Time delay and integration (TDI) charge coupled device (CCD) noise sets a fundamental limit on image sensor performance, especially under low illumination in remote sensing applications. After introducing the complete sources of CCD noise, we study the effects of TDI operation mode on noise, and the relationship between different types of noise and number of the TDI stage. Then we propose a new technique to identify and measure sources of TDI CCD noise employing mathematical statistics theory, where theoretical analysis shows that noise estimated formulation converges well. Finally, we establish a testing platform to carry out experiments, and a standard TDI CCD is calibrated by using the proposed method. The experimental results show that the noise analysis and measurement methods presented in this paper are useful for modeling TDI CCDs. 展开更多

A nonlinearity measurement of the charge-coupled device(CCD) array spectrometer using flux addition and comparison method is described. The light with various colors from the colorful light emitting diode(LED) light source is applied to measure the nonlinearity of the spectrometer at different wavelengths, respectively. An high-end CCD array spectrometer is tested. For colorful LED light sources, the nonlinearity factors of the CCD array spectrometer(absolute value) are as follows: k<0.8% for white light, k <1.1% for red light, k <2.2% for green light and k<4.7% for blue light. By using those quasi-monochromatic light sources, it is shown that the nonlinearity depends on the wavelength. It is important to be wariness about the spectral nonlinearity and related uncertainty evaluation when the narrow-band light source is tested. 展开更多

Considering the nonlinearity of the CCD’s material parameters and the melting phase transition process of aluminum electrode materials was considered by using equivalent specific heat capacity method, the physical process where a laser pulse irradiating a CCD pixel array was simulated using COMSOL Multiphysics software. The temperature field and thermal stress field were calculated and analyzed. In order to clarify the mechanism producing damage on the CCD detector, Raman spectra from silicon were measured with a micro-Raman spectrometer to determine stress change in the CCD chip. The procedure presented herein illustrates a method for evaluating strain in a CCD after laser irradiation. </div> 展开更多

An experimental method to study the influence of surface contamination of a thinned, backside illuminated charge-coupled device(CCD) upon its quantum efficiency in soft X-ray region is suggested. A transmission grating spectrometer(TGS), in which the transmission grating is coupled to a thinned, backside illuminated charge coupled device, is used to measure the continuum X-ray emission from the end of cylindrical target irradiated by laser. In the measured spectra, only the carbon K absorption edge at wavelength of 4.4 um due to condensation of the vacuum oil oil the CCD surface is clearly seen. The surface contamination is considered as an effective "carbon filter" and the filter absorption to correct the quantum efficiency of the CCD camera is taken into account. The effective thickness of the carbon filter is determined by comparing the jump height of the measured spectra at 4.4um with those of the carbon absorption coefficient curves obtained from various carbon thickness. The accuracy of this method is tested by comparing the X-ray spectrum measured by the TGS with that obtained by a soft X-ray spectrometer. 展开更多

Objective: To observe the tested results of the segmental range of motion (ROM) of lumbar spine by charge couple device (CCD)-based system for 3-dimensional real-time positioning (CCD system), and to analyze its clinical significance. Methods: Seven patients with lumbar joint dysfunction and 8 healthy subjects were tested twice by the CCD-based system with an interval of 10 min. Results: The ROM of the patients was obviously lesser than that of the healthy subjects. The measuring data of segmental ROM of lumbar spine by CCD system is correlated significantly to the same data checked later on the same subjects in every direction of the movements. The differences between two checks are usually less than 1 degree. Conclusion: Specially designed CCD based system for 3-dimensional real-time positioning could objectively reflect the segmental ROM of lumbar spine. The system would be of great clinical significance in the assessment of the biomechanical dysfunction of lumbar spine and the effect of the treatment applied. 展开更多

A two-wavelength pyrometry device using ordinary array CCD (charge coupled device) to collect the ra- diation data in the horizontal and vertical directions has been developed for measuring the cathode surface temperature during the arc discharge. Analyses of experimental results show that the device can make the measurement of the cathode surface temperature feasible. The cathode surface temperatures measured are lower than the melting point of tungsten (3653 K), and the arc current, cathode diameter, and the cathode length are the main influencing factors of the cathode surface temperature. 展开更多

为解决小像元行间转移电荷耦合器件(ITCCD)的电荷转换灵敏度低以及强光照射下出现的光晕问题,对行间转移CCD器件拓扑结构、像元抗晕结构、片上读出电路以及工艺等技术进行研究,设计并研制了一款高清行间转移CCD图像传感器,器件有效阵列... 为解决小像元行间转移电荷耦合器件(ITCCD)的电荷转换灵敏度低以及强光照射下出现的光晕问题,对行间转移CCD器件拓扑结构、像元抗晕结构、片上读出电路以及工艺等技术进行研究,设计并研制了一款高清行间转移CCD图像传感器,器件有效阵列规模为1 920×1 080元,像素尺寸为7.4μm×7.4μm。测试结果表明,器件突破了1.0μm多晶硅栅长放大器设计及制作技术,器件电荷转换灵敏度可至22.4μV/e^(-),饱和电压输出为1 300 mV。为实现抗晕功能,器件采用了n型埋沟-鞍形p阱-n型衬底纵向抗晕结构,器件抗晕能力达200倍,可满足器件在复杂光照环境下高灵敏成像要求。 展开更多

A Princeton Instruments PI-LCX 1300 charge-coupled device (CCD) camera used for X-ray spectrum measurements in laser-plasma experiments is calibrated using three radioactive sources and investigated with the Monte Carlo code Geant4. The exposure level is controlled to make the CCD work in single photon counting mode. A summation algorithm for obtaining accurate X-ray spectra is developed to reconstruct the X-ray spectra, and the results show that the developed algorithm effectively reduces the low-energy tail caused by split pixel events. The obtained CCD energy response shows good linearity. The detection efficiency curves from both Monte Carlo simulations and the manufacturer agree well with the experimental results. This consistency demonstrates that event losses in charge collection processes are negligible when the developed summation algorithm of sDlit Dixel events is emDloved. 展开更多

A stable and homogeneous well-aligned air microplasma device for application at atmospheric pressure is designed and its electrical and optical characteristics are investigated. Current-voltage measurements and intensified charge coupled device (ICCD) images show that the well-aligned air microplasma device is able to generate a large-area and homogeneous discharge at the applied voltages ranging from 12 kV to 14 kV, with a repetition frequency of 5 kHz, which is attributed to the diffusion effect of plasma on dielectric surface. Moreover, this well-aligned microplasma device may result in the uniform and large-area surface modification of heat-sensitive PET polymers without damage, such as optimization in hydrophobicity and biocompatibility. In the biomedical field, the utility of this well-aligned microplasma device is further testified. It proves to be very efficient for the large-area and uniform inactivation of E. coli cells with a density of 103/cm2 on LB agar plate culture medium, and inactivation efficiency can reach up to 99% for 2-min treatment. 展开更多

为了研究电荷耦合器件(CCD)和互补金属氧化物半导体(CMOS)两种典型图像传感器在532 nm纳秒脉冲激光作用下的干扰效果,基于ISO-21254的测试方法,分别在大气和真空环境下开展了532 nm纳秒脉冲激光干扰CCD和CMOS的实验研究;对比分析了50 m... 为了研究电荷耦合器件(CCD)和互补金属氧化物半导体(CMOS)两种典型图像传感器在532 nm纳秒脉冲激光作用下的干扰效果,基于ISO-21254的测试方法,分别在大气和真空环境下开展了532 nm纳秒脉冲激光干扰CCD和CMOS的实验研究;对比分析了50 ms的曝光时间内,不同作用脉冲数对干扰效果的影响,并对比了大气与真空条件下的干扰效果。结果表明,532 nm纳秒激光对CCD和CMOS具有明显的干扰效应,均出现了光学饱和现象,且CCD存在“反饱和”与“饱和串音”现象;随着作用脉冲数的增加,饱和像素数随激光能量密度线性增长,且作用脉冲数越多,增长速度越快;CCD在真空中的干扰效果优于大气中的,而CMOS在大气中的干扰效果更为明显,且CMOS比CCD具有更好的抗532 nm纳秒脉冲激光干扰的能力。此研究结果为实际应用环境中探测器的选择提供了参考依据。 展开更多

本文研究了CMYG系列彩色CCD探测器在1064 nm连续激光下的损伤特性。结合彩色CCD多层结构的损伤形貌、损伤深度以及激光辐照后的输出图像,分析了彩色CCD不同阶段的损伤机理。根据实验现象将彩色CCD的损伤过程分为点损伤,线损伤和完全损... 本文研究了CMYG系列彩色CCD探测器在1064 nm连续激光下的损伤特性。结合彩色CCD多层结构的损伤形貌、损伤深度以及激光辐照后的输出图像,分析了彩色CCD不同阶段的损伤机理。根据实验现象将彩色CCD的损伤过程分为点损伤,线损伤和完全损伤三个阶段。研究表明,在点损伤阶段,彩色CCD输出图像出现颜色变化,主要是1064 nm激光导致分色滤色片损伤引起的。在线损伤阶段,出现纵向白色亮线损伤,是由于部分激光经过透射和衍射进入传输沟道,引起信号电荷溢出传输势阱导致的。时钟线和各个电极之间的损伤导致部分像素无法通过时钟驱动完成信号电荷包转移,产生横向暗线。在完全损伤阶段,因N型硅基底的损伤使信号电荷无法完成转换、储存和转移动作,导致彩色CCD完全失去成像能力。 展开更多

To know about the radiation effects on the super large array 9 k×9 k CCDs used in a space telescope induced by energetic protons,the experiments of the super large array 9 k×9 k charge coupled devices(CCDs)used in the space telescope irradiated by 60 MeV and 100 MeV protons are presented.The samples were exposed by 60 MeV and 100 MeV protons at fluences of 5×10^(9)/cm^(2) and 1×10^(10)/cm^(2),respectively.The degradations of the main performance parameters of the super large array CCDs which are paid special attention to the space telescope are investigated.The full well capacity,mean dark current,and the charge transfer inefficiency(CTI)versus proton fluence are presented,which are tested at very low temperature of-85℃.The annealing tests of 168 h were carried out after proton irradiation.The dark images before and after proton irradiation are also presented to compare the image degradation.The degradation mechanisms of the super large array CCDs irradiated by protons are analyzed.The experimental results show that the main performance parameters of the CCDs are degraded after 60 MeV and 100 MeV protons and the degradations induced by 60 MeV protons are larger than that induced by 100 MeV protons.The experimental results of the super large array CCDs irradiated by protons will provide the basic test data support for orbit life assessment of the space telescope. 展开更多

增强型电荷耦合器件(ICCD)的性能直接影响源放大激光诱导击穿光谱(laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy,LIBS)的定量分析性能。研究不同ICCD制冷温度(10℃、0℃、-10℃、-20℃和-30℃)对源放大LIBS定性和定量分析水中氮的影响。研究发... 增强型电荷耦合器件(ICCD)的性能直接影响源放大激光诱导击穿光谱(laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy,LIBS)的定量分析性能。研究不同ICCD制冷温度(10℃、0℃、-10℃、-20℃和-30℃)对源放大LIBS定性和定量分析水中氮的影响。研究发现,随着ICCD温度降低,定标曲线的线性相关决定系数R^(2)由0.8098提升到0.9898;检测极限(limit of detection,LOD)由23.762 mg·L^(-1)变化到0.131 mg·L^(-1);预测浓度的平均相对误差(average relative error,RE_(AV))由34.97%减少至5.04%;交叉验证均方根误差(root mean square error of crossvalidation,RMSECV)由19.8858 mg·L^(-1)变化到4.8674 mg·L^(-1)。实验结果表明,降低ICCD制冷温度能够提升LIBS的定量分析灵敏度和准确度。 展开更多

以航空航天、科学研究、工业应用、消费电子等领域广泛应用的ICX285AL面阵电荷耦合器件(charge coupled devices,CCD)为研究对象,设计了一款以可编程门阵列(field programmable gate array,FPGA)为控制核心的面阵CCD辐射敏感参数测试电... 以航空航天、科学研究、工业应用、消费电子等领域广泛应用的ICX285AL面阵电荷耦合器件(charge coupled devices,CCD)为研究对象,设计了一款以可编程门阵列(field programmable gate array,FPGA)为控制核心的面阵CCD辐射敏感参数测试电路,该测试电路主要包括FPGA控制模块、CCD驱动模块、A/D相关双采样模块、数据传输模块、电源模块等。在硬件电路设计方面,开展了测试电路功能模块划分及各模块核心芯片选型,设计了测试电路原理图,并对PCB板上布局布线进行了优化设计。在测试电路驱动程序设计方面,采用Verilog HDL硬件描述语言进行FPGA驱动程序开发,通过FPGA输出的时序控制脉冲实现图像数据采集、信号处理与转换、数据传输通信等功能。该测试电路将模拟信号和数字信号进行了板级分离,避免了测试电路中高频数字信号引入的噪声对高精度模拟信号的干扰。通过开展质子辐照试验,测出了质子辐照诱发CCD性能退化的典型特征规律,验证了该测试电路设计的可靠性及对辐射效应测试的适用性。本文的研究可为开展CCD辐照效应试验研究提供测试技术支持。 展开更多

为了在现有CCD像元尺寸的基础上提高CCD像元分辨力,对CCD几何超分辨问题进行了研究。从研究现状入手,给出了现有算法及其不足,建立了亚像元超分辨成像数学模型,提出了亚像元的CCD几何超分辨方法。该方法将两片线阵CCD集成在同一器件中,... 为了在现有CCD像元尺寸的基础上提高CCD像元分辨力,对CCD几何超分辨问题进行了研究。从研究现状入手,给出了现有算法及其不足,建立了亚像元超分辨成像数学模型,提出了亚像元的CCD几何超分辨方法。该方法将两片线阵CCD集成在同一器件中,在线阵方向上错开半个像元,同时读出时间减半,最终交织重组图像数据,以合成高分辨率图像。利用MATLAB7.0.1软件对双线性插值方法及亚像元成像方法进行了仿真,并定性定量地分析了两种方法的效果。结果显示:亚像元方法合成图像分辨率约为低分辨率图像的2倍,且两组仿真图像中的PSNR比双线性插值图像分别高出1.4864dB和2.2070dB。该方法可以显著地减轻欠采样引起的图像模糊,且实时性优于双线性插值方法。 展开更多

遥感在农作物病虫害监测中广泛采用的简单植被指数阈值法难以判别冬小麦的健康状况。该研究选择二值逻辑回归法,分别建立实测光谱得到的植被指数与其健康状况之间的关系模型。结果表明,重归一化植被指数RDVI模型和三角植被指数TVI模型... 遥感在农作物病虫害监测中广泛采用的简单植被指数阈值法难以判别冬小麦的健康状况。该研究选择二值逻辑回归法,分别建立实测光谱得到的植被指数与其健康状况之间的关系模型。结果表明,重归一化植被指数RDVI模型和三角植被指数TVI模型可信度较好。考虑到遥感监测冬小麦病虫害时,涉及的地域范围广,冬小麦生长状况存在明显的局域差异,采用了3×3邻域像元的一致性假设消除局部环境差异。将模型应用到中国新近发射的环境与灾害监测预报小卫星星座HJ-CCD传感器数据,得到提取的冬小麦受病虫害胁迫范围与枣阳市植保站普查结果相符,也与地面实测结果相一致,其中,TVI模型结果的精度达到76.47%,能够满足农作物病虫害面积遥感监测要求。 展开更多
