However, in recent years some approaches emerge as proper and suitable solutions. The Carpooling initiative is one of the most representative efforts to propitiate a responsible use of particular vehicles. Thus, the paper introduces a carpooling model considering the users’ preference to reach an appropriate match among drivers and passengers. In particular, the paper conducts a study of 6 of the most avid classified techniques in machine learning to create a model for the selection of travel companions. The experimental results show the models’ precision and assess the best cases using Friedman’s test. Finally, the conclusions emphasize the relevance of the proposed study and suggest that it is necessary to extend the proposal with more drives and passengers’ data.展开更多

However, attackers usually launch attacks and cause privacy leakage of carpooling users. In addition, the trust issue between unfamiliar vehicles and passengers reduces the efficiency of carpooling. To address these issues, this paper introduced a trusted and privacy-preserving carpooling matching scheme in Vehicular Networks (TPCM). Moreover, a series of experiments were conducted to verify the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed scheme. The paper begins by introducing the preparatory investigation, consultation and scheme design process, and then elaborates on the series of measures undertaken to ensure that the project runs smoothly, including the formulation and distribution of the proposal, establishment of carpooling stations, registration and management of carpooling information, signing of the voluntary undertakings, design of the carpooling stickers and encouragement of public participation through the media. The analysis of different data on the actual practice of carpooling and the results of the media survey shows that the "neighborhood carpooling" project can indeed reduce private car use and has achieved certain social benefits through media publicity. Finally, the paper points out that with the guarantee of the two-level management system involving the community administrative committee and the residents’ committees, effective community organization is the key to the successful operation of the project.展开更多

Based on 362 consumer questionnaire data, this study builds a structural equation model to discuss the driving factors of residents’ choice of online car-hailing and whether the development of online car-hailing will have a certain substitution impact on the sales of private cars. From the perspective of consumers’ purchase intention, the research results show that consumers’ price consciousness, convenience consciousness, environmental protection consciousness and possession tendency will affect their choice of travel mode, and the use of online car-hailing is positively correlated with consumers’ willingness to replace private car ownership with online car-hailing.展开更多
