Decreasing costs and favorable policies have resulted in increased penetration of solar photovoltaic(PV)power generation in distribution networks.As the PV systems penetration is likely to increase in the future,utilizing the reactive power capability of PV inverters to mitigate voltage deviations is being promoted.In recent years,droop control of inverter-based distributed energy resources has emerged as an essential tool for use in this study.The participation of PV systems in voltage regulation and its coordination with existing controllers,such as on-load tap changers,is paramount for controlling the voltage within specified limits.In this work,control strategies are presented that can be coordinated with the existing controls in a distributed manner.The effectiveness of the proposed method was demonstrated through simulation results on a distribution system. 展开更多

To enhance machining efficiency,tool change time has to be reduced.Thus,for an automatic tool changer attached to a machining center,the tool change time is to be reduced.Also the automatic tool changer is a main part of the machining center as a driving source.The static attributes of the automatic tool changer using the commercial code,ANSYS Workbench V12,were tried to interpret.And the optimum design of automatic tool changer arm was proposed by performing the multi-stage optimum design.The shape optimization of the automatic tool changer was proposed and the result was verified to obtain acceptable improvements.It is possible to obtain an optimized model in which the maximum deformation,maximum stress,and mass are reduced by 10.46%,12.89% and 9.26%,respectively,compared with those of the initial model.Also,the results between conventional method by the design of experiments and proposed method by the multi-stage optimum design method were compared. 展开更多

China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is dreamed to be the game changer not only for China and Pakistan but other 50 regional, Middle East, Central Asian Republics, and European countries too. It is one of its kind a huge project with billion US$ investment by China. Since its inception, the internal controversies and disputes in Pakistan on the sharing of benefits as well as interests and concerns of the regional and international players are posing threats to it. The review article aims to investigate and analyze the strengths and weakness and opportunities and threats (SWOT) for CPEC. To analyze the qualitative data, a computer based software program ATLAS.ti was used by employing multiple methods like discourse, hermeneutics, and heuristic by Moustakas. The schematic model of the theoretical framework elaborates the association and impact between and on the dependent, independent, and mediating variables of the study. It was found that if the security, political support, internal and external threats, coordination and cooperation and involvement of stakeholders are properly addressed, the CPEC will bear the fruits. 展开更多

As one of the key components of a UHV converter transformer,the suitable switching condition of the vacuum onload tap changer(OLTC)is essential for the stability of the power system.It is highly desirable to interpret OLTC’s switching procedure to assess OLTC’s switching condition.However,such work can’t be solved by vibration analysis alone.Therefore,this paper proposes an innovative electromechanical comprehensive analysis method.First,a joint motor drive current,vibration,and electromagnetic signals online monitoring system is established and deployed in a VRG type OLTC in±800 kV converter station.Second,independent component analysis(ICA),dynamic time warping(DTW),and wavelet transform(WT)are used for processing motor current,UHFCT,and vibration signals,respectively,to extract electromechanical pulses corresponding to OLTC’s contact actions.Third,the switching procedure of OLTC is revealed by comprehensively analyzing the corresponding time relationship between these extracted pulses,combined with OLTC’s timing sequence.The methodologies developed in this paper can help to interpret OLTC’s switching procedure for deeper and finer online condition assessment. 展开更多

Distribution networks have been experiencing significant changes under the pressure of the energy transition.The high integration of renewable energy sources combined with the electrification process introduces new challenges in managing distribution networks.Innovative solutions aimed at optimizing the control of complex problems,starting from historical data instead of a detailed system model,have been growing due to rapid development in artificial intelligence and machine learning.This paper proposes a Q-learning algorithm to control the tap setting of the on-load tap changer installed in primary substation transformers.The ultimate goal is to maintain voltage magnitudes at all busses of the medium-voltage distribution network within a safe range,simultaneously optimizing on-load tap changer operations.As a case study,the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is assessed using a real medium-voltage distribution network with high penetration of renewable energy sources that supplies more than 2500 users/prosumers.The ability of the proposed algorithm to control bus voltages is tested in several scenarios characterized by significant variability and uncertainty.Outcomes show that the proposed algorithm is suitable for optimizing voltage control in distribution networks using a data-driven approach. 展开更多

换流变是高压直流输电系统中的核心设备,决定着直流输电系统的安全稳定运行。近年来,有多起因换流变分接开关故障导致的换流变损毁、直流停运事故发生。从继电保护角度看,传统换流变保护配置方案反应换流变分接开关故障存在速动性差、... 换流变是高压直流输电系统中的核心设备,决定着直流输电系统的安全稳定运行。近年来,有多起因换流变分接开关故障导致的换流变损毁、直流停运事故发生。从继电保护角度看,传统换流变保护配置方案反应换流变分接开关故障存在速动性差、灵敏度不足的问题。本文在研究换流变分接开关故障机理的基础上,提出一种换流变分接开关的专用保护方案。该方案同时采集并利用换流变电气量和非电气量信息,引入正弦信号半周绝对值积分算法,由计及换流变挡位信息的快速差动保护判据和非电气量检测判据共同构成。理论分析和仿真实验结果表明,该保护方案在不降低可靠性的前提下,其动作速度相对传统换流变保护快15 ms,可解决当前因换流变分接开关故障切除时间过长而导致的换流变损毁问题。 展开更多

油浸式真空有载分接开关(on-load tap-changer,OLTC)在进行带载切换时,仅能获得奇数与偶数挡两侧的电气波形。当波形出现异常,由于OLTC结构与切换逻辑复杂,难以直接判定成因。鉴于此,该文以单电阻真空OLTC的带载切换试验为对象,首先搭建... 油浸式真空有载分接开关(on-load tap-changer,OLTC)在进行带载切换时,仅能获得奇数与偶数挡两侧的电气波形。当波形出现异常,由于OLTC结构与切换逻辑复杂,难以直接判定成因。鉴于此,该文以单电阻真空OLTC的带载切换试验为对象,首先搭建OLTC切换试验的仿真电路模型,通过仿真波形与试验波形的对比,验证模型的准确性;接着,引入一种用于定性描述开关触头间电弧放电的仿真模块,将模型输出与异常录波对照,定位异常,并开展仿真复现予以验证。结果可知,两类典型异常波形的产生原因分别是:“转换开关触头间燃弧”和“主真空管合闸弹跳期间电流过零”;上述判定与吊芯检查结果一致。因此,异常录波结合电路仿真的分析方式能够有效定位OLTC的切换异常,可为真空OLTC的在线故障诊断与性能提升提供一定参考。 展开更多

Erosion Characteristics of Oil-immersed On-load Tap Changer Contacts Under Varying Contact Speeds and Pressures

With the growing demand for precise voltage adjustment and reactive regulation,the frequent operation of on-load tap changers(OLTCs)in oil-immersed systems has led to increased erosion of switch contacts by arcs during the switching process.This erosion causes significant wear on the contacts,thereby reducing their lifespan.Therefore,the present study aims to investigate the behavior and mechanism of arc erosion on contact surfaces in oil-immersed OLTCs.To achieve this,a self-designed friction and wear test device for OLTC contacts was utilized to conduct experiments at various sliding speeds and contact pressures.Additionally,finite element analysis was employed to validate the experimental results regarding the influence of sliding speed on arc energy.The surface morphology of the contacts was observed using an optical microscope.The findings revealed that as the sliding speed increased,the arc energy,arc initiation rate,and contact resistance initially exhibited an upward trend,then decreased,and eventually increased again.The minimum values were observed at a sliding speed of 90 mm/s.Moreover,the arc energy,arc initiation rate,and contact resistance decreased gradually as the contact pressure increased.After reaching a contact pressure of 1.5 N,the variation in the arc energy stabilized.At lower contact pressures,arc erosion dominated the wear on the contact surface.However,at higher contact pressures,the wear transitioned from predominantly arc erosion to a combination of mechanical wear and arc erosion.In summary,experimental and analytical investigations provided insights into the effects of sliding speed and contact pressure on the behavior of arc erosion,contact resistance,and surface damage of OLTC contacts in oil-immersed systems. 展开更多
