Effect of Te doping on superconductivity and charge-density wave in dichalcogenides 2H-NbSe2-xTex (x = 0, 0.1, 0.2)

Single crystals of Te-doped dichalcogenides 2H-NbSe2-xTex (x ---- 0, 0.10, 0.20) were grown by vapour transport method. The effect of Te doping on the superconducting and charge-density wave (CDW) transitions has been investigated. The sharp decrease of residual resistance ratio, RRR = R(3OOK)/R(SK), with increasing Te content was observed, indicating that the disorder in the conducting plane is induced by Te doping. Meanwhile the superconducting transition temperature, Tc, decreases monotonically with Te content. However, the CDW transition temperature, TCDW, shown by a small jump in the temperature dependence of the resistivity near 30 K, increases slightly. The results show that the suppression of superconductivity might be caused by the enhancement of CDW ordering. The disorder has little influence on the CDW ordering. 展开更多

The kagome superconductor CsV_(3)Sb_(5) with exotic electronic properties has attracted substantial research interest,and the interplay between the superconductivity and the charge-density wave is crucial for understanding its unusual electronic ground state.In this work,we performed resistivity and AC magnetic susceptibility measurements on CsV_(3)Sb_(5) single crystals uniaxially-strained along[100]and[110]directions.We find that the uniaxial-strain tuning effect of T_(c)(dT_(c)/dε)and T_(CDW)(dT_(CDW)/dε)are almost identical along these distinct high-symmetry directions.These findings suggest the in-plane uniaxial-strain-tuning of T_(c) and T_(CDW)in CsV_(3)Sb_(5) are dominated by associated c-axis strain,whereas the response to purely in-plane strains is likely small. 展开更多

We present atomic-resolution images of TiSe2,MoTe2 and TaS2 single crystals in liquid condition using our home-built scanning tunneling microscopy(STM).By facilely cleaving of single crystals in liquid,we were able to keep the fresh surface not oxidized within a few hours.Using the high-stable home-built STM,we have obtained atomic resolution images of TiSe2 accompanied with the single atom defects as well as the triangle defects in solution for the first time.Besides,the superstructure of MoTe2 and hexagonal chargedensity wave domain structure in nearly commensurate phase of TaS2 were also obtained at room temperature(295 K).Our results provide a more efficient method in investigating the lively surface of transition metal dichalcogenides.Besides,the high stable liquid-phase STM will support the further investigations in liquid-phase catalysis or electrochemistry. 展开更多
