China actively fosters practical green cooperation to advance global sustainable development,and strengthens global environmental governance initiatives,including the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goal...China actively fosters practical green cooperation to advance global sustainable development,and strengthens global environmental governance initiatives,including the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs).However,this approach has often positioned China as more of a doer than a talker,leading to insufficient recognition in the international community.Domestic Chinese research has frequently highlighted these issues within the ecological civilization,especially in its global dimension.Building on existing research,this study contends that the disparity in recognition stems from three crucial gaps:a conceptual gap between ecological civilization as a new narrative and established international governance frameworks;a practical gap between how China’s ecological civilization advances sustainable development governance versus international understanding;and a communication gap between its substantial achievements and inadequate communication of these experiences.To address these gaps,this paper recommends that China strengthen its efforts in three key areas:First,maintain strategic resolve by deepening green practices and strengthening corporate environmental standards to advance green norms.Second,promote the global co-construction of ecological civilization and strengthen global governance featuring extensive consultation and joint contributions for shared benefits.Third,enhance fairness,representativeness,and inclusiveness in international sustainable de‐velopment negotiations.Finally,China,along with Global South countries,should continue advancing global ecological civilization.This serves as both a response to current environmental governance challenges and a long-term pathway toward a global community of shared future.展开更多

文摘China actively fosters practical green cooperation to advance global sustainable development,and strengthens global environmental governance initiatives,including the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs).However,this approach has often positioned China as more of a doer than a talker,leading to insufficient recognition in the international community.Domestic Chinese research has frequently highlighted these issues within the ecological civilization,especially in its global dimension.Building on existing research,this study contends that the disparity in recognition stems from three crucial gaps:a conceptual gap between ecological civilization as a new narrative and established international governance frameworks;a practical gap between how China’s ecological civilization advances sustainable development governance versus international understanding;and a communication gap between its substantial achievements and inadequate communication of these experiences.To address these gaps,this paper recommends that China strengthen its efforts in three key areas:First,maintain strategic resolve by deepening green practices and strengthening corporate environmental standards to advance green norms.Second,promote the global co-construction of ecological civilization and strengthen global governance featuring extensive consultation and joint contributions for shared benefits.Third,enhance fairness,representativeness,and inclusiveness in international sustainable de‐velopment negotiations.Finally,China,along with Global South countries,should continue advancing global ecological civilization.This serves as both a response to current environmental governance challenges and a long-term pathway toward a global community of shared future.
文摘Research on the construction of a theory for China’s open economy should break through the limitations of mainstream Western international economics.Firstly,we need to reveal the laws revolving around"three relationships and six threads"that governed China’s incremental process of trade liberalization.Secondly,we need to summarize China’s experience of the way new technologies,including the Internet,digital technologies and artificial intelligence(AI)have fostered and reshaped the position of small and mediumsized enterprises(SMEs)as micro-actors,providing us with new advantages in international competition.Thirdly,we need to analyze the new win-win mode of the international division of labor over land and sea established under the guidelines of the Belt and Road Initiative(BRI),as well as a new concept of pluralist balance in the international economy marked by a close connection between trade surplus and foreign investment.Fourthly,under the guidance of Xi Jinping’s important discourses,we should offer a rationale for the Chinese scheme of global economy governance within the community of shared future for mankind.
文摘Despite increasing factors contributing to global security instability and an uncertain outlook for the global economy’s overall recovery and the politicization and securitization of the economic and trade sectors,the BRICS countries have consistently adhered to their original intention of safeguarding the interests of developing countries.The mechanism’s resilience has withstood the test.BRICS have also achieved historic growth,ushering in a new era of transformation and upgrading.Standing at a new starting point,the internal and external development momentum of BRICS countries is synchronously enhanced.The BRICS countries will continue to explore new models for the collective and sustainable rise of developing and emerging economies and promote economic development and achieve common security.China actively practices the BRICS spirit,working with BRICS member countries to strengthen practical cooperation and more effectively implement the BRICS Action Plan,enhance and improve the global governance system,and jointly build a community of shared future for mankind.
文摘The communication dilemma of the post-truth era presents both new challenges and opportunities for China’s international communication efforts.In this era,emotions tend to override factual logic,making Western content with ideological biases more easily disseminated;cultural discount in cross-cultural exchanges becomes harder to mitigate;the imbalance in global discourse power restricts communication;and the implementation of domestic communication strategies remains suboptimal.On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Malaysia,this paper analyzes two co-produced documentaries—The Story of Time:Water Flows Unbroken and A Joyous Union of Lotus and Lychee—as representative case studies.It examines how these documentaries accurately identify the needs of foreign audiences,tell China’s stories effectively,and promote the international dissemination of Chinese culture and the positive construction of the national image in the post-truth era.The paper proposes feasible approaches to overcoming communication dilemmas and further advancing the building of a shared future for mankind.

文摘This research article aims to examine the problem of comprehending Chinese diplomatic discourse.We argue that China's diplomatic discourse is a multilevel and complicated system underpinned by figurative and symbolic semantics,divergent translations into foreign languages,multidimensionality of the cognitive sphere and versatility of communication.The discussions of well-known Chinese scholars on the issue of comprehension of China’s diplomatic discourse are highlighted in the article.We also analyze the concept of a“shared future for humankind,”which is the systemic core of China's diplomatic discourse today and represents a brand of a global worldview promoted by Chinese leadership.We examine this concept using sociolinguistic,cognitive and pragmatic approaches.
