Clinical observation of cerebral palsy treated with Chinese massage for promoting the Governor Vessel, benefiting the kidney and strengthening the spleen combined with music therapy 被引量:4

Objective To observe the effects on the range of motion (ROM) of ankle joint and muscular spasm of the lower limbs treated with Chinese massage for promoting the Governor Vessel, benefiting the kidney and strengthening the spleen combined with music therapy in infantile cerebral palsy (CP). Methods In 286 cases of spasmodic CP, 7 kinds of Chinese massage were adopted, named massage on acupoints to promote circulation of the Governor Vessel, massage for strengthening the spleen and benefiting qi, spine-pinching therapy, segmental massage, foot massage, massage for promoting the recovery of muscle strength and massage for promoting ROM of joints. Chinese massage was applied in musical background. Buddha music and five-element music of Chinese medicine (music of the Heart, Liver and Kidney Meridians) were optioned. The treatment was given once or twice a day and 30 days made one course. The angles of femoral adductor and dorsal flexion of foot as well as the score of composite spasticity scale (CSS) were observed before and after treatment so that the therapeutic effect was assessed. Results In 30 days of treatment, 106 cases (37. 1%) were effective markedly, 172 cases (60. 1%) effective and 8 cases (2.8%) failed. The angle of dorsal flexion of foot was (105.64± 12.66)° and (76.58± 9.89)° before and after treatment respectively; the angle of femoral adductor was (119.89±25.47)° and (158.99± 18.66)° before and after treatment respectively; the score of CSS was (12.39±2.56) and (7. 069 ± 2.97) before and after treatment respectivel, there was significant difference before and after treatment (all P〈0.01). Conclusion Chinese massage for promoting the Governor Vessel, benefiting the kidney and strengthening the spleen combined with music therapy brings the extremely active effect into play on the recovery of sitting, kneeling, standing and walking for children with CP. 展开更多

Using mitochondria as the target of traditional Chinese medicine in cardiomyocytes to explore the treatment of ischemic Effective measures for heart disease have become a hotspot for related Chinese medicine workers. The bulk of the world’s millet crop is produced by India,Nigeria,Niger,Mali,Burkina Faso,Chad,and China.Finger millet(Eleusine coracana(L.)Gaertn),little millet(Panicum sumatrense Roth ex Roem.&Schult.),foxtail millet(Setaria italica(L.)P.Beauvois)and proso millet(Panicum miliaceum L.)are most commonly found species among various millet varieties.In India,finger millet occupy the largest area under cultivation among the small millets.Finger millet stands unique among the cereals such as barley,rye and oats with higher nutritional contents and has outstanding properties as a subsistence food crop.It is rich in calcium(0.34%),dietary fiber(18%),phytates(0.48%),protein(6%–13%)minerals(2.5%–3.5%),and phenolics(0.3%–3%).Moreover,it is also a rich source of thiamine,riboflavin,iron,methionine,isoleucine,leucine,phenylalanine and other essential amino acids.The abundance of these phytochemicals enhances the nutraceutical potential of finger millet,making it a powerhouse of health benefiting nutrients.It has distinguished health beneficial properties,such as anti-diabetic(type 2 diabetes mellitus),anti-diarrheal,antiulcer,anti-inflammatory,antitumerogenic(K562 chronic myeloid leukemia),atherosclerogenic effects,antimicrobial and antioxidant properties. 展开更多

Areas Benefiting from Water Conservation in Key Ecological Function Areas in China 被引量:4

Ecosystem services are transferred from the service-providing area to the service-benefiting area to satisfy human needs through some substance, energy or information. Most studies focus on the provision of ecosystem services and few focus on the demands on ecosystem services and their spatial distribution. Here, on the basis of the flow of water conservation services from the providing area to the benefiting area, the benefits produced by water conservation service are investigated and the benefiting areas are identified. The results indicate that in 2010 the water conservation service of key ecological function areas provided irrigation water for 1.67×105 km2 of paddy fields and 1.01×105 km2 irrigated fields, domestic water to urban residents and industrial water to factories, mines and enterprises of 2.64×104 km2 urban construction land and domestic water to rural residents across 3.73×104 km2 of rural settlements and formed 6.64×104 km2 of inland water which can be used for freshwater aquaculture, downstream regions comprise 1.31×104 km of navigable river, which can be used for inland shipping. The benefit areas of the key function areas located in the upper and middle reaches of the Yangtze River are greater and more influential benefit areas. To protect these key function areas, more attention should be paid to the maintenance and improvement of water conservation. Some benefit areas have access to the benefits produced by water conservation of nine key ecological function areas and cover 17% of the overall benefit area and the length of their channels benefited accounts for 7%. Multiple key ecological function areas should be taken into account equally in the formulation of ecological compensation policies. These research findings can serve as a scientific basis for the compensated use of and ecological compensation for ecosystem services provided by key ecological function areas. 展开更多

Rural domestic sewage treatment is critical for environmental protection.This study defines the spatial pattern of villages from the perspective of rural sewage treatment and develops an integrated decision-making system to propose a sewage treatment mode and scheme suitable for local conditions.By considering the village spatial layout and terrain factors,a decision tree model of residential density and terrain type was constructed with accuracies of 76.47%and 96.00%,respectively.Combined with binary classification probability unit regression,an appropriate sewage treatment mode for the village was determined with 87.00%accuracy.The Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP),combined with the Technique for Order Preference(TOPSIS)by Similarity to an Ideal Solution model,formed the basis for optimal treatment process selection under different emission standards.Verification was conducted in 542 villages across three counties of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region,focusing on the standard effluent effect(0.3773),low investment cost(0.3196),and high standard effluent effect(0.5115)to determine the best treatment process for the same emission standard under different needs.The annual environmental and carbon emission benefits of sewage treatment in these villages were estimated.This model matches village density,geographic feature,and social development level,and provides scientific support and a theoretical basis for rural sewage treatment decision-making. 展开更多

Urban green spaces have positive effects on both physical and mental wellbeing.However,few studies have focused on the trends and thresholds of the effects of different influences on restorative benefits when viewing scenes differfeaturing plant communities.We measured subjective evaluations and objective physiological data from 44 participants who viewed images of plant communities in the yellow to green hue range to compare differences in restorative benefits among plant communities at different visual distances,as well as quantifying the influencing factors involved.The following results were found:(1)Coniferous and multi-layered plant communities were found to provide greater restorative benefits,and the restorative benefits grew with increasing visual distance.(2)Shape and color characteristics were significantly correlated with restorative benefits,but the relationship is not simply linear.(3)The restorative benefits were found to be greatest when crown proportion was 61.23%,trunk proportion ranged from 4.11%to 13.70%,and the value of color index value ranged from 25.44%to 35.56%;the restorative benefits gradually increased when sky proportion exceeded 12.95%-13.19%,the fractal dimension exceeded 1.62-1.67,and hue index exceeded 91.64°-95.67°;additionally,the restorative benefits decreased when the saturation index increased.This study provides a scientific basis for the construction and improvement of plant landscapes in urban green spaces. 展开更多

Biomass structural materials can effectively address the issues of high energy consumption and environmental degradation brought by traditional engineering structural materials.However,natural structural materials often suffer from drawbacks such as low mechanical performance and flammability.Therefore,this study has developed an ultra-strong fire-resistant bamboo composite(UFBC).Natural bamboo(NB)was used as the raw material.After delignification treatment,bamboo fibers are grafted with epoxy groups through in-situ chemical bonding.Subsequently,polymer chains underwent in-situ chemical cross-linking within the bamboo fiber framework,combined with reinforcement from nano silica,resulting in strengthened cell walls.In addition,the softened and expanded cell walls can facilitate the deposition of phosphate and borate salt on the cell walls,forming an N-P-B flame-retardant system within the system.The tensile strength(463 MPa vs NB 112 MPa)and flexural strength(655 MPa vs NB 157 MPa)of UFBC increased fourfold,with a Limiting Oxygen Index(LOI)of 54.4%.Compared to similar bamboo-based composite materials,UFBC exhibits superior environmental friendliness and sustainability throughout its lifecycle,with all 18 environmental factors being optimized(up to a 92%reduction).This study provides an important reference for the application of high-performance biomass structural materials in construction and industry. 展开更多

In the application of clean energy heating,the development of a low-carbon winter heat supply in severe cold regions of China is hindered by the stability of heat sources.To ensure the smooth transformation of traditional energy to clean energy heating modes,the feasibility of a heating system coupling traditional and clean energies was studied using the heating system of an office building in a cold region of China as the research object.The air-source heat pump(ASHP)heating system used in the office building in this study was field-tested.The problems existing in the heating system were analysed using testing data combined with the existing conditions of the building.Solar-air source heat pump coupled heating system based on heat grid(NH-SASHP)was proposed,and the system model was established using TRNSYS software.The operation effect of the NH-SASHP coupling system was analysed,and the control strategy of the coupling system was optimized.The results showed that NH-SASHP system possessed certain advantages over the ASHP system during the heating season,and the energy saving rate is 50.79%compared with the ASHP system.Under the most unfavourable working conditions in the middle of severe cold,the indoor temperature compliance rate was 100%.The average coefficient of performance of the heat pump system(COPsys)of NH-SASHP system and ASHP system were 6.27 and 3.55,respectively.The operating cost of the NH-SASHP system is approximately 72.3%of the ASHP system. 展开更多

Understanding the complex interactions between human activities and ecosystem functions is a prerequisite for achieving sustainable development.Since the implementation of the“Grain for Green”Project in 1999,ecosystem functions in China’s Loess Plateau have significantly improved.However,intensified human activities have also exacerbated the pressures on the region’s fragile ecological environment.This study investigates the spatiotemporal variations in the human activity intensity index(HAI)and net ecosystem benefits(NEB)from 2000 to 2020,using expert-based assessments and an enhanced cost-benefit evaluation framework.Results indicate that HAI increased by 16.7% and 16.6% at the grid and county levels,respectively.NEB exhibited pronounced spatial heterogeneity,with a total increase of USD 36.2 trillion at the grid scale.At the county level,the average NEB rose by 75%.The degree of trade-off was higher at the grid scale than at the county scale,while the synergistic areas initially expanded and then declined at both scales.Key areas for improvement and regions of lagging development were identified as priority zones for ecological management and spatial planning at both spatial resolutions.This study offers scientific insights and practical guidance for harmonizing ecological conservation with high-quality development in ecologically vulnerable regions. 展开更多

Among the “three data rights,” the data utilization right has been persistently overlooked, and is similar to a neglected “middle child” in the context of the data rights family. However, it is precisely during the stages of processing and utilization that data undergoes its transformations and where its economic value is ultimately created. A series of recent policy documents on treating data as a factor of production have emphasized that the building of a scientific data property rights system requires a fair and efficient mechanism for benefit distribution, which provides reasonable preference for creators of data value and use value in terms of the income generated by data elements. Constrained by the inertial thinking of property right logic, the data utilization right is often regarded as a “transitional fulcrum” wherein the holders of data resources have to authorize the operators of data products to realize data value thereby. In the future structural design and implementation of the coordination mechanism for the property right system against the backdrop of the data factor-oriented reform, the establishment of data processing and utilization as an independent right will require the implementation of two core initiatives: first, attaching importance to the independent protection of the benefit distribution;second, implementing risk regulation for data security through optimization of governance. These two initiatives will serve as the key for optimizing the data factor governance system and accelerating the release of data value. 展开更多

This study aims to prepare ternary all-solid-waste cementitious materials to completely replace ordinary Portland cement(OPC).Ground granulated blast-furnace slag(GGBS),carbide slag(CS),sulfate solid waste phosphogypsum(PG),electrolytic manganese residue(EMR)and desulfurized gypsum(DG)were used as raw materials to prepare GGBS-PG-CS(GPC),GGBS-EMR-CS(GEC)and GGBS-DG-CS(GDC)ternary all-solid-waste cementitious materials.Macro and microscopic tests were carried out to reveal the mechanical properties and microscopic characteristics,as well as to quantitatively evaluate the environmental and economic benefits.The results show that the optimal ratios of GPC,GEC and GDC are 80:18:2,60:36:4 and 80:18:2,respectively.The corresponding 28 d-unconfined compressive strength(UCS)are 1.62,1.22 and 1.01 times that of OPC,respectively.Carbon emissions and costs per unit strength can be reduced by more than 97%and 57%,respectively.Microscopic analysis shows that the incorporation of sulfate solid waste can synergistically activate GGBS with CS to induce the growth of more needle-like ettringite(AFt),which filled the internal pores and improved the strength of the cementitious material.The better mechanical properties of solidified engineering sediment waste(ESW)also confirm the feasibility of replacing OPC.In summary,this study developed all-solid-waste cementitious materials with excellent mechanical performance,low costs and carbon emissions,which provided a sustainable and economic solution for ESW stabilization. 展开更多
