A new term - 'relative permeability number' (RPN) was firstly defined, and then used to describe the degree of water block. Imbibition process simulations show that the RPN drops in accordance with the extension of the averaged pore throat radius from 0.05 to 1.5 μm, and yet once beyond that point of 1.5 μm, the RPN reaches a higher value, indicating the existence of a critical pore throat radius where water block is the maximum. When the wettability of the samples changes from water-wet to weakly water-wet, weakly gas-wet, or gas(oil)-wet, the gas RPN increases consistently, but this consistency is disturbed by the RPN dropping for weakly water-wet samples for water saturations less than 0.4, which means weakly waterwet media are more easily water blocked than water-wet systems. In the situation where the initial water saturation exceeds 0.05, water block escalates along with an increase in initial water saturation.展开更多

With the help of the perturbed inverse scattering transform method, nonlinear parameter equations can be derived to describe the evolution of the dipole soliton amplitude, frequency, group velocity and phase under the forcing of localized synoptic-scale eddies. The numerical solutions of these equations predict that in the interaction between the weak dipole soliton (weak incipient dipole anomaly) and the synoptic-scale eddies, only when the high-frequency eddies themselves have a moderate parameter match they can near resonantly enhance a quasi-stationary large-amplitude split flow. The instantaneous total streamfunction field (the sum of background westerly wind, envelope Rossby soliton and synoptic-scale waves) is found to be very similar to the observed Berggren-type blocking on the weather map(Berggren et al. 1949). The role of synoptic-scale eddies is to increase the amplitude of large-scale dipole anomaly flow, and to decrease its group velocity, phase velocity and zonal wavenumber so that the dipole anomaly system can be amplified and transferred from dispersive system to very weak dispersive one. This may explain why and how the synoptic-scale eddies can reinforce and maintain vortex pair block. Furthermore, it is clearly found that during the prevalence of the vortex pair block the synoptic-scale eddies are split into two branches around the vortex pair block due to the feedback of amplified dipole block. Because the location, size, shape and intensity of brain tumors vary greatly, itis very difficult to segment these brain tumor regions automatically. In this paper, by combining the advantagesof DenseNet and ResNet, we proposed a new 3D U-Net with dense encoder blocks and residual decoder blocks. We used dense blocks in the encoder part and residual blocks in the decoder part. The number of output featuremaps increases with the network layers in contracting path of encoder, which is consistent with the characteristicsof dense blocks. Using dense blocks can decrease the number of network parameters, deepen network layers, strengthen feature propagation, alleviate vanishing-gradient and enlarge receptive fields. The residual blockswere used in the decoder to replace the convolution neural block of original U-Net, which made the networkperformance better. Our proposed approach was trained and validated on the BraTS2019 training and validationdata set. We obtained dice scores of 0.901, 0.815 and 0.766 for whole tumor, tumor core and enhancing tumorcore respectively on the BraTS2019 validation data set. Our method has the better performance than the original3D U-Net. The results of our experiment demonstrate that compared with some state-of-the-art methods, ourapproach is a competitive automatic brain tumor segmentation method.展开更多

It is shown that the superposition of initial three Rossby waves for zonal wavenumbers 1 (monopole), 2 (dipole), and 3 (monopole), which permit triad quasi-resonance, can represent an incipient blocking event. The synoptic-scale eddies may act to amplify the incipient blocking and to excite a blocking circulation with a strong meander, whose flow pattern depends on the initial amplitudes of the planetary waves and both the intensity and location of preexisting synoptic-scale waves. The onset (decay) of the planetary-scale split-flow blocking is mainly represented by a strong increase (decrease) in the amplitude of the zonal wavenumber 2 component, having a dipole meridional structure related to the preexisting synoptic-scale eddies. The typical persistence time of the model blocking was of about 20 days, consistent with observations of blocking patterns. In our model, isolated asymmetric dipole blocking is formed by synoptic-scale waves. The instantaneous fields of total streamfunctions exhibit a remarkable resemblance to the synoptic maps observed during the life cycle of blocking. During the onset stage, the synoptic-scale waves are enhanced and split into two branches around the blocking region due to the feedback of the amplified blocking, in agreement with the observed changes of synoptic-scale waves in real blocking events. In addition, a diagnostic case study of blocking is presented to confirm the forced quasi-resonant triad interaction theory proposed here.展开更多

文摘The accretion of the Panama-ChocóBlock to the South American Plate partially drove the geological setting of the northern Andes. This event occurred in different collisional stages that are recorded in Oligocene-middle Miocene deformed rocks of the inter-Andean valley between the Western and Central Cordilleras of Colombia. However, uncertainty remains about the age of the latest accretionary phases of the Panama-ChocóBlock.Poorly studied late Miocene volcanic rocks within the northern inter-Andean valley may provide key information to constrain the temporality of that final collision. Here,we study the deformational features of the~12-6 Ma extrusive rocks of the Combia Volcanic Province located in the northwestern Andes(Colombia). We present anisotropy of magnetic susceptibility(AMS)data for pyroclastic and volcanic rocks within the AmagáBasin,an inter-Andean depression with Oligocene-middle Miocene sedimentary rocks that recorded NW-SE compression and NE-SW simple shear caused by the Panama-ChocóBlock collision. We identified that the magnetic fabrics of the extrusive rocks of the Combia Volcanic Province reveal flow directions that indicate the occurrence of ancient volcanoes in the central axis of the AmagáBasin. Some of these fabrics do not contain any deformational features, whereas others record the same structural regime as the Oligocene-middle Miocene sedimentary rocks. We infer that variations in the intensity of the deformation promoted late Miocene local fault reactivations that,in contrast to the Oligocene-middle Miocene deformational events, did not affect the entire AmagáBasin.Age differences among the studied sections can also explain the different deformational patterns identified in the basin. Both interpretations suggest that the most significant collisional events of the Panama-ChocóBlock occurred in the Oligocene-middle Miocene, whereas the formation of the Combia Volcanic Province may have either followed or coincided with the latest stages of the accretion.

文摘Switchable polymerization is emerging as a powerful tool to construct block copolymers directly from mixtures of monomers. However, current achievements typically iterate between two polymerization cycles to afford products with fixed sequences and compositions.Herein,we report the triethylborane/1,8-diazabicyclo[5.4.0]undec-7-ene(Et_3B/DBU)pair-mediated four-component switchable polymerization of propylene oxide(PO),CO_(2),phthalic anhydride(PA),and racemic lactide(rac-LA),which enables the on-demand synthesis of four different block copolymers,i.e.,poly(propylene phthalate)-b-polylactide(PPE-b-PLA),PPE-b-PLA-b-poly(propylene carbonate)(PPC),PPE-b-PPC-b-PLA,and PPE-b-PPCb-poly(propylene oxide)(PPO),through rationally modulating the Lewis pair(LP)ratio.Core to this protocol is that increasing the loading of Et_(3)B accelerates the ring-opening of PO while impeding the reactivity of rac-LA,thus allowing for fine-tuning of the thermodynamic and kinetic of the switchable polymerization. Therefore, the four polymerization cycles involving PO/PA ring-opening copolymerization(ROCOP),PO/CO_(2) ROCOP,rac-LA ring-opening polymerization(ROP),and PO ROP can be connected and discriminated in precisely programmed manners.

文摘Waste graphitization cathode carbon blocks are a type of hazardous solid waste generated during the aluminum electrolysis process, and their proper disposal is a key step in the resource utilization of discarded graphite. This study utilizes the porous“defect advantage”of a cathode carbon block matrix to prepare silicon-doped and asphalt-coated detoxified and purified waste graphitization cathode carbon blocks for use as high-performance silicon/carbon composite anode materials. The results show that the uniformly silicondoped silicon/carbon composite material features a unique amorphous carbon-encapsulated“locked silicon”structure, which effectively addresses issues such as cathode volume expansion, excessive growth of the solid electrolyte interphase(SEI)film, and poor electrical contact between active materials.Consequently, electrochemical performance is enhanced. After assembly in a half-cell,the PSCC/10%Si@C(purified waste graphitization cathode carbon/10%Si@C)material exhibits optimal electrochemical stability, with an initial charging specific capacity of 514.5 mAh/g at 0.1 C(1 C=170 mA/g)and a capacity retention rate of 95.1%after 100 cycles. At a charge rate of 2.0 C,a specific capacity of 216.9 mAh/g is achieved. This technology provides a new pathway for the economical and high-value utilization of waste cathode carbon blocks and the development of low-cost,high-performance anode materials.

文摘Star-shaped six-arm polymers with hexaaza[2_(6)]orthoparacyclophane core and arms of block copolymers of poly-2-ethyl-5,6-dihydrooxazine with poly-2-isopropyl-5,6-dihydrooxazine were synthesized successfully using cationic ring-opening polymerization. The ratio of blocks, the order of their attachment to the core, and arm length were varied.Conformation of synthesized stars was determined by methods of molecular hydrodynamics and optics. It has been shown that star-shaped molecules were characterized by high intramolecular density, and the arm folding increased with their lengthening. The influence of the structure of block copolymers and their molar mass on the critical micelle concentration has been established.Complexes of synthesized star-shaped block copolymers with curcumin were obtained and the efficient binding of curcumin to polymer molecules was demonstrated. The behavior of the aqueous solutions of the prepared polymer stars and their complexes with curcumin was investigated by light scattering and turbidimetry methods. The influence of the structure and molar mass of star polymers on their thermoresponsiveness and the phase separation temperatures in aqueous solutions was analyzed.A slight increase in the phase separation temperature was found on passage from polymer solutions to solutions of polymer complexes with hydrophobic curcumin.
文摘Since real world communication channels are not error free, the coded data transmitted on them may be corrupted, and block based image coding systems are vulnerable to transmission impairment. So the best neighborhood match method using genetic algorithm is used to conceal the error blocks. Experimental results show that the searching space can be greatly reduced by using genetic algorithm compared with exhaustive searching method, and good image quality is achieved. The peak signal noise ratios(PSNRs) of the restored images are increased greatly.

文摘A pore network model was used in this paper to investigate the factors, in particular, throat radius, wettability and initial water saturation, causing water block in low permeability reservoirs. In the situation where the initial water saturation exceeds 0.05, water block escalates along with an increase in initial water saturation.

文摘In this paper, in an equivalent barotropic framework a new forced nonlinear Schroedinger equation is proposed to examine the interaction between the planetary-scale waves and the localized synoptic-scale eddies upstream. 文摘This paper proposes a Linkage Learning Genetic Algorithm(LLGA)based on the messy Genetic Algorithm(mGA)to optimize the Min-Max fuel controller performance in Gas Turbine Engine(GTE).For this purpose,a GTE fuel controller Simulink model based on the Min-Max selection strategy is firstly built. Then, the objective function that considers both performance indices(response time and fuel consumption)and penalty items(fluctuation, tracking error, overspeed and acceleration/deceleration)is established to quantify the controller performance.Next, the task to optimize the fuel controller is converted to find the optimization gains combination that could minimize the objective function while satisfying constraints and limitations. In order to reduce the optimization time and to avoid trapping in the local optimums, two kinds of building block detection methods including lower fitness value method and bigger fitness value change method are proposed to determine the most important bits which have more contribution on fitness value of the chromosomes. Then the procedures to apply LLGA in controller gains tuning are specified stepwise and the optimization results in runway condition are depicted subsequently. Finally, the comparison is made between the LLGA and the simple GA in GTE controller optimization to confirm the effectiveness of the proposed approach. The results show that the LLGA method can get better solution than simple GA within the same iterations or optimization time. The extension applications of the LLGA method in other flight conditions and the complete flight mission simulation will be carried out in partⅡ.

文摘The main task of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) automatic brain tumor segmentation is to automaticallysegment the brain tumor edema, peritumoral edema, endoscopic core, enhancing tumor core and nonenhancingtumor core from 3D MR images. The results of our experiment demonstrate that compared with some state-of-the-art methods, ourapproach is a competitive automatic brain tumor segmentation method.

文摘In this paper, a new transient forced quasi-resonant triad interaction theory in a beta channel is proposed to investigate the interaction between planetary-scale diffluent flow composed of zonal wavenumbers 1-3 and synoptic-scale waves produced continuously by a synoptic-scale vorticity source fixed upstream of an incipient blocking region during the life cycle of blocking. In addition, a diagnostic case study of blocking is presented to confirm the forced quasi-resonant triad interaction theory proposed here.
