approximation technique is proposed to solve these sub-problems.Simulation results demonstrate that when the transmitted data amount is 10 and 30Mbits,compared to the static collection benchmark(the UAV hovers directly above each SN),the EE of the proposed method improves by more than 10.4% and 5.2%,while the total mission completion time is reduced by more than 5.4% and 3.3%,respectively.

文摘For the off-diagonal infinite dimensional Hamiltonian operators, which have at most countable eigenvalues, a necessary and sufficient condition of the eigenfunction systems to be complete in the sense of Cauchy principal value is presented by using the spectral symmetry and new orthogonal relationship of the operators. Moreover, the above result is extended to a more general case. At last, the completeness of eigenfunction systems for the operators arising from the isotropic plane magnetoelectroelastic solids is described to illustrate the effectiveness of the criterion. The whole results offer theoretical guarantee for separation of variables in Hamiltonian system for some mechanics equations.
文摘AIM To compare the effectiveness of laparoscopic complete mesocolic excision (CME) with central vascular ligation (L-CME) with its open (O-CME) counterpart. METHODS We conducted an electronic search of the PubMed/MEDLINE, Excerpta Medica Database, Web of Science Core Collection, Cochrane Center Register of Controlled Trails, Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews, SciELO, and Korean Journal databases from their inception until May 2017. We considered randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and controlled clinical trials (CCTs) that included patients with colonic cancer comparing L-CME and O-CME. Primary outcomes included the quality of the resected specimen (lymph nodes retrieved, complete mesocolic plane excision, tumor to arterial high tie, resected mesocolon surface). Secondary outcomes included the three-year and five-year overall and disease-free survival rates, recurrence of the disease, surgical data, and postoperative morbidity and mortality. Two authors of the review screened the methodological quality of the eligible trials and independently extracted data from individual studies. RESULTS A total of one RCT and eleven CCTs (four from Europe and seven from Asia) met the inclusion criteria for the current meta-analysis. These studies involved 1619 patients in L-CME and 1477 patients in O-CME. The L-CME was associated with the same quality of the resected specimen, with no differences regarding the retrieved lymphnodes (MD = -1.06, 95%CI: -3.65 to 1.53, P = 0.42), and tumor to high tie distance (MD = 14.26 cm, 95%CI: -4.30 to 32.82, P = 0.13); the surface of the resected mesocolon was higher in the L-CME group (MD = 11.75 cm<sup>2</sup>, 95%CI: 9.50 to 13.99, P < 0.001). The L-CME was associated with a lower rate of blood transfusions (OR = 0.45, 95%CI: 0.27 to 0.75, P = 0.002), faster recovery of gastrointestinal function, and less postoperative overall complication rate. The L-CME approach was associated with a statistical significant better three-year overall (OR = 2.02, 95%CI: 1.31 to 3.12, P = 0.001, I<sup>2</sup> = 28%) and disease-free (OR = 1.45, 95% CI: 1.00 to 2.10, P = 0.05, I<sup>2</sup> = 0%) survival. CONCLUSION The laparoscopic approach offers the same quality of the resected specimen as the open approach in complete mesocolic excision with central vascular ligation for colon cancer. The laparoscopic complete mesocolic excision with central vascular ligation is superior in all perioperative results and at least non-inferior in long-term oncological outcomes.

文摘In this paper, we apply a simple adaptive feedback control scheme to synchronize two bi-directionally coupled chaotic systems. Based on the invariance principle of differential equations, sufficient conditions for the global asymptotic synchronization between two bi-directionally coupled chaotic systems via an adaptive feedback controller are given. Unlike other control schemes for bi-directionally coupled systems, this scheme is very simple to implement in practice and need not consider coupling terms. As examples, the autonomous hyperchaotic Chen systems and the new nonautonomous 4D systems are illustrated. Numerical simulations show that the proposed method is effective and robust against the effect of weak noise.

文摘This paper deals with off-diagonal operator matrices and their applications in elasticity theory. Two kinds of completeness of the system of eigenvectors are proven, in terms of those of the compositions of two block operators in the off-diagonal operator matrices. Using these results, the double eigenfunction expansion method for solving upper triangular matrix differential systems is proposed. Moreover, we apply the method to the two-dimensional elasticity problem and the problem of bending of rectangular thin plates on elastic foundation.

文摘The completeness theorem of the eigenfunction systems for the product of two 2 × 2 symmetric operator matrices is proved. The result is applied to 4 × 4 infinite-dimensional Hamiltonian operators. A modified method of separation of variables is proposed for a separable Hamiltonian system. As an application of the theorem, the general solutions for the plate bending equation and the free vibration of rectangular thin plates are obtained. Finally, a numerical test is analysed to show the correctness of the results.

文摘Although chaotic signals are considered to have great potential applications in radar and communication engineering, their broadband spectrum makes it difficult to design an applicable amplifier or an attenuator for amplitude conditioning. Moreover, the transformation between a unipolar signal and a bipolar signal is often required. In this paper, a more intelligent hardware implementation based on field programmable analog array (FPAA) is constructed for chaotic systems with complete amplitude control. Firstly, two chaotic systems with complete amplitude control are introduced, one of which has the property of offset boosting with total amplitude control, while the other has offset boosting and a parameter for partial control. Both cases can achieve complete amplitude control including amplitude rescaling and offset boosting. Secondly, linear synchronization is established based on the special structure of chaotic system. Finally, experimental circuits are constructed on an FPAA where the predicted amplitude control is realized through only two independent configurable analog module (CAM) gain values.

文摘In order to solve the parallel algorithm of Petri net system with concurrent function, so as to achieve the parallel control and simulation operation of this system, this paper proposes the function partition completeness theory and algorithms of Petri net parallelization, thereby providing the theoretical support for the realization of Petri parallel algorithms. Firstly, according to the concurrent characteristics of Petri net model, we analyze the parallelism of Petri net system; then, by giving the solving process of place invariants and the function partitioning of Petri net, we propose the function partitioning conditions and determination theorem of Petri net parallelization, and conduct its theoretical proof and practical verification. On this basis, we conduct the theoretical study and analysis on the situation that Petri net system has several kinds of parallel function partitioning, propose the completeness theorem of parallelism function partitioning in Petri net system, and verify it. Finally, we give the algorithms, application examples and simulation experiment results of parallel function partitioning of Petri net systems based on place invariant. The theoretical proof and experimental results show that the function partitioning conditions and completeness theory of Petri net parallelization based on place invariant are correct, and the parallel algorithms under such theoretical basis are also correct and effective.

文摘AIM: To investigate the biological function of complete S protein and to look for proteins interacting with complete S protein in hepatocytes. METHODS: We constructed bait plasmid expressing complete S protein of HBV by cloning the gene of complete S protein into pGBKT7, then the recombinant plasmid DNA was transformed into yeast AH109 (a type). The transformed yeast AH109 was mated with yeast Y187 (α type) containing liver cDNA library plasmid in 2×YPDA medium. Diploid yeast was plated on synthetic dropout nutrient medium (SD/-Trp-Leu-His-Ade) containing X-α-gal for selection and screening. After extracting and sequencing of plasmids from positive (blue) colonies, we underwent sequence analysis by bioinformatics. RESULTS: Nineteen colonies were selected and sequenced. Among them, five colonies were Homo sapiens solute carrier family 25, member 23 (SLC25A23), one was Homo sapiens calrer.iculin, one was human serum albumin (ALB) gene, one was Homo sapiens metallothionein 2A, two were Homo sapiens betaine-homocysteine methyltransferase, three were Homo sapiens Na+ and H+coupled amino acid transport system N, one was Homo sapiens CD81 antigen (target of anti-proliferative antibody 1) (CD81), three were Homo sapiens diazepam binding inhibitor, two colonies were new genes with unknown function. CONCLUSION: The yeast-two hybrid system is an effective method for identifying hepatocyte proteins interacting with complete S protein of HBV. The complete S protein may bind to different proteins i.e., its multiple functions in vivo.

文摘This paper deals with a class of upper triangular infinite-dimensional Hamilto- nian operators appearing in the elasticity theory. The geometric multiplicity and algebraic index of the eigenvalue are investigated. Furthermore, the algebraic multiplicity of the eigenvalue is obtained. Based on these properties, the concrete completeness formulation of the system of eigenvectors or root vectors of the Hamiltonian operator is proposed. It is shown that the completeness is determined by the system of eigenvectors of the operator entries. Finally, the applications of the results to some problems in the elasticity theory are presented.
文摘Background A virtual system that simulates the complete process of orthodontic bracket placement can be used for pre-clinical skill training to help students gain confidence by performing the required tasks on a virtual patient.Methods The hardware for the virtual simulation system is built using two force feedback devices to support bi-manual force feedback operation.A 3D mouse is used to adjust the position of the virtual patient.A multi-threaded computational methodology is adopted to satisfy the requirements of the frame rate.The computation threads mainly consist of the haptic thread running at a frequency of>1000Hz and the graphic thread at>30Hz.The graphic thread allows the graphics engine to effectively display the visual effects of biofilm removal and acid erosion through texture mapping.Using the haptic thread,the physics engine adopts the hierarchy octree collision-detection algorithm to simulate the multi-point and multi-region interaction between the tools and the virtual environment.Its high efficiency guarantees that the time cost can be controlled within 1 ms.The physics engine also performs collision detection between the tools and particles,making it possible to simulate paint and removal of colloids.The surface-contact constraints are defined in the system;this ensures that the bracket will not divorce from or embed into the tooth during the adjustment of the bracket.Therefore,the simulated adjustment is more realistic and natural.Results A virtual system to simulate the complete process of orthodontic bracket bonding was developed.In addition to bracket bonding and adjustment,the system simulates the necessary auxiliary steps such as smearing,acid etching,and washing.Furthermore,the system supports personalized case training.Conclusions The system provides a new method for students to practice orthodontic skills.

文摘Patients with complete spinal cord injury retain the potential for volitional muscle activity in muscles located below the spinal injury level.However,because of prolonged inactivity,initial attempts to activate these muscles may not effectively engage any of the remaining neurons in the descending pathway.A previous study unexpectedly found that a brief clinical round of passive activity significantly increased volitional muscle activation,as measured by surface electromyography.In this study,we further explored the effect of passive activity on surface electromyographic signals during volitional control tasks among individuals with complete spinal cord injury.Eleven patients with chronic complete thoracic spinal cord injury were recruited.Surface electromyography data from eight major leg muscles were acquired and compared before and after the passive activity protocol.The results indicated that the passive activity led to an increased number of activated volitional muscles and an increased frequency of activation.Although the cumulative root mean square of surface electromyography amplitude for volitional control of movement showed a slight increase after passive activity,the difference was not statistically significant.These findings suggest that brief passive activity may enhance the ability to initiate volitional muscle activity during surface electromyography tasks and underscore the potential of passive activity for improving residual motor control among patients with motor complete spinal cord injury.

文摘A new response-spectrum mode superposition method, entirely in real value form, is developed to analyze the maximum structural response under earthquake ground motion for generally damped linear systems with repeated eigenvalues and defective eigenvectors. This algorithm has clear physical concepts and is similar to the complex complete quadratic combination (CCQC) method previously established. Since it can consider the effect of repeated eigenvalues, it is called the CCQC-R method, in which the correlation coefficients of high-order modal responses are enclosed in addition to the correlation coefficients in the normal CCQC method. As a result, the formulas for calculating the correlation coefficients of high-order modal responses are deduced in this study, including displacement, velocity and velocity-displacement correlation coefficients. Furthermore, the relationship between high-order displacement and velocity covariance is derived to make the CCQC-R algorithm only relevant to the high-order displacement response spectrum. Finally, a practical step-by-step integration procedure for calculating high-order displacement response spectrum is obtained by changing the earthquake ground motion input, which is evaluated by comparing it to the theory solution under the sine-wave input. The method derived here is suitable for generally linear systems with classical or non-classical damping.
