Open innovation communities(OICs)are important for the development of modern enterprises.However,there are still many safety hazards and trust crises on community platforms.This paper proposes an approach that combines blockchain technology and an OIC,as blockchain technology provides a direction for solving trust and security problems in community platform transactions.Moreover,the design of smart contracts can ensure the implementation of transactions and improve their reliability.In this study,the participants in an OIC and three types of infringement problems were analyzed.The Byzantine Fault Tolerant(BFT)algorithm was applied to design the logic of smart contracts and the coupling between idea platforms and the blockchain.The protection mechanism of an OIC was established based on blockchain smart contract supervision to provide a better knowledge co-creation environment for OICs. 展开更多

The blockchain technology plays a significant role in the present era of information technology.In the last few years,this technology has been used effectively in several domains.It has already made significant differences in human life,as well as is intended to have noticeable impact in many other domains in the forthcoming years.The rapid growth in blockchain technology has created numerous new possibilities for use,especially for healthcare applications.The digital healthcare services require highly effective security methodologies that can integrate data security with the availablemanagement strategies.To test and understand this goal of security management in Saudi Arabian perspective,the authors performed a numerical analysis and simulation through a multi criteria decision making approach in this study.The authors adopted the fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process(AHP)for evaluating the effectiveness and then applied the fuzzy Technique forOrder of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution(TOPSIS)technique to simulate the validation of results.For eliciting highly corroborative and conclusive results,the study referred to a real time project of diabetes patients’management application of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia(KSA).The results discussed in this paper are scientifically proven and validated through various analysis approaches.Hence the present study can be a credible basis for other similar endeavours being undertaken in the domain of blockchain research. 展开更多

Privacy and trust are significant issues in intelligent transportation systems(ITS).Data security is critical in ITS systems since sensitive user data is communicated to another user over the internet through wireless devices and routes such as radio channels,optical fiber,and blockchain technology.The Internet of Things(IoT)is a network of connected,interconnected gadgets.Privacy issues occasionally arise due to the amount of data generated.However,they have been primarily addressed by blockchain and smart contract technology.While there are still security issues with smart contracts,primarily due to the complexity of writing the code,there are still many challenges to consider when designing blockchain designs for the IoT environment.This study uses traditional blockchain technology with the“You Only Look Once”(YOLO)object detection method to accurately locate and identify license plates.While YOLO and blockchain technologies used for intelligent vehicle license plate recognition are promising,they have received limited research attention.Real-time object identification and recognition would be possible by combining a cutting-edge object detection technique with a regional convolutional neural network(RCNN)built with the tensor flow core open source libraries.This method works reasonably well for identifying any license plate.The Automatic License Plate Recognition(ALPR)approach delivered outstanding results in various datasets.First,with a recognition rate of 96.2%,our system(UFPR-ALPR)surpassed the previously used technology,consisting of 4500 frames and around 150 films.Second,a deep learning algorithm was trained to recognize images of license plate numbers using the UFPR-ALPR dataset.Third,the license plate’s characters were complicated for standard methods to identify because of the shifting lighting correctly.The proposed model,however,produced beneficial outcomes. 展开更多

The study aims to investigate the financial technology(FinTech)factors influencing Chinese banking performance.Financial expectations and global realities may be changed by FinTech’s multidimensional scope,which is lacking in the traditional financial sector.The use of technology to automate financial services is becoming more important for economic organizations and industries because the digital age has seen a period of transition in terms of consumers and personalization.The future of FinTech will be shaped by technologies like the Internet of Things,blockchain,and artificial intelligence.The involvement of these platforms in financial services is a major concern for global business growth.FinTech is becoming more popular with customers because of such benefits.FinTech has driven a fundamental change within the financial services industry,placing the client at the center of everything.Protection has become a primary focus since data are a component of FinTech transactions.The task of consolidating research reports for consensus is very manual,as there is no standardized format.Although existing research has proposed certain methods,they have certain drawbacks in FinTech payment systems(including cryptocurrencies),credit markets(including peer-to-peer lending),and insurance systems.This paper implements blockchainbased financial technology for the banking sector to overcome these transition issues.In this study,we have proposed an adaptive neuro-fuzzy-based K-nearest neighbors’algorithm.The chaotic improved foraging optimization algorithm is used to optimize the proposed method.The rolling window autoregressive lag modeling approach analyzes FinTech growth.The proposed algorithm is compared with existing approaches to demonstrate its efficiency.The findings showed that it achieved 91%accuracy,90%privacy,96%robustness,and 25%cyber-risk performance.Compared with traditional approaches,the recommended strategy will be more convenient,safe,and effective in the transition period. 展开更多

With the increasingly prominent problem of food safety,the quality traceability of characteristic agricultural products has become a pressing issue.This study focuses on the application of blockchain technology in the traceability of characteristic agricultural products,aiming to explore its potential and practical value in improving the efficiency and transparency of the traceability system of agricultural products.Through the combination of case analysis and model construction,a blockchain-based traceability system for characteristic agricultural products was established.The results showed that the traceability system could effectively record the whole process information of agricultural products from production and processing to sales,and greatly improve the immutability and traceability of data.Lastly,this paper also points out that the use of blockchain technology can improve the market trust in characteristic agricultural products,provide consumers with authentic and reliable product information,and provide new technical means for the quality management of agricultural products. 展开更多

The advancements in sensing technologies,information processing,and communication schemes have revolutionized the healthcare sector.Electronic Healthcare Records(EHR)facilitate the patients,doctors,hospitals,and other stakeholders to maintain valuable data and medical records.The traditional EHRs are based on cloud-based architectures and are susceptible to multiple cyberattacks.A single attempt of a successful Denial of Service(DoS)attack can compromise the complete healthcare system.This article introduces a secure and immutable blockchain-based framework for the Internet of Medical Things(IoMT)to address the stated challenges.The proposed architecture is on the idea of a lightweight private blockchain-based network that facilitates the users and hospitals to perform multiple healthcare-related operations in a secure and trustworthy manner.The efficacy of the proposed framework is evaluated in the context of service execution time and throughput.The experimental outcomes indicate that the proposed design attained lower service execution time and higher throughput under different control parameters. 展开更多

This paper considers a platform-led e-commerce supply chain consisted of a supplier and an online platform.The supplier distributes products through the online platform operated with reselling or agency mode.The online platform invests in blockchain technology and the supplier shares partial investment cost.The paper formulates four platform Stackelberg models to analyze the optimal pricing and information traceability level without and with cost-sharing mechanism under two platform modes.Through the model comparison,the impact of the cost-sharing mechanism and the choice of the platform mode are investigated.Results suggests that the cost-sharing mechanism is effective in improving two members profits under two platform modes.Without cost-sharing mechanism,the supplier benefits from the agency platform mode while the online platform benefits from the reselling platform mode,and thereby the win-win outcome cannot be achieved between two members.With cost-sharing mechanism,the supplier benefits from the agency platform mode while the online platform benefits from the reselling(agency)platform mode with a low(high)blockchain investment efficiency,and thereby the win-win outcome can be achieved between two members through the agency platform mode under a high blockchain investment efficiency.This paper further extends to the case that the online platform operates with hybrid mode,and derive the insights into the value of the agency platform mode in achieving the win-win outcome through the cost-sharing mechanism. 展开更多

Improving supply chain Transparency:The role of blockchain technology and its impact on return shipping insurance

Using return shipping insurance(RSI)to address product returns is common in e-com-merce,while adopting blockchain technology(BCT)for product traceability not only significantly reduces the inspection costs of returned products but also improves con-sumer utility(i.e.,reduces return rates).However,despite these two distinct roles of BCT,the conditions under which retailers adopt BCT and its impact on RSI choice have not been thoroughly examined.To fll this gap,we construct six analytical models to investigate BCT-driven product traceability and its interplay with RSI.In these models,the retailer decides on the traceability level(in the BCT scenario),product price,and refund amount under different RSI strategies,depending on the retailer and consumer premiums:the retailer pays(Free RSI),the consumer pays(Faf RSI),or no RSI is provided(No RSI).We find that when the operational cost is low,the retailer always benefits from adopting BCT.However,with high operational costs,BCT is only preferred when inspection costs are also high.Notably,adopting BCT encourages retailers to offer RSI primarily under high in-spection costs without necessarily increasing product prices.RSI also has varying effects on traceability:offering a Free RSI strategy reduces the retailer's incentive to increase trace-ability,while offering a Faf RSI strategy may enhance it.In summary,RSI and BCT can act as substitutes or complements.When the consumer(retailer)premium is low and the pro-portion of RSI-sensitive consumers is high(low),the retailer substitutes a Faf(Free)RSI for high traceability.When the consumer premium is moderate and the retailer premium is high,BCT and Faf RSI are mutually reinforcing.When both premiums are high,the retailer prefers BCT over offering RSI. 展开更多

The application of Blockchain Technology(BT)makes consumers trace more product information and enhances their trust in the product brand,but it also brings cost pressure to some participants who adopt the technology.Thus,it is particularly important how to encourage and support more enterprises to participate in BT.This study incorporates the altruistic preference into a BT-enabled three-echelon supply chain consisting of a powerful retailer,a supplier,and a manufacturer.We investigate the optimal strategies of the supply chain in different scenarios:without and with the BT,and without and with the altruistic preference.Then,we explore the effects of the BT and the retailer’s altruistic preference on the profit performance of the supply chain system.The results show that the retailer,the manufacturer,and the supplier do not always benefit from the traceability of the BT,and while the powerful retailer’s altruistic preference decreases his or her own profit but increases the profits of the manufacturer,the supplier,and the entire supply chain.Finally,a profit redistribution mechanism is designed to coordinate the supply chain with the retailer’s altruistic preference under the BT. 展开更多

There are many distributed renewable energy sources available and the network participants in energy delivery have also increased. This makes the management of the new power grid with integrated distributed renewable energy sources extremely complex. Applying the technical advantages of blockchain technology to this complex system to manage peer-to-peer energy sharing, transmission, data storage and build smart contracts between network participants can develop an optimal consensus mechanism within the new power grid. This paper proposes a new framework for the application of blockchain in a decentralised energy network. The microgrid is assumed to be private and managed by local prosumers. An overview description of the proposed model and a case study are presented in the paper. 展开更多
