Methods: a total of 92 patients were selected from the patient data from January 2020 to March 2021, and divided into groups according to the principle of double-blind method, with 46 patients in each group. The control group received conventional surgery, and the study group received nasal endoscopic surgery. Finally from the two groups of efficacy, sleep quality of patients to compare the two indicators, analysis of more advantageous treatment methods. Results: the effective rate was 95.65% in the study group and 89.13% in the control group, P < 0.05. In terms of sleep quality, the study group was better at different time after surgery (P < 0.05). Conclusion: nasal endoscopy can be used to treat chronic sinusitis and nasal polyp. This method can improve the effect of conventional surgery, and ensure the safety and effectiveness of patient treatment;at the same time, it can also improve sleep quality and has obvious advantages, so it can be further promoted.展开更多

This rhinitis is triggered by inhalation of allergens, such as pollen, and this condition has a negative impact on the quality of life. AR was shown to be associated with a number of co-morbidities, including hypothyroidism, asthma, and chronic sinusitis. Objective: This study aimed to assess AR-associated comorbidities in patients presenting symptoms and paranasal sinus computed tomography (CT) scan findings in Taif City, Saudi Arabia. Methods: This cross-sectional study evaluated medical and radiological records of AR patients retrospectively from the period of December 2018 to September 2019 in Al-Hada Armed Forces Military Hospital, Taif City, Saudi Arabia. Results: A total of 103 AR patients with a mean age of 39.0 ± 15.6 years with 55.3% males and 44.7% females. The three most common associated comorbidities in allergic rhinitis patients were chronic sinusitis (28.2%), hypothyroidism (21.4%), and asthma (8.7%). Nasal obstruction (30.1%) was the symptom most frequently presented by all patients. Mucosal thickening occurred most frequently in patients with associated chronic sinusitis, while bilateral osteomeatal complex obliteration was observed mostly in asthmatic patients, and bony boundary thinning was more prevalent among patients with associated hypothyroidism. Conclusion: The gender distribution of AR was 10% more common among males;however, the most common three comorbidites in allergic rhinitis patients were chronic sinusitis, hypothyroidism, and asthma, and most of those patients were females. Hypothyroidism can be a hidden predisposing factor for AR, while chronic sinusitis can be caused by AR due to secretion stasis or immune system activation.展开更多

Methods: 50 patients with chronic sinusitis admitted from November 2019 to October 2020 were selected and included in the study. All patients underwent frontal sinus drainage system examination with CT. The patients underwent cross-sectional scanning first, and then underwent coronal and sagittal three-dimensional reconstruction through the workstation. The CT imaging anatomy characteristics of frontal sinus drainage system and its application value in chronic sinusitis were analyzed. Results: in the CT examination results, 100 sides of uncinate process were detected, including the papyraceous lamina, the air chamber of the nasal dome, the middle turbinate, the anterior skull base and the bifurcation accounted for 35.0%, 12.0%, 27.0% and 17.0% respectively, 90 cases of air chamber of the frontal recess were detected, including the terminal air chamber, the air chamber of the nasal dome and the air chamber of the anterior ethmoid, accounted for 55.6%, 22.2% and 22.2% respectively, 92 cases of air chamber of the frontal sinus were detected, including the air chamber of the frontal recess, the air chamber of the supraorbital, the air chamber of the frontal sinus accounted for 32.6% and 43.5%, 23.9% respectively. Conclusion: CT can effectively clarify the anatomical structure of the frontal sinus drainage system and effectively detect various lesions, providing detailed basis for clinical disease diagnosis and surgical treatment.展开更多
