文摘Marine algae are valuable sources of health-promoting molecules that have been consumed by Asians for decades.Among aquatic flora, marine algae stand out in terms of high content of marine algae polysaccharides(MAP)such as carrageenan, alginate, fucoidan, laminaran, agarose, rhamnan, and ulvan. When hydrolyzed,MAP generate marine algae oligosaccharides(MAO),which have attracted interest in recent years due to their superior solubility compared with MAP.Besides,MAO have been demonstrated numerous biological activities including antioxidant,antidiabetic,anti-inflammatory,antimicrobial,and prebiotic activities. Thus, this review summarizes the main chemical classes of MAO,their sources, and the main processes used for their production(i.e.,physical,chemical,and biological methods),coupled with a discussion of the advantages and disadvantages of these methods.Highlights of the biological activities of MAO and their potential applications in food, nutraceutical, and pharmaceuticals would also be discussed and summarized.
文摘Sarcandra glabra(Thunb.)Nakai is a perennial evergreen herb categorised within the Sarcandra Gardner genus under the Chloranthaceae family.Indigenous to tropical and subtropical regions of East Asia and India, this species is extensively distributed across China, particularly in the southern regions(Sichuan,Yunnan, and Jiangxi). In addition to its high ornamental value,S.glabra has a rich history of use in traditional Chinese medicine, evident through its empirical prescriptions for various ailments like pneumonia, dysentery, fractures, bruises, numbness, amenorrhea, rheumatism, and other diseases.Besides, modern pharmacological studies have revealed various biological activities, such as antitumour,anti-bacterial,anti-viral anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory effects. The diverse chemical constituents of S.glabra have fascinated natural product researchers since the 1900s.To date, over 400 compounds including terpenoids, coumarins, lignans, flavonoids, sterols, anthraquinones, organic acids, and organic esters have been isolated and characterised, some featuring unprecedented structures. This review comprehensively examines the current understanding of S.glabra’s phytochemistry and pharmacology, with emphasis on the chemistry and biosynthesis of its unique chemotaxonomic marker, the lindenane-type sesquiterpenoids.

文摘Brown algae is one of the three major types of marine algae and includes approximately 2000 species. It is widely dis-tributed in various seas around the world.Brown algae contain a plethora of active substances, such as polysaccharides,polyphe-nols,omega-3 fatty acids, and carotenoids.Laminarin,a type of storage carbohydrate found abundantly in brown algae,is mainly formed by glucose monomers linked byβ-1,3-glucosidic bonds and partialβ-1,6-glucosidic bonds.Laminarin and laminarin oligo-saccharides,which contain 2-10 saccharide units, have extensive biological activities, such as antitumor,antioxidant,anti-inflam-matory,and prebiotic properties. Moreover, both laminarin and laminarin oligosaccharides can be considered as ideal substrates for bioethanol production because they are composed of abundant glucose residues. Therefore, brown algae-derived laminarin and lami-narin oligosaccharides have various potential applications in the food, medicine, cosmetics, and bioenergy fields. This paper reviews the preparation methods of laminarin and laminarin oligosaccharides,as well as their biological activities and potential applications.
文摘(E) -2- ( 1H-Benzo [ d ] [ 1,2,3 ] trlazol-1-yl) -3- (4-chlorophenyl) -3 -hydroxy-N-phenylprop-2 -enethioamide ( compound 1 ) and (E) -2- ( 1H-benzo [ d ] [ 1,2,3 ] trlazol-1-yl ) -3 -hydroxy-N, 3 -diphenylprop-2-enethioamide ( compound 2) were synthesized and their structures were confirmed by means of IR, MS, ^1H NMR, and elemental analysis. The structure of compound 1 was determined with single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. The results of the biological test show that the two compounds have a certain antifungal activity.

文摘Oleanolic acid(OA),a pentacyclic triterpenoid, exhibits a broad spectrum of biological activities, including antitumor,antiviral,antibacterial,anti-inflammatory,hepatoprotective,hypoglycemic,and hypolipidemic effects.Since its initial isolation and identification, numerous studies have reported on the structural modifications and pharmacological activities of OA and its derivatives.Despite this, there has been a dearth of comprehensive reviews in the past two decades, leading to challenges in subsequent research on OA.Based on the main biological activities of OA,this paper comprehensively summarized the modification strategies and structureactivity relationships(SARs)of OA and its derivatives to provide valuable reference for future investigations into OA.
