Subject to the homogeneous Neumann boundary condition, a ratio-dependent predator-prey reaction diffusion model is discussed. An improved result for the model is derived, that is, the unique positive constant steady state is the global stability. This is done using the comparison principle and establishing iteration schemes involving positive solutions supremum and infimum. The result indicates that the two species will ultimately distribute homogeneously in space. In fact, the comparison argument and iteration technique to be used in this paper can be applied to some other models. This method deals with the not-existence of a non-constant positive steady state for some reaction diffusion systems, which is rather simple but sufficiently effective. 展开更多

By comparing them with the Steinhaus sequence, they prove a local Khintchine-Kahane inequality on compact sets. As consequences, they prove the following results for Sidon series taking values in a Banach space: the summability on a set of positive measure implies the almost everywhere convergence; the contraction principle of Billard-Kahane remains true for Sidon series. As applications, they extend a uniqueness theorem of Zygmund concerning lacunary Fourier series and an analytic continuation theorem of Hadamard concerning lacunary Taylor series. Technical stability:allowing quantitative estimation of trajectory behavior of a dynamical system over a given time interval was considered. Based on a differential comparison principle and a basic monotonicity condition, technical stability relative to certain prescribed state constraint sets of a class of nonlinear time-varying systems with small parameters was analyzed by means of vector Liapunov function method. Explicit criteria of technical stability are established in terms of coefficients of the system under consideration. Conditions under which the technical stability of the system can be derived from its reduced linear time-varying (LTV) system were further examined, as well as a condition for linearization approach to technical stability of general nonlinear systems. Also, a simple algebraic condition of exponential asymptotic stability of LTV systems is presented. Two illustrative examples are given to demonstrate the availability of the presently proposed method. 展开更多

We propose two different conditions for the right hand side and get the comparison principle results under different conditions by making different perturbations. Then, we obtain the uniqueness of the viscosity solution to the Dirichlet boundary value problem by the comparison principle.
