Study on the Introduction of Plants with Colored Foliage in Zhengzhou Area and Their Adaptability 被引量:4

[Objective] This study aimed to preliminarily select the plants with colored foliage adaptable to Zhengzhou area. [Method] An introduction trial on 42 varieties with colored foliage was conducted, in which major ornamental characteristics, phenological phases and stress resistance of all the introduced plants with colored foliage were observed and the introduced plants were comprehensively evaluated. [Result] Golden-and Compound-leaved Maple, Red-leaved Sakura, Pink-and Compound-leaved Maple, Amur Maple, Purple-leaved Canadian Redbud with good performance were selected preliminarily, which can be applied for landscape in Zhengzhou area. Among them, Golden- and Compound-leaved Maple, Golden- and Silvery-leaved Maple and Purple-leaved Smoketree can either be planted separately, or in a line as boulevard trees, or in groups as ornamental forest; Red-leaved Sakura, Pink- and Compound-leaved Maple and Purple-leaved Canadian Redbud can be planted in groups or separately in gardens, parks or alongside streets or in front of buildings; Amur Maple with high adaptability is a excellent tree species for afforesting barren mountain. [Conclusion] This study has not only provided new excellent germplasm sources for the landscaping in Zhengzhou area, thus favoring the improvement of local landscaping level, but also provides examples and references for the introduction of plants with colored foliage in the other areas. 展开更多

Effects of Pigment Indicators on the Color Expression of Leaves of the Colored-leaf Garden Plants 被引量:1

[Objective] In this study, the relationship between the pigments and the color expression of leaves of colored-leaf plants was discussed. [Method] The colors of leaf blades of 6 kinds of plants were analyzed with the ... [Objective] In this study, the relationship between the pigments and the color expression of leaves of colored-leaf plants was discussed. [Method] The colors of leaf blades of 6 kinds of plants were analyzed with the Royal Horticultural Soci-ety Colour Chart. The chlorophyl content, carotenoids content and anthocyanin con-tent in leaf blades were determined. In addition, the color types of leaf blades, kinds of pigments, pigment contents and pigment distributions of 6 kinds of plants were compared. [Result] The chlorophyl contents ranked as Populus canadensis Moench (green leaves) 〉 Populus deltoids cv. Zhonghuahongye (purple green leaves) 〉 Populus euramericana cv. Quanhong (red leaves); Acer palmatum Thunb. (green leaves) 〉 Acer palmatum cv. Atropurpureum (purple red leaves) 〉 Acer pal-matum Thunb. cv. Atropurpureum (red leaves). The ranking of anthocyanin contents was just opposite. The chlorophyl content was negatively related to the anthocyanin content. The leaf color of plants is determined by various pigments. The more the chlorophyl is, the greener the leaf is. The more the anthocyanin is, the redder the leaf is. In the colored-leaf plants, the chlorophyl content represents about 80% of the content of pigments, the carotenoids content represents about 17%, and the an-thocyanin represents about 3%. There is a difference in the chlorophyl content be-tween colored-leaf plants and green plants. However, the relatively low chlorophyl content wil not hamper the normal life activities of colored-leaf plants. [Conclusion] We hoped to provide reference and basis for the production and landscaping of col-ored-leaf plants. 展开更多

The Differences of Emotional Restoration Effects of Colored-Leaves Plant Communities in Urban Parks

The accelerating urbanization has exacerbated mental health challenges faced across social groups.College students,as an important group in the society,often experience multiple pressures from academic demands,familial responsibilities,and career uncertainties,making their emotional states especially susceptible to environmental influences.This study investigated and sampled the colored-leaves plant communities in urban parks of Suzhou,selected red-green palette,yellow-green palette,and single green plant communities with varied color proportions,and combined psychological indicators(PANAS scale)and physiological indicators(EEG data)to scientifically examine the differences in the influence on college students’emotional restoration.The results included:1)all plant communities significantly increased respondents’positive emotions and reduced negative emotions;2)in the comparative experiment of red-green plant communities,single green plant communities had the best effect on emotional restoration;3)in the comparative experiment of yellow-green plant communities,those with yellow color proportion of 75%~90%and 45%~60%had the best emotional restoration effect;and 4)when comparing the plant communities with the same red and yellow color proportion,the yellow-green plant community performed better than the red-green plant community.This study responds to the urgent need to pay attention to the mental health of the youth in the current urbanization process by exploring the differences of emotional restoration effects of colored-leaves plant communities.It aims to provide scientific vegetation planting and configuration suggestions for emotional restoration environments,as well as theoretical guidance for the construction of restorative landscapes. 展开更多
