Willingness to communicate illustrates anyone’s tendency and wish to commence a communication.Besides,socio-cognitive strategies are used when people want to interact with others and face some difficulties.The aim of...Willingness to communicate illustrates anyone’s tendency and wish to commence a communication.Besides,socio-cognitive strategies are used when people want to interact with others and face some difficulties.The aim of this study was twofold.The first aim was to investigate the difference in willingness to communicate between Iranian male and female.The second aim was to distinguish the frequency of socio-cognitive strategies used by Iranian advance students based on their gender.To these ends,32 advance learners(16 males and 16 females)were given the willingness to communicate questionnaire developed by MacIntyre,Baker,Clément,and Conrod(2001)and the socio-cognitive strategy use questionnaire.The range of the participants’age was 17-23 in both males and females.To analyze the result of the socio-cognitive strategies use,frequencies were counted.The result showed that although there were some similarities and differences between males and females while using socio-cognitive strategies,the differences were more in social strategies than cognitive ones.After collecting the data from the questionnaires and calculating the means of the two groups,an independent sample T-test was run to compute the significant differences between the two groups.The result of the willingness to communicate questionnaire revealed that males had more tendency in communication than females.Also,the result of the socio-cognitive strategy questionnaire showed that both groups are similar in cognitive strategy use,but they are different in social strategy use.展开更多

The participants involved in this study were 7 beginners learning Mandarin in a Chinese university whose native languages were totally different. Multiple sources of data were collected, including classroom observations, semistructured interviews and stimulated recalls. The results indicate that the students with higher level of WTC were more fluent in L2 Chinese communication, and the student whose native language or second language is Russian performed better in Chinese communication.展开更多

But, it is not easy to manage MSMEs well so it can be sustainable. There are some reasons why MSMEs are difficult to sustain, i.e., good management people by communicate effectively. Authors believe that one of important ability that owners, as a leader, must have in order to communicate effectively is cultural intelligence. Even in MSMEs, cultural intelligence plays important part because employees in MSMEs are diverse. They come from different region (mean having different tradition) and have different level of education. Methodology that is used in this article is qualitative method, and techniques of data collection are interview and observation. Technique of choosing informant is purposive and convenience while data analysis is using content analysis. The result of this study shows that leaders in MSMEs already have cultural intelligence to communicate with their employee. Objectives This review aimed to systematically synthesize the available research on the disclosure of diagnosis and related issues in childhood cancer from the perspectives of healthcare professionals,with the goal of...Objectives This review aimed to systematically synthesize the available research on the disclosure of diagnosis and related issues in childhood cancer from the perspectives of healthcare professionals,with the goal of informing the optimization of disclosure processes and meeting the communication needs of affected families.Methods In accordance with the Joanna Briggs Institute(JBI)methodology for mixed methods systematic reviews,the convergent segregated approach was used in this review.Articles were retrieved from 11 databases,including PubMed,Web of Science,CINAHL,CENTRAL,Embase,Ovid/Medline,PsycINFO,PsycArticles,Scopus,ERIC,and China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI).The quality of the selected articles was assessed using the Mixed Method Appraisal Tool(MMAT).The review protocol was registered on PROSPERO(CRD42024542746).Results A total of 21 studies from 10 countries were included.Their methodological quality was generally medium to high,with MMAT scores ranging from 60%to 100%.The synthesis yielded three core themes:1)the spectrum of professional and societal attitudes toward disclosure;2)the dynamic practices of navigating disclosure amid uncertainty,including timing and environment,stakeholders,and content of disclosure;and 3)factors influencing disclosure,including children’s,parental,healthcare professionals’,and socio-cultural factors.Conclusions This review synthesized the perspectives and experiences of healthcare professionals regarding disclosure in childhood cancer,highlighting the complexity and multidimensional nature of this process in clinical practice.Future research should further investigate the experiences and needs of children and their parents,explore cultural variations in disclosure practices,develop context-appropriate assessment tools,and construct multidimensional intervention strategies to enhance the humanistic care and professional effectiveness of the disclosure process.展开更多
Efficient energy utilization in covert communication sustains covertness while assuring communication quality and efficiency.This paper investigates covert communication energy efficiency(EE)in direct uplink satellite...Efficient energy utilization in covert communication sustains covertness while assuring communication quality and efficiency.This paper investigates covert communication energy efficiency(EE)in direct uplink satellite-ground communications,focusing on enhancing system EE via optimized transmit beamforming and satellite orbit altitude selection.This paper first establishes an optimization problem to maximize system EE in a direct uplink satelliteground covert communication scenario.To solve this non-convex optimization problem,it is decomposed into two subproblems and solved using the successive convex approximation(SCA)method.Based on the above methods,this paper proposes an overall iterative optimization algorithm.Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm surpasses the conventional baseline algorithms in terms of system EE.Furthermore,they elucidate the correlation between the amount of information received by the receiver and the variations in the satellite’s orbital altitude.展开更多
To address the issue of instability or even imbalance in the orientation and attitude control of quadrotor unmanned aerial vehicles(QUAVs)under random disturbances,this paper proposes a distributed antidisturbance dat...To address the issue of instability or even imbalance in the orientation and attitude control of quadrotor unmanned aerial vehicles(QUAVs)under random disturbances,this paper proposes a distributed antidisturbance data-driven event-triggered fusion control method,which achieves efficient fault diagnosis while suppressing random disturbances and mitigating communication conflicts within the QUAV swarm.First,the impact of random disturbances on the UAV swarm is analyzed,and a model for orientation and attitude control of QUAVs under stochastic perturbations is established,with the disturbance gain threshold determined.Second,a fault diagnosis system based on a high-gain observer is designed,constructing a fault gain criterion by integrating orientation and attitude information from QUAVs.Subsequently,a model-free dynamic linearization-based data modeling(MFDLDM)framework is developed using model-free adaptive control,which efficiently fits the nonlinear control model of the QUAV swarm while reducing temporal constraints on control data.On this basis,this paper constructs a distributed data-driven event-triggered controller based on the staggered communication mechanism,which consists of an equivalent QUAV controller and an event-triggered controller,and is able to reduce the communication conflicts while suppressing the influence of random interference.Finally,by incorporating random disturbances into the controller,comparative experiments and physical validations are conducted on the QUAV platforms,fully demonstrating the strong adaptability and robustness of the proposed distributed event-triggered fault-tolerant control system.展开更多

In data communication,limited communication resources often lead to measurement bias,which adversely affects subsequent system estimation if not effectively handled.This paper proposes a novel bias calibration algorit...In data communication,limited communication resources often lead to measurement bias,which adversely affects subsequent system estimation if not effectively handled.This paper proposes a novel bias calibration algorithm under communication constraints to achieve accurate system states of the interested system.An output-based event-triggered scheme is first employed to alleviate transmission burden.Accounting for the limited-communication-induced measurement bias,a novel bias calibration algorithm following the Kalman filtering line is developed to restrain the effect of the measurement bias on system estimation,thereby achieving accurate system state estimates.Subsequently,the Field Programmable Gate Array(FPGA)implementation of the proposed algorithm is also realized with the hope of providing fast bias calibration in practical scenarios.A simulation about a numerical example and a practical example(for gyroscope’s angular velocity bias calibration)on MATLAB is provided to demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.展开更多
The smart meter communication system has substantial application value for the construction and upgrading of the entire power system.The deployment of the transmitter(Tx)of the smart meter system in the residential sc...The smart meter communication system has substantial application value for the construction and upgrading of the entire power system.The deployment of the transmitter(Tx)of the smart meter system in the residential scenarios is vexed by the need for more theoretical support.This paper mainly studies the communication channel between the Tx at semibasement and receiver(Rx)at outdoor.The design of an effective communication system relies on an accurate understanding of channel characteristics.Channel measurements and ray-tracing channel modeling are conducted to obtain channel data.The influence of different positions at same semi-basement is studied.Typical channel characteristics are analyzed,such as power delay profile(PDP),power angular profile(PAP),root-mean-square(RMS)delay spread(DS),channel capacity,received power,and path loss.The influence of different semi-basement placements and different floor heights is also compared.Besides,the channel measurements and simulation data fit well,which can illustrate the validity and reliability of the acquired channel data.This paper can provide theoretical support for the design and optimization of smart meter communication systems in semi-basement scenarios.展开更多

文摘Efficient energy utilization in covert communication sustains covertness while assuring communication quality and efficiency.This paper investigates covert communication energy efficiency(EE)in direct uplink satellite-ground communications,focusing on enhancing system EE via optimized transmit beamforming and satellite orbit altitude selection.This paper first establishes an optimization problem to maximize system EE in a direct uplink satelliteground covert communication scenario.To solve this non-convex optimization problem,it is decomposed into two subproblems and solved using the successive convex approximation(SCA)method.Based on the above methods,this paper proposes an overall iterative optimization algorithm.Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm surpasses the conventional baseline algorithms in terms of system EE.Furthermore,they elucidate the correlation between the amount of information received by the receiver and the variations in the satellite’s orbital altitude.

文摘To address the issue of instability or even imbalance in the orientation and attitude control of quadrotor unmanned aerial vehicles(QUAVs)under random disturbances,this paper proposes a distributed antidisturbance data-driven event-triggered fusion control method,which achieves efficient fault diagnosis while suppressing random disturbances and mitigating communication conflicts within the QUAV swarm.First,the impact of random disturbances on the UAV swarm is analyzed,and a model for orientation and attitude control of QUAVs under stochastic perturbations is established,with the disturbance gain threshold determined.Second,a fault diagnosis system based on a high-gain observer is designed,constructing a fault gain criterion by integrating orientation and attitude information from QUAVs.Subsequently,a model-free dynamic linearization-based data modeling(MFDLDM)framework is developed using model-free adaptive control,which efficiently fits the nonlinear control model of the QUAV swarm while reducing temporal constraints on control data.On this basis,this paper constructs a distributed data-driven event-triggered controller based on the staggered communication mechanism,which consists of an equivalent QUAV controller and an event-triggered controller,and is able to reduce the communication conflicts while suppressing the influence of random interference.Finally,by incorporating random disturbances into the controller,comparative experiments and physical validations are conducted on the QUAV platforms,fully demonstrating the strong adaptability and robustness of the proposed distributed event-triggered fault-tolerant control system.

文摘In data communication,limited communication resources often lead to measurement bias,which adversely affects subsequent system estimation if not effectively handled.This paper proposes a novel bias calibration algorithm under communication constraints to achieve accurate system states of the interested system.An output-based event-triggered scheme is first employed to alleviate transmission burden.Accounting for the limited-communication-induced measurement bias,a novel bias calibration algorithm following the Kalman filtering line is developed to restrain the effect of the measurement bias on system estimation,thereby achieving accurate system state estimates.Subsequently,the Field Programmable Gate Array(FPGA)implementation of the proposed algorithm is also realized with the hope of providing fast bias calibration in practical scenarios.A simulation about a numerical example and a practical example(for gyroscope’s angular velocity bias calibration)on MATLAB is provided to demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

文摘The smart meter communication system has substantial application value for the construction and upgrading of the entire power system.The deployment of the transmitter(Tx)of the smart meter system in the residential scenarios is vexed by the need for more theoretical support.This paper mainly studies the communication channel between the Tx at semibasement and receiver(Rx)at outdoor.The design of an effective communication system relies on an accurate understanding of channel characteristics.Channel measurements and ray-tracing channel modeling are conducted to obtain channel data.The influence of different positions at same semi-basement is studied.Typical channel characteristics are analyzed,such as power delay profile(PDP),power angular profile(PAP),root-mean-square(RMS)delay spread(DS),channel capacity,received power,and path loss.The influence of different semi-basement placements and different floor heights is also compared.Besides,the channel measurements and simulation data fit well,which can illustrate the validity and reliability of the acquired channel data.This paper can provide theoretical support for the design and optimization of smart meter communication systems in semi-basement scenarios.
