Firstly, the method is tested by simulating the low Reynolds number flow at Ma =0. 5,a=0. 0, Re=5 000. Then the simulation of flow around the airfoil is carried out at Ma:0. 5, 0. 85, 1.2; a=-0.05, 1.0, 0.0, respectively. And a better result is obtained by using a local refined grid. It reduces the error produced by the grid at Ma=0. 85. Though the inviscid boundary condition is used to avoid the problem of flow transition to turbulence at high Reynolds numbers, the pressure distribution obtained by the simulation agrees well with that of the experimental results. Thus, it proves the reliability of the method and shows its potential for the compressible flow simulation. The suecessful application to the flow around airfoil lays a foundation of the numerical simulation of turbulence.展开更多

The primitive variables are pressure, velocities and temperature. The time integration scheme is used in conjunction with a finite volume discretization. The preconditioning is coupled with a high order implicit upwind scheme based on the definition of a Roe's type matrix. Computational capabilities are demonstrated through computations of high Mach number, middle Mach number, very low Mach number, and incompressible flow. It has also been demonstrated that the discontinuous surface in flow field can be captured for the implementation Roe's scheme.展开更多

文摘A hybrid central-upwind scheme is proposed. Two sub-schemes, the central difference scheme and the Roets flux difference splitting scheme, are hybridized by means of a binary sensor function. In order to examine the capability of the proposed hybrid scheme in computing compressible turbulent flow around a curved surface body, especially the flow involving shock wave, three typical eases are investigated by using detached-eddy simulation technique. Numerical results show good agreements with the experimental measurements. The present hybrid scheme can be applied to simulating the compressible flow around a curved surface body involving shock wave and turbulence.

文摘This article is devoted to the study of the so-called incompressible limit for solutions of the compressible liquid crystals system. We consider the problem in the whole space R^N and a bounded domain of R^N with Dirichlet boundary conditions. Here we set the number of dimension N = 2 or 3.

文摘A unified numerical scheme for the solutions of the compressible and incompressible Navier-Stokes equations is investigated based on a time-derivative preconditioning algorithm. It has also been demonstrated that the discontinuous surface in flow field can be captured for the implementation Roe's scheme.

文摘We develop error-control based time integration algorithms for compressible fluid dynam-ics(CFD)applications and show that they are efficient and robust in both the accuracy-limited and stability-limited regime.Focusing on discontinuous spectral element semidis-cretizations,we design new controllers for existing methods and for some new embedded Runge-Kutta pairs. We demonstrate the importance of choosing adequate controller parameters and provide a means to obtain these in practice. We compare a wide range of error-control-based methods, along with the common approach in which step size con-trol is based on the Courant-Friedrichs-Lewy(CFL)number.The optimized methods give improved performance and naturally adopt a step size close to the maximum stable CFL number at loose tolerances, while additionally providing control of the temporal error at tighter tolerances. The numerical examples include challenging industrial CFD applications.

文摘This paper reviews the authors' recent studies on compressible turbulence by using direct numerical simulation (DNS),including DNS of isotropic(decaying) turbulence, turbulent mixing-layer,turbulent boundary-layer and shock/boundary-layer interaction.Turbulence statistics, compressibility effects, turbulent kinetic energy budget and coherent structures are studied based on the DNS data. The mechanism of sound source in turbulent flows is also analyzed. It shows that DNS is a powerful tool for the mechanistic study of compressible turbulence.

文摘The cavitated bifurcation problem in a solid sphere composed oftwo compressible hyper-elas- tic materials is examined. Thebifurcation solution for the composed sphere under a uniform radialtensile boundary dead-load is obtained. The bifurcation curves andthe stress contributions subsequent to the cavita- tion are given. The right and left bifurcation as well as the catastrophe andconcentration of stresses are ana- lyzed. The stability of solutionsis discussed through an energy comparison.
